Standing at a mere six foot, perhaps a touch taller, this slender being is something straight out of a sci-fi novel. Larger than human coal black glistening eyes, two of them. His nose is all but non-existent, a smooth sweep of light purplish skin until a single nasal opening above his mouth. A fairly human looking mouth, filled with teeth like a human, though noticeably lacking incisors when he smiles. Which is often. But then it gets weird. His upper cranium actually sweeps back into a single thick tentacle about 2 feet long in place of hair, typically hanging down his back, or down one shoulder.

The rest of him looks human, or at least human shaped. Well muscled but slender, he is garbed in a deep blue bodysuit that hugs his form tightly. A single pure white linen looking sash wraps his waist, hanging nearly to his feet, which are also wrapped in the same linen looking cloth. His chest bears the symbol of the Blue Lantern Corp in black against the blue 'fabric'

His right hand, four fingers rather than five. His forefinger bears a glowing Blue ring made of some crystalline material, which bears the same symbol as on his chest.

History

Born thousands of light years from earth, in an older part of the Galaxy. On a planet named Astoria. His childhood and young adult life normal for a citizen of that world, he chose religion as his calling, his innate talents of ever-cheerfulness and ability to soothe others always in demand. But when it was discovered that the planets orbiting sun was dying, slowing starting the process of going Supernova... his world went mad. Looting, and violence erupted.. but Bro'Dee Walker, as he was known then.. led his wife and children, and several others of his church on a journey to a distant mountaintop.. seeking a prophecy of one who could save them.

Along the way, Walker witnessed his family die one by one as dangers along the journey became fiercer. Even still, Walker's hope never wavered, and when he reached the top of the mountain, finding it empty, he refused to give up hope, and realized he was the savior spoken of. Walker delivered a message of hope back to his people before Ganthet and Sayd of the Guardians appeared and granted him the first forged Blue Power Ring. With the hopes of an entire planet fueling him, Walker healed the sun, reversing it's chronological age by nearly 10 billion years, giving his fading world a new lease on life in the process.

Renamed as 'Saint' Walker for his actions and relentless hope in the face of destruction, Walker became the first Blue Lantern, and dedicated himself to healing the troubles of the galaxy wherever he might find them.

Walker strives to be all that is good in the universe. He is boundlessly patient, his hopes and wishes for the sentient beings around him are nothing but the highest. He is named Saint for a reason.

BLUE POWER RING
These rings use the Blue light of Hope, channeled through a Power Battery. The Blue energy of hope is an infallible connection to the universe. Hope is the most powerful of lights, and thus the universe speaks through it. A Blue Power ring's possibly one of the most powerful weapons in the known universe: it has the ability to affect and use fundamental forces of the known universe, including electromagnetic energies such as gravity, radiation, heat, light, and powerful blasts of concussive force. The ring can also create fields of force formed from the blue energy that was bound by the users' will. The limitations of such use are the skill, knowledge and imagination of the user.

  • Energy Blasts: The ring can be used to fire blasts of blue energy or create weapons such as projectiles of them. The power behind these blasts is limited by the hope in the ringbearers heart. From gentle shoves to blasts capable of engulfing out planets
  • Force Field: One of the most basic abilities the ring has, to generate hard light in various forms. A self contained body field is the most basic. Sustaining the ring bearer in the most hostile of environments, including deep space. This field can be extended to others rather easily, or even pushed out into spheres of forces for protection, domes, cubes.. anything that comes to mind really. These fields are sustained so long as the wielder holds they will. They can withstand abuse by the most powerful of super beings, and protect the most delicate of life.
  • Energy Constructs: As with all his powers, a Lanterns abilities are limited only by his imagination and creativity.. and of course the emotions in his/her heart. Blue Lanterns, like their cousins in Green, can generate contructs of hard light, for use as tools or in combat.
  • Phasing: The ring has the ability to vibrate it's wearer out of synch with this physical dimension to allow passing through solid objects. Not unlike how Speedsters do it. However most Lanterns are unaware of this ability and all do it cautiously as getting stuck inside something is usually fatal.
  • Holographic playback: The ring can generate scenes of anything the wearer has seen or experienced, with full sound and light. Doing this requires the wearers undivided attention though.
  • Energy Twin: The ring can generate an energy based clone of its wearer that can travel at far greater speeds than the physical lanterns. This twin can only be perceived by those with a power ring or by the Guardians themselves as colored phantom. Primarily used as a means of long range communication or scouting.. anything the twin experiences the ring wielder will know.
  • Energy Absorption: Not a common use of the ring, but it's crystalline structure can be used to hold energies other than emotional spectrum energy. Electricity in particular it can hold in great volumes. But this usually doesn't refill the ring, it can only discharge that same energy
  • Flight: The ring grants flight by allowing the user to negate gravity in his personal vicinity at will. In atmosphere, Lanterns have been known to fly solo around mach 10 or 12. Towing others, they usually half that.. carrying their passengers in a force bubble. In vacuum though, they can reach up to 80% of lightspeed.
  • Wormholes: Lanterns can use their powers to create wormholes, bending space and time to link two distance points, crossing the gap allows near instantaneous travel.
  • Supercomputer: There hasn't been a computer invented yet than can rival the power rings. With access to a database stretching back across eons, and with certain exceptions.. they have the entirety of the Guardians vast knowledge at their fingertips. In addition, the rings come with an expansive suite of detection tools, accessing every part of the electromagnetic spectrum to aid in detective work.
  • Light manipulation: Being that lanterns bend light in so many ways to serve their needs, most overlook the subtle uses. Changing the visible color of their light, generating holograms, or even bending light around themselves or other people. Of course invisibility doesn't disguise heat or scent or mental presence. Merely visual.

PLOT

  • Mind Alteration: The rings are capable of implanting false memories and erasing existing ones, the ethical debate of these non withstanding. In the case of Blue Lanterns, erasing memories is normally done when the memory is so horrific or traumatic that the being pleads to be rid of it.


HOPE AND WILL
The spectrums of Hope and Will are intertwined on a primal level. They augment each other, in a cycle that draws in power to dizzying heights. Blue light augments Green, making all of their abilities perform at exponentially higher levels. And likewise, proximity to a Green ring, augments Blue light, allowing feats much greater than a solo lantern.

POWER OF HOPE
By it's very nature, the emotion of Hope overrides the negative effects of certain other spectrums. The wielder of Blue Light cannot be twisted by lust or rage or greed by the other colors of the spectrum. Not unless they allow themselves to. True Hope is incorruptible.

Hope allows those who wield it to heal anything short of Death, capable of reversing the age of a dying sun by billions of years, making it young and vibrant again. Able to regenerate body parts lost years prior.

They can even heal the corruption of the other spectrum colors, cleansing the red flames of Rage, or the Orange light of Avarice, preventing the effects from claiming more.

EMPATHY
During his time as a priest of his people back on Astoria, Walker learned to pay attention to how those around him felt. A trained skill rather than an ability, he is no less proficient at it.

MARTIAL ARTS
Saint Walker has extensive training in a soft-style martial art from his homeworld as well as adding techniques from various other styles such as Earth's Baguazhang. Walker's fighting style is focused on avoiding and redirecting attacks and striking pressure points, which he uses to give him a chance to talk his opponent down, and if that fails immobilize them so they can't do harm to others.

MUSIC

Saint Walker is an able musician with an Astonian lyre which he uses to entertain himself and to help with his meditations.

BLUE POWER BATTERY
Walker possesses a Blue Power Battery allowing him to recharge his ring when he needs to. It's usually carried with him in a dimensional fold, and summoned by reciting his oath.

BLUE POWER RING
Forged by Ganthet and Sayd of the Guardians, the Blue Power Rings channel the Hope of the universe to power them. It's abilities are many and varied.

BROTHERS & SISTERS

Having spent the last decade travelling the Universe doing good works has made Saint Walker many friends including his fellow Blue Lanterns, Lanterns from the other Corps, as well as everyday people who's spent time with. While he would never impose on any of them directly, he can usually find shelter and simple assistance offered by those he's helped and more concrete support from his brother and sister Lanterns.

HOPE IS LOST
The Blue rings are entirely dependent on the ring bearers hope in their hearts. If they lose that hope, they lose the ring as well. It will abandon them and return to the central power battery.

POWER DRAIN
While the powers of a Power Ring are vast, their energy reserves are not limitless. When they run out of power, unless recharged.. they are little more than a pretty adornment for ones hand.

SELFLESS

Walker is selfless to a fault, gladly suffering so those around him don't need to. Not out of belief that he will recover.. but simply the overwhelming desire to prevent harm. He's going to get himself killed one of these days.
