Andrea It's a chilly October morning and Halloween is knocking on the door! Tomorrow is Homecoming and Andrea is excited for the chance to help out her former school. As alumni, she feels it is her duty to spend wads of cash on the student body to ensure that their spooky dance is perfect.

Settled in her living room is the popstarlet and she is currently dressed in a pair of black yoga pants, a pair of thick fuzzy beige boots and a heavy cableknit sweater of a cream color. She looks ready to hit Times Square, or the Mall at the least. Tapping away at her phone, she hums along with the music that is playing through the surround sound speakers with some type of current music video on the large television that takes up most of the wall.
Tabitha Barr     Tabitha is also excited for the whole Homecoming thing, but mostly because it will be her first ever such event. The first thing she did to set it up was to go over logistics and supply with Shannon and some other students, then turn their list over to Miss Grey for review, approval, and ordering. Then was the other thing she was hoping to get done, which is why she's been spending more time with Andrea. What's any Halloween without spooky music? And if you're surrounded by musicians, why not do custom spooks?

The cableknit sweater is in fashion, it seems as Tabitha is wearing one of undyed wool that's large enough on her tiny frame to qualify as a sensible dress. But as it's the only thing she's wearing that isn't precisely sized to fit its bulk is likely intentional, in contrast to her former wardrobe. She's sitting in Andrea's home studio, wireless headphones on while she works on mixing up some ambient sounds into a cornucopea of spine chills. "Thanks for letting me come here to do this. I want as much as possible to be a surprise to everyone so they can be properly creeped out."
Andrea "No problem!" Andrea calls out after tucking her phone away to the side, then heads into the studio to give a look at her work. "I hope you're having fun. Kinda cool, having top of the line stuff at your disposal, huh? I planned on going into live streaming one day from here, which is why I got a few cameras placed. Maybe do some concerts from home, or Q and A's, or maybe just a few hours to kick it with the fans and talk about life. I want to come up with some type of new way to interact with people, especially mutants."

Flopping into a bean bag chair, she sprawls out and tucks her arms back behind her head. "I hope you're having fun at Xavier's. I loved my time there. I helped put together some of the dances as well. It was so fun and everyone had a blast. I was trying to put together a soccer team as well but no one felt we'd be able to make it work. Too many chances of powers being used. I just like soccer though."
Tabitha Barr     "It's certainly a step up from a dozen cassette recorders," Tabitha replies with a smirk. Said recorders and cassettes that made up her self-made 'recording studio' sit in their worn backpack under one of the mixing boards. She listens to Andrea's ideas about streaming and shrugs while smiling. "It all sounds like fun ideas, but I'll be first to admit that I still have zero clues about such things. But I'm catching up fast as I can between classes, hanging out, and daily attempts to beat me to a pulp in powers training."

"But yeah, it is a lot of fun. And once Shannon convinced me to acutally ask about things like the student welcome package and such it got even better." She indicates her sweater, jeans, boots, and wool socks pulled up over her jean legs. "Shannon helped me learn how to shop, and she's helping me put together some more custom outfits while trying to teach me to sew. Oh!" She perks up a bit, "And I learned about a field trip students could sign up for. Looking forward to that trip."
Andrea "Streaming is just sitting in front of the camera, talking to people who chat with you. It's easy. I think the hardest part is knowing you're talking outloud to yourself mostly and looking at a camera." Andrea laughs as she leans back in the beanbag.

"So, from what I can tell, you were kinda sheltered, huh? Sometimes I forget that I've traveled the entire world a few times over and some people haven't left the backyard. I hope you really have fun at Xavier's and just get the most out of it. You'll get into some adventures I'm sure."

"I was homeschooled my entire life being a celebrity and all, that is until I heard about Xavier's. I demanded my family send me. I wanted to be around mutants, my people, and feel normal. I couldn't do that at a normal high school. I show up, people freak out and crowd me and want my picture. At the time when I was at Disney, I was on every girl's wall as a poster, I was on the radio, I was on TV. It was suffocating. Being at Xavier's made me feel normal for the first time in my life."
Tabitha Barr     Tabitha nods her understanding of streaming basics, then nods to the next question. "Yeah, I was. Bar Harbor was barely one square mile and from what I can guess now, actively working to shut out the rest of the world in every way achievable. Didn't even hear the word mutant until /after/ I was at Xavier's, and let's not even get into things like freaking Atlantis." She rolls her eyes at the sheer magnitude of how closed off her past home was.

"I had the opposite problem. Outside of those who had to acknowledge me; Teachers, the orphanage staff, etc., and the bullies I was all but shunned because of my appearance. It was surreal at times, like I was moving through a town of shadow people. Or that I was the shadow." Her body gives an involuntary shudder and she snaps back to the present with a smirk Andrea's way. "I did see some of those posters in other kids's lockers, though.
Andrea "Sometimes it's almost easier to be ignored rather than be picked on." Andrea says with a nod of her head, giving a grin. "I'll admit, having fans divebomb you, screaming your name, wanting your autograph, was amazing at first, but it became draining and scary after awhile. Especially when people to grab on to you for a hug or something. You never know who may be a crazy."

"I have never been to Atlantis. That is awesome. You get to one up me on that one. I hope you have a ton of fun and take pictures if you can. Let me know if Mer-Men are hot or not."
Tabitha Barr     "Yeah, I'll give you that." Tabitha shudders at the idea of being mobbed like that. Then she chuckles as the conversation shifts to hot Mer-Men. "I don't know about all of them, but Prince Garth was pretty cute with his purple eyes. And now that I know I won't freeze down there I'm so looking forward to it. I doubt my phone is /that/ waterproof, though. Or that I'd get a new one if I broke this one so soon after just a couple weeks. But I'll see what I can do. What I'm really hoping I can manage is recording some of their music."

She wraps up the last of the tracks she was splicing together and transfers the files to a thumb drive. "There. That should be enough to spook just about everyone there in some way." She hops down from the stool she was using and moves to give Andrea a hug. "Thanks again for the use of the studio!"
