Lex Luthor The Nexus of the Light has been in operation for almost two years now, with people who know about it steadily increasing. It is, by all accounts, an incredibly advanced and secure island with weather control and concealment methods of various sorts used.

You don't get to be here unless you were told about it... and that's by referral from a Council member only. It's one of the most secure locations on Earth; for good reason.

This is the one location on Earth the organization as a whole has for open socializing and planning.

Lately, the Light have been a bit more active as a group, with the Peacekeeper threat dealt with. Now, things are quiet again, and the organization has a whole has been...sussing out plans. The endgoal remains the same, but the journey to it is always under discussion.

Today, Lex has taken a break from administrating the LexCorp Empire and is putting in a rare appearance on the Nexus proper. With Mercy and Hope flanking, he's actually taking a break to talk to various agents and Councilors in person, instead of over holocall. Being the unofficial leader/Speaker for the Council, Lex tends to put in these appearances around once a month.
Magneto     Magneto has arrived recently, but today he is more Erik Lehnsherr rather than Magneto. He has done without the purple cape and helmet donning instead a tailored silver gray suit with thin, dark pinstripe. It has obviously been fitted for him as it tapers to his waist. He is not an every day visitor either, but today felt like a good time to leave his island nation for a moment or two. He is over at the bar getting a glass of dark liquor as his eyes move around the room noting Lex's arrival with a nod.
Bullseye     Leaning against a far wall away from most of the hustle and bustle is Bullseye in full mercenary regalia. He doesn't do well with small talk, and certainly isn't the type to mingle with others for the hell of it, but when the boss calls --- you answer. About most of the way into the cigarette dangling from his mouth, he takes one last drag before noting Lex's arrival and flicks it effortlessly into a garbage receptacle a good thirty-five feet away. A target's a target.
Mercy Graves Close at his side, on his right hand as ever, is Mercy Graves. The woman's in a well tailored black suit today, the faintest pin stripes running through the fabric, perfectly matched at darts and seams, especially around the double breasted pearl buttons. It's simple, unremarkable, but a masterpiece of bespoke fashion in it's subtle lines and the quiet accommodations it makes for her multiple weapons hidden beneath. The pencil skirt occasionally just hints at the top of black lace on her thigh highs, the slit up it's side made either scandalously high, or high enough that she has a full range of motion when she needs to fight.

She speaks quietly as they make their way across the room. "Erik Lehnsherr and the assassin known as Bullseye are both with us today. As far as I know, this is the first time Mr. Lehnsherr has left Genosha in some time. He's drinking a Lagavuln 30 year. Bullseye's last assignment for the light was two weeks ago and he finished the matter without any clean up needed 24 hours earlier than expected." The reports are both helping prepare Lex, but the second one is high praise on Mercy's part. "...even if he still has the somewhat dirty habit of smoking." She murmurs as she eyes that trick of the cigarette.
Lex Luthor "It's been a while, yes. Can't say I blame him much with the reputation. I agreed to the trade deal as much for Genosha as the man himself, after all." Lex mutters as he approaches the bar. "Good afternoon, Erik. We should talk a bit about long term, if you're considering getting back out into the world again. Are you?" Lex asks, respectfully. Lex has never been one to impose about fellow Councilors; they're all their own leaders in a confederation of mutual self-interest, after all.

Then, he glances to Bullseye, "Are you available for long term operations?" He looks back to Magneto, "Now that things are quiet and we have a strong foundation here, I'd like for us to begin to infiltrate SHIELD and see what we should start dismantling to expand our influence."
Magneto     "Lex," Erik says in greeting as Luthor approaches. He holds his scotch in his right hand while resting it on the bar. "I am. It has been far too long since I made myself known. Genosha can be simply too far off the beaten path to really make a difference that I would want to make. I am always ready to listen to what you have to say." He lifts the drink to take a sip as Luthor addresses Bullseye. His eyes travel to the assassian with a measured glance. He meets Lex's eyes once more as the man mentions SHIELD. "The self styled world police force does need an eye placed upon it."
Bullseye     Bullseye can't help but peer over at Magneto. It's not too often you get to see the Master of Magnetism in the flesh --- enjoying some damn fine scotch, no less. Hearing Lex address him, though, the mercenary stands at attention. The last job for the Light was a fun one, if incredibly disappointing for its lack of body count, but his bank account ain't complaining. He hears Lex mention SHIELD and a "long-term operation," however, and his mouth curls into a devious smirk. "Big Brother could use a reality check, yeah," he says, with a nod of acknowledgement to Lensherr's comment. He turns back to Lex, "But what exactly are we talkin' 'bout, here?"
Mercy Graves Mercy doesn't quite come to sit yet, but lingers at Magneto's side. She gives both of their companions a respectful smile and a slight tilt of her head before grabbing her LexPhone, a slim black thing with near indestructible screen, and pulling up a bit more information. Both Magneto and Bullseye are sent the current SHIELD file, though it's a little slim compared to some last updates. "Our most recent information on SHIELD has been mostly quiet other than some familiar faces returning to the fold. It appears their Ex-Director, Margaret Carter, has been sighted in service again, along with the asset known as Winter Soldier. SHIELD's focus seems distracted on mainly hunting more HYDRA operatives. I've sent our updated files to you in secured communications."r
Then Mercy realizes that, while she's often been at Lex's side, it's rare she's given introductions. Whatever her place in the organization is these days, it seems she's confident to offer simply, "I am Mercy Graves. You all know you can contact me at any time for questions about our arrangements for our mutual benefits..."
Lex Luthor "HYDRA is a good distraction. We can use that. Give some operatives HYDRA gear and clothing for those times we go in hot and destroy SHIELD assets and know there will be eyes on." Lex sits down, ignoring Mercy. This is an old dance for them. Wasting time is not something Lex likes to do, and this is the first time Erik has been available for a real strategy session in a while. "Misdirection is to our advantage, and I have no reason to expose us to their agents just yet."

He takes a tablet and begins running his fingers over it in a practiced motion, "I have some ideas on which outposts to deal with first. We especially need to divert their attention away from the local government."
Selina Kyle Catwoman is in her costume, being paranoid even around supposed allies. Go figure, she's not yet sure she trusts anyone with her true persona. She arrives fashionably late, dressed in black leather and sticking to the shadows as she peers around the area, taking everything in..

Of course she met Lex in person at the gala and has at least heard of his bodyguards. Eyes narrow as she sizes them up, trying to figure out which isMercy Graves, whom she worked with recently.

And of course there are others here. Gaze sweeps over Bullseye and Magneto too, smiling a wary, reserved but polite enough smile and nod at both as she too, heads for the bar to order some white dry wine.
Magneto     "I have little use for HYDRA and their Nazi roots," Erik says with a shake of his head. "I would not allow any of mine to put on those rags." His voice doesn't go up, but there is a hard edge to it none the less. "I fully support misdirection and red herrings, but not with HYDRA." He turns to look at Mercy as she introduces herself. He gives her a nod in greeting. "Ms Graves. I do have your information. Thank you." He turns his head at the sound fo Catwoman's voice and gives her also a welcoming nod before looking back to Lex. "I am interested in which area you feel is the most vulnerable or important."
Bullseye     Try as he might, the assassin can't help but roll his steely eyes. Fuckin' HYDRA. But, hey, using the weak to benefit the strong has always been an airtight business tactic --- especially from his usual clients in Fisk, Silvermane, and the like. He rubs at his stubbled chin for a moment, his eyes now diverting to Mercy and then eventually Catwoman --- huh, haven't seen this broad before. Reading the room, however, he gives her a quick upward nod of his head while also quietly taking note of Magneto's reluctance to work with Nazis. Hmm. Good to know.

"Look, whatever you need, brother," he soon offers to Lex in his confident, gravelly voice. "You point the way, I'll make things go boom."
Mercy Graves As Catwoman has arrived in her costume, Mercy doesn't reveal her identity. She's respectful like that. But greets smoothly, "Catwoman. It's good to see you again. The other week's operation was a pleasure." And there, that answers that question, as if Mercy anticipated it on the air before it was ever voiced. Mercy really is that talented a second in command. The sort of assistant who's good at simply predicting what people will need. "I've sent you the files as well, on the SHIELD discussions we're having."

Then Mercy is quiet. She still doesn't sit, ready to get anything someone else might need. She's not as tense as she normally is in the outdoors world, looking for constant threats. Apparently, she genuinely trusts they are all safe in this place. But it doesn't stop her blue eyes from leaving her phone to scan the room now and then.
Lex Luthor "That's perfectly fine. The intention would be to cover up our involvement and trick SHIELD into stepping up their operations on HYDRA, a win win for all, and I'll make a note that you will come into the operation in other capacities." Lex glances to Mercy, "We need scouts to start following their obvious assets." He looks to Magneto again, "Can your people start working on a map of bases for us to start looking into? Catwoman should be able to infiltrate from there."

Then, his eyes go back to Bullseye, "I'm going to want to start capturing agents too, and that's where you'll come in."
Selina Kyle Catwoman smiles charmingly at Magneto, of whom she has heard of but never met. He sure strikes a dramatic figure, even without the purple and red costume. "Lord Magneto..It is an honour to meet you in person." she nods appraising it, lifting her glass to him as she crosses her legs, listening in on the current topic.

"HYDRA hmm? I would think they are a bit less..Tasteful than present company."of course she is not sure if she trusts anyone here yet either.

She nods to Bullseye and smirk, "Mr Bullseye I presume, a pleasure to meet you as well..And of course I have already met you, Ms. Graves, it is a pleasure to meet you in person.l"

Cats quirks a curious brow at her mention of SHIELD though, peering between her and Lex, bowing her head in greeting to the latter as well. "An infiltration operation into SHIELD? Sounds..Fun.." she smiles wickedly, licking her lips. Ooh she can just imagine all the priceless info and technology that might be gleaned from that place.
Magneto     "Certainly," Erik says with a nod. "It is an advantage of knowing many telepaths." He offers up a slight smile and takes another sip of his drink. He watches Catwoman and Bullseye, having never met them, and attempting to get a read and impression on the two of them. As he is addressed by Catwoman, he gives a deeper bow of his head, tilting his shoulders slightly with it. "Please. Call me Erik while we are here at the Nexus. The overly dramatic is good for out there, of course, but I do not need to stand on ceremony." He looks towards Bullseye. "And for you as well. We are allies here."
Bullseye     Both Catwoman and Erik's politeness aren't visibly acknowledged by the merc as Lex's words wash over Bullseye for a moment. Capture?! Alright, alright --- baby steps, here. There's a method to Lex's madness, even if Bullseye's forte is wanton destruction, and they can't blow their wad too soon. Let's just chalk this up to an overenthusiastic vigor for "the cause," whatever the hell that is.

He narrows his eyes while mulling over his assignment, and tilts his head, a slightly puzzled expression soon forming on his face. "Obviously, I'm in, but, uh... just for the record, here. Am I doing this on my terms, or am I getting saddled with a team?"
Mercy Graves "Obvious assets. Any known agent, then, or do you have a preference for whom I have tailed, sir?" Mercy's not annoyed in the least by the diving into work, it seems. Her phone has been out since they started and now she's fully casting blue eyes over it instead of out into the room as she starts taking smoothly swiped notes.

A silent, single gesture of her hand gets a waiter's attention and she motions for another round of drinks for the table (or a first one, where Bullseye and Catwoman are concerned) before she goes back to taking her notes. It's like watching a piano player with two different melody lines, Mercy making certain that business and pleasure weave together without distracting from one and other int he least. "...Erik, then. I'll get the 50 year on order for your next visit." She smiles to him. Yes, she knows what he drinks.
Lex Luthor "Your own terms. The more destruction you cause to SHIELD, the better. The capture is the primary objective, of course... but the less presence SHIELD has in general, the better for us." Lex confirms for Bullseye.

Then, there's a look at Mercy, "Not especially. I am very interested to know if Doom has any bases hidden on his land. He seems an obvious target."
Selina Kyle Catwoman hmms, "So..What exactly will my job be?" she takes slow thoughtful sips every so often, nodding slowly to Magneto as he asks to be called by his real name instead. But most of her focus is in Lex right now. "Do you need me to steal information..Technology..?" presumably all this will be included in the files that Mercy has sent her but Cats would still like an overview of some sort.
Magneto     Erik settles in his seat as the next round is brought. He nods to the server and then to Mercy about ordering the scotch. "Thank you," he says to both before listening to the plan from Lex.
