Quote
"Everyone keeps telling me that I'm the worst Ghost Rider that's ever lived. Like that's supposed to be some kinda insult. But what the hell have the Ghost Riders ever done? Except bring misery to themselves and everyone they love. Except die alone or go bat-$#3487@ crazy. Well, That's not me, Uncle Eli. That's not how I'm going out. To hell with being a Spirit of Vengeance. I'm an Avenger. And I'll be damned if I'm losing this race."

Profile

Robbie Reyes never expected to be much in his life. Son of simple people who had some unlucky hands in life or a caretaker of everything he held dear. He didn't expect to be an older brother, a protective one at that. He didn't think he'd drop out of High School. He didn't think his parents would die when he was 16. He didn't think His Uncle from beyond the grave would turn him into a creature of vengeance.

Description:

Robbie Reyes is a young hispanic man of average height with dark hair and heterochromatic eyes: green on the left and amber on the right. He has a single white streak in his hair. His face is even and well-shaped with sharp eyebrows, a strong jaw, a button nose, and normal-shaped lips. His cheeks are slightly hollowed and typically clean shaven. He has a single scar above his eyebrow.

He wears dark clothing more often than not. The only consistent piece of his attire is a leather jacket with white stripes that's usually paired with a hoodie. He enjoys wearing leather gloves for better steer handling and indulges in largely biker-trendy clothes. He doesn't wear graphic tees, but simple and affordable clothing.

When he becomes the Ghost Rider, his jacket converts into a black and white armored bodysuit. All skin and muscle tissue burns away until all that's left is a skeleton. While the skeleton is normal, his head is almost mechanically bone in nature, resembling a racing helmet.

History

History:

Robbie Reyes was born in the neighborhood of Hillrock Heights in Los Angeles, California to Alberto and Juliana Reyes. Hillrock Heights was filled to the brim with corruption and a plethora of criminal gangs, making life difficult for Robbie as he and his family experienced near constant harassment. When his mother, Juliana Reyes, was pregnant with Gabriel Reyes, his uncle Eli Morrow shoved her down the stairs to prove a point to her. Eli was later shot and killed by police officers and Gabriel was safely delivered by Hillrock Heights medical experts. However, Gabriel was born a paraplegic.

While Gabriel looked up to Robbie as a hero, Robbie had to carry the weight of the family early in life. Both of his parents were killed in a housefire. With Robbie becoming Gabriel's legal guardian, he dropped out of high school and worked odd jobs to take care of him. Additionally, he drove in illegal street races as a way to earn extra cash.

Eventually, a race with a grand prize of $50,000 dollars came up Robbie's social circles. Desperate to get Gabe out of this town and pave a way for a better life for him, Robbie borrowed a car from impound - little did he know that the car was inhabited by a powerful, vengeful spirit. Additionally, there was drugs in the trunk of the car that Robbie was unaware of. Drugs that belonged to the prominent gang of Hillrock Heights: The 5th Street Locos.

Robbie was winning the race by a mile. But he noticed people following him, whom he believed to be the police. When he drove himself into a dead end, Robbie peacefully exited the vehicle to try and explain himself only to be shot 25 times, killing him near-instantly. The gang tried to burn the evidence: Robbie's body and the car. But Robbie's body suddenly returned to life, inhabited by the presence in the car that transformed him into a Spirit of Vengeance: The Ghost Rider. The Rider proceeded to kill all gang members present.

Robbie awoke at his job, Canelo's Auto and Body. Believing it to be a nightmare, he heard a voice in his head and found the reflection of the Ghost Rider in the car. The demon revealed itself to be the lingering spirit of Eli Morrow, his uncle and a satanic serial killer who offered Robbie his chance at vengeance, using Gabe as leverage.

Together with Eli to become the Ghost Rider, Robbie killed every member of the Fifth Street Locos and the residents of Hillrock Heights considered Robbie the savior they prayed for, calling him 'La Leyenda de Hillrock Heights'. Robbie retrieved the stash of cash that the gang had collected over the years and used that money to leave Los Angeles for New York City to start a new life, getting a two-bedroom apartment and getting a simple job at an auto and body shop. Eli pressured Robbie to not just gain revenge for himself, but for others as well so he can feast on the souls of the truly depraved.

Robbie agreed on the sole condition of harming only the worst of humanity.

Personality

Personality:

Robbie Reyes is a selfless, hardworking, and caring young man. When he was still a teenager, he dropped out of High School in eleventh grade to serve as a guardian towards his younger brother, Gabriel Reyes, when finances were unsupportive and gives everything he can to provide a better and safer lifestyle for his brother, who is paraplegic. Robbie is a well-rounded and talented individual, earning good marks in school when he was in and filled with street smarts.

Robbie is not without risk. He has attended illegal street races and has done other trouble in order to try and make money to pay for Gabriel's medical needs. Since Robbie has become the Ghost Rider, his personality is constantly challenged by the spirit of Eli Morrow, a serial killer and Robbie's uncle, to make decisions he wouldn't normally make. Since becoming the Ghost Rider, Robbie has been willing to and has committed brutal murder - but only against people who have become serial killers, rapists, monsters, and demonically inclined.

While this keeps Robbie's intentions ultimately pure, his methods are morally questionable. He tolerates Eli's presence to have the power to ensure not one soul harms Gabriel and he can live in a safe place. Sometimes, it involves keeping the streets clean of coke dealers and psychopathic killers. Other times it involves keeping the world safe.

Abilities

Chain Manipulation:
While transformed, Robbie can manifest chains out of his body through his chest, hands, or mouth. These chains are made of some seriously strong materials, able to rip a god's arm out of place when used in conjunction with Robbie's incredible strength. While often used for restraint and to hold down his enemies, the chains may heat up to setting temperatures and slice through solid objects like rocks and steel.

Fire Manipulation:
Robbie is able to control fire a myriad of ways! He can make pillars of flames appear, drown entire buildings in fire, and breath fire out of his jaws. Additionally, Robbie is able to command the infernal flame known as Hellfire: a fire that burns the soul as much as the physical. Robbie's Hellfire is a bit more amped than normal Ghost Riders, able to punch holes in buildings with a well-placed fireball.

Ghost Rider:
Unlike known Ghost Riders like Johnny Blaze or Daniel Ketch, Robbie Reyes is not actually a Ghost Rider in the true sense of the title. Unlike most Ghost Riders, Robbie is not possessed by a Spirit of Vengeance. Instead, his soul has been infused with the soul of the satanic human spirit of Eli Morrow, Robbie's uncle. Robbie is constantly under the pressure and addictive need to extinguish life, a need that is only held back by Robbie's moral character and strong will. Robbie has still found a way to do good, but the unique instance of his abilities has converted him into a 'faux' Ghost Rider, or an All-New Ghost Rider. Thus, Robbie has developed powers similar to a real Ghost Rider but some very different ones that are unique to him as well.

Penance Stare:
Despite not being a real Ghost Rider, Robbie is able to perform the Penance Stare, what some might call the ultimate ability of the Ghost Riders. By using the Penance Stare, or causing a person to look into his eyes, he can make a person feel all the pain and suffering they have caused upon others. He is able to use the Penance Stare off of reflections like with car hoods. The Ghost Rider is able to use the Penance Stare on multiple people simultaneously.

The Penance Stare does not work on innocent people or those who feel absolutely no regret or remorse for their actions.

Regeneration:
While Robbie doesn't possess any regenerative capabilities himself, the Ghost Rider possesses extreme properties for regeneration. All wounds Robbie suffers in human form is immediately healed during and post transformation into the Ghost Rider. His recovery is so powerful that he can regrow damaged arms in seconds after they were battered to pieces and mend a hole blown through his torso.

Super Durability:
Highly resistant to injury, it is incredibly difficult if not impossible to injure the Ghost Rider through mundane physical means. The Rider is largely resistant to physical damage and is capable of withstanding great impact forces, piercing, stabbing, explosions, energy attacks, you name it he can take it. However, he can still feel pain and though he is incredibly resilient to physical trauma, he is not resistant to the effects of magic. Additionally, Ghost Rider can be defeated by physical means such as repeated impact forces. He has survived the Hulk's blows for a period of time.

Super Strength:
Ghost Rider is /strong/. Stronger than it has any reasonable right to be. While his strength currently has experienced no known upper limit, the Ghost Rider gestalt grants Robbie an incredible degree of physical strength. Normally he can lift up to 30 tons. If Eli takes command, the hidden strength of the Rider is unlocked and he can lift up to 100 tons.

Vehicle Hellification:

Upon contact with vehicles other than the Hellcharger, Robbie is able to convert that vehicle to have the same properties of the Hellcharger. As long as it can be piloted or driven, it can be converted (see Hellcharger advantage).

Skills

Bilingual:
Robbie can speak English and Spanish fluently.

Close Combat:
Robbie has never been trained in combat a day in his life. Everything he knows is from the school of hard knocks. Though he's never been given proper training, Robbie is a formidable hand-to-hand combatant that is able to use his powers in conjunction with what amounts to fighting dirty. Robbie pales in comparison to the great fighters of the world, but he is a skilled brawler.

Driving:
Robbie is an excellent driver. He participated in multiple street races and evaded police on multiple occasions even before becoming the Ghost Rider. He's fast, he's furious, and he's dangerous on the road.

Mechanic:
Robbie can put together, modify, and flat out invent new cars from scrap metal. He works at an auto and body shop where he repairs cars for a living. Robbie is a good mechanic and routinely does updates on the Hellcharger.

Strong Will:

Robbie is a selfless individual who possesses an incredibly strong willpower. Robbie never gives up and he is a stalwart opponent and fortress against temptation and evil. He has been repeatedly able to resist the powerful temptations of Eli Morrow and restrain his powers while in his form as the Ghost Rider.

Resources

Hellcharger:
The car. The Hellcharger is a heavily modified 1969 Dodge Charger. It originally housed Eli Morrow's spirit before it bonded with Robbie's soul. More than that, the car is somewhat bonded to Robbie himself, making it a unique tool that bestows unique capabilities to the Ghost Rider.

Intangibility: The Ghost Rider can phase through the car and other objects or places. It requires no vibrating of molecules or magic spell, just a conscious command. He can only do this with the Hellcharger.

Portal to Hell: In the trunk, there's a portable gateway straight to hell. At Robbie's command, the trunk can emit multiple tentacles that belong to some horrid, horrid creatures in the underworld who can use the tentacles to encoil and drag enemies to hell to save Robbie the trouble of tossing them in.

Healing: When the Hellcharger becomes damaged, it's own mystical energies immediately begin repair any damage caused to it. It's unknown if the Hellcharger can be permanently destroyed.

Matter Surfing: The Hellcharger has no concept of gravity. It can drive across water or up the sides of buildings with no issues. It has even been able to sail through the void of space and in deep water.

Teleportation: Robbie is able to use the Hellcharger as a hub to teleport across various distances. Similar to plugging in GPS to the car, Robbie can use his car to transport vast distances without hitting the gas pedal.

Job:

Robbie works as a mechanic at Canelo's Auto and Body. The pay is good, enough to afford living conditions for himself and pay for Gabe's education.

Weaknesses

Eli Morrow:
Robbie is not the only person in control. Eli Morrow is a wicked man who seeks to satisfy his urges to kill. While Robbie has been able to placate Eli by killing only the worst of humanity, Eli can still attempt to take over Robbie while in the Ghost Rider gestalt. Furthermore, Eli will often try and tempt Robbie to perform acts he wouldn't normally consider.

Gabriel:
Gabriel Reyes is Robbie's younger brother. Robbie is Gabe's caretaker, guardian, and best friend. Robbie would give up the world and everything in it to keep Gabriel safe. If Gabriel were ever threatened or captured, Robbie could very easily be manipulated into serving false causes. He would do anything for Gabe, even move heaven and earth.

Heavenly Weapons:
Weapons made in heaven can harm the Ghost Rider. In fact, they may be the only weapons in existence capable of killing the Ghost Rider. Heavenly weapons can mutilate a Ghost Rider and extensively restrict the Rider's ability to heal.

Magic:
While the Ghost Rider is largely composed of infernal magic and dark secrets, the Ghost Rider gestalt possesses no inherent defenses against magic. It can bypass his physical invulnerability. He has resistance to dark or hellish magic, but magic itself is by far the most common and effective threat.

Penance Stare:
Robbie's greatest weapon is also his greatest weakness. While the soul of Robbie is innocent and can be considered as such, the spirit of Eli Morrow is corrupt and filthy. Any use of the Penance Stare on Robbie will directly effect Eli Morrow and since the pair are bonded by the soul, it would effect Robbie as well and leave both comatose.

Rage Flaws:

While Robbie can draw power from his rage and drastically increase his capabilities, if he's enraged for too long or draws too much power into himself, his body can begin to experience severe medical drawbacks, up to and including comatose and death.
