Owner Pose
Double Dare The performance went off without a hitch. Their new trick had slayed. Not literally. But the triple off the trapeze to the silks to slide down to the ground as though they were crashing only to stop at the last second had the crowd eating out of their hands.

The party after was always a good one. The performers would start it while the rest of the crew worked on clean up. The next morning would be checking all the equipment and fully resetting for the next night.

For now, they are in the back at the lot that housed their trailers. It was like a big street party, but the area was fenced and had one gate that allowed entry, which was monitored.

Drinks were flowing freely and the music was loud. The area was filled with the various artists from the show, some still in costume like the sisters, Margot and Aliki. Others had already changed into regular clothes. A few were even in pajamas.
Phobos     He hadn't been able to make it to the show, though he had tickets at times given. But this night he had told them that he was going to be in New York, to talk to his father, to straighten things out. Hopefully all would be good when he got back, and so the show had to go on.
And on it went, without a hitch a'tall and exquisitely so.
A pity he had missed it, more fun assuredly then making sure his father remembered to eat, even if it was only to keep up appearances since he had no /real/ need to. But a foreman who never ate did draw a curious look now and again. So now, mission accomplished.
Yet it left Alexander to make the long trek back to Gotham, though the actual trip wasn't hugely long it was more making the connecting trains and getting through all the hub bub. At least here he was now, stopping at the entrance to that trailer area where their gear is stored and that one gate allows people access.
Up to the one keeping watch walked Alexander, hands in the pockets of his jeans and his over-sized black t-shirt with the Team Banzai log in orange, yellow and red, prominent. He stepped up and said, "Hi, I'm here to see Aliki and Margot."
Double Dare The guy at the gate wasn't brawny or intimidating in any way. He was just a regular looking fellow who was getting paid to keep people from bothering the acts inside. He was unarmed, just a canister of some sort of chemical agent on his duty belt.

As Alexander approached, he looked him over briefly. "Name?"

He pulled out a pretty beaten up clipboard, scanning down it by running his finger down the list of names. They were people from the business and once he found that, he would be able to find the name of anyone they authorized.
Phobos     A small smile settled on Alexander's lips as he murmurs, "If it's on there it's probably at the top," Then he leans forward a little as if to peer before he says lightly, "Alexander Aaron." Since he has been so blessed with such an august name.
But as he waits for the man to check the list and consider he looks past him, trying to espy those at the celebration, the mingling of civilians and circus folk, always an interesting thing. And oh man there was that contortionist gal... what was her name? She'll get mad if he's forgotten...
But then he looks back to the man checking his list and smiles lightly. "I think they're over there if you wanna just like, yell to them." Since that could probably work.
Double Dare As Alexander tries to peek over at the clipboard, the man jerks it away from his line of sight and narrows his eyes. "Don't get cheeky. I get paid to do one thing and I'm going to do it!"

He goes back to looking over the list.

Over at the gathering, the sisters have drinks in their hands. Margot has a glass of water. Aliki has a bottle of beer. Then the younger sister spies him. "Alexandahr!" And suddenly two wild women are charging his direction.

"You're good," the guard says, a little too late. As he says it, Aliki is leaping to wrap her legs around Alexander's waist, arms around his shoulders and planting a big kiss on his lips. Margot arrives at a quick walk but is not quite as exuberant as her sister. Though she does claim her own kiss, once he parts from Aliki enough for her to do so, even if he's still holding her sister wrapped around him.

"Some guys have all the luck," the guard mutters, going back to looking at his phone.
Phobos     The blond Olympian had started to step past the doorman even before he had given his say so, but luckily Aliki is there to assure him with her leap and embrace that indeed Alexander had come to the right place. For he laughs as suddenly the shorter acrobat has hold of him and he is returning her kiss with a great affection in between laughs shared, shifting her gently to his hip as he holds an arm around her waist, which lets him in turn lean toward Margot to greet her with a kiss as well.
"It is good to see you both." He smiles as he looks at Aliki's beer, "Get me one of those? Or will you share?" Even as he steals another small kiss at the corner of her mouth.
But when he has a chance he'll take Margot's hand and draw her into an embrace as well. "How did the show go? Were you as amazing as always?" Perhaps loud enough for Aliki to hear, but said louder if she's rushing off to retrieve a beer or a drink.
Double Dare "You take this. I will get another," Aliki offers, hopping down off his hip and rushing off to get the required beverages. Since she's going to get a couple for both of them.

Margot slides her hand into his, then moves into his embrace as her sister rushes off. "It was a wonderful show. We premiered a new trick. Wish you could have made it," Margot says honestly, stealing another quick kiss before settling in to talk properly. "Did all go well with your Papa?"
Phobos     A small twitch touches Alexander's lip as he starts a smile and then looks away. Shaking his head he looks back to her and murmurs, "A little too well, actually." He squeezes her hand and starts to walk along with her back towards the direction Aliki went.
As he walks he will offer smiles to the other circus folk who meet his gaze, and even lifts a hand in greeting to the strong man who had been so key in preventing a huge ruckus from breaking out the night they had been at the soiree. But his attention is mainly on Margot, though he spares a wide smile for Aliki when she wanders back.
"I talked you both up to him, spoke about how it was for the best that you returned the artifacts and you did nothing to earn his anger. But..."
A deep breath is taken, "Now he wants to meet you..." And when Aliki is near enough he adds, "Both."
Double Dare Aliki has managed to carry three beers. She knows there wasn't much left in the one she had given to him. Thus, he will need another in a few minutes. Then she has hers. She sets the extra on a nearby stack of crates that are by one of the trailers.

"He wants to meet us?" Margot seems very surprised. After all, it isn't the most normal of situations. Most parents would be unlikely to be supportive of it. Add in he had warned his family was a bit strange in the past when they talked. Stranger than circus so that was saying something.

Aliki shook her head vehemently. "Non. We do not do parents. He would want to know which of us and then you would have to explain both."

"It could lead to a lot of difficulties for you," Margot added, squeezing his hand gently. "Perhaps another time."

"Or never."
Phobos     "Well," Alexander starts out to say, not offering too many details at first. "We didn't make any plans to talk, or for like having dinner or anything." The youth's smile is a little wry, but weirdly enough he finds himself worried about what they might think. What they might say. Which is new ground for him in some ways.
For a moment he looks around the place and then smiles as he picks up the new beer Aliki had gotten him, tossing the empty into one of the large waste bins nearby as he begins to walk past. "Come with me?" He asks, not that there are prying eyes nor listening ears, but there are. Just more perhaps it is a conversation to be had with some privacy.
And should they so walk with him he'll move to the outskirts of the crowd, the edge of it where he takes up a place standing near the rear corner of one of the trailers. A sip of beer is taken then he smiles to them both. Eventually he tells them, "The difficulties we'd have with my father are not ones you are likely imagining. He is... a different sort. But in all honesty, my dears... the time for difficult choices may be upon us."
As he says that he smiles to Aliki and says, "I know this likely bothers you so, my dear mercurial Aliki, but it is only fair to you." Margot, somehow he thinks she might be more strong in this regard.
Double Dare When he makes the suggestion, the sisters share a glance at one another then nod in unison and follow along with him. Aliki is to his left, Margot on the right. Aliki slips her arm around his waist but Margot holds his hand.

The spot he finds is very quiet, away from the bustle of the party but without seeming unusual were they to go completely out of sight.

"This sounds serious," Margot says softly, turning her gaze up to him to focus clearly. The idea that his father would be okay with him dating two women at once, especially sisters, seemed absurd. There were not a lot of people in this country that would be support their son. At the word choice, she makes sure to keep the curious expression. She knows how to put in a show and this is a moment it feels called for.

"Unless the choice is all the choices, I do not think I will like this," Aliki said with a little pout. "We are too new for difficult choices."

"Let him explain, Aliki."
Phobos     Settling there with Aliki at his side, and Margot holding his hand, Alexander spares a small smile for the older sister, appreciating her willingness to hear him. He gives her hand a squeeze then looks to Aliki and he says gently, "It is because I've come to value you both that I felt it best to speak openly to you about a lot of things. I know it may be early in a way, but better now than later on when perhaps we are very entwined of each others' hearts and all, yes?"
A look back to Margot when he smiles a little and says gently, "Better to know what we're all getting into." So he takes a deep breath and looks thoughtful, then decides to embark on the reasons he has to give before them. "My father is, indeed, not an ordinary individual. I told you about my family being kind of crazy. Well he's no exception in some ways."
A tilt of his head is given, "He does not care what choices I make where the heart is concerned, only that those I'm with are... worthy in some ways. Which hey, right, all normal fathers are like that. But yeah, not normal. It'd be possible he'd stick his nose into things, poke around, and for most dads that wouldn't be a big deal. But because of who he is, it becomes a big deal."
Double Dare "Your Papa is crazy? All the more reason not to meet him."

"Aliki!"

"What? It's the truth!"

Margot looks like she is ready to hide her face in her hand as she tries to deal with what can be going through her sister's head sometimes. "Alexandahr, I am sorry for my sister. She is an idiot." There is no response from the younger at that so Margot continues. "So the concern is that he will try to interfere in our lives if he doesn't feel we are worthy of your attention?"
Phobos     "Well," Alexander says, "It is more I should explain things. But for me to explain leads to a lot of... things that may be dangerous for you. My life is not entirely simple, though I mean... yours isn't either." His lip twists.
"Just more, that I need to know how you feel about me. If it is strong enough you want to risk all of this... madness that I shall tell you, in exchange for the enjoyment we have being together." There's a small smile there, but it is also one resigned in some ways, as if knowing that they might well decide to not push further in life with him.
"Because if you wish then I will wander off and you won't see me again. But if we decide to continue on, then I figure it's best you know the truth."
A small smirk is given as he looks over at Aliki, "About me and my crazy papa." He says adopting Aliki's accent for the last two words.
Double Dare At mention of him walking away to never be seen again, he will feel that tightening of strong fingers around his hand. Yet, Margot doesn't let it show, keeping her poker face.

"We like you. We have fun with you. That is all that matters," is Aliki's summation. For her, it is that simple. There might be feelings there but they are still developing as they are new for the sisters.

Margot seems to consider a long moment, "Admittedly, I like you a lot, Alexandahr. You are someone who seems to actually want to know us as people, not just enjoy our company. Or the novelty of what we do for a living. You have accepted how we live. What we do for our life. And for our excitement."

She glances to her sister and then they both look up at him. Open. Curious. "We like a good thrill so let's go forward," she finally says as Aliki nods, supporting her sister's choice.
Phobos     "Very well," Alexander says with only a small hint of trepidation. Only a year and some back from the wilds of where he spent with his father, fighting a war that neither of them wished to partake of, it did not give him the tools to handle a situation like this. So he approaches it as he can, attacking it like a military problem and solving it as he can.
"My family is very old, and they have a lot of money and power. But you know what they say about power, it corrupts and all. Well." He draws his lower lip between his teeth and then says, "Well my family is one of the oldest and most powerful. So much so that they're... sort of like..."
A moment as he ponders for a proper allegory, then he smiles a little and says, "Well, you know Thor, right?" Always the go to when one has to broach certain topics.
"My family is sort of like that. Connected to old powers, and magics, and because of that most of them are... well. Immortal." He pauses for a moment knowing this can't be helping hugely.
"What I'm trying to say is that they're..." Another term perhaps flirts with his thoughts, but instead of using that one he instead just says what might communicate the best with the young women before him. "They're gods. Maybe to some people they're the first mutants, or to others they're like aliens or spirits or something. But to me they're just dad, and aunts, and uncles, and grandpa and grandma."
Double Dare Blink.

Long seconds pass as the two of them stare up at him, the confusion easily read in their expressions.

Blink.

It's as though they are waiting for more. Something else. Finally they stop staring at him to look at each other. And Aliki is speaking to her sister, in French.

"Do you think we broke him?"

Margot makes sure to answer in the same language. "I do not think so. We haven't been able to break him. He gets better very quickly when we do," she muses, glancing over at him as they confer like he isn't just /right there/. "Perhaps he is telling the truth?"

"You think he is really from the gods? Like Hercules and Thor?" Aliki asks, keeping to her native tongue. "He certainly looks the part."

"Stranger things have happened. Ask for proof?"

"No, then it ruins the fantasy if it turns out he's crazy." Aliki's grin is a little cheeky.

Since they have come to a consensus, the pair turn back to him, synchronized like they often are. Margot speaks for them, back in English this time. "Okay, so you are descended from gods. Which ones? Are they ones we would know or some random cult out of the midwest of this country, created by fraternities in their dorms?"
Phobos     A small smirk comes from him and he folds his arms over his chest, expression sort of amused but also a little annoyed since how dare they question him, but then again what did he expect? He shifts his weight to the other foot and says, "You know I didn't have to do this. I coulda just kept on keepin' on and been all, 'oh dear such strange things are happening around us, I wonder what could be the cause of it? And then you'd be all puzzled and not knowing. But noooo, I tell you the truth and you're all butts about it."
But as he says that his grin is wry, crooked as if not entirely believing they are butts. He looks to the side and considers the trailer they're standing behind, that small sliver of privacy they had stolen from the crowd and he tilts his head.
"Is anyone in there?" He points at the trailer...
Double Dare "Non, that is Charlie's trailer. He's over there." Aliki points toward the big party to one of the dwarfs, his clown makeup still on his face as he parties with the others by the bonfire. He at least had changed clothes, just hadn't bothered with the remover since it took more time and he wanted to get his party on.

Margot reaches over and opens the door, taking the steps to get in. Aliki follows.

The interior isn't completely tidy. Pieces of costumes are strewn about, clothing here or there. It wasn't dirty but it was obvious he wasn't worried about hanging things up and lived out of his clothes hamper when he could. The only exception was the small kitchen area which was pristine with fancy pans at hand since he loved to cook and, if they were to go that far, his bedroom area where his costumes got taken care of like a pampered pet.
Phobos     As for Alexander he doesn't actually go in there, he follows with them and then steps over to the front where the hook is and then leans forward to /tap-tap-tap/ upon the window and get them to look out at him...
And when they do he smiles, waves, and then reaches down with one hand to the hitch, curling his fingers underneath it and shifting his grip to just his index and middle finger, meets their gaze. And with them still in it they'll see him tense his forearm, grimace for a moment and the suddenly...
The trailer lurches up into the air by a foot... two feet, holding there as the entire thing shifts to about a twenty degree angle and things inside roll on the shelves. Then with a slowness he eases the trailer back down so it lands with a thumpf.
And with that he steps back and away, then steps around to the door, pulling it open then.
Double Dare There is a faint squeak from inside from one of the sisters as he picks up the trailer. They hold their balance easily. It's just the surprise of the situation. They do their best to keep things from moving around too much. Once he sets it back down and opens the door, he finds himself 'monkeyed' by Aliki. That leapt out and wrapping all her limbs around him to cling. "Alexandahr! You should be the strong man! Much prettier!"

Margot takes a moment to try to fix what she can in the trailer, so it won't look completely crazy in there. Charlie might be mad. Only then does she come out. "Impressive. Convincing. Strength. Healing. Immortality you mentioned for your family so that is the same for you? You will never age?" It sounds a bit deeper than their usual questions.
Phobos     Stepping back from the door when an Aliki comes /shooting/ out of the trailer and leaps onto him, he catches her and supports her on his hip like so many good monkey-keepers do laughing and giving her a small kiss on her cheek as he looks across the way at Margot. "There's a lot more to it, but this is just..." He looks back and over his shoulder, which brings him close enough to steal another small smooch from Aliki...
"Just what we can do in public I guess. But my dad..." He shifts his weight a little to more easily hold onto the acrobat while he chats with her and her sister. "Used to go by the name Ares, nowadays it's John Aaron. But yeah. God of War. I'm... his son, Phobos. Which is god of fear."
His lip twists, "So you see, not something to mess with when a lot of people are around, right?"
Double Dare Margot steps out of the door, glancing over at Aliki sitting on Alexandar's hip. She has a rueful grin on her face, shaking her head a bit. "I think Aliki is excited."

"Oui!" As though Aliki needed to verbalize. Now that she knows he is stronger, she's keeping her legs wrapped around him. After all, she doesn't have to worry about him getting tired. "He's a god. I don't care if he is the god of prawns, he is still a god."

"God of Fear." Margot considers that as she says it, moving to his other side to be certain she gets a kiss as well. Aliki shouldn't get all of them. "So our scares in the act likely do not scare you?" She is trying to focus on little things. The big picture is just too scary right now.
Phobos     "Yeah," Alexander looks past Aliki for a moment, meeting Margot's gaze as he says with a small smile, though a hint of reluctance, knowing that such revelation might have its own aspect of trepidation there. But he does hold a hand out to her and when she draws close enough he leans in for the kiss. A small squeeze of her hand is given as he murmurs, "C'mon, we'll go somewhere we can talk more about it."
And with that he starts to walk back to the front of the gathering, still carrying Aliki and holding Margot's hand.
