News Files: Buffy and Angel
Sunnydale is a community in Avalon, Blüdhaven, New Jersey. There is a Hellmouth there, though it is not the only one in existence. There is another in Cleveland, Ohio. The Hellmouth and its resulting energies have seen Blüdhaven garner the attention of the supernatural, leading to it its high population of demons, vampires, werewolves, witches, and wizards. Captain Britain, Danny the Street, Doctor Fate, Dracula, the cast of Teen Wolf, and Zatanna Zatarra are residents.
Buffy and Dawn Summers are cousins of Scott (Cyclops) and Alex Summers (Havok) of the X-Men. Hank Summers, Buffy and Dawn's father, is the brother to Major Christopher Summers (Corsair).
Daniel "Oz" Osborn, spelt "Osborn" in this world rather than "Osbourne" as in the scripts, grew up alongside his "adoptive" siblings, Sarah and Gabriel Osborn. They are in fact his cousins, the son and daughter of Norman Osborn and his mistress. Norman paid off his mistress and Daniel's family to maintain the fiction and save his marriage.
Angel (Liam O'Connell) has established a detective agency, Angel Investigations, which is based out of the Hyperion Hotel in Los Altos, Empire Bay, Empire City, New Jersey. It is very similar to the show as depicted in series two through four, with the law firm of Wolfram and Hart being their main antagonist. Wolfram and Hart have offices throughout the United States, as well as select international branches. They are concerned with prophecies that include Angel (the "vampire with a soul"), Deadpool (the "Guardian of Humanity"), and others.
The Watchers Council (Buffy), Watchers (Highlander), and Men of Letters (Supernatural), were combined as the Watchers Council or simply Watchers, and provide support for select hunters, watching over and training the Slayer, and recording the deeds of Immortals. They use administrative, financial, journalistic, and governmental resources to cover up supernatural incidents. Blüdhaven, for example, is known to the C.D.C. (Centre for Disease Control) as an area of risk of S.N.R. or spontaneous neck rupture.
The members of the Scoobies and Angel Investigations are appable as either FCs or AFCs, depending on teh character. OCs from this theme are appable, but must role-play their way into group membership. Big Bads are appable as VFCs, with the exception of the First Evil, which is a TPC character.
While there is no specific cut off for either source, in a general sense, Angel is set somewhere between series 2 and 4, while Buffy is between 4 and 6.
The Sunnydale Razorbacks have a longstanding rivalry with the Beacon Hills Cyclones (Teen Wolf).
