Barbara 'Bobbi' Morse embodies everything that a successful SHIELD agent ought to be, numerous years of distinguished service in the most dangerous areas of the world, a selfless desire to help others and just barely enough modesty to keep her ego in check. A doctorate holder in biology and a self-proclaimed lover of science, her analytical and scholarly knowledge is matched only by her expertise in spy-craft and martial ability.

The life isn't easy, and at times she seems distant and detached from others, her quick use of snark or sarcasm signaling to some embitterment with the world. Yet, her ability and calm under fire cannot be questioned, and the world owes at least a few averted crises to thank her for. Not that the life of a SHIELD agent would ever allow her to accept those thanks!

Description:

A younger looking blonde woman with a toned, athletic body, Bobbi seems closer to a gymnast in form than either a scientist OR SHIELD operative. She stands at a decently impressive five foot nine and just over one hundred and thirty five pounds, only further building on her slight and willowy build over muscle bound brawniness. She has defined features, with a small nose filling out an elegant face that ends in a rather strong chin that compliments the smarmy smirk that her lips are nearly always pulled into when she turns her attention on others. Her face is framed by long corn silk blonde hair, the length falling to the middle of her back at its longest and the bangs swept away from her forehead. In most cases she wears her hair down and loose, letting it hang free, though she has never shied away from up doing it if the need arises. The blonde tresses are particularly catching in contrast to her deep blue eyes and the slight sun-kissed tan of her rather pale skin, giving her a sort of airy look of elegance betrayed only by the spark of confidence in her eye.

She wears a one piece black and white tactical suit, made of some sort of future nano-weave which is sewn into hardly perceptible hexagons along its length. The suit is rounded out by a heavy belt and hip holster to secure gear or weapons, or whatever is needed by a SHIELD agent at any one point, and naturally the belt is finished off with a silver buckle stylized into an 'M'. And one would be remiss to not mention the snappy sports sunglasses she wears on operations, the frames a sterling white and lens a bright orange. One can only guess at what sort of technology is packed into them, it can't just be style alone!

History:
Born and raised in San Diego, California, Bobbi has always been an exceptionally intelligent and talented girl. Even from a young age. Her life as a child was pretty normal. Her family, while not rich, certainly never hurt for money. She attended some of the best schools throughout her years. Her social life was pretty regular as well. She had friends that she would hang out with, she dated and more than once got herself in trouble by trusting the wrong person. A pretty typical life really. Eventually, however, everyone has to grow up. For Bobbi, that happened near the end of high school when she suddenly realized life was very 'real' and she was unprepared for what came after school when she'd need to be on her own. And so, she got serious and decided on a direction.

After high school, Bobbi moved out on her own and attended the Georgia Institute of Technology where she specialized in Biology. Years and years were dedicated to the pursuit of this. To being the very best in her field. She graduated at the top of her class and with honors, earning her Ph.D. Not long after this, she was recruited by SHIELD, becoming Agent 19, and assigned to work on Project: Gladiator with Dr. Wilma Calvin. A project that was researching and attempting to recreate the Super Soldier Serum.

During her time on the prject, she had been ordered to get close to and start a relationship with Dr. Paul Allen. Over the course of this period in her life, it was discovered that two of the members on that Gladiator team were working for A.I.M where upon they sabotaged the project and transformed Dr. Ted Sallis into Man-Thing. Afterwards, she was sent on her first field mission. She and Dr. Allen travelled to the Savage Lands to find Ka-Zar but their plan crashed and while Paul was rescued by the very person they sought, Bobbi was rescued by British of New Britannia. The fallout from this was that her relationship with Paul being a sham and done on SHIELD's orders because they thought he was working with A.I.M., was revealed. In the end, with the help of Ka-Zar, after Paul's death at the hands of Man-Thing, Bobbi defeated a man called Victorious who had taken a sample of the serum. Afterwards, Ka-Zar and his companion returned to the Savage Lands and while Bobbi would help him from time to time when needed, she stayed in the States.

The next few years were spent training rigorously in a myriad of different subjects before Bobbi took her first 'break' from SHIELD and became a freelance agent. It was during this time in her life that she met Clint Barton. On a mission together to lure Captain America from retirement, she takes the name Morgan for a brief time but didn't keep it. The casual acquaintance that started between her and Clint then would become a pivotal moment in Bobbi's life. Later, she was recruited to investigate a suspected corruption within a Latin American branch of SHIELD by a U.S. Senator which led to her seeming to drop out completely and take the name Huntress. However, once the mission was done and the threat neutralized, she returned to her life and duties as a SHIELD agent.

Over the years as her skills grew in multiple areas and her work with SHIELD continued, she'd rise through the ranks. Her relationship with Clint also bloomed and it was throughout these years that her reputation for being mouthy and taunting her enemies earned her the codename Mockingbird. It wasn't long after a mission where Clint and Bobbi were both kidnapped a villain known as Crossfire, which led to the loss of Clint's hearing, that the pair decided to elope. When they returned to join the Avengers, it was as a couple. Upon their return, Vision who was heading the Avengers at the time, assigned Clint to head the West Coast team and Bobbi, naturally, went with him.

History2:

The next few years would be especially hard for Bobbi, testing her resolve and her will as well as her emotional stability and all the training she had endured. Thanks to a man calling himself Kang the Conqueror, the West Coast Avengers were scattered throughout time. This would prove to be one of the hardest times for Bobbi as she was brainwashed and made to fall in love with Phantom Rider after being given an Indian love potion. It was only due to the potion wearing off over time and the determination of two teammate called Two-Gun and Rawhide that Bobbi was rescued. It came at a steep price though. Now free of the potion, Bobbi realized that she had been violated in the worst of way and went back to kill Phantom Rider. Two-Gun, while not agreeing with her choice, understood it was her fight and wouldn't follow nor allow Rawhide. The confrontation between Mockingbird and Phantom Rider took place on a mountain in the rain and while Bobbi didn't personally kill him, she let him fall from the side of the mountain he clung to after their fight.

When Clint managed to return everyone to the present, he learned of what Bobbi had allowed to happen from the spirit of Phantom Rider. While there was some justice to what happened, it broke the Avengers code of 'no killing'. While Clint would later learn the true circumstances of what happened, it was too late. The rift was there and subsequently led to their split and divorce. It wasn't something Bobbi took well.

After enduring a haunting from Phantom Rider's spirit and getting help in getting rid of him, Bobbi was coerced into setting into motion a plan to abduct and dismantle Vision due to him going rogue. Initially, she believed it was a contingency plan but it was, in fact, quit the opposite. When she tried to stop the plot, she was imprisoned. By the time she got out and was able to warn the Avengers, it was too late. Afterwards, she and Clint went to separate teams of Avengers. While she stayed with the West Coast team for a while, it didn't last long.

Just recently, she has returned to the East Coast and rejoined the team there. It won't be an easy road, certainly, but she's never been one to back down from a challenge.

Personality:

Bobbi can be summed up in a single word. Balanced. While she is a very determined, smart, strong willed and professional young woman, she also knows how to relax and have fun. She's a bit mouthy at times too which isn't always a good thing. While she can seem exceptionally, almost boringly, responsible and distant at times, she's keenly aware of her emotions and the emotions of those around her. As an Agent, she's all business but once off duty, she's pretty laid back.

Awareness:
Bobbi has taught herself to be very very aware of the people around her and has gone to great lengths to be able to read people to such a degree that it almost seems supernatural. She can pick up on almost any little twitch or tell.

Controlled:
Over the years, Bobbi has learned to very tightly and carefully control her emotions, features and voice. She gives almost nothing away unless she wants to.

Highly Intelligent:
Between an amazing education and her own, natural high intellect, Bobbi is an exceptionally intelligent woman. Granted, it rarely shows but that is a personal choice as she finds allowing people to underestimate her to her advantage.

Pain Tolerance:
It's taken quite of bit of determination, willpower and training but Bobbi has gained the ability to almost 'turn off' feeling pain when she wants to. Extreme amounts of it still register and can drop her though.

Quick Learner:
bobbi is an amazingly quick learner, able to memorize information and process it within the first or second read of it, the first time having it explained and figuring it out on her own.

Street Smarts:
Over the years, Bobbi has learned how to survive on the streets if necessary and more than once, this ability has come in handy on various missions. She can blend into the crowd, fight, talk and behave all as if she's spent her entire life on the streets.

Strong Willed:

You don't get where Bobbi is in life without being exceptionally determined and having a very strong will. It takes a lot to do what this woman does and most wouldn't be able to handle it, however, Bobbi seems to thrive in the environment. It takes a lot to break this woman or push her into doing something she doesn't want and she's accustomed to getting her way. One way or another.

Bobbi is an Olympic class athlete, gymnast, acrobat and aerialist capable of numerous complex maneuvers and feats.

Biochemistry:
Biochemistry is defined as 'chemistry that deals with the chemical compounds and processes occurring in organisms' or 'the chemical characteristics and reactions of a particular living organism or biological substance'. Bobbi has gotten her Ph.D. in this field and continues to study and stay on top of the latest developments. Not only does she put these skills to use within SHIELD but they're also what originally got SHIELD's attention on her as she's one of the best there is.

Cooking:
It's on of Bobbi's more 'hidden' talents. A hobby that she has taken classes on to 'perfect'. She's a very talented chef and could, if she ever decided to switch careers, make it as a chef in a top restaurant.

Espionage:
Mockingbird is a dangerous agent trained in espionage, stealth, disguise, infiltration, and demolitions. She displays an affinity for psychological manipulation and can mask her real emotions perfectly. Her talents and years of experience have enabled her to reach a high rank as an agent of SHIELD.

Martial Artist:
Bobbi is an expert in the field of martial arts. She is proficient in Karate, Kick-boxing, Judo, Aikido, Boxing, Tae Kwon Do and multiple styles of Kung Fu. She's exceptionally dangerous when fighting in close quarters as well.

Multilingual:
Bobbi is able to read lips somewhat but is also fluent in ASL, Spanish, Arabic, Russian and French.

Organized:
Bobbi is a very structured and highly organized young woman. Everything has a place and she likes it that way. It makes things easy for her to access without much effort. The sense of organization and cleanliness applies to both her personal and professional life and she gets somewhat bent out of shape when things are, what she deems as, messy.

Weaponry:

Mockingbird is an extremely accurate marksman skilled in sharpshooting and knife throwing, the breaking down and cleaning of various weapons, recognizing and assessing various ammunitions and guns based on impact patterns and is skilled in several non-lethal weapons as well.

Battle Staves:
These hollow, steel-alloy staves or 'batons' can extend up to four feet a piece and each has a taster on the ends. Alternatively, the can be combined to be used as a bo-staff or javelin and extended into an eight foot vaulting pole if need be.

Contacts:
Throughout her life, Mockingbird has made a fair number of contacts, casual and business alike, that she can reach out to in various situations.

Glasses:
The glasses that Bobbi has to correct her vision are worn only when she deems them necessary and only for the night vision that they have integrated into them. Normally, she prefers her contact lenses.

Shield:
Being a high clearance level Agent with SHIELD has its perks, certainly! Not only is there access to wonderful vehicles like the Quinjet but she's also able to use all the newest tech, weapons and 'toys' that they come with! Oh yeah, and there's the intel abilities to. Never hurts to have all that information at your fingertips.

Wealth:

Bobbi has done a long of work both with SHIELD and without them over the years and being the level of Agent she is, she's paid well. Of course, since she doesn't really spend much in th way of money that often, she's amassed a rather substantial savings at her disposal should she need it. She could easily drop several thousand dollars and not even blink about it.

Attitude:
Bobbi may be able to tightly control her emotions when out in the field but at base or 'off-duty' she never bothers and the truth is, she's a sassy, pointed and mouthy woman who isn't afraid to show people her attitude. Unfortunately, that can get her in a bit of trouble at times given that she rarely cares who she's mouthing off too.

Enemies:
It shouldn't come as any surprise that Bobbi's work as a SHIELD Agent, as well as what she did during her time away, she has made more than a few enemies in many regions and they don't tend to give her a break for long.

Ex-Husband:
She may not, yet, readily admit it but her ex-husband is a weak spot for Bobbi. They split but she can't truthfully say she wouldn't still do anything... go to any length... for him if he needed help. It makes him a good way to manipulate her.

Farsighted:
Without her glasses or contacts, Bobbi cannot see things that are too close.
