Hugo Strange	It was night at the East SIde of Manhatten. This part of town had a lower crime rate then other parts, but it still happened. Across the street from the Themysciran Embassy was Antoine's Jewlery Store, a store founded by Antoine Carlini, a recent Italian immigrant. His store, much to the confusion of everyone in the neighborhood, was built on the sight of a former tenament building. Besides the first two floors, he kept the other five stories completley unrenovated. Antoine was closing up the store and was about to head upstairs and turn in his loft apartment when he heard the sound of screeching tires. Suddenly, the sound of crashing and broken glas filled the air of the East Side. If one were to look towards the sound of the noise, they would see a van were the front door once been. Antoine groaned as he lied on the floor, dazed. He was luckily not hit by the van, but the force of the impact caused him to fall to the ground. Suddnly, a sawn-off shotgun was pointed directly in his face. Antoine looked up and saw a man wearing a tank-top and blue jeans and a ski-mask glaring down at him. There were six other masked men in the store with him. The man then says in a gravely voice with a hint of a Texan accent, "Alright old man. Stay on the ground or I will blow yer fuckin head off!" The Shotgun weilding man then turned towards the other men and said," Alright boys, start loading up the bags before the law shows!" This heist, of course was coordinated by Hugo Strange, but it had a double purpose only the tank-top clad man knew. Hugo was starting a profile on Wonder Woman, and this location was chosen specifically to draw her out. Attached to his belt was a tape recorder that he was to play at the right moment. All he needed to do was steal the jewels and wait for the dammned Amazon to show up. So he started to break display cases and staff jewlery in plastic shopping bags.
Diana Prince	It doesn't take too terribly long for word of a heist unfolding TO reach the damned Amazon Princess who lives across the street and down a few buildings. Of course she's been spending a lot more time in Gotham lately, as its public knowledge that she's been helping Bruce Wayne recover from terrible injuries, and they've been seen having a bit of a social life together since as well. But, as it so happens the Princess is here today and within minutes she's on the move. On the approach. The would be robbers are given enough time to fill their bags, and frighten everyone in and around the store, but Diana arrives from above. She'll target the first crook that makes himself slightly vulnerable and she'll use her lasso to try to whip him up off of the ground and swing him back toward his own van! There after, Diana will land upon the sidewalk with shield up and lasso glowing at her side!
Hugo Strange	As the robbers continued their pillaging of poor Antoine's store, they started making jokes and having casual conversations with each other. A man wearing a Hawaiian shirt and blue jeans looks towards a man wearing a green Tony Hawk t-shirt and cargo pants and brags about how he is gonna take his share and take his "old lady" on a trip to Cabo. Meanwhile, a shorter man wearing a red polo shirt is cracking a joke about what sounds dead Italians make to a tall, muscular man wearing a black Hoodie with a snarling dog on it. Meanwhile, the tank-top clad ring leader just rolls his eyes and sighs, he can't wait for these assholes to get their asses kicked. Suddenly, one of the men, a medium sized man wearing a t-shirt with the Adidas logo on it grins greedily and starts to make his way towards a peral necklace near the entrance of the store. As he attempts to open the case, he leaves himself open for Wonder Woman's lasso.
Diana Prince	Diana is on top of their vehicle when her lasses grabs the man in the Adidas shirt and yanks him back inside of the van with the lasso. The golden rope of the Gods, unbreakable and unyielding in its ability to pull the truth as people perceive it from their mind, should one be ensnared by it and questioned! But right now, she's simply using it to round up the riff-raff! Diana jumps off of the Van and charges into the store around the chaos that it has created. She moves at tremendous speeds toward the next nearest man and as he raises a weapon up to aim at her she's already on him, and using her mighty metal shield to bat his weapon away and then her lasso-holding fist to slam it into his chest hard enough to send him over the counter and against the wall behind it! With a flash of motion she twirls her body around and sweeps a leg to the heels of the Robber he was standing beside of, to drop him to the debris strewn floor and then slam a back handed fist across the side of his face!
Hugo Strange	The man wearing the polo goes flying over the counter. Before the hoodie wearing man could raise he weapon, he is knocked to the ground and punched out. The man with the tank-top could not help but grin underneath his mask, just as the boss predicted. Suddenly, he grabs Antoine by the shirt collar and raises him up forcibly and says, "Get your ass up old man! You are coming with me!" Antoine lets out a frighten yelp as he hauled off the ground. As the tank-top wearing man drags Antoine up the stairs towards the rest of the tenament, he gestures towards the Hawaian, shirt wearing man and the man with the tony-hawk wearing t-shirt to follow him. As the four make their way up the stairs, firing at Wonder Woman as they do, they leave behind a man with a black sweater and sun-glasees, who is firing his Uzi at WW, unawre that his allies have elft him behind.
Diana Prince	Diana's reflexes and where with all are at the level of a God. She can sense what is going on around here as though its playing out in slo-motion, though her own actions move at would would be considered normal speeds, when in the spectrum of normal human movements she's able to speed around at tremendous levels. Maybe not like a Flash or a Quicksilver, but still very very fast. But she's aware of Antoine being taken away to the staircase, however the Uzi fire starts and comes down upon her like a hailstorm! Her shield rises and she deflects the bevy of incoming bullets in all directions off of her shield, sending sparks flying around inside of the store. Not all heroes in this city are made from the handy work of Gods and Goddesses though. Some are still the NYPD... The man with the uzi trained on Wonder Woman is suddenly blasted from behind by three well placed gunshots from one of New York's boys in blue! He pops the gunman three times and drops him to the ground! Diana, lowers her shield, and stares past it toward the Police Officer who has his weapon trained on the uzi-wielding gunman, he spares only a moment's glance up to Wonder Woman to offer her a nod, and she one back to him in return... Then Diana is off, sprinting at high speeds to catch the man who'd captured the Store's owner!
Hugo Strange	By the time WW is on her way after the owner, the three hostage takers were almost to the roof. The man in the tank-top looks at the man with the green Tony Hawk shirt and says, " You, stay down here and nail her when she comes up!" The man nods and as the two remaining robbers make their way to the roof, the Tony Hawk T-shirt wearing man waits behind a corner, a 2x4 in hand waiting for WW to show up so he can swing it at her. When he hears her footstpes coming, he steps out from his cover and swings the wooden plank at her.
Diana Prince	Diana isn't quite that easily foiled. She knows the man is there behind the wall so she stops and turns and... SLAMS herself through the wall. So when he swings he hits nothing air, then the wall he was hiding behind HITS HIM and sends him FLYING across the ground to a ledge where he collides against it. Diana stalks toward him then and puts one armored foot down onto his chest, then stares down at him. "Do not go anywhere." She calmly warns him. "The Police will be with you momentarily." And with that said and done, Diana removes her foot and starts toward the roof. She steps out onto it and holds her shield at her side. Her sword is still on her back and her lasso is coiled in her other hand. She sweeps her eyes around to find the others, to find Antoine. "He is coming with me, it is time to surrender and end this." She tells them.
Hugo Strange	The final two men made it to the roof, and found they were about to be corned. The Hawaaiian shirt wearing man lets out a swear and say, " Fuck! I can't go back to Ryker's Island now!" The other man stamps his foot to get his attention. He then says," Ya won't. Just follow my lead boy." As Wonder Woman appraoched the roof, she would see the Hawaiian shirt wearing man pointing another Uzi at her while the man with the tank-top is near the edge of the building, holding a pistol to Antoine's temple. Once WW makes her demand, the Uzi-weilding man justs scoff and says," And go back to Ryker's! Yeah right!" Meanwhile, the man with the tank-top just scoffs and says," Ya really want him eh? Well come and get him!!" Suddenly, the man in the tank top hurls Antoine off the roof.
Diana Prince	Diana doesn't hesitate or shake a beat. She does two things since they're both easily accomplished in succession of one another. She charges at the man who's holding the uzi, with her shield up. She launches at him with tremendous speed. She's a trained warrior and these men have forfeited their own safety in-lieu of seemingly making a quick buck by stealing. They've endangered innocents and are placing more and more lives at risk with every moment of being given the ability to operated unhindered, so she launches at him and collides with him against her shield, to send HIM over the edge of the building, along with her! Diana's goal is to jump out across the opening and use her lasso-holding hand to twirl it down and around Antoine, to grasp him and pull him up with her as she flies across to the other side of the street and down below to catch Antoine and keep him safe from harm's way!
Hugo Strange	The man with the Uzi lets out a surprised grunt, which is then replaced with a horrified scream as he joins Antoine's screaming in a chorus of horror. As Antoine's is caught by Wonder Woman, the man with the Uzi's scream is cut off when he suddenly lands on a pile of garbage nearby, surprsingly unharmed. The man with the tank-top starts to run away from the scene, surprsingly leaping across the rooftop to a different one. As Wonder Woman lands on the ground, she would see the Tank-top wearing man running down a diffrerent rooftop while reaching to hius belt and throwing what looked like a tape recorder directly towards WW. The tape recorder had the words "PLAY ME NOW!" written on them in sharpie.
Diana Prince	The tape recorder is caught and normally Diana would give chase to get the man before he can flee from the scene, but just as she's about to she sees a car accident occur due to the situation at the Jewelry store's entrance. A shipping truck slams into a street post and Diana has to go then and deal with it, to make sure its driver is safe and those around it are handled as well. So some time unfortunately passes and she's unable to pursue the other man, but once its said and done, Diana does step off to the side and she pulls the tape recorder up from her harness' satchel and presses the Play button to hear whats on it.
Hugo Strange	The tape starts with the typical crackling of what one would expect from a mid 1960s tape recorder. Suddenly, what sounds like distorted Christmas Carols start playing as a distorted voice says in the background, "Good evening Wonder Woman. My name is Freud, and you have completed your first test. Tonight, i have sent my men to rob Antoine's specifically to lure you out and test your actions. My man will come back to me and report what you did tonight to me. "This only the first test in a series of tests i shall admisnister to you. Expect the second one soon. Good evening Wonder Woman, and let the games begin." The tape then goes on for a minute morwe with the Christmas Carols still playing in the background, then it stops.
Diana Prince	Diana listens to the distorted Christmas music roll out of the recorder and then the voice that follows with the message. She'd dealt with things similarly to this before. She'd had villainous types become obsessed with her in the past, she's no stranger to it. So when the message is said and done and the tape runs out she deactivates it and exhales. Her lasso is put away at her hip and she starts to walk toward the Police barricade nearby, there's not much she can do yet, but she'll turn the tape into the Justice League's lab for evaluation in a few hours.
