Nick While some are sleeping off their hangovers from Saturday hijinks gone awry. The more sober minded, the early birds, and the never went-to-bed-at-all folks may be taking advantage of the early services and masses being offered throughout the city.

In a city as large as New York. St. Patricks is experiencing a decent turn out for the first mass of the day. With the size of the cathedral, it's not a full house. There's plenty of space people can put between themselves and they have.

"The mass is ended. Go in peace."

There is a momentary hush as the processional makes their way from the altar. No one moving until after the priest vanishes behind the door. The shuffle of coats being plucked off the wooden pews hinting to the start of the mass exodus from the church.

Nick is not wearing his usual fare and has also switched over to is Sunday attire. A gray dress shirt with the top button undone, black dress slacks. Long hair pulled back neatly with a sombre expression to match. He does not appear to have a hangover like the man clinging to the pew in front of him. He instead is putting back the missalette onto the shelf built into the back of the pew in front of him and quietly glancing around. He opts to wait in his seat until the first surge is complete.
Tim Drake Tim Drake was on stake out for a guy who is normally in Gotham, but has been missing for a bit of his local hang outs. His timing for leaving Gotham is suspisious. Red Robin followed the man, but upon getting to the church not some place the no longer boy wonder can follow in costume. So with a bit of quick change Alvin Draper complete with little mustache but no sunglasses, least not currently on can be found in one of the back pews. Quietly watching and following along with what is supposed to be done but more like a drifted believer or one who knows them more from knowledge than practice.
Karrin Murphy Given it's a Sunday, and Karrin's in NYC because, well, truth be told she had car trouble getting on the expresssway, she stayed over in NYC the prior night. That...and SPECTRE cases don't respect sleep or Sundays, it seems. Murph's dodged this one, however, by virtue of heading to church. No. Really. Rule 150 of knowing Murph. Do not piss off a Catholic at church. Phone is off for a reason! Oh she knows there'll be missed calls, but she even put it on the SPECTRE internal calendar in their system. Do not disturb fits Karrin's trip very well. Only ones allowed to call her are Harry and Thomas. Two who won't get invited to Sunday sermons. Harry because of his penchant for trouble. Thomas because of what he is.

Oh and there's the whole getting dressed for church thing.

Murph's going with Catholic dress decorum for women, as well. Smart. Formal. Neatly ironed shirt, suit jacket, skirt, and formal shoes. She's still got her sidearm and badge however. Oh that was fun explaining to the Father why she brought a handgun and a badge to church. Like Nick, Murph's not hungover. She's had her cofffee on the cab ride here. yes. Cab ride, she got a breakfast sandwich and said cofffee. Her coat is folded neatly on the pew next to her, and she's sitting still, sat behind Nick and waiting too for the first surge to leave. She looks nothing like the cop people assume. Well if they only get a glance at her, that is. Eyes closed, and head bowed she smiles, raising her head and opening her eyes. Glancing past Nick she gives the man in front of him a sympathetic look. He got busted for urinating in public (alright it was in Central park, against a tree, but still....) and let out. The wheels of justice turn slowly, but Murph's not bothering him. He's got enough to deal with. Her, too. She's skipping conffession. Mostly since her sins are many, varied, and deep. She's just gonna cleanse her soul in other, more practical, ways.
Kaida For her part, Kaida still tried to keep in touch with the homeless people who took her in. She was in a bad spot and things were weird for her at first. She wasn't even sure if she was a mutant or just cursed or something. So, when she sneaks off to check in on the homeless people who helped her, she finds out some jerk from Gotham was causing trouble for them. One claimed he got kicked out of a nice and warm spot by the A-Hole. She wasn't gonna have that. So, now she's tracking him down.

Unlike some detectives, she has to rely on other forms of searching. For her that mainly means scent and sound. So, now she has tracked him almost literaly to this location, sneaking into the cathedral as people slip out. She scurries along the floor, then scrambles and hops up a high through various platforms till she reaches a point overlooking the whole church, spotting Nick there, she smiles. Though, she quickly gets back to surveillance. This guy is gonna regret messing with homeless folks when he ends up dealing with Kaida.
Nick The man in front of Nick pushes himself up, giving a bit of a cringe as he does so. Oh yes. There's a definite hangover there but at least he's able to stand. Turning, he gives a glance to Karrin before stumbling off down the aisle.

With the crowd thinning out, Nick turns to grab his own coat. A slightly nicer one than what he typically wears because, well, church. But it is also likely secondhand.

Because, well, frugal.

The glimpse of someone else lingering in his peripheral view does cause for him to turn his head, tired eyes assessing the officer. "Karrin?"
Tim Drake Alvin keeps his seat, as seems the one he was following plans on going to confession or something. He does pull his phone out seeming to check something. Hey church is over it is allowed, young people today.... He will tap something and key in on a bug that plays to a hidden earbud for Tim. He overhears a bit from those near the fellow as well.
Karrin Murphy Murph glances to Nick and smiles. "Yes?" she asks with a gentle smile. "I thought you' be here. It's therapeautic isn't it?" she asks, adjusting her sidearm for a moment. It's hard when said holster and sidearm is pressed against a dress shirt under a suit jacket. On the other hand, Murph's got paperwork for this. She looks relaxed for a moment, her coat neat, formal, and worn at formal gatherings. It's seen Thanksgivings, Christmases, funerals, and parades, and formal gatherings. Murph joins the confessional line. She's decided okay, I'm living with Harry frigging Dresden. I may as well make things interesting around here.

"You coming?" she asks to Nick, then gets right back to waiting in line. Oh this is gonna take a while, whenever it's her turn. There's a line for confessional. And a line when Murphy's /in/ there.
Kaida Running along a rafter, Kaida slips to up above Nick and peers down at him and the woman that he is speaking to. She hmms and then sniffs at the air, looking slowly around as she does before she considers something and shakes her head. This isn't a dead end but there's just too many people here without getting in closer. She looks at the various ways down and then notes everyone heading for the line so she just does the easy route.

With a quick flip, she simply jumps off the rafters and then spins in the air a couple of times before she finally lands with a whomp on the floor. It's really not all that noisy given the roll she does at the end. She then pops up and scampers along to under the pew near Nick and Karrin, sniffing more at the air.
Nick The musician does give a slight nod to Murph's first question. "I think church was where mom was the most relaxed." Nick admits, "Does kind of give a secure feeling."

At the invite, Nick blinks before shrugging, holding his coat by the collar before getting up back to follow her into the line. The coat hangs down low to the ground, reaching to his ankles. It really IS a nice second hand coat.

"I've already done it but I can wait with you." He'd done it prior to mass so he could partake in communion but it seems Karrin wants company. Not sure there's much to talk about this time around.
Karrin Murphy Murph is still waiting in line for confessional, though she's not listening in on anyone else's sins. She does, though have an idea what to confess. Between the shooting the Foot thugs, and oh yeah moving in with said wizard P.I. So she's looking pleased, and slips him a candy bar, for old time's sake. In her mind she can almost hear Nick's mom yelling at her and giggles silently, or at least in her mind. She's not silently giggling, nope. But hey, inside joke and recalls for things that happened years ago. She nods, and leaves her coat unzipped. It comes down to her waist, unlike Nick's.

There's a lot to discuss, but exploits and sharing apartments, and bedrooms are not church-safe topics. Especially givn Karrin isn't marrid. Scandalous! Still, when Kaida makes her way, woomph, there it is! Church mutant (maybe mighty?) mouse!

Yes she'd like company, Harry's not ansering calls. Thomas is off limits for churrch. Axe, the bouncer at the Blue Lady isn't somebody she'll willingly bring to mass. And Buffy? She's got her things going on. Mike and Molly aren't answering calls, either. Waldo's changed his number, and the Alphas are doing their thing. So Murph's just looking for company. Les misery. More undercaffeinated spook squad cop.
Tim Drake Tim Drake is continueing his watching and blinks as he sees something, since he has his phone in hand he tries to catch a shot of the falling mouse girl. It might be just a blur but he does keep an eye on her while saying "Ma these windows are killer, I wonder if Joey could get some made but with something like 8-ball vs Arachne or something that would be cool." He says of his idea, sounding a bit dense perhaps.
Kaida A look over at Nick and Karrin, the girl has to be careful. People panic when they see mice sometimes and she really doesn't wanna cause a panic. Though, there is an opportunity here. Nick will feel it as she suddenly scrambles up his jacket and pops into a high pocket before calling out, "Nick. Hey, nick!" She sorta whisper yells which is very odd from someone her size. She just waves at him when he looks and then she calls up, "Don't call too much attention! I'm looking for a bad guy." She nods her head and gives a tiny thumbs up.
Nick Feeling the crinkle of the candy bar brushing against his hand, one side of Nick's lips twists upwards in response. The hand opens enough to accept the candy before sliding it into his pocket. A habit picked up after the first confrontation. The head tilts downwards as he start chuckling, in line for the confessional.

Overhearing some of the stupidest window commentary ever, Nick turns to look towards Alvin, brow arching before turning back to the cop. "So, when did you end up in Ne-"

His eyes widen as he feels his jacket getting tugged. A glance going downwards to see a little mousey friend he met in raven form popping into one of the pockets.

He looks to Kaida curiously but upon hearing her explanation, he nods so slightly, looking to Karrin. Not questioning. Since meeting Strange, questioning things is giving him a headache now a days. Just best roll with it.
Tim Drake Tim Drake is ok with people thinking he is a dufuss it helps when your not wanting people to think much about you. He takes another photo, and is looking over towards Nick and Karrin a moment, as his eyes followed Kaida. He hmms, as the guy he is listening in on does head into the confessional now. He hits record slipping the phone back in his pocket.
Karrin Murphy Truth be told. Murph /misses/ those arguments with Nick's mother. Hey, giving candy to a little kid? Sure, why not? She smiles bitterly, and nods. "I miss your mom, the way she'd go off on me, then I'd have nothing for her to yell at me for, ya know?" Murph asks, the line moving forward ever so slowly. Oh she'll be here for a while. And she thinks Alvin's a doofus. Or to put it in Murph terms. He's as weird as Thomas, if somebody gave him crack, laced with Red Bull, Speed and Viagra, then locked him in a brothel. Which is to say. Extremely out of it.
Kaida Kaida is peeking out of Nick's jacket toward the confessional and sniffing the air. She nods her head a little as she determines that there's a strong likelyhood that the guy in the confessional is the one she is looking for. She then hmms and slips back down into the pocket a moment before she pops back up with an opened candy bar and takes a big bite out of it. She's a very hungry little mouse. She looks up at Nick and whispers, "Super good." She then looks forward and states, "And my quarry is in the confessional."

She takes another bite and looks over the candy bar before nodding, "Gonna have to get more of these." She then sets her sights directly upon the confessional as she looks forward, only occasionally glancing over to Karrin, the purveyor of fine candy bars.
Nick Nick glances around the cathedral, eyes setting upon the window Alvin seemed to so admire. "...I miss her too." Nick eventually admits, the other half of the lips joining the first part into a weak smile.

Pale eyes shift down slightly at Kaida's comments, seeing the candybar he just got being nibbled upon. Dang it- He was going to eat that later. Giving a sigh, he looks towards the confessional to see who the issue was about.
Tim Drake Tim Drake will stand up, and move around a bit. He seems to be looking over towards the confessional, as if perhaps he is deciding if he wants to get in line, but looking over towards the door out as if not sure which way he wants to go. He does frown a bit hearing the thugs confessions. The guy is a jack ass, and maybe the one Kaidia is after, but some of the things he admits, means he can't be the one Tim is seeking.
Karrin Murphy Karrin's purveyor of bullets, and justice. Now, candy bars. Another candy bar is handed to Nick. "Keep this one from the litle candy bar nibbling thing in your pocket" Karrin whispers, eyes s locked on the confessional as wel. She, too wonders who is in there, and why they're so important. She holds out a final candy bar for Kaida. Mostly since her thinking is, if Kaida has her own candy bar. She won't eat anyone else's. So...

Murph is watching confessional quietly, shuffling forward in line again, slowly, surely, etting frustrated.
Kaida A blink as another candy bar is handed over and she chomps another bite from the one she has. She peers out of the pocket at Karrin and eyes her carefully. She hmms at the lack of reaction before she chomps another bite and hmms, "Gun oil." She states softly and looks Karrin over carefully before she looks back up to Nick, "He's a jerk who's been hurting friends of mine..." She nods her head, "So I'm gonna give him a talking to..."
Nick Nick does not turn down the second candybar and instead slides that one into a pants pocket instead of the coat pocket. The smile that had formed is vanishing as the mouse announces her intent and reasoning. He's missing some key details but the comment of Gun Oil and the concept of someone the size of a mouse going to confront the person does leave reason to concern. No matter how quick they are. The locale is not desirable either. "Can it wait until they're outside of the church?"
Tim Drake Tim Drake is heading for the door himself as well. He stops for a moment placing a hand, (and a micro bug) at the door as he heads on out. He does not think there is going to be trouble, but if there is, it would be better to face it as RR than Alvin.
Karrin Murphy Murph looks woried at the idea of the little mouse girl sorting things out. Karrin isn't sure that's a good idea, but hey, she can have the mouse girl's back, honestly. Because why not. Murph's a cop after all.

Shaking her head Karrin looks to Nick then sighs, "Can this line start moving, anyhow?" she gripes quietly to them, and nods to Alvin, a 'hey/see ya' all rolled into one, too. Murph's trying to play by the rules, well, Harry Dresden's rules, and the PD ones. They don't often align perfeectly.
Kaida A look over Tim briefly and she doesn't really put anything to his disguise. He's just some guy. She looks instead to the man that steps out and then she frowns at Nick before saying, "I will wait till he's outside but he's gonna get one or two..." She nods her head and hten looks over at Karrin briefly before she shakes her head, "Impatient to confess?" She giggles a little at the thought and then she just leaps up out of Nick's pocket and scurries under a pew, "I'll wait outside...see you soon."
Nick "Be careful." Nick murmurs to the departing mouse before looking to Karrin and then to the confessional. He gives a nod to thenow open confessional. "Until we meet again, Karrin." Nick states, stepping out of line as well. He pauses, remembering something, "... And I tend to go by Nick now."
Karrin Murphy Murpy adjusts her holster and sidearm, looking quietly ready for trouble. Seeing the guy coming out of confession, she ducks out of the line more, nodding to Nick. Really, she's got no grounds to give him grief. But..t if he starts anything....she's game. She's good at being a cop,and shakes her head silenlty as if she's waiting for him to slip up and...

She needs to figure out if he's got anything she could move on. Warrans, talking to, that sorta thing.
