A highly logical woman who seems to notice and consider everything that happens around her, the mysterious Tessa is officially the assistant of Sebastian Shaw, but serves more widely as a secretary for the Hellfire Club...specifically the Inner Circle, who she assists with decisions, calculations, and other important situations. Her mind works like a high-end computer and she possesses skillful telepathic abilities, and she possesses a trained skill with both firearms and in hand-to-hand combat, but at times, Tessa seems cold and emotionless, and no one knows where she came from. Just who is she, and how far will she go to cover her tracks?

Description:

A young woman with pale skin, apparently of Eastern European descent, Tessa has short black hair and blue eyes, with an athletic figure, leaning towards the tall but slim side. Her expression is usually neutral, eyes staring and moving as if they are watching every single thing going on simultaneously. Stance is proper and professional, and her movements are highly calculated, almost more robotic than human.

When working directly for the Hellfire Club, Tessa's outfit can only be described as...classical and a bit skimpy, with an emphasis on the heels and a black cloak over her shoulders. Otherwise, she's often seen in some sort of loose dress, or even a specially-tailored black suit.

When Tessa wears casual clothes, they lean towards the utilitarian - easy to wear shorts or jeans, easy to move in shirts, clothes that are far less professional than what she wears while working.

History

History:

The woman known as Tessa is shrouded in mystery. Legally recognized as 'Tessa Fox', 25, born in Albany, her family history is entirely mundane - only child, both parents dead in an accident when she turned 19, graduated from a public high school before being hired by Sebastian Shaw as his assistant at the age of 23. In actuality, Tessa is a psychic mutant with an incredibly calculative mind, and works for Shaw as a member of the Inner Circle of the Hellfire Club, serving as an assistant to the organization's plans. No one who has met her knows her true story, and she hasn't divulged it, but she has worked loyally for these past many years. Only time will tell if anyone finds out who the real Tessa is.

Personality:

Tessa is a cold, calculating 'machine' of a woman, one who most would think might not even have emotions with how readily she acts no matter how ruthless. Always professional in dialogue, though with a tendency to verboseness and dry wit, Tessa has no hesitations in manipulating others, and will do so when such is logically beneficial for her. In fact, that's how she decides most actions - logic and odds of benefitting her. Emotion weighs rarely into her day-to-day life, and instead she has a simple three-step rule: she assesses, she plans, and she acts. However, despite her apparent ruthlessness, Tessa shows loyalty to those she works for, constantly working to make things as efficient as possible for them, sometimes even before they ask for it.

While Tessa prefers not to directly get her hands dirty, she has no qualms with committing criminal acts, including murder if it she absolutely requires it (though it is not done lightly). Instead, she's a talker and an organizer, branching out, meeting new people, making 'friends' and putting them where she needs them in her giant web of a chess game she is playing. When outsmarted or if her logic has been incorrect or crumbles, Tessa is prone to frustration and anger, even if she tries to outwardly compose herself.

Tessa is a supporter of Latveria, though she doesn't disclose this publicly. She believes that Doctor Doom is the future of the country, and that he may be able to push the nation into greater heights, though she doesn't agree with all of his policies and actions (especially the more violent ones).

Despite not expressing her emotions too frequently, Tessa is not emotionless by any stretch of the means - she represses them so that they don't interfere with her other work. In truth, she possesses a fire inside of her that she bottles up, a rage that she won't let out. She also keeps her personal history locked down tightly, out of what would appear to most as shame.

As hobbies, Tessa reads, often reading several books a day (her preferred genre is action-adventure), and occasionally watches movies (same genre). Chess and other games of logic are also used as both a hobby and mental sparring for her, and she's started a liking of mobile video games, playing them when she has the free time.

Disorientation:
Tessa is capable of directing blasts of mental energy at someone, causing potentially painful disorientation that at its most potent can knock someone unconscious (if not off their feet).

Firewall:
An incredibly potent psychic defense, Tessa is capable of erecting a psionic 'firewall' over her mind, preventing all mental attacks, probes, and detection, while redirecting offensive mental manuevers back at the user. However, the firewall is two-way: Tessa cannot use her own psychic abilities while it is up, and cannot engage in any sort of mental communication.

Illusions:
Tessa is capable of creating powerful illusions that affect every sensation (but are incapable of causing true damage), and targeting them at anyone she chooses. This can range from the mundane to the impossible, and is often impossible to detect, though those who know or suspect an illusion may be capable of seeing through it.

Kinetic Mind:
Tessa possesses a mind that works like that of a supercomputer, but with unlimited storage and incredible speed. She is capable of performing several mental functions simultaneously without losing focus, recalling specific information with lightning speed and accuracy, and has a photographic memory that stores everything that she experiences without even a pause. Additionally, she is able to 'partition' her brain, allowing her to perform several separate tasks at the same time without any distraction, such as replaying a movie she's seen while playing a game of chess in her head while battling an opponent.

Due to these abilities, Tessa is capable of rapidly assessing her surroundings and making snap decisions, changing or creating complex battle plans on the fly, and piecing together gathered data in order to track the probability of events. Her kinetic mind can also be put into great conjunction with her psychic abilities, allowing her to use multiple simultaneously or focus on several targets at once.

Mind Control:
Tessa is capable of giving telepathic orders to others, forcing them to commit acts whether they may or may not normally, such as attacking a loved one or committing suicide. The more willful the target, the harder it is, and willful targets may be capable of shrugging off these orders (though may not necessarily be able to determine it was Tessa who gave them unless they are a telepath themselves).

Mind Reading:
Tessa is capable of reading the thoughts of others, ranging from thoughts focused at her to surface thoughts with simply a glance and a moment of concentration, to delving into someone's mind to find deeper, more buried ones or even entire memories. The more hidden or secured something is, the longer it takes for Tessa to dig into it, and others with psychic abilities may be able to detect her, as well as those with high amounts of willpower potentially being able to block her out.

Reboot:
There is a pressure point on Tessa's body somewhere that is capable of rebooting her mind, much like restarting a computer. This will clear it of any mental tampering or negative effects, though leave her unable to react for several moments as her mind boots back up.

Telepathic Communication:

Tessa is capable of telepathic communication, either projecting her thoughts or reading thoughts focused at her, allowing silent and instantaneous communication. She is capable of expanding this into a telepathic network between several people, using herself as the main hub, allowing 'group chats'. This has a reasonable distance, able to cover an entire building and the area around it, allowing on the fly tactical planning.

Tessa is a member of a super-exclusive fine club for the rich and famous. Obviously, she knows how to dance with them as well!

Business and Tactics:
Often considering them very similar, Tessa is knowledge in both the field of business and contracts, as well as in tactics of all sorts, ranging from chess to boardroom to battle tactics.

Combat-Ready:
Tessa is in great physical shape, capable of running a marathon if she so wished, and is overall an incredibly athletic person.

Espionage:
Tessa is well-trained in the art of espionage and infiltration, capable of taking up a new identity easily, knowing how to use dead drops and deal with common encryption-decryption methods, and otherwise being capable of general sneaking missions should she so choose.

Knife Fighting:
Tessa is a skilled knife fighter, often using it in conjunction with her martial arts, and keeps a dagger hidden on her at all times.

Marksmanship:
Tessa is a skilled marksman, capable of using pistols, shotguns, rifles, and most other types of modern firearm with considerable skill. She specializes in the pistols primarily, however.

Martial Arts:
Tessa is a formidable martial artist, capable in multiple styles of hand-to-hand combat both offensively and defensively, including Krav Maga and CQC. Her motions are exceptionally fluid due to her relatively higher control over her body than most.

Piloting:
Tessa is a capable pilot of both vehicles such as cars and motorcycles, as well as helicopters and jets. She can even use combat-variants of the latter with a reasonable amount of skill.

Polyglot:
Tessa is fluent in multiple languages - English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Japanese, Mandarin, Cantonese, Arabic, and Romanian.

Quick Learning:

Due to her Kinetic Mind, Tessa is capable of learning new mundane skills relatively quickly (though cannot outclass an expert in such skills), such as cooking, sports, or similar, and use them for basic purposes.

Tessa is a member of the Hellfire Club, an exclusive elite club for the rich and famous, which is an excellent starting point for forging new relations, as well as serving as a safe-haven. Even further, she is a member of the secret Inner Circle, where she serves as an assistant and advisor to some of the most powerful people in the world, and in turn has quite powerful connections.

Bottled Emotions:
Tessa is not emotionless, she simply represses them so they don't interfere with her business, not allowing them to take over her. Any empath that could get past her barriers could make her cycle out of control quite easily, bringing out her anger and making her much more irrational than she usually is.

Logic Over Emotions:
Tessa tries to decide things by logic, not emotions. She does not 'hope', she checks the odds of something, weighs it over in her head, and then chooses the action that best suits her. She can be baited into situations with this, as she will always take the more logical decision, which can often be manipulated by the clever.

Reboot:
While nominally a useful ability to stop unwanted mental intrustion, Tessa's reboot pressure point is also incredibly dangerous if someone knows about it, as well as when it's in use. While rebooting, she is incapable of reacting to anything around her, and those who know where it is and who can activate it can shut her down and even potentially take her out of a fight completely.

Secrets:

Tessa's history is kept entirely secret and mysterious, and she divulges it to no one. While this creates a sense of mystique about her, she also keeps it secret for incredibly life-threatening reasons, and those who start closing in on it could force her into a panic...or even blackmail her.
