Owner Pose
Felicia Hardy Black Cat is used to being contacted for unusual jobs through her network. How else does an elusive cat burglar find those 'special' jobs, after all? But something about THIS one piqued her curiosity right off the bat.

In the first place, it was too normal. What sort of job starts at a townhouse in Queens, after all?

She half considers just taking a cab and showing up in sweatpants. But Felicia is a professional.

Felicia did a drive-by earlier to case the house, so tonight when she climbs the exterior brick to the third floor balcony she has a good idea of what she's getting into. The claws do their job nicely, and she hardly makes a sound when she flips over railing onto the balcony. The door lock is a simple matter, and then she's inside.
Morgana le Fay The problem with meeting a powerful sorceress...is that oh, by the way, Morgana's been waiting on Felicia. She's not bothered with the mundane security. not when the inside of the house is magically booby trapped to alert Morgana to any intruders. It's not even her house, too. Some poor New Yorker is going to come home to find their place broken into, warded, and reeking of magic...if they can smell it.

Morgana is currently sat in a chair, robes on and crown on, the chair itself is high backed and she's looking regal, watching the doorway like she's ready to blast anyone who comes through that isn't the Black Cat...
Felicia Hardy Black Cat side-steps through the gap in the curtains with hardly a noise, hardly a rustle. Just the breeze through the opened door. The black-clad burglar comes face-to-face with the ancient sorceress.

This is something new.

"Your message was pretty vague, but I wasn't expecting to meet the Queen of Queens." she offers wryly. "You asked for a meeting with the Cat, and here I am. What's on your mind?"
Morgana le Fay Morgana studies Fel a moment and stays quiet. "You didn't expect to meet me. Did you expect perhaps I'd send Mordred in my stead? No, I came here to meet you specifically. Please. Sit" she adds with a wave of her hand to a chair that's opposite her and across the fireplace too. A fireplace that springs to life as Morgana points to it.

"Now we have warnth" she says and smiles. "My message was aimed to catch your attention. I believe it did such, correct?" she asks with a glint in her eyes, the sort of glint that promises trouble and a big, big payday.
Felicia Hardy Black Cat tilts her head, the smile remaining. Padding over towards the indicated chair, her pace doesn't pause when the fireplace suddenly lights. Mordred? Really?

The leather-clad burglar settles, crossing one leg over the other as she gets comfortable. "It piqued my curiosity." she agrees. "But surely there isn't anything that a woman like you can't manage for herself." Felicia gestures vaguely towards the fireplace, as if by example.
Morgana le Fay "Unfortunately I'm a known quantity, I believe the saying is" Morgana says. Translation: I can't just turn up at a museum without people getting suspicious...Fel's less suspicious than me

"I could just take what I want but that would leave a trail and not allow others to help out and get rewarded" Morgana says evenly. "You came recommended, you 'acquire' things for a price. Money is no object and we both steal things we want. Why not help each other out?" morgana asks simply, leaning forward a tiny bit to study Felicia more.
Felicia Hardy Black Cat chuckles softly, relaxing in the chair. "So you're doing this for benevolent and charitable reasons? How touching." she replies wryly. The raised foot bobs a little while they talk. Nervous energy?

"And yes, that's what I do. For a price. I've heard the 'money is no object' pitch before, of course, but the price all depends on the object. And how badly the current owner wants to keep it."
Morgana le Fay "If by 'charitable' you mean donate to the give the fey queen powerful things fund, then yes. However..." she says and keeps an eye on Felicia with a curious look.

"I am a queen of the fey. I want to get my hands on objects of power. I'd much like to get help, and I'll make it worth your while. What if I said I could make you insanely rich, however it'd be a challenge though"

Morgana waves a hand as she looks over to Black Cat again.

"Take a guess what I would want, object wise and artifact wise?" she asks and does her best to look innocent, but she's got a nervous energy about her though as she's ever so slightly worried.
Felicia Hardy Black Cat considers for a moment, even looking thoughtful. "It's not TOO difficult, in general terms. You're pretty much all-powerful, if the stories are even half true. So if there's something you want but can't actually get for yourself, it must somehow fall outside your reach."

Felicia doesn't understand magic, but she has a pretty good intuition. And truth be told, Felicia does this more for the thrill than the money anyway.

"I couldn't begin to guess, actually. But you tell me what it is and where it is, and I'll get it for you. I'm a girl who likes a challenge."
Morgana le Fay "Alright" Morgana says and looks amused. "I want my hands on several artifacts. Like for example, King Arthur's sword" she says spitting that out and gives Felicia a quiet look. "That's just the start. You name a magical artifact, I want it" she says fiercely, and her eyes blaze with power. With that she relaxes and studies Felicia more.
Felicia Hardy Black Cat's eyes brighten through the mask and her smile becomes playful. "Of -course- you want Arthur's sword." she replies. "Something like that would probably be... difficult... for you." Felicia doesn't speculate too loudly, but she's got the basics on the whole good-evil thing. "And next would be the Holy Grail, right? I don't suppose you know *where* these artifacts might be just hanging around, or do I need to do the research as well?"
Morgana le Fay Morgana's eyes glint as Fel speaks and the fey queen actually....laughs. "I don't want the Holy Grail. That's just a show piece for good people to fawn over and live to protect. I want artefacts I can use for my isle" Morgana says plainly. Which really means for her own ends. Good thing she's hiring out the help. "I" she adds and looks regal, which...is fitting for her. "I want artefacts I can actually use, not ones that look pretty on a shelf or in a rarely visited room of a home or castle" Morgana adds. "And no, I know where Arthur's sword is. The problem is getting it and living. I've got my eye on quite a number of artefacts..." she admits with a fire in her eyes.
Felicia Hardy Black Cat pads a few steps into the room, side-stepping to keep some distance. Leaning against a side table, she folds her arms and chuckles softly. "Getting it and living? Now you're talking my language." the thief replies. Yeah, she's definitely a thrill-seeker, this one. "Tell you what, then. Let's take this on a job-by-job basis, since there's a potential mortality factor to be considered. That work for you?"
Morgana le Fay Morgana rises to her feet and watches Fel pad on in. Looking over the masked thief, the fey queen produces asheet of paper from her robes and hands it over, neatly folded. "This is a contract between us. You get the artefacts in question, and you get rewarded for it" she says. As if she's explaining a contract or something. The terms in fact are what Morgana states. No trickery from her, which is rare. Well, aside from the whole being under contract to Morgana thing, should Fel sign it part that is.
Felicia Hardy Black Cat accepts the paper and reads it. Then she holds it up to the light, as if expecting something so mundane from the sorceress. Folding it back neatly once more, she slips it into her abundant cleavage. "I'll sign it after the first job." she declares. "You'll forgive me if I'm a little bit cautious about signing contracts with someone of your reputation." The thief takes a step back, then, towards the balcony. "You know how to contact me. Send me the details on the first job and we'll go from there."
Morgana le Fay Morgana is full of tricks really, the contract isn't trapped or tricked with magic, no. She does know how t oget a hold of Fel, yes..and she looks over to the thief, then nods. "Fair enough" she says as she's gone. Destination, Avalon...
Felicia Hardy Black Cat blinks. One moment the sorceress is there and the next, she's gone. "Nice trick, that." she offers to herself. Side-stepping out through the balcony doors, leaving the town house is quickly accomplished. Felicia has a lot to think about.
