Kitty Pryde Kitty is more used to taking the subway since she started working in New York. Thankfully she has some alternate means of transportation available to her that allow her to cover the most frequently trips very quickly. Though that doesn't help her with going to get Jester from the vet. It was time for the growing golden retriever's shots. Not to say that Peter was being a baby about staying for them but...

Ok. Peter was being a baby about staying for them.

So Kitty hops on the train on her way home from work, planning to exit a different stop than normally to pick up the young dog. At the moment she's standing, hand holding one of the overhead bars, swaying with the motion of the train as it comes into the next station. It draws to a stop and the doors open, some people departing, others boarding.
Juggernaut     The train -lurches- to one side.

She might not have seen him coming which was weird enough in its own right. Maybe she just wasn't looking? It's really hard to miss a character like Cain Marko. Even without his armor and helmet, he cuts a very imposing and massive figure, having had to hunch down and twist his body seriously just to get through the door to the train.

Perhaps just as strangely as her not noticing him was the fact that he was not in his usual Juggernaut attire. Cain was clad in a black muscle shirt that hugged his upper body quite snugly, which isn't hard to fathom given just how massive he was. He also wore a pair of dark blue jeanes that somehow seemed just a tiny bit baggy around the lower thigh and calves. Large boots adorn those big feet.

As the train creaks for a moment under his weight and finally comes to, the massive man stoops and precariously seats himself on some of the seats, taking up three of them all to himself. And boy, do those seats look like they are laboring to hold him upright.
Kitty Pryde Kitty looks over as the train rocks. Everyone in the train looks over as it rocks. A couple of people, perhaps the wiser ones amongst the passengers, decide maybe this is their stop after all. They step out quickly as the doors are starting to close.

Kitty turns her head away from Cain Marko quickly. She recognizes him alright. Not only have they encountered each other a number of times, but she helped SHIELD lock him back up in December when his partnership with Blob went sour and the two nearly destroyed a dam on the Niagara river before the X-men intervened.

At the moment though she's not wearing her X-man uniform. A skirt suit actually, rather stylish, dark colors and a flattering cut. It's not a JVD but then Janet's clothing costs serious money. Kitty's hair is in the typical ponytail today. She peeks back over her shoulder at him to see what he's doing.
Juggernaut     Marko seemed to have noticed her as well, easily enough, with her being one of the few people that didn't start scrambling to move to another train car or decide to just get off the train outright. He found himself silently in awe at just how recognizable he was outside of his armor, but he also reminds himself that, a 9 foot tall behemoth of a human is bound to attract some kind of intimidating presence, regardless.

His eyes roam over Kitty from his position, behind her and a few seats away from her. When she turns to see what he was doing, it wouldn't be hard to figure out - he was completely checking her out. His eyes very visibly roaming over her figure as he leans back in his seat with a confident, boyish smirk on his face.

The seats beneath him strain, looking like they might give at any moment, while his massive arms stretch out along the top of the chairs to either side of him. A brief moment of reality hits him when it finally occurs to him who it was he checking out. The grin doesn't fade, but it does simmer down a bit.

    And still his eyes roam.
Kitty Pryde The stolen glances seem like they have been noticed. Perhaps recognized. Kitty glances back about the subway car. There really aren't too many people, even those who stayed on the train have been quietly making their way to other cars.

So she turns around to face Cain, eyes going over him, and how the chairs are straining to support his bulk. "You know some poor guy is going to have to try to bend those back into shape, before he gives up and replaces them," she says. Maybe talking to him will help keep the matter civil.

"Didn't realize you were out," she says. Ok, bringing that up probably won't help matters. But that's how she rolls. "Good to see you're... you know. Civilian," she says, nodding towards him.
Juggernaut     The big man gives a bit of a snort/scoff. He shifts a bit on those seats, but otherwise his position and posture remains relaxed and unthreatening.

"Hey - ain't my problem they don't know how to build good chairs anymore! Heh." He wriggles a bit, those chairs giving a VERY audible whine as he does so, but they still seem to hold him up, despite having taken a very large bend to their shape.

A noticeable twitch can be seen in his shoulders as they mentioned his little stint in lockup. He is silent for a moment, but gives another one of those scoffy/snorty things.

A thumb is pressed against his chest. "You think anyone can hold ME for long?!" The look on his face seems incredulous but turns into a grin, his eyes roaming over once more. "Don't you know who I am, toots?!"
Kitty Pryde Kitty's body sways with the motion of the train. It's a decidedly lopsided lurch now and then as Marko's weight plus the rest of the car being so empty has it favoring those wheels. "Yeah yeah. I know. You're the Juggernaut," she says.

She motions a free hand towards him. "So, here's what I want to know. You got all this power. I mean you could be doing so much good with it. Making tunnels for transportation, helping erect skyscrapers. Defending the world from... oh you name it. Sentinels. Aliens. We had some of those recently, maybe you heard. Anyway. I mean... why keep going through this cycle of fight, get tossed in jail, break out again?" she asks. "Really you never thought of just going straight?"
Juggernaut     Cain just gives a bit of a chuckle. Those massive arms fold inward and curl across his large chest. "It's simple, really. You see..." He trails off, stealing one more final glance at her as his eyes roam over her. "I am the Juggernaut. I do what I want. Sometimes people don't like what I want to do, and so they try to stop me. It doesn't work though. Never does." He gives a slight shrug.

"Act like I am some murderin' psycho or something. I get a little mad sometimes, that's all. And it ain't like I ain't never done somethin' good. Geesh..." He gives a bit of a dismissive gesture with his hand as the train starts to pick up momentum, leaving the station.

By now, that train car had all but emptied, leaving just the two of them.
Kitty Pryde Kitty Pryde walks over to stand in front of Juggernaut, putting her hands on her hips. "Yeah, you don't murder I'll give you that. But man you just lay waste to everything. Not saying you never do good. But... I just never seem to be around for it," she says.

Kitty glances at where they are on the train route. Her station is coming up next. For the moment she's glad it's not her normal one. "Well, it was nice to, you know. Talk. Instead of dodging those ham hocks you call fists," she says, reaching over to tap one of the giant hands.

The trains starts to slow down as it approaches the next station. "Looks like it's my stop," she says, turning to move for the door.
Juggernaut     Marko just sits there for a moment in a posture of mediocre defiance, with that large arms folded over his chest. As she steps over to stand in front of him, he looks "up" at her. Not precisely, though, because even when seated, he seems to be eye level with her while standing, if not a bit taller.

As she reaches over to tap one of his large fists, he quirks a brow. "Yeah, well - you'd be surprised how chummy I can get when Charles ain't siccin' his damn students on me."

As she turns to head to the door, he doesn't make a move, although perhaps some small part, in the back of his mind, wanted him to do -something-. He settles for just watching her go...

.... eyes trailing slowly over her as she makes her way towards the door.
