Colin King Colin King, MI-6's latest contribution to SHIELD, has been settling in, of sorts, to life at the Triskelion. It isn't his ideal, of course. Far from it. He misses the dimly lit corridors of King's Castle, and the feeling of comforting isolation that comes with it. Here, the notorious lone wolf feels almost claustrophobic with the sheer proximity of other people.

But he doesn't let it on. No no. He puts on a good show, all smiles and twinkling blue eyes as he passes people in the halls. And that's what he's doing now, gym bag in hand, wearing black shorts and a simple purple tank, and trainers on his feet. Acting as if he might actually belong here. A nod there. A wave here.

But he still doesn't quite have his bearings. As he wanders the maze of halls in the Rec area, looking for the gymnasium, he does start to look just a bit lost...
Mockingbird Bobbi. Mockingbird, call her what you will, she's here in sneakers, or trainers for the Brits, casual sweat pants and a t-shirt, her hair's down and she's got a smirk once. Which usually means she's off the clock, and she's about to be sassy and trouble for her employers. Currently she's in the res/rec area, just milling about. Tere's a datapad in her hands, but it's got a video on it. Not SHIELD related in the least, more she's catching up with watching things. She is, thankfully...wearing headphones, but...
Clint Barton Coming in the same direction as Colin, Clint notices him walking just ahead. Jogging just enough to reach him, a large hand falls on Colin's shoulder.

"Hey there Colin!" Clint grins, "Glad to see you ain't lost in the basement!"

Clint keeps walking and glancing around, and eventually notices Mockingbird.

"C'mon', let's go meet Birdie," he tells Colin.
Colin King "Excuse me," Colin calls out towards Bobbi, raising a hand and gesturing in her general direction to try to draw her attention from her video, knowing well that she has earphones in. He's just about to try to speak up when he hears the sound of Clint's voice greeting him.

"Clint, fancy seeing you here," Colin remarks, turning his attention, briefly, away from the blonde lady in the hall. With a wry grin, Colin confesses, "I've still not gotten my bearings on this place yet, it would appear."

When Clint mentions "Birdie", Colin's thin dark brows hike upwards. He gives a faint scoffing chuckle and says, "I think women object to being called "bird" these days, mate. But is this a friend of yours? Because..."

The expression on Colin's face says it all.

"Right then."
Mockingbird Bobbi pulls out an earbud and doesn't set the video playing. Instead...she gives Colin a look and Clint gets a droll "Tweet, tweet" as greeting. Colin does though get a slight nod. "Yes? What can I help you with? And I swear, if you've really been down in the basement I will have to talk with you about it" she says, "No. Clint. No corrupting the newer agents" she adds, signing it in ASL just to drive the point home...but her eyes show she's joking around with them.

"You think I object to being called bird? Nah. This guy gets away with it. It's part of who I am" Bobbi points out with a wry grin.
Clint Barton Clint sports that famous grin of his. It's one of his charming traits that Mockingbird loved so much - and maybe still does.

"Don't worry, Colin," he says, "She's been called worst, trust me, mostly by guys on the ground with a couple broken bones," he pauses then adds in, chuckling, "Plus, she's my ex."

Smiling at Bobbi, he adds, "It's good to see you. And no corruptin', promised!"

IN ASL, he adds *YET*.
Colin King "No worries. I grew out of my basement dwelling stage in my preteens. Early bloomer," Colin returns to Bobbi with a cockeyed smile. A glance is tossed in Clint's direction when she remarks about corrupting new agents, and he can't suppress a short laugh that escapes him. "Him? Corrupt me? I think you should worry far more about the things I might introduce him to."

The revelation about her being Clint's ex makes this interaction all the more amusing, and make all the more sense. He gives a nod of recognition, taking a moment to appraise the both of them. Perhaps reading their body language and taking the measure of their current relations. "Well... can't say that Clint doesn't have good taste, at least. I'm learning more every day."
Mockingbird Bobbi laughs, "True, I have a havit of running my mouth and backing it up with action...so..." Bobbi admits with a sheepish smi. "Though, what can I help with?" she adds to Colin then gives Clint a look, before grinningg and shaking her head at him, earbuds both out now. "Wait, you're introducing him to British things? I have to see this" Bobbi giggles and sets the tablet down, "I'm Bobbi Morse. Or, Mockingbird. Nice to meet you" she says offering a hand to Colin.
Clint Barton Clint's body language would reveal that he is perfectly at ease with Bobbi and that no kind of tension whatsoever exists between them.

Raising both hands up in mock defence, he laughs, "Hey! I can learn! Brit's ain't that bad, as long as no one tries to poison me with tea!"

Hawkeye is, too, a keen observer. If he's going to spar with Colin, he might as well study his opponent. Even non-combat stances can be meaningful.

Turning to Colin, he states, with a hint of a friendly challenge in the voice, "I've got my katana and sai ready, whenever ye're up for a round."
Colin King "Well, we all have our vices," Colin replies to Bobbi's quip about her habits, his smile rooted firmly in place. The recurring question of what she can help him with does spark a shock of recognition in him, and he gives a bit of a start before shrugging his broad shoulders and just saying, "I was just a bit lost, but it seems I have my trusty tour guide at hand."

With that, Colin reaches out and gives Clint's shoulder a friendly slap. After Clint remarks about having his weapons ready, Colin's smile practically grows from ear to ear. "And it seems he's all too eager to be schooled."

His fingers give a playful squeeze at Clint's shoulder before his hand drops to extend out towards Bobbi. "Colin King. I'm a bit of a loaner from MI-6. Agent Ninja K. Charmed."

Looking sidelong at Clint, Colin says, "I've got a couple of boken in my duffle. Might be better to knock the rust off with wood rather than steel, don't you think?"
Skye Johnson Skye almost walked right on by the room.

"Oooh what have we here?" The boys were fighting for Bobbi? This she has to see.

She stood by the door and smirked until somebody noticed her.
Mockingbird Bobbi does notice Skye and wiggles her fingers in a wave., glancing from Clint to Colin to the door, and doesn't say a word...for a moment. "Hey Skye, you watching me be trouble again?" Bobbi asks with a wicked grin. "I'm off the clock, what're you up to?" she asks shaking her head to Skye with a knowing smile...then nods to Clint and Colin.
Clint Barton If Colin was an enemy, Clint would just tell him that the only rust around could be found on his katana. Supreme insult. Instead, Clint chuckles at the idea of using wooden katanas.

"Right, boken will be safer..." he replies, adding a nice, "For you!"

Challenge issued! By the tone in Clint's voice, it's obviously all in jest.

And since he's Hawkeye, noticing everyone around is a second nature. Skye's presence isn't lost to him, and with a waving hand, he beacons her toward the small group with Bobbi and Colin.

Glancing over at Colin, hopefully locking eyes with him as he says, "You know Skye, right?" which, among guys, conveys a subtile *off limit* friendly notification.
Skye Johnson Leaving her post by the door, Skye laughs. "Are you ever not in trouble? Have you met Colin?"

Once in the room proper, she pretends to talk in a whisper to Bobbi, "Who do you think shall win, and are you taking on the winner?" Skye blows a kiss over in the direction of the men. Really to stir things up.

"So," she mutters to Bobbi, "What would you say if I told you we're back together again."

Mic. Dropped.
Colin King Seeing Skye pop up, Colin gives the resident hacker extraordinaire a beaming smile by way of greeting. He raises a hand and gives a wave. "Not much here. Just meeting Miss Morse."

A pause.

"She's very troubling, indeed," He adds, backing up Bobbi's own remarks about being trouble. With a lopsided smirk of playfulness, however.

Clint's verbal jab is met with a riposte in kind, as Colin shoots back with, "Safer for me, because I'm certain that they'd put me in the deepest dungeon they had if I wound up taking one of their best agents out of the field in a friendly spar, mate."

A teasing wink, and Colin flashes Clint a knowing look as he answer, "Yes, we met over coffee and tea. With the chimp."
Mockingbird Skye gets a 'what the fuck' look. "Well you told me now" Bobbi says and grins. "I'm glad for you. Wait, does Nat know about ? I mean, I'm happy for you, I'm just afraid what she'll say to bring the tone down and a bit sideways" Bobbi admits, to Skye, then nods to Colin. "Hey now, I've not punched anyone today, I'm learning, gimme credit will ya?" she asks and looks playfully insulted, though she looks from Clint to Skye then back to Clint, then Colin, and grins. "Alright, who wants drinks to celebrate Clint and Skye?"
Clint Barton Oh yes. Oh gawd, the chimp. How could he not remember that? Probably because he's convinced it was a dream!

"Ah yes. Tea. Chimp. Check. Now you tell me I wasn't dreamin'?" Clint laughs at that, and quickly returns Skye's kiss before moving to stand by her side.

"Y'know, Colin? Can't say I like your BBC Newsworld accent... but I'm sure we'll make a good team."

"Yeah, coffee sounds good, it's on me." Clint answers Bobbi's question. After a pause, he turns to Colin, "Don't trust her too much on it, she can beat a bunch of jerks in no time."
Skye Johnson "Don't worry. We're taking it slow. Different residences. He's back on the Avengers. Yada."

No, she hadn't told Nat yet.

"Uhhh, please, no drinking! We're taking it slow. Keep it quiet." After all, she kinda likes the change of pace.
Colin King Colin is about to talk about Bobbi getting to take on the winner when the entire conversation shifts. He stops, mouth open as if to speak, but just hangs silent. It's not so much that he's surprised by any of it, so much as he doesn't want to interrupt the flow.

"Well, I'm always up for drinks. I'm certain that it's Happy Hour somewhere, right?"

Clint's barb gets a wry grin, and he corrects. "Clint, come now. It's not a BBC Newsworld accent. It's called Received Pronunciation, and it is the proper Queen's English."
Mockingbird Looking from Clint to Skye, Bobbi grins. "Keep my mouth shut on this. I can do that. No drinking, I can grudgingly do that too, but.o" Bobbi admits with a smile. "I'm pleased for you guys though, and...yeah, you may need to work on it with Avengemind. But I'm glad. You think I'm jalous? Nah. I'm not jealous, I'm genuinely pleased" Bobbi grinthem and picks up her tablet again, turning the video off and scrolling through pictures. "So, Colin. Aside from you being MI6 and liking tea" she adds with a mock shudder. "What else is known about you?" she asks. See. Bobbi can do small talk. Knda sorta, maybe...

See, she's good. She's not broken any bones yet, either.
Clint Barton Bobbi's reaction seems to trouble Clint for a moment - he might have to chat with her later. But it soon passes as he nods at Colin, grinning.

"Happy hour is whenever ye're happy," he jokes. "Though for me, no more alcohol. Being the best, y'know, requires sacrifices." Ah, another jab. Hawkeye is really enjoying himself, which makes a change for his recent gloomy mood.

Since they are not going anywhere for drinks, Clint decides to go get a coffee pot and cups - proper cups, no styrofoam for Colin, that he remembers!
Colin King "Well, Bobbi," Colin starts, his eyes lifting upward as he puts one finger to his chin, as if in deep contemplation. "I'm British. I'm clearly a spy. I'm devastatingly handsome. Look good in formal wear. I have a fountain pen that has a poison capsule, mini garrote, and a single shot guided bullet. I love myself a dry martini. Shaken, not stirred. I'm an international man of mystery, so it wouldn't be very proper of me to let too much be known, now would it?"

Judging from the sh*t eating grin written across Colin's face, he's clearly teasing. At least about some of it. Probably. Maybe.

"But, it appears we're doing that bitter swill you call coffee instead of drinks. This is my disappointed face. See this face? This is disappointed Colin," He says, gesturing at his face which is held in an exaggerated crestfallen expression.

"Clint. Buddy. Pal. If you want to be the very best..."

"Like no one ever was..."

Colin just leaves that hanging there.
Skye Johnson Unfortunately Skye has to go. Alas! Waving to the people, and "Later Clint?" After all, he is bringing supper, from a new place! And she's off.
Mockingbird Another finger wiggle to Skye and Bobbi looks from Clint to Colin. "Okay so question, how well would you do against battle staves?" she asks. "No, not a challenge. More like, hey, c'mon, I'm curious here. Though she slips her earbud back in, singular one and leans against a wall.
Clint Barton Clint was returning with the coffee pot and mugs and nods at Skye as she leaves, "Later," he says, smiling. On his way back to the group, he clearly heard what Colin was saying, especially the last bit."Didn't say I wanted to," he corrects, "Said that I /am/."

He then proceeds to pour coffee first for Bobbi and offers her a cup, eyes searching hers for a second, as if to make sure all it fine. A quick ASL to her*You OK?*

"Oups, no tea for you, /mate/, just plain sludge," he adds, turning to hand a cup of coffee to Colin.
Mockingbird Bobbi nods, "Yeah I'm fine, seriously I'm glad you're happy" she signs to Clint with a nod, "You know it's hard to sign and drink coffee at the same time" she adds with both hands, then takes her coffee with a laugh. "Thanks. And no, no. It's /government issue/ sludge" she shudders, "Better than police issue coffee mind, or so I hear" Bobbi grins, raising her coffee to salute them with a grin. See she can also dump it over anyone who annoys her this much too. She does though glance from Clint to Colin, "Listen, Colin. I don't know if you picked up on this...but you're in America now, we drink coffee here. Tea's a Southern thing and God, I know that well enough where I went to school. Ever seen a sorority fight over sweet tea?" she asks, straight faced. "Georgia Tech is a weird, weird place."
Colin King "It's always a pleasure, Skye," Colin calls after the fleeing hacker, and then looks back to his companions in the hall. Bobbi's question draws Colin's attention, and he lifts one shoulder in a casual shrug. "I'm well versed in pretty much all forms of melee weaponry, and know a good deal of Escrima. I can hold my own. You should test me sometime."

When Clint reiterates that he IS the best, Colin only smirks and shakes his head, reaching his hand out to take the offered... coffee. The clear tease with the word mate has Colin laughing. "Okay okay. Thank you so much, c***."

That last word he draws out in an over-exaggerated cockney accent.

"And Bobbi, my dislike of coffee has nothing to do with being British, and everything to do with it just plain being terrible. But, not half as terrible as your Southern States idea of tea. That's simply a pure abomination of sugar."
Mockingbird Bobbi snorts, busting out laughing. "On that, we agree. I swear I'm bringing you to my reunions just to hear the room figh when you describe sweet tea" she grins keenly looking pleased. "Believe me, I hate sweet tea as much as you do Colin. And I got my schooling in Georgia, so....I got a burning hate for that. I swear Hydra are just as destructive as sweetened tea"

With that, Bobbi pushes off the wall and laughs, "I was going to the food court, want to come with me or not? If not I was going to hit the gym for a bit"

With that she starts walking, glancing over her shoulder to them for answers, though she rounds a corner and waits.
Skye Johnson *Everything is okay. See I'm smiling!*

And she does.. horribly, and grins.

*Wasn't you guys. I remember something about my mother. Gonna go check on it.*

"Beat 'em up Clint! Bobbi take on the victor, I'm counting on you? Nice to see you again, Colin."
Colin King Well, he's not going to turn down that invitation, and so Colin gives Clint a quick lift of his cup, and sets off after Bobbi with a quick but casual pace. "So tell me more of your thoughts on sweet tea, and battle staves, anyway! Color me intrigued."
