Well, this is... a rather disgusting, slimy looking ghost. About two feet tall, this is a floating green bulbous spirit entity. He is mostly face, with two spindly arms and a trailing ghostly tail as a lower portion. He has no hair, but has large, roving reddish eyes on either side of a broad nose. His mouth is full of blunted off-color teeth and a very large tongue. He is fully transparent and reeks of moldy onion and rotten food. To call him 'cute' would be very kind indeed: he has a charm similar to a pug that has rolled in garbage.

History

The Sedgewick Hotel in New York was originally owned by Gozer worshippers. In one of their rituals in 1938, they attempted to summon a spirit of hunger and gluttony that would attack the city's food supply, causing havoc. They ended up summoning a semi-corporeal gluttony spirit, instead, who was mostly content to just eat whatever was on his floor, the 12th floor, of the hotel. He remained anchored to the hotel for a long time, until 1951 when someone forgot about the "no room service on 12" rule, and re-awakened the dormant haunt. Slimer became more present throughout the hotel, though he was never dangerous, but he disturbed many guests, as he was attracted to food. Finally in 2004 the hotel hired Ghostbusters to see about their little problem, and in removal of Slimer, also removed his anchor to the hotel. He would be in containment for a short time, until further events caused his release. He hung around the ghostbuster facility, and became something of a mascot. Later, he would help in research and also in containing or fighting other ghosts. His gluttony for attention was well fed in that experience, and he has learned and adapted to try to improve his relations with people further, actively seeking out more teams to 'join.'

Personality

Slimer is a generally upbeat and friendly creature that fluxes between extreme activity and laziness. As a manifestation of gluttony, he is a glutton for two major things: food and attention. As being helpful has created a good deal of positive attention (and often food), he will lean that way when he can, but being ignored can bring out some of the more negative ways he knows to draw attention. He has spent far too long being ignored, and doesn't respond well to it generally. Food is his other major passion: everything stops for a delicious sandwich or even terribly disgusting things. He prefers things with sweet or savory taste, but the drive to consume can include whatever he perceives as edible. His anger and pettiness can drive to minor, malicious acts, but he is generally harmless, as his scope of actions generally is pretty tame. He is more likely to tie shoelaces together and enjoy them falling down than he is to actively harm anyone. Acts of violence tend to be accidental, such as driving a car through pedestrians: he doesn't intend to hurt others usually. He is reasonably creative about new ideas but is easy to distract, unless food was the original goal. He can be surprisingly selfless if he feels the return on it is good, and can be fearless in an important mission (when he feels important).

ENERGY SIPHON
Energy can be pulled in two ways. First, simply by having a very powerful ghost nearby (such as Gozer), creates a lot of ambient energy that Slimer is sensitive to and can make use of: basically feeding off the general release of other powerful creatures. In addition, he is capable of deliberately pulling PK energy out of other spirits and phantoms, which requires very close proximity to do so, but he is able to use his gluttonous nature to eat energy from creatures similar in type to himself. He can't destroy them, but he can weaken them. This is a spirit-only ability and doesn't effect living creatures, only those with an ectoplasm or spiritual nature.

FOOD BIN
Slimer is able to eat and consume anything in a "food" category. Eating is not necessary for survival but grants improved energy and awareness. He can consume food endlessly, although the benefits to him are not endless by any means. Slimer just has no scope of ever being 'full'. He can't completely swallow something and expect to get it back, unless regurgitating within about a minute. Even dangerous items can be consumed in this way, but a bomb set to go off before 60 seconds will still go off.

INCORPOREAL
Slimer is a focused, non-terminal repeating phantasm: a class 5 full roaming vapor. He is made of pure Ectoplasm. This means he is a flying ghost with unknown "life" span. He can phase: to turn freely between being able to effect the world, or to be incorporeal. If he can effect the world, it can effect him, but he is immune to all physical damage, as he is a spirit. Being hit with a baseball bat while he is 'solid' will mash him into green goo, but he can reform. He can be set on fire. He may complain; it doesn't actually harm him, but will definitely delay or deter him, mostly due to not liking being contained or blocked. He is effected by all spirit and ghost items, such as magic or ghostbusting equipment that is made to effect ectoplasm, but does not follow demon rules such as crossing salt, as he is not malicious. He is able to selectively choose which parts of his body are manifested and which are not (such as reaching through a wall to tickle somebody), but can only phase things that are inside his body (swallowed). His flight speed can only reach about 80mph, but most of the time is a sort of standard 'cruise' speed of maybe 10-15mph. He can hover endlessly and does not need to rest or sleep, although he can sleep and dream if he wishes. He can be destroyed through exorcism means or dispersed temporarily. He does not have an ability to possess anyone (or anything, no poltergeist tv sets), but can hide inside objects/people and do actions as himself. He can manipulate his body as a gooey mass within minor limits of shapeshifting to stretch or squish, but is always apparent as a green or see-through ghost. He is able to turn invisibile (except to PKE meter readings), though holding the concentration to do it for much longer than a joke or brief spy opportunity isn't usually possible. Slimer doesn't show up on video monitor and can't use FaceTime for visual means, but can speak on a phone. He has no heat signature beyond what he's recently eaten having heat (or cold).

PSYCHIC RESISTANCE
Due to being made of ectoplasm and a 'dead' spirit, he doesn't actually have a functioning brain. He is a bundle of spiritual energy, which is a different matter of stuff than standard psychic powers can work with usually. Trying to grab him telekinetically or use mental mind-fry force will fail unless there is a spiritual component: he doesn't have enough physical presence to fry, he won't register as even being there. Basically the rule is, if the person is a medium or has a spirit-talking ability, then it's open game: otherwise, he doesn't really exist enough: he's not a living, thinking target.

SLIMES
Slime is an Ectoplasm residue that Slimer emits when he chooses. Being slimed has a very "funky" feel and sensation to it. It has the consistency of thick snot, and is a semi-sticky, glue-like substance that is difficult to remove without effort. Bleach is effective, but it does not launder well out of clothes or hair. Slimer's bright green version smells terrible, and causes intense gastrointestinal distress if consumed, causing extreme discomfort for many hours. It is usually just annoying or gross, but can be blinding or can cause people to trip or be unable to use objects, as it can make it impossible to use something like a phone. It usually appears when Slimer passes through objects (or people), 'sliming' them. It can be thrown as well (like a slime ball), vomited, or similar applications. Food fuels this ability, and being drained or tired restricts the slime production, as his grip on being solid isn't as good. He is quite able to drift through objects without sliming them; in high stress or speed situations the slime is automatic. However, even if he does his best to hide it, small traces of where he was (or is) can be picked up by instruments meant to detect it, such as the PKE meter.

COOKING
Flavor comes naturally to the gluttonous ghost, and he is a very talented and motivated chef. He can't stop himself from eating while he's cooking, but he can come up with some amazing spreads of food to share if he sees reason to do so.

DETECTIVE
Aspiring to be a ghostbuster has awakened some of Slimer's interests in being useful: in particular, being a good detective. He isn't very good yet, mind; this is a skill in training. He enjoys trying to solve puzzles, reporting things he has seen, or trying to work out a case. He usually sees many things and has some creative ideas on lifting fingerprints with his slime.

ESCAPE ARTIST
While yes, he can be trapped, Slimer is very good at sneaking out of said traps. Sure, it may take quite a while, but he has things to do, food to eat, and somehow untangles himself from most containments, much to the frustration of those that seek to contain him for long. He sometimes will allow himself to be captured if he needs to, as he's aware he's so good at this.

GHOSTBUSTING
Despite being a ghost himself, Slimer has awareness of much of what is required to bust other ghosts. He is decent with equipment and can learn, and has a general working knowledge of what must be done to trap and contain ghosts, more than most spirits do, due to contact with ghostbusters.

SUPERNATURAL LORE
Slimer has an innate sense and talent with spiritual supernaturals, but this is mostly a trained skill: he can tell which ones are powerful, smell the type of energy they use and make sense of it, and can track their movements even if they're invisible. He knows how to 'listen' to ghosts that others can't perceive. He can quickly pick out a spirit, demon or ghost in a room, and usually some information about them in a rough way at the least. He knows what places are haunted by investigating them, how many spirits are nearby, and so on, if he's paying attention. He may not know why they are bound to a place, but the general information is there for him fairly readily. Those that understand this can find good use in him as a spiritual bloodhound or as a gauge for when a place is getting spiritually dangerous.

GHOSTBUSTERS
This is a bit of a thin resource, but if needed, Slimer does have contacts within the Ghostbusters. Getting them to do anything may be another story, but there is an open line for help there.

GHOST CONTACTS
Slimer has a wealth of contacts with other ghosts and spirits, although he doesn't usually recognize this as useful. He has a natural gathering of information that he just remembers and knows about a lot of other spirits and creatures, and how to contact or get more information about or from them. He gets along well with beneficial ghosts and spirits and often has no trouble soliciting aid from nice ones he meets.
