Alexis Carr     Alexis Carr, over a period of time in her life, has mastered the art of being invisible in a crowd. She was wearing a Mets ballcap, her brown hair braided, wearing a T-shirt with a bust of a notable organist with "I'LL BE BACH" on it and a pair of old jeans, leaning against one of the crowd barriers erected to keep folks in line for the carosel. She's wearing round sunglasses, mirrored and gray, and a pair of pain sneakers on her feet.
Andrea Though she may stand out for the most part, Andrea today has decided to forgo any makeup or eccentric clothing. Today she's just wearing a pair of snug jeans and a NYU hoodie over a pink top that is zipped halfway up. As she spies Alexis, she lifts a hand upwards and heads over with a smile. "Hey! There you are. Thanks for meeting me today. How're you doing?" She asks as she leans in to bump her shoulder against hers. She's wearing a pair of dark shades to keep the sun out and hopefully her appearance out of any stray cameras.
Alexis Carr     Yep. The two mutants are just two regular girls, enjoying a nice day in NYC.

Alexis Carr gives a smile, and leans against Andrea's shoulder briefly. "Hey yourself." she states to the singer, and reaching into her side bag, she produces a bottle of water.

"Congratulations are in order, but as I am but a meek and mild school teacher, I hope my deepest, heartfelt congratulations are enough for you." she jokes lightly.
Andrea Rolling her eyes upwards, Andrea lets out a soft laugh as she nudges her back. "Yeah, yeah. Such a meek and mild school teacher. In no way are you famous or rich or anyone of note." She gives a glance about the area, watching the crowds mingle about. "Thank you though. I'm excited. This album was a lot of work and almost too much of a project, but I'm glad it's done with and ready to go out the door."

There is a twitch of her lips upwards. "Sam gave me shit for one of the songs." She hums as she lifts her brows upwards. "I put it on the album with his permission. Sides, I was writing it well before we got together."
Willow Rosenberg Enter Willow. Not mutant (alas), though she has an inkling of how to do magic - beyond the generic Wiccan way. She's enjoying the weather, seeing as yesterday was stormy. Then again, she likes storms.
Alexis Carr     "Oh, was it Icarus?" Alexis inquires, and she gives aroll of her eyes. "I don't get to be rich and-or-famous until I come out of 'retirement', Andrea, and you know my father would probably produce gold bricks--" she begins, and she pauses, her eyes drawing upwards. "Ooh, no. Here comes something to ruin everyone's good day." she mutters.

There's a sandwich-board wearing man. He has FREAKS CAUSE HUMAN DESTRUCTION! scrawled on the board, and a megaphone.

"MUTANTS! WITCHES! SINNERS! YOUR SOUL IS SICK AND IN NEED OF HEALING!" he calls out over the megaphone. A couple of chess players begin to lose their trains of thought, and one angrily looks up at him.

"REPENT YOUR LIFESTYLE AND SERVE HUMANITY!"
Andrea "Hey, if your dad can shit gold bricks, that probably means /he/ is a mutant."

As the man starts to shout, Andrea peers over the top of her sunglasses towards the man, then looks over at Alexis. She starts to laugh with amusement in her voice as she leans in to bump her shoulder to hers.

"Here I thought we wouldn't get any free entertainment today." She gives a bit of a stretch, grinning to herself as she slips her phone out of her pocket and clicks the record button, then shifts it a bit to capture it. "Free content."
Willow Rosenberg Blinks blinks.. People were always running their mouths off about mutants, but rarely did they say witches, and certainly never did they put them together. Blink blink.. what was he saying? Going to hell? Willow was Jewish! They didn't even believe in hell!

She whispered to the pair of girls, close by, "He's not right in the head, is he? Do you think everyone will be okay?"
Alexis Carr     Alexis has a grim expression on her face as she watches the man, and she reaches to lower Andrea's arm. "Don't. You're going to add fuel to the fire..." she whispers, looking to Willow a moment as the other teen joins in, and she gives a slight smile.

"Nah, probably off his meds." she replies, her accent Crisp and incredibly British. She stretches her fingers, "No one's fueled by that much hate alone. Why don't you just hang out here with us a hot moment though --" she glances to Willow, and then to Andrea. "Just in case."

"REPENT YOUR LIFESTYLE AND SERVE HUMANITY! Your salvation is through service and humility! Leave your profane lives, the end is NIGH!" he calls out through the megaphone, distributing leaflets.

As he turns, the three girls may be able to see that he is armed. There's a pair of handguns tucked against his back.
Andrea Tucking her phone away after clicking it off, Andrea says, "I got enough. At least this way if something goes down, I got evidence." She offers up a grin to Willow, then goes back to casually watching the man and the crowd to see how they react.

She notices the guns with her keen sight, then gives a nudge to Alexis. "Hey, new girl." She says to Willow. "Real casual like, call 911 and say that there is a man here armed and dangerous. Make sure you do it out of sight. Don't draw attention to yourself. Do it quickly. If something goes down, we'll take care of it, okay?" She says softly to her.
Willow Rosenberg At first Willow gets the giggles, until she follows Alexis' gaze. Then she sobers.

"Um, whether or not he took his meds, he's armed. I don't like the was this is going." She looks around for a policeman, or somebody. Alexis is put on the phone, and the other girls *thinks* we'll be fine. Ha! Of course, she has spells, and unknown to herself, Andrea has something up her sleeve as well!

Willow thinks about what to do, and prepares a spell which should keep the man inside of a rectangle. She *thinks* it would be ok.. yes?
Alexis Carr     "Stay here." Alexis states, using her Very Stern Teacher Voice "The both of you." she states, and she takes her glasses off, tucking them into her shirt. "Just in case something happens, might need you on crowd control. You're taller and louder than me." She states all friendly-like to Andrea, and then she walks forward. In the sunlight, her skin gives a brief shimmer.

"Hey there, sir... mind toning down a bit? There's children about. Wouldn't want any of them to get scared, yeah? Why don't we hop off to the side, and I can buy you a hotdog. What church do you go to?" she questions gently.

"REPENT MUTANTS, WITCHES, ADULTERERS! THE END COMES TOO SOON!" the bullhorn man bellows out, before he turns and regards the approaching girl with trepedation.

"Are you coming to repent your sinner's lifestyle?" he questions.
Andrea "You know I can just make a phone call and his head would be popped like a grape from three hundred yards right?" Andrea says as she watches Alexis head off with a sigh. "... fine, I'll call 911 then." She says as she slips her phone out of her pocket and taps along the glass.

"You try and reason with people like that and they're gonna get all triggered and start throwing punches and waving a gun around." She mutters to herself as she puts the phone up to her ear. She gives a glance over towards Willow, then flashes her teeth for a brief moment in a wolfish smile.

".. Yes, Hi. We have a man here who is armed and ranting about mutants and sinners. He may have a medical condition. Can you send someone out here to do a wellness check? Sure, I'll hold."
Willow Rosenberg Oooh, that gave her a thought. Quickly she made his voice very quiet, BUT to him, it was the same. That should help them! Willow finishes the spell. Thank goodness it was only a little spell!
Alexis Carr     The 911 operators are used to calls like that, they assure the caller that someone would be by when they can.

The man is no longer loud. From their vantage point, Willow and Andrea will see Alexis lean in closer while he's no longer loud. He becomes very animated. His hands are shaking. His eyes are lighting up, and poor Alexis, the 5'2 teacher, looks taken slightly aback. Her ears get a bit red, and she draws a half-step backwards, drawing up one hand -- and then, the two of them appear to laugh.
Andrea After hanging the phone up, Andrea tucks it into her pocket, the one close to her dominant hand. She watches from behind her dark sunglasses, brows furrowing tightly. Even with the man and Alexis sharing a laugh, she is still feeling on guard. The hair on the back of her neck is sticking up.

She looks over towards Willow and hisses. "What are you doing? Voguing?"
Willow Rosenberg "Vogueing?" Blinks. "What is that? Never mind. I made him quieter, only someone isn't quite right. I don't get it." Willow shrugs, but is still trying to think about this.
Alexis Carr     The two in the park, within sight, seem all right. He's relaxed a bit. Alexis is chatting merrily with him, like old friends -- until there's a shout from someone else. Apparently, someone might have reported /the/ Andrea was in the park, because there's the wail of sirens.

Alexis balks, visibly. The sandwichboard draws one of his weapons out, and there's the ring of shots.

One, two, three, four, five six. Quick sucsession. Not really going for finess and precision here. There's smoke, sparks, people start screaming and clearing the area. Alexis is folded over in half as he turns, raising his gun into the air and emptying it. He shouts something.... but it's so very difficult to hear now.
Andrea "What do you mean you /made/ him quieter?" Andrea says with a rumble in her throat. "Why would you do anything at all when she had it handled?" The shout draws her attention first, followed by the sirens. Her nostrils give a bit of a flare. It's New York. There is always sirens.

When the man pulls his weapon and begins to fire it, she pushes Willow off to the side quickly, her movements fast as she looks to shove her behind the carosel. "Just get out of here, /now/." There is authority in her voice as she reaches up to pull her hair free of her band, letting it flop against her shoulders. "Geezus, I like this shirt." She mutters as she unzips her hoodie, lobbing it to the side as she tugs her shirt out from her pants.

"Alexis!" She calls out as she starts forward, her hands hanging loosely out at her side. "You okay?" She can hear the gun tick empty and she starts to time herself in cases he has to spring. "Hey man, just calm down. Why are you shooting up the park for? Just put the gun down, please."
Willow Rosenberg "She didn't have control. All those people were worrying. I just made him quiet in a smaller part. She should have had no problem to hear him. It was the others couldn't hear him. And I am not going to hide now!" Well, she can make the magic do her stuff. But what?
Alexis Carr     The sandwichboard is gone. He's trying to draw his other weapon, but he stops short as Alexis straightens up, a pained expression on her face, and shakes out her shirt.
There's a tumbling sound of bullets hitting the parked ground below them, and as she stands back up, giving a slight wheeze. She rolls her shoulder, and states:

"You didn't' have to shoot me." in a rather hurt expression.

... he yelps. Quietly. Hushed by one of Willow's spells, taking a few steps back in abject horror as he realizes that the woman before him didn't hardly take any damage!

"Oh, I'm fine, felt like a coupla gut-punches." the Brit replies to Andrea.

"Where's the new girl? She safe?"
Andrea "She's fine and she's an idiot. Everyone wants to be a fucking hero." Andrea says rather bluntly as she steps forward, glancing down at the bullets on the ground, then moves forward in a blur as her hands grab the man's wrists, pushing them inwards in a practiced motion. She butts the muzzle of the gun up against his stomach. She makes the move look easy. Thousands of hours working with a team will build up muscle memory.

There is a low, rumbling growl from Andrea as she jerks her head upwards, eye boring holes into him as she bares her teeth. "You pull that trigger and you'll blow your own guts out. Let go of the gun, /now/ and step away from us, or so help me, I'll make sure you see your God /real soon/."

There is something feral about her as the hair along her arms and neck stick up.
Willow Rosenberg And there it is: she wasn't helping them. Well, not by herself.

She was is no danger. Hardly. But she stayed back, just in case. After all, they were much better with bullets than she was!
Alexis Carr     "Mike was fine before he heard the sirens. We used to live in the same teen's shelter." Alexis states as she winces, and straightens up.

"Mutant... you're a *mutant*! FREAK!" Mike spews out, (at a nice easy volume of three and a half) but at andrea's heavy insistance, he drops the gun, letting it strike the ground harmlessly, looking moderately sheepish that he got beat by a bunch of girls.
Andrea Kicking the gun to the side towards Alexis, Andrea gives his wrists another hard squeeze, digging her fingers in. "Yeah, and so am I. I'm the big bad fucking wolf and I will blow your world down if I ever see your fucking face in this park again, wearing that sign, and shouting your bullshit. We are all God's children, made in his image, and I'll be damned if I let some strung out street junkie tell me otherwise, or hurt anyone. Once you're done pissing your pants, get on the ground, hands on your head and don't you fucking move."

The popstarlet is raging now and she most likely can feel the heat of many eyes upon her. This will most likely be all over the news. Great. Another call to her publicist is in her future. Once she lets him go, she takes a step back, glowering as she hears the siren's approach more closer. "You're lucky. You're at least gonna get some help. If you woulda killed my friend, you probably would be having a worse time right about now. You got your God to thank for that."
Willow Rosenberg Willow's volume slowly goes to a normal volume. After all, it's not doing anything (now). They've got under control now. Willow ponders, but with the police, and the people milling around, she decides that maybe now would be the time to sneak away quietly. After all, she didn't need the police! And she kinda got the impression the girls didn't want the take her out for celebratory coffee.. Maybe Buffy was right? She had a lot to think about.
