Selina Kyle After the excitement of last night, Selina was happy to settle down for the rest of the night, recovering from various bruises and cuts from dealing with more thugs than she expected to find. Fortunately, most of her wounds were minor. She was far more worried about the Panther curse that was starting to get bad again, now that Sparrowhawk's healing light had worn off a little.

The early morning finds her bustling around in the kitchen, making some coffee and frying an egg, idly rubbing her scratched arm as she works. She is dressed casually, wearing a black tank top and a short red wrap around skirt, humming softly as she works.
Spike      Not a doctor, probably as far from it as someone could be, Spike still stays with you and tries to sort out how the cure is going to work. For his own, not too many scratches to speak of. Somehow he was charmed last night and managed to not get too roughed up. There is an advantage letting him plot a little bit. No Batman, but still pretty effective.

The sun is coming up, but unlike many of his kind it doesn't find him racing to a bed or crypt to hide and sleep all day. Instead he is stretching a little and stifling a yawn,"You know how to make that potion or are you going to need that wizard guy again?"
Selina Kyle Selina Kyle is considerate of Spike's sun condition as always, having drawn the blinds to let in only a shred of sunlight. Otherwise, she's got the dim kitchen light on, just bright enough to find her way around without things being too unpleasantly blinding.

"No worries, Mr. Dresden provided me with a binder of helpful notes.." she has a pot of water boiling on the burner, as well as a bagful of some unusual herbs and other weird things, among which is a bright red egg about the size of a chickens egg, with black spots covering its surface.

"So, I just need to add these one bu one and let it simmer a bit before adding the blood..Then once the concoction turns green, I add the blood.."

She glances at him curiously, "Hey didn't you say you were friends with a witch? Have you mixed potions of your own?"
Spike      Closing and then moving to stand against one of the counters, Spike is mindful of the sliver of light,"I'll go get some sleep after we see the potion isn't hurting you and you can open up the place. Just because I can't have sun." he points out.

"I know a Wiccan of considerable power yes." he replies with a nod,"I have dabbled with potions and the like before, but I am far from a professional. Usually I just leverage witches and other such sorts to do what I tell them. It's all a bit much for me." His eyes move down your arm to study the wound,"Halloween is tonight. What say you and I find some way to celebrate your cure that isn't wandering around outside with all the wanna be monsters?"
Selina Kyle Selina Kyle smiles and nods, "I suppose you mostly have to sleep during the day, right? How much sleep does a vampire need, anyway?" probably not as much as a human, being technically dead and all, she assumes.

She continues to work on the potion and shrugs, "Hmm well Harry said this is more of an antidote than a magical enchantment, so it doesn't require actual magic to activate, which is good, even so perhaps you can give me some pointers? tell me if this looks alright so far.."

She frowns softly as he eyes her scar, self consciously rubbing it, "It's got to work, just hope I can finish in time. A little celebration might be nice though, what you have in mind?" she smiles impishly at him.
Spike
"Really I can get by with several nights and days without sleep, but it makes me cranky." he admits and moves his eyes back up to her face. A smirk and a wink and he tells her,"This the part where you tell me your eyes are up here? Wager you never thought you'd say that to someone looking at your arm." Of course he's teasing her to try and lighten the mood.

He looks at the potion mixing again and offers,"So far as anything I've ever seen goes, I'd say it is fine. Not my line really, but at least it looks OK." There is a moment to consider her question and he hmms,"Anything that doesn't involve being out there with all the prancing poofters trying to play at monster. Maybe we can get some food and watch scary movies that wouldn't scare a four year old. We could go somewhere out of the city proper and enjoy each others company under the stars if the weather is calm enough."
Selina Kyle Selina Kyle smiles, leaning over to brush a stray blonde strand out of his face, her hand gently caressing his cheek. "I never got a chance to thank you for helping me out back there, even if the Panther escaped." she grins, leaning over to whisper in his ear, "Oh, you can bet there will be a reward later." Selina practically purrs, "Oh yes, better keep your eyes up here, don't wanna miss anything."

She winks impishly at him before turning back to watching the boiling pot, adding the egg now and stirring it in nicely. The once clear soup turns a blackish grey, and it doesn't smell so great either, kind of like sour pot at high temp. "Phew, this potion making stuff is not what it's hyped up to be.." she wrinkles her nose, pondering.

"You know, I wouldn't mind cuddling up with a good old scary movie, maybe dress up in a costume. Got any movies in mind? or costumes for that matter."
Spike      There is a hint of a smile when she leans in closer. It fully blooms when she mentions a reward,"I like the way you think love. I'll work on the eyes. They enjoy looking you all over. I can't help it."

Looking over at the pot he nods,"As potions and medicinal concoctions go they tend to stink more the better they are." Wrinkling his nose he stage whispers,"This one is probably really good. Glad I don't have to drink it."

He looks back at her again and admits,"Old scary movie dressed up sounds like a good time." he agrees,"As for movies go...not so good at that. Maybe something more believable than fantasy. Vampires and such are lets impressive to me than someone like Mike Meyers." OH a moment of consideration on the costumes,"Now costumes...that might be more workable." So much for the Big Bad, he's far too inclined to play with her any way possible.
Selina Kyle Selina Kyle chuckles, "Oh yeah? Stinky is good? I dunno.." she leans over the concoction, wrinkling her nose a bit, "Hmm, I'm kinda thinking I might try injecting it. Harry said it can be ingested or injected directly into the bloodstream. It'd be faster and less unpleasant, just have to be extra clean.."

She is still waiting for the goopy potion to turn green and as she waits she ponders. "Hmmm I kinda like creepy, psychological thrillers. I'd take spooky ghost story over blood and gore any day. However, I'm open to suggestions.."

Selina smiles as she watches him thoughtfully, "As for costumes..How about something goth but sexy? I'd love to dress up as Elvira, you as Dracula. what do you think?"she laughs at the irony. A vampire dressed as a vampire.
Spike      "Injection is pretty extreme, but if you think you can handle it." Spike muses when she talks about doing that,"We can get you cleaned up good though. There is some alcohol and maybe you want a little internal first too.

He smirks a little and replies,"I can do creepy psyche jobs." he agrees,"Spooky is fine too. Just not something overly obvious." When she mentions Dracula he makes a face and replies,"I think the poncy bugger owes me eleven pounds." It is an almost reflex response when he says it.
Selina Kyle Selina Kyle smiles and shrugs, "Well, maybe I can mix the drink with alcohol, I mean, it's either take a sip of something disgusting, or risk infection, especially given my scratch could easily become infected if I open the wounds with an injection.." she sighs, "Okay..Guess that's the easiest route, Longer but less risky."

She continues to stir the pot, until it finally turns a brilliant, almost neon green. "Well, here goes nothing!" she pours the vial of blood into the potion and it flares up on flame and smoke. She coughs a bit, covering her face as she steps back. The potion has suddenly turned milky white and smells more like butter than foulness."

"Well, that was supposed to happen so it means I did this right. Let's see..." she stirs the potion, turning off the burner and waiting for it to cool down.

Glancing at him she smirks, "Seriously? You've actually met the guy?"
Spike      "Might be smarter." he replies when she talks about taking it,"Infection isn't fun. It can make things really smell." he confides. Watching her get the blood into the potion he smirks a little when the flame and smoke rise. The smell of butter seems more agreeable to him.

"Multiple times I've met the guy. Each new time was worse than the one before." he assures you in regards to Dracula,"You have to be very mindful around him. Most vampires feed and kill. They sire those they want or leave the others dead. Dracula will play with his prey though. Drain a bit one night. Then more another night. He plays with those he sires, killing them slowly and using his gypsy powers to make them want him to do it."
Selina Kyle Selina Kyle nods slowly, carefully pouring the potion into a few vials once it's cool enough. "I suppose. One of these should be enough, however, it may be tricky to heal any other infected we come in contact with via ingestion..Like those two teens." she frowns softly at the thought, "But it may be useful to fill some syringes if we can't force feed them. I'm not sure if there are others out there, either."

Talk of Dracula makes her smirk a bit, "Hmm, I guess when you're as old as he is, you get bored, and toying with people is a form of amusement." she chuckles and shakes her head, "Well you could always go as David Bowie or something? Wouldn't that be a laugh."
Spike      "Probably good to have several options since it will be hard to get more if we kill that cat." he agrees with a nod,"Maybe we need to put it into something to deliver it like a tranquilizer. Less need to fight all together."

"As old as he is, you need to get a unlife." he replies with a shrug,"It's about like a grown man playing with his food the way he does things." He reaches up and touches the side of her neck lightly, stroking the skin,"He thinks it makes him a better predator, better at taking people. If he sets his eyes on someone it never ends well." He smirks a little and shakes his head,"I have to say, last night was the first time I ever had that connection. David Bowie." He shakes his head and sighs.
Selina Kyle Selina Kyle smiles and nods, "I may have some tranq darts laying about somewhere, and with Remy's help, it should be easier to track em down.." she relaxes a bit, leaning into his hand. "Yeah.." she sighs, "Does that go for you too? Do you sometimes..Play with your food?" she smirks, both curious and..Something else.

"Weell here does nothing!" Selina holds up a vial and downs it quickly, coughing a bit but pleasantly surprised. "Hmmm tastes like buttered popcorn.."
Spike      "The tranq option might be best." he replies and watches her getting ready. He smirks a little and tells her,"For starters, I drink it out of a glass anymore so not really." It is a moment of thought tha precedes that follows,"I would chase, I would get the blood flowing. Adrenaline cleanses the blood. At the end of the day though, I either drank or I didn't. I have wondered about it though. Bite and drink a little here and there. I've seen clubs where humans let vampires do that on purpose. The humans are protected and the vampires are able to feed without killing. I can't say I ever tried. Not sure I had the restraint in the past. Bad part of the demon inside."

He nods and watches her shoot the antidote and he smirks a little,"Buttered popcorn...it's never going to work." he teases lightly and indicates the bedroom,"Come on. Let's both go rest. Keep an eye on things and make sure you are getting better, not worse."
