Owner Pose
Sif It has been a bit since dinner on the boat and it's given Sif a lot of time to think. Time that was used to buy the house and get it mostly put in order. There were still a few things that needed done. Not tonight though. Tonight... Something more important has to be done.

It wasn't easy for Sif to do and that's why it took so long though. Finally, however, she made her way to the living room where she knew Thor was and even though they shared the house, knocked on the door frame. "Am I interrupting?" Her voice is soft, almost demure.

She steps into the room, into line of sight. She's wearing a pair of straight leg dark jeans, a sleevelsss turtle neck style ribbed 'sweater' and a pair of slightly heeled boots. She's even left her hair down completely. No armor or shield or sword anywhere to be seen.
Thor He looks over as you come in, and he raises his brow just slightly, "No, not at all," he says. He's sittin by a fireplace that isnt' on, in a chair with a paper in front of him. He looks every bit like he belongs here, even though he's reading of all things the comics. Why? Because he likes his Midgardians and so he is reading them when you come in and he gestures. "Of course not," he says. He's not brought up the boat since the other night. He hasn't been super affectionate but he hasn't been cold either. He's allowing time and space, both things that are clearly completely needed. And so he sits back, folding his leg over his knee, letting the ankle rest there and you come in and he raises his brow slightly, looking at you and the outfit. "Oh no....you're going to get a rash," he teases but he stands up, putting the paper down and he looks at you. "What is this," he asks, definitely surprised to see you in such mundane attire.
Sif Hands puled from her back pockets, Sif shrugs. "I... thought a lot. About what you said." She lifts her hand, tucking a piece of hair back behind her ear and her head dips, eyes refusing to meet his. She's genuinely ashamed of her behavior. Yes, it was born from fear more than anything else. But she knows she's a stubborn woman and once her mind is set...

"You were right. And I am sorry, Thor. It is... Not easy for me. I do not do well being afraid. I makes me want to fight because that... That I know. That I can deal with. I do not like feeling so vulnerable outside of these walls. That does not excuse my behavior nor my attitude, however."
Thor "Afraid of what," he asks, looking confused. "Of the paper tigers that line the streets? There are this many people...." he says, holding up his thumb and forefinger together. "This many who could actually come close to doing something tha tmight make us exert ourselves inc ombat. And the rest," he says, and he just waves his hand, blowing on it. "There is nothing to be afraid of here, at least not yet. Not until whatever is coming decides to do exactly that. THEN...well then there would be something to worry about," he says. "THough even still, you wouldn't be afraid. At least shouldn't be," he says, looking back to you with that bit of noted curiosity, a bit of surprsie even. "Still...you look nice. Very...earthling? I'm surprised you went with so much fabric though...especially fo theirs. I was seriou swhen i said bring some of your clothes from home, some of our fabrics. You don't have to wear theirs to at least get out of armour and weapons."
Sif Sif's eyes close as she fights the urge to snap. She knows there's nothing to really be afraid of. That she is afraid anyhow upsets her. "We are not in Asgard where I could easily protect you. Where I do not have to constantly worry about breaking everything around me. It is... Unsettling to know the best way I can help is -not- to be at your side in every battle. It goes against thousands of years together, Thor... I am less afraid of the demons of Musplheim or the Jotuns than I am that... Just... " She swallows harshly. "I cannot lose you again. Do you understand that? None of it is logical or makes sense. Not even to me. It is not my head that is afraid. I do not doubt my skill nor yours."

Her eyes lift and she swallows hard. "I cannot promise that I will never again lose my temper. That how I feel for you won't drive stupid fear and perhaps cause me to react irrationally at times. What I can promise you, my love, is that I will do all I can to give this Realm and its people the chance to make an impression without my fear clouding my judgement."
Thor He nods quietly and walks over to you, and takes your hands. "I am not so fragile Sif that you need to worry about protecting me against everything here. Even their vehicles that drive ont he ground or fly through the air cannot really hurt us. When I was taken it wasn't them, it was Loki. Just because it happened here does not mean that you can blame all of them> IT was an Asgardian, not them, that caused you that pain. Remember that," he says. "Keep that line clear and perhaps you wn't hate them quite so much. YOu may decide you don't like New Mexico and that I'm willing to concede on. We do not need to go there again..."
Sif Hands taken, Sif immediately pulls away and steps in to hug him tightly, her head nodding. "I know. And you are not mortal now. Logically, I know this realm provides very little in the way that could harm either of us. Just as I know it was an Asgardian weapon that... But that is still very there and the fear of losing you again... It is irrational and illogical and I know this. It does not mean it will simply disappear. So I beg you patience as I try to set it aside." She's silent a moment, head bowing to his shoulder. "I would like to avoid the place if at all possible, yes but..." She swallows. "Should we be needed there... I will go." It's a huge step for her.
Thor He laughs, "Don't worry. I have other friends that will go there if we need. We can figure out the rest at a later time," he offers with a chuckle, his voice and tone playful, his eyes on you and clearly he knows that you're not going to like going there but he'll work on fixing it in a time frame that seems fair, suitabe, for things. Like you said, it will take time. "Did you try any skirts, by chance, dresses even?" yes, he's being playful. Look at you wearing clothes and now, NOW he thinks is the time to make jokes nad b epicky...
Sif SIf's shoulders start to shake and soon laughter is bubbling up out of her. "I am not certain which of us dislike my vulnerability more... Me or you." Lifting her head, she looks up at him for a long before finally huffing and rolling her eyes. "Yes. I tried on some dresses and skirt. And there may be a slim chance that I found some that weren't completely terrible." She found some she liked.
Thor He smiles as he pulls you in close, letting you rest against his chest. "So then, what about make up?" yes, he's going to keep pushing his luck until you smack him, that or something else happens that prompts him to maybe not poke the bear but Thor seems to be amused. He looks around the house, "This is...quite a nice home..for Midgard. I like how spacious it is. And the pool...and a few other things," Thor says genuinely. "I think we will have to thank Stark for helping us find it," he says, knowing of course that you did likely most of the work with the real estate agent only because Thor was really , really excited to see the agent have to deal with you, both of them, and your liekly completely lack of desire or interest to do any of the typical things like negotiate, help, etc. There was plenty of money to be had, so from Thor and Sif's standpoint there was no reason to do anything but enjoy and revel in the place they now have so Thor could let you...punish them to get the best deal.
Sif The Goddess laughs and rolls her eyes. "Don't push it, Thor." Still, she steps back and reaches for his hands. "Come... Let me show you what Midgardian clothing I found and then maybe I'll return to Asgard and pick up a few pieces." Yes, he gets to watch her change.

A snort and she's starting out of the room. "Stark, I am convinced, would simply have sent Pepper to handle such a thing and that dear woman has enough to deal with."
