Owner Pose
Mercy Thompson Mercy's a creature of habit, wrenches, cars and, yes, movies. Today she's cleared out a spot in her garage and has asmall TV set up, and has one of those camping chairs. Bad Movie Night's just been brought forward a few hours, if the boxes on the bench are anything to go by, a top list of cheese laden movies. Currently there's nothing on, as Mercy's not in the chair but is instead bringing a bowl of popcorn out. All this is visible thanks to her garage doors being wide open, she's not hiding what she's doing..

Even if some of the movies are s bad she'll never live it down. Waterworld bad...Mercy's digging the bottom of the barrel for her cathartic movie ritual today.
Castiel "..I heard you." Castiel grumbles, though it isn't terribly true. Still, he fakes it, because. "You are not in some sort of predicament. Did you wish to speak with me?" He hunches over in his trench coat, hands buried into the pockets. "Did you not say, 'Cas, use your telephone when it is not an emergency.' " Then he glances at the television. "Movies?" Hmmm this might be forgivable.
Mercy Thompson "Bad movies" Mercy says holding up several boxes, "An, yes. I thought we went over this, Cas" she says and nods, "Or do you need a refresher on how phones work? You dial the numbers and talk into it"

She can't help nedling him, Cas is so serious all the time. He needs to lighten up. "C'mon, if you'd like to stick around and watch Queen of the Damned and eat popcorn, you're more than welcome to. I use bad movies as a way to relax and unwind" Mercy explains, setting the popcorn bowl down
Castiel "You did not use the phone." Cas points out. Then again, the phone isn't charged. It sits like a lump in his pocket. "Bad movies? How come they are bad?" His head cants. "Do you have pizza and beer?" He takes a seat next to Mercy. "What bad movie shall we watch?" He's not sure about this, but pizza and beer should make it okay. Besides, he likes black and white movies, and he has been told that they are hideous. This might be good.
Mercy Thompson As it turns out, Mercy's got a selection of movies. Some black and white, some color, and all on DVD. Because, Mercy's like that, prepared. She's not got pizza and beer mind, but if Castiel's thought that far ahead and brought it, that works great.

"You pick since you're the guest" Mercy smiles. See, there's something about Castiel, he's like, in her mind, one of the pack she grew up with, grumpy but she can get why he is, sour angel with a heart of, okay...maybe not gold, but certainly aimed the right way. His ideas are good, but...

"You brought any snacks? We'll need them for this movie marathon" Mercy asides with a laugh, "Trust me, I've done this before. It's great stress relief"
Castiel "Hmm," Castiel makes a vague noise on the back of the throat. "Do you have Groundhog Day. Someone said I should watch it." Someone being one of the boys. "Do I look like I have treats? I did not know we were going to have a movie marathon." He does, however, remember a place where they could get the whole shebang. "Gino's pizza has beer and pizza and treats?"
Mercy Thompson "Well....no, but shall we call for takeout?" Mercy asks with a smile. "It's cheap, it's easy, somebody else cooks. I didn't intend on a movie marathon either but..." Mercy admits, "Why not when the mood takes you?" she shrugs and settles back, "Phone's in the office if you'd like to call or i can"

Mercy's fine with getting up to order food. But taking her Rabbbit to get food? That's asking for it. Doubly so for the Vanagon.
Castiel Castiel is easy. Gino's has treats, check. Pizza, check. And most of all, beer, double check. In fact, *he* goes to phone. Ooops, his phone is dead. "Um, could I borrow your phone?" Actually he could go to it, and return, but most people don't like him teleporting willy-nilly for beer and pizza!
Mercy Thompson Mercy's seen weirder. She's lived with a pack of werewolves so Castiel doesn't faze her that much, really. "You want to go grab food, go for it" she says, aka fre reign to teleport. Being the daughter of Coyote Mercy's used to weird things. "Just no beer for me, I don't drink" Mercy offers and waves ahand over to the movies on the workbench. "There's the movie selection, though which goes with pizza and drinks and treats, no idea" Mercy muses with a look to Castiel, then gets more comfortable in her chair. If Cas is going to get food and pick a movie, Mercy's definitely got the easier bit, sit here and wait and see what happens
Castiel He doesn't need to think about it, he's gone. About 15 minutes go past and he returns: beer, pizza, wings, assorted goodies, and for Mercy a couple of juices. "These are for you." Castiel puts them in her hands. "I did not know which ones so the girl at the cash register helped me." He shrugs, and puts out the dinner on the bench. "Ready?"
Mercy Thompson Mercy looks extremely pleased at the haul, "Thanks, you got enough for half the block" she offers and looks amused patting the chair next to her. "Ready, pick a movie and enjoy. Don't expect mastrpeices of cinema and I start spouting off history, just tell me and I'll be quiet" Mercy nods contentedly and smirks. Getting up she digs through the films.

"Here we go, 1940s era black and white film. Starring, well, see if you can guess who it is"

Leave it to Mercy to pick famous faces in bad films. This one? Julie Andrews.
Castiel Castiel picked out Groundhog Day for next, and settles down to watch the one Mercy picked.. "So what is this movie about? I have not seen it." And really he has seen a lot of the old black and white movies. He grabs some pizza while he's at it. And a beer, always the beer.
Mercy Thompson Mercy grins watching Castiel for a moment, "Ah just one of Julie Andrews least remembered roles" Mercy shrugs and sips the juice with a look to the TV, "Okay fine. Groundhog Day it is. Fine, this one won't work so" Mercy adds ejecting the disc. "All yours"

See. Castiel brought pizza and treats and a variety of drinks, see, Mercy's pleased.

That gives Castiel free reign to put on whatever movie he likes. Or in this case, Groundhhog Day. Mercy's seen it before, but it's worth viewing at least once a year in her book. Grabbing aslice Mercy laughs. "You really did get enough for half the block" she giggles. Or at least, her pack would devour that in a day or so.
Castiel Mercy earns herself a glower, "I like those old movies." He takes the movie and flips it on. And as for the food, she hasn't eaten out with the angel yet!
Mercy Thompson Mercy weathers the glower. Still not as scary as a werewolf. Or, scarewolf, either. Still she grins nibbling on pizza but does drop her gaze when the glower is at its worst. "Okay okay, fine" she concedes raising her hands (albeit with pizza slices) she looks flat out silly. Which is her way of defusing the tension.

RHey maybe eating out with the angel is something to put on her to do list. Much like, say, fixing up her old Bug that's over in the corner
Castiel He wasn't kidding, as the movie goes on, the angel does appear to be enjoying. In fact, Castiel actually smiles a tiny weeny bit. "I know her! She sings. And dresses up the children in drapes." As secord, and a third piece goes down fast, "I did not know she did not sing in every movie."
Mercy Thompson Mercy coaxed a smile from Castiel? Alright, then. She'll take it. The sour grumpy angel's not so sour.

"Nor did I" Mercy offers with a smile. "Mostly since I've not watched most of her films mind" Mercy smiles, looking relaxed.

"I didn't know she didn't sing in every film either" Mercy says with a giggle. Mercy's very much amused by this, though she's only finished her first slice of pizza however.
Castiel "Maybe her singing came after?" He also decides she needs a few pounds, "In those times women are scrawny. What good are they?" A fourth piece of pizza goes down, and he gets another. "Take Dean. He doesn't choose the scrawny ones. He chooses ones who can fight beside him. Now Sam.." Sam seems different. Very diffrent.
Mercy Thompson Mercy shakes her head with a quiet look, "How so?" she asks and looks a little worried by this. See. Mercy's now a little worried Cas is being judgy, but she's not about to speak up and ruin a good, friendly time.
Castiel "Mmm? Which brother?" Frankly, Castiel doesn't see the issue. They're the boys. He's supposed to find fault.
Mercy Thompson Mercy's not about to throw words at Cas, naah. Instead curiosity gets the better of her. "So. What's wrong with scrawny?" she asks looking over to Castiel. Mercy's not a stick figure, no, but she works out and works on cars so....she knows what she's doing alright. Looking over to the screen again Mercy shakes her head. "This is enjoyable, I was aiming for good company and awful movies. I think we found decent movies and company" Mercyy admits. Okay so she shanked the movies, fine, but. Good company, she'll take it!
Castiel "Well, they both pick the wrong women. Sam wants the woman who represents what he can't have. Dean doesn't want anyone. At least they aren't fooling themselves. Sam is going to hurt himself." Castiel sighs. "I worry about them."
Mercy Thompson "They sound like trouble" Mercy says and pauses the movie. "Still, can't you, I dunno, sit them down or....well, Sam seems like he needs somebody to sit him down and say hey, look at what you want and find somebody. Dean? No idea" Mercy adds going for another slice of pizza. Mmm.

"You did great with no anchovies or pineapple" Mercy adds. "And you didn't get orange juice, so bonus points" Mercy adds between bites/ Cas is doing great with getting food and drink. Smart angel
Castiel "Pizza I am good at," Castiel remarks dryly. "Boys? Not so good at."
Mercy Thompson "Maybe they just need pizza?" Mercy opines unpausing the movie. "I mean, pizza can help in every situation, right?" she adds and is sassy and just a little optimistic. Hey if she can help without even beaking cookies? Good idea, really. Mercy is smart and knows what she's up to when it comes to putting sugar on cookies. In terms of relationships? She's kinda lost at sea really.
Castiel "Bah, this make no sense to me. But then again, they're good boys. Even with them reason I can't go back to heaven." Castiel grumbles, "Don't tell." Considering mabye, just maybe, he hadn't apologized and been welcome back into Heaven was because he was fond of them.
