Phoebe Beacon     There was a major bonus to having a technologically inclined crime-fighter boyfriend. The Toys.

Well, not really toys. Tools. In this case, Phoebe was wearing her work-out clothes. Her light staff was in her hand, and she knew she was on a timer with it. She breathes out, a VR headset on, and she begins to follow through a training regimine.

The light staff is tracked via an optical hook-up, measuring brightness, variances, energy outputs, heat -- all being fed into one of Tim's computers.

Her movements are tracked, transmitted into the virtual world where she's facing down a worst fear from her childhood. Strikes are registered via a HUD.
Tim Drake Tim Drake comes walking down into the area scanning about. He sees Beacon working out so he decides to see what she has set up for herself. He makes his way over to the computer checking to see what she is running and how long into it and how long left she has.
Phoebe Beacon     Program: CBPractice-B1
    Total Length: 15 Minutes
    Remaining: 4 minutes, 37 seconds

The computer screen has a generated, videogame-like view of what she's seeing as she turns around, fighting a horde of evil, zombie carebears, grown to brown bear height, shambling about on two legs threatening to eat her ymmy, yummy heart!

... she had weird dreams as a kid. Don't judge.
Tim Drake Tim Drake 's brow raises, but makes mental note if ever buying her a kiddie gift go with my little ponies, or strawberry shortcake, stay away from care bears and gummy bears. He will move to get her a cold watcer, and a towel, so when she is finished he has both ready for her.
Phoebe Beacon     She's a fair bit more acrobatic now, as she's been training with Tim. She replies less on her aikido throws, and more on a blend of using her staff to keep others away, and to provide striking power. She is working up a sweat though, even in the air conditioned Robin's Roost that she's been occupying. She doesn't make it the five minutes though, at two minutes ten seconds, she takes off the headset, letting her light staff fade as she tilts her head back, gasping air as she allows herself to let go of breathing in a far more controlled manner. She's pushing herself.

"Okay, so more hits equal less time... that's a new one..."
Tim Drake Tim Drake chuckles a bit and says "Yea, if you take out the baddies you get done faster unless you put unlimited baddies in it." He grins at her offering her both the towel and the cold water.
Phoebe Beacon     "GYAAH!" comes a surprised sound, and Phoebe turns, this time grabbing for a practice bo before she realizes it's the most likely person to visit the Robin's Roost. Robin.

"TIM!" she exclaims, an then rubs the back of her head.

"Ah... how long were you watching?" she questions meekly, accepting the offering of the towel first, wiping her face.

"... also if I set a number, I begin counting. It throws off the time." she mutters quietly.
Tim Drake Tim Drake grins a bit and says "Well might be good to set it with a number some times, There are times when we have a decent head count going in, be prepared for both ways." He smiles and steps in and kisses her cheek once she had wiped it dry. "Just a few minutes, but you were looking good."
Phoebe Beacon     "You're biased." Phoebe points out with a smile, accepting the kiss on her cheek, and looping the towel around her shoulders, she accepts the water.

"I'm improving my time on holding it steady, though. I have no idea if its brightness is actually linked to how strong it is, but I've been holding pretty steady in lux." she gives a small smile, then kisses Tim's cheek.

"How was the meeting today? Boring?"
Tim Drake Tim Drake nods and says "Mostly, got to see a few new gadgets that might be interesting, but more amazon gizmos than usefull things to be honest." He nods, and says "We could do a test see how long ya can keep it up.
Phoebe Beacon     "Pretty sure by now I can keep it up longer than you." Phoebe jokes, and shakes her head "But I've gotta take a short break. That was my second round of fifteen minutes tonight, and I can kinda feel it draining." she admits in embarrassment. "I"d hate to be caught without being able to heal."
Tim Drake Tim Drake smirks and says "Well we might have to see just how long both can last." He teases her back." He will grin at het. "Want to get cleaned up, and we can grab some take out and cuddle up on the couch with one of your tv shows?"
Phoebe Beacon     "What, are you going to make fun of my adoration of Golden Girls again? That is *hardly* the geekiest think I like." Phoebe replies, passing by Tim and giving a swift -- but soft -- tap to his rear end, purely in flirtation. "Mom wants to have you over for dinner again some time this week. She's making lasagna."
Tim Drake Tim Drake smiles and says "I am good with it, you think she would be ok with me spending the night there with you?" He will ask her, and yea he moves to follow her.
Phoebe Beacon     "What, and not sneaking out the skylight to fight crime, save the city?" Phoebe asks with a laugh, "I know us too well there, Tim. Nice quiet evening, you, me, my plants, old space movies on Netflix, and then suddenly the neighborhood's in trouble. I didn't think we got nights off."
Tim Drake Tim Drake chuckles a bit and says "Well some times we need them, and figure it would go a long way towards reassuring ya mom that we aint doing anything weird like dressing up in brightly colored spandex and fighting crime.
Phoebe Beacon     "Speak for yourself. Mine's gray, blends into buildings and shadows." Phoebe points out, and she hops up to sit cross-legged on a table. Mostly to defend her butt from reprisal blows.

"... you know she won't let you spend the night until she meets 'a parent'. That's a hard rule." she reminds him, and she leans back a moment. "... which is weird because when I'm out of the house for the night it's not a big deal."
Tim Drake Tim Drake looks to her and says "Even knowing I don't live with Bruce any more? I mean I think I can probably get around that one." He grins "That or bring Alfred, and tell her he is the closest I could get." He says stepping close to her hands on her hips.
Phoebe Beacon     "Yeah-huh. *I* haven't even met Alfred yet. Just know he's a heck of a cook and a really decent guy. You speak higher of him than you do Bruce or, y'know. Batman." she states quietly, Phoebe's gaze looking up to Tim as she gives a slight smile. "... I've... kinda been avoiding the topic of what we do out here. I usually just say I'm a volunteer beta-tester for some Wayne Tech stuff and have a hush-hush, NDA type thing."
Tim Drake Tim Drake nods a bit to this still not quite confirming Bruce is the bat but not denying it either, Well he is ready to help with preping you for that dinner if your wanting him to." He says of Alfred.
Phoebe Beacon     "Hrrmbleblbe." is Phoebe's reply, and she rubs her forehead. "Are you *sure* you wanna take a classless person like me to a fancy dinner, Tim? I mean, aren't there supermodels? What about that singer, teen girl, former Disney--" she snaps a finger. "Andrea! She seems classy!" Phoebe attempts to deflect.
Tim Drake Tim Drake looks to Phoebe and looking her dead in the eye "I would rather take the most attractive, kick ass girl I know, and you have more class than you think you do love. It aint just about which fork to use. It is also about how you treat people and don't think I will find classier than you there.
Phoebe Beacon     "Yeah, but I'm... y'know." she states, and rubs the back of her head "Incredibly normal. I'm the daughter of a middle school history teacher attending the home-town U because it's on the cheap thorugh grants kinda made possible through your adoptive family, and your adoptive family is the Wayne family. That's... a lot of pressure. More than training me with crime fighting to make sure that I don't get too beat up out there. I'm just scared someone will say something, and then this will... I dunno. End."
Tim Drake Tim Drake looks to her, and takes her hands in his and says "Whose opinion do you think I am going to value over yours hon? Who do you think can look at me and tell me I should not be with you and I aint gonna tell to screw off.?
Phoebe Beacon     "... I'm scared Bruce Wayne is going to think I'm some gold digger." Phoebe finally admits. "I mean, I've seen the magazines, the whole playboy thing going on. That's entirely what I thought you were like until we actually started hanging out and I hate to almost physically fight you to let me pay for my own noodles!"
Tim Drake Tim Drake looks to her, and says "Ok hon, Bruce is a pretty good judge of character, and if I am being honest knowing him has ran enough background checks on you and ya mom to make the FBI proud. Not that he would ever admit it or stick his nose into our dating lives. Bruce more often than not will come off distant, he does care, but he also respects out decisions."
Phoebe Beacon     "... geez. All my mom did was ask me if you held the door for me or not." Phoebe states, and she purses her lips.

"All right, so... when do I get finishing school lessons?" she asks, and rubs the back of her neck "... and I don't think my prom dress is going to be fancy enough for a black tie."
Tim Drake Tim Drake smiles and will pull out his phone and says "HEre, this is Alfred's number, he told me to give it to you and you could let him know what times are good for you." He grins and says "Gonna fight me if I offer to pay for your dress?"
Phoebe Beacon     "Considering I had to drop my job at the coffee shop to keep up with crime fighting? Not fighting you on paying for *anything*." Phoebe confirms, and she takes a look at the number, and taking out her phone she types it in.

"One condition though. You don't get to see it until I'm ready." she jokes.
Tim Drake Tim Drake holds up his hand and says "I won't hack any camera or send out any drones to spy on you. And alfred would not tell me if I asked if you ask him not to.
