Quote
"Life endures. It adjusts and grows stronger. The weeds you try to kill become super-weeds, immune to your poison. And so you increase your toxins and poison the world in a cycle of madness. I call it forth, the power of the plants, even from the terminator seeds that should not grow. I am the guardian of the Green. I am Poison Ivy."

Description:

Poison Ivy is a beauty, with long flowing red hair, pale white skin, and a build with curves in all the right places. She has a general way about her, predatory and seductive, with little strands of ivy clinging to her body, and twining into her hair.

She is currently wearing a black bodysuit that fits her perfectly, clinging to every curve like a second skin, with bands of green across her thighs and midsection from chest to groin that are reminiscent of green leaves.

History

History:

Pamela Isley was born in Seattle Washington, afflicted with a skin condition that limited her ability to be exposed to sunlight without applying special lotions and taking extra care. She also grew up in an atmosphere of abuse, not to herself, but to her mother, her father had a penchant of beating her. It was this cycle of abuse that showed Pamela the manipulative effects of flowers, her father bringing them to her mother, which always won her forgiveness, and the flowers used to create quite the garden over time. One day, her father murdered her mother, burying her in that very garden before being arrested.

Some time later, Pamela Isley found herself in a graduate program, working on a research program developing designer drugs that utilized various pheromone treatments, taking several of these herself. When the university found out about these illegal trials, and the questionable nature of the research they had her expelled and charged criminally. This incarceration would have been disastrous, had she not used her pheromone pills to influence the Dean, who saw that the charges were dropped, and she later graduated Summa Cum Laude. After the graduation ceremony, Pamela went to visit her father in prison for the first time, concluding the visit with a kiss that would prove fatal, a toxin of her own design that would prove untraceable the weapon of murder.

The very Dean she had manipulated proved to have connections of his own, which proved beneficial to Pamela, securing her an internship at a Wayne Enterprises R&D site following a merger with Kane Chemical. Her official job was in designing pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, but her research into more exotic and questionable projects continued as a side project. She would take a bold step to push her ideas onto Bruce Wayne, using her new and improved pheromones research to gain a meeting with Mr. Wayne, pitching the power of these pheromones to boost business and replace advertising. Mr. Wayne naturally was opposed to the idea, and terminated her immediately, going as far to declare her research property of Wayne Enterprises. Enraged, Pamela stormed back to her lab, past security to retrieve her research materials. In an ensuing scuffle, there was an accident, her chemicals and experiments spilled all over her, transforming her in ways she would only come to know later when she adopted the alias of Poison Ivy.

Her powers gave her many abilities, a connection to the green, an ability to generate toxins, and an immunity to those very toxins, amongst other things. In her fragile state, she decided she needed to use these abilities to protect the plants she so loved, adopting the identity of Poison Ivy, and turning her powers against those that would attack mother earth, a creature of vengeance for the attacks against the green, in her mind.

But setting up shop in Gotham basically made an impacable foe in Batman. Who foiled her schemes over and over again. After several abbreviated stays in Arkham Asylum, and many defeats... she is going to try a different path.

Personality

Personality:

Ivy cares a lot about plants. Sometimes more than people. She is flirty and seductive, because she doesn't really value human lives that much and sees no harm in controlling them. With one exception. Batman. She has a fascination bordering on obsession with him - and hatred as well. For he always seems to defeat her. She wants him, but wants him to LEAVE HER ALONE.

So... if you can't beat them, join them. She is on the verge of giving up her eco-terrorist ways. Just... so she doesn't always feel like a loser. Trying to go legitimate. Making a business. Being a model citizen. And maybe... the Batman will respect her one day.

Abilities

Chlorokinesis:
Poison Ivy has gained a semi mystical connection to the force that is called the Green, connecting her to all plant life and giving her the ability to manipulate and animate all forms of plant life in sometimes drastic ways. She can use root structures to burrow and support tunnels for her, she can cause drastic growth of plant life, at the extremes she could even tear down an entire skyscraper with enough plant. She can also create strange plant creatures, carnivorous plants, or to go from seed to giant tree in minutes. Or strange hybrids. She can also use vines and roots as snares or weapons, including several she has on her person. Most of all, any plant, anywhere near her, can be weaponized.

Domination:
Ivy's ability to generate chemicals can do more than create chemicals that hurt or harm. The chemicals she generates in her body can also create mind-altering chemicals that can cause obedience, addiction, or in certain cases lust or love, delivered with a touch, or optimally with a kiss. She can also generate pheromones that can affect people nearby, in a lower-power but wider-range effect.

(OOC: This ability is consent-based.)

Genetics:
Ivy minored in genetics, and knows much about the subject of human and plant DNA. She has even experimented with combining plant and human DNA together, with the help of some human friends she was even able to create children her sporlings who are a blend of plant and human like her.

Plant Avatar:
Ivy can create an avatar version of herself from plant life. For all intents and purposes this is a duplicate of Ivy which has all of her abilities, but is grown from the plants that exist in a location. Whilst channeling a plant avatar, Ivy cannot use her own body, and she is completely immobile. She can create an Avatar up to a thousand feet away and can maintain it up to a mile away from herself. Any damage to her real body can cause the entire thing to collapse.

Talking To Plants:
Being connected intimately to the Green, the elemental plane of all plant life, Ivy can communicate with plants in her vicinity, up to half a mile away. She can learn about them, talk to them, reassure them. Close plants she can even channel her awareness through them, even using them as distant 'spies'.

But this has a downside. She can also hear their screams of pain as they are getting hurt. Feel them. It is one of the main ways to enrage Ivy - by hurting her precious 'friends'.

Toxikinesis:
As a result of the overdose she received in the lab accident, Ivy has developed the ability to make her very touch deadly due to an secretion of poisons. She can create the most potently powerful floral toxins, often administered as a kiss, and in a number of varieties from instantly fatal, paralyzing, to rejuvenating. Just touching her skin can expose someone to the toxins, rarely fatal with incidental contact. She can also exhale spores that are capable of doing many of what her direct-touch poisons are, but at a lower intensity.

Unique_Physiology:

The lab accident that transformed her performed several changes. She is somewhat plantlike in that she has chlorophyll in her skin, making her green when using her powers full blast.

Like a plant, she inhales carbon dioxide and exhales oxygen. She is immune to all types of toxins, viruses, and bacteria. She also requires sunlight - like a plant she uses photosynthesis as a source of energy.

She also like a flower is constantly expelling pheromones though she's able to control what they do and their intensity at will, though her norm is to make her appear even more supernaturally attractive.

Skills

Athletics:
Poison Ivy has become quite an athletic woman, she is an extremely talented swimmer, able to swim fast and strong. She is also quite proficient at climbing, and has experience with the techniques required for leaping both length and height.

Botany:
A genius in the field of Botany, and a graduate with honors from the University of Washington. She had extensive experience with exotic plants, and the various structures and chemicals they produced, as well as the methods to grow and nurture these exotic flowers. Knowledge she puts to great (or ill) use as Poison Ivy.

Genetics:
Ivy minored in genetics, and knows much about the subject of human and plant DNA. She has even experimented with combining plant and human DNA together, but such research is in its early stages.

Hand-To-Hand Combat:
Poison Ivy has developed some basic skills at martial arts, she can defend herself from the average thug, but lacks the true expertise to combat a master of combat.

Seduction:
Ivy has always been an unrivaled beauty, and has used these skills only sparingly before her transformation. Since becoming Poison Ivy she has no qualms about flaunting her appearance, taunting captives with her beauty, and using her appearance to sway the hearts of thugs and minions into loyal service, even without the use of her pheromones.

Toxicology:

Within the field of Botany, Pamela specialized in Toxicology, the practical applications she applied these skills to was the production of perfumes, medicines, and make-up. She has since expanded on this, with the aid of her new abilities to cultivating strange hybrid plants with vicious thorns, and a variety of poisonous plant based traps. Recently, she is using these skills for their initial purposes of creating perfumes and medicines once more.

Resources

Influence:
A variety of men and women in a number of influential positions often fall under the sway of Poison Ivy's charms and pheromones, allowing her access to resources in the forms of gifts, information, and access. The sorts of individuals under her control vary, but she has very little difficulty acquiring new ones as her needs change.]

Isley Greenhouse:
After several defeats at the hands of the Batman, Ivy was tired of fighting. Tired of losing. Tired of breaking out of Arkham. So - she is trying something new. Going legitimate. She commandeered an abandoned greenhouse, restored it. Created a garden around it. Fortified it. And... just wants to be left alone. She is making an Internet company to sell healing draughts and love potions. And... to all appearances she is now being a perfectly legitimate businesswoman.

Plant Spies:
Living plants, everywhere, are Ivy's allies and friends. The Green connects her to all living plants. She can reach out to them... hear what they hear, see what they see. She can even project her voice through them. Any plant within a thousand feet can have this done, as long as they are living. (Cut flowers are not sufficiently alive to connect with.)

The Green:

Poison Ivy has a connection with The Green - the collective consciousness of all plants on the planet. She can speak with and understand all plants, and gains an immediate understanding of their preferences - in as much as your average plant has any such thing. No force can compel her to turn against her precious 'children'. She even can have an audience with the Parliament of Trees, the guiding force of the Green.

Weaknesses

Appearance:
Pamela is Stunning even without her pheromones and mind control powers she is quite possibly one of the most beaitful females on earth quite capable of enslaving men with just her looks alone, much like Helen of Troy from history. As a result, she rather hard to forget, when using her powers to full her skin also takes on a green hue.

Darkness:
Her plant-like nature has changed her physiology to a degree that she now requires sunlight to exist, and if she were to be deprived of solar energy for an extended period she would suffer from the effects of malnutrition, and then wither and die.

Herbicide:
Ivy's plant-like nature is vulnerable to herbicides. Consumer-grade herbicides can cause pain and irritation - the concentrated stuff could do massive damage to her system.

Plant Rage:
The screams of hurt plants gnaw at Ivy's mind and soul through the Green. Sufficient anguish transmitted to her can cause her to suffer irrational rage that could easily be mistaken as a mental disorder. To her, it's the equivalent of responding like a mama bear when her cub's hurt - or a mother to a crying baby. But it seems irrational to others.

Seasonal Disorder:
Ivy has a rare mental condition called 'Seasonal Affective Disorder', where her primary emotions are based on the season. She is manic in the spring, euphoric in the summer, apathetic in the autumn, and depressed in the winter. She can feel other things of course, but her emotional center is based on this.

The Batman:

Time and time again, any of Ivy's nefarious schemes were dismantled by Batman. Nothing lasted long but some lingering influence. Batman seems impervious to her poisons, and her dominations. And she is _quite_ tired of breaking out of Arkham Asylum. She is trying to come up with a new plan... that will mitigate this threat. If you can't beat them.........
