Description:

Jeans and leather, the most practical clothing, are what Lucas prefer to wear. By the look of it, Lucas doesn't care much about fashion, and is content with a pair of faded jeans, a plaid shirt, a lather jacket that has seen better days, and working steel-boots. This teenager is fairly well built, at 6'2", though on the slim side. The brown hair frame a well proportioned figure, highlighted by light grey eyes that carry the shadow of sadness.

History

History:

If asked about his origins, Lucas Farmer could not answer. His very name, Farmer, is actually the last name given to all the mutant kids held at the Farm from which he escaped.

At the Farm, strange cultist brought very young mutants to raise them until they exhibited their mutant abilities, at which point they were sold to underground laboratories to be experimented on.

Luckily enough, Lucas escaped such a bleak fate. For a time, he survived by himself in the wilderness, unaware of the world around. Then he moved on, finding isolated towns where he survived by stealing what he needed. Moving from town to town in the desolated areas, he never moved very far away from the Farm, worried about his friends still held there. Crafty and resilient, even in the wilderness, life was better than at the Farm. And then, he met other mutants, very powerful ones indeed, and was brought to the Xavier's School, where a new - and strange - life awaited him.

Personality

Personality:

Being raised among mutants with no contact with baseline humans other than some guards, Lucas is quite wary of humans. They are the ones who created the Farm, so he has no trust at all in them. Escaped from the Farm, the whole environment seems strange to him. Eating whatever you want and whenever you want is new to him, so is freedom in general.

While Lucas appreciates what 2029 offers him, he is still missing the Farm, where although being ill-treated, he has many friends. Torn between freedom and captivity - maybe it is Stockholm syndrome -, this causes him mood-swings. These mood-swings aren't good for him, for his newly found telekinesis ability tends to fluctuate according to his level of well-being, becoming chaotic and downright dangerous as anger or frustration builds on.

Lucas doesn't show outward hostility, keeping to himself, unsure of whom he can trust. While his stature might be above average, and could help him in a brawl, the young man prefers to avoid any physical fight, being of a generally calm and peaceful nature.

Abilities

Telekinesis:

Telekinesis=Lucas can move objects and beings from a distance, voluntarily and on purpose. Depending of the distance, the weight of the object or person will render the process more difficult. During times of anger, frustration or other high emotional states, his telekinetic powers can act randomly, in a poltergeist like manner, with unexpected range and weight capability. In a normal state, he can move objects as long as they are in his line of sight, and is limited to a radius of about 50 feet from him. At that distance, the weight of the object would have to be light, less than 10 pounds. The closest the object is to him, the weight lift increases: standing by a car, he could lift it up in the air and throw it away. With more training and practice, he might be able to increase both range and weight capability, as well as emotional outburst side-effects. At this point, all Lucas knows about telekinesis is that it can be used to retrieve or throw objects from a limited distance.

Skills

Pickpocket:
Using his telekinetic powers, Lucas can easily steal from people, which he did while a resident of the infamous Farm. The target has to be visible for him to steal it, since he cannot move objects without seeing it first. So while he can't steal hidden money from a closed metal box, he can open the box from a distance to then see what is inside. Using some mean of distraction as necessary, he can easily steal from individuals without them noticing, an art he quickly developed - at the Farm and in the local towns he encountered on his way - in order to survive.

Survival:

Lucas can craft all kinds of scrap and pieces into basic survival tools or implements, such as a temporary shelter, a knife or a shovel - nothing more technological than wiring batteries to fix a flashlight. This skill is born out of both imagination and needs, at the time when he had to manage with whatever he could find around either at the Farm or while surviving by himself. The rough life at the Farm and his time roaming around it in the wilderness in between local towns rendered him quite apt at surviving harsh conditions: cozy houses he doesn't know.

Resources

Thievery:

Lucas uses his telekinetic powers to steal what he needs in order to survive, would it be money, food or clothes. This skill, quite useful at the Farm from which is escaped, proves quite useful in the Big City.

Weaknesses

Limited Education:
Young mutants raised at the Farm did not receive proper education and Lucas is no exception. Nonetheless, some basic education was passed among the farmers, and he knows how to write, read and do calculations. While he is quite intelligent, there are things that he still needs to learn, such as driving or even using a bicycle. With time and extra hours studying, Lucas will bridge the educational gap.

Uncontrollability:

Having just recently discovered his telekinetic powers, Lucas has a limited control over them. Especially during periods of high emotional stress, his powers can become uncontrollable. To stop him would require quickly calming him down, or knocking him out. In calm and unstressed times, Lucas can move objects as long as they are in his line of sight, and is limited to a radius of about 50 feet from him. At that distance, the weight of the object would have to be light, less than 10 pounds. The closest the object is to him, the weight lift increases: standing by a car, he could lift it up in the air and throw it away.
