Clint Barton By lunch time, Clint Barton stopped at the Magic Box hoping to find Willow there. And there she was. Since she never asked anything in exchange for her magical services, the Avenger had decided that the least he could do it to invite her for lunch.

Unsure about her eating habits - less and less people will eat meat nowadays - he opted for a well known Chinese restaurant. He has just ordered his mean - Dim Sums and spring rolls, and a large glass of water.

"I know this place is good," he states, "I use to order from them."
Willow Rosenberg Willow really didn't charge him. In fact, most of her magics were for free. Minus the Magic Box's things. After all, some things she did haven't on hand! But this was a treat!

"It looks like a hole in the wall!" She grinned. "Do they have vegan? I don't eat meat. But I do like cheese. They don't have cheese here, at least I hope not!
Clint Barton With a shake of his head, Clint replies, "I doubt they have cheese here," he says, "But you sure can find vegetarian meal, and vegan."

Looking down at the paper menu on the table, he points to a few numbers.

"Hrm, check number 23, stir fried tofu with rice. And if you like mushrooms, I'd suggest number 41, the shitake fried rice with water chestnuts, very good."

He leans back on his seat, watching her chose her meal. "There's also the possibility of taking items à la carte, fix your own combo. You order what you want, it's on me. You were very nice to help me in my /quest/ and I couldn't accept it for free. So it's payback time!"
Willow Rosenberg "Oooh, so many choices! How will I choose?" Willow decided to take the one's he recommended, and two vegetable rolls. "Mmmm! But really, you don't really don't have to repay me. It was really my time. And it didn't give you much."

Willow felt bad about that.
Clint Barton "It gave me enough to continue searching," Clit replies. "Searching involves looking in many places. And we /did/ find something," he grins at that, "Even if we ain't sure what it was."

He pauses, tilting his head, and asks, worried, "Did that thing stay in your store? I hope it didn't create any problem.
Willow Rosenberg "Nah, I banished it." She sounds as though that's just another day for her. "I hoped you have had more luck. Sometimes things go awkward. I didn't know what it was. It really wasn't your father."

Willow didn't think she made a mistake, did she?
Clint Barton As the server brings him his plate, Clint holds the menu to point at some other items on it, ordering them without mentioning what they are. "A surprise," he says, to which the server nods.

Then Clint returns his attention to Willow, and what she says about the events at the Magic Box.

"Good, I'd hate it if it bothered you," he says, "I can't much against paranormal stuff with arrows, y'know."

Leaning forward to keep their conversation as private as possible in the middle of a full restaurant, he explains the latest step in his quest.

"Not much more so far," he says, "I met this guy, Nolan Voigth, I think it might be interesting. I'm still to meet him again so we can try a communication."
Willow Rosenberg "Really, my friends and I run across the supernatural all the time." Willow makes it sound so simple. "I felt bad. We got things crossed. Or something."

And then he goes on..

"Nolan? I don't think I've met him." Blinks. "Can you trust him. After all there are people who would love to cheat you out of your money!"
Clint Barton Clint grins at it, and was about to reply when the server brings Willow's plate. Once he's gone, the archer resumes the conversation.

"Well, to be honest, he sounded a bit strange, but hey, don't we all seem strange to somebody sometimes? He says he talks to ghosts, and might be able to assert the presence of my dad in Hell. It would be a good news."

It is unclear if the localisation of his dad /or/ that he is in Hell would be the good news.
Willow Rosenberg "I don't know.. but if you're alright.." Willow worries just a little bit.

Then her food was here! Oh boy, does it smell delicious! "If it tastes as good as it smells.. mmm. Do you think Nolan can really talk to him?"
Clint Barton Clint takes the time to eat some of his meal, visibly enjoying it. It's true that some small restaurants can have great cuisine.

"Well, he sure gave the impression that he does," Clint replies. "That, or they are in his head. I can't know for sure. He asked for a familiar object of the deceased, we'll see how it works. And you know, he didn't ask anything but one dollar.I should see him again soon."
Willow Rosenberg "Are you going to see him again?" D'oh, of course. Willow nods slowly. "You be careful, okay? Even if he is able to, things can go wrong!"

Willow was cute when she was playing mother bear.

"These shitake mushrooms are delicious. Thanks for the recommendation!"
Clint Barton With a smile, Clint warns her jokingly, "Keep some room for the dessert," he says.

He himself enjoys his meal, making a mental note to order some to bring home.

"I'll be careful, promised," he replies, grinning. "I might just buy myself a protection charm, if that makes you feel better. Any suggestion what would be best? I don't want to bring any spook at home."
Willow Rosenberg "Wellll?" Willow cants her head at him. "Do you want the truth, or do you want to buy something. Usually they aren't the same thing. You can buy lots of trinkets to protect you, butttt.."
Clint Barton With a serious look on his face, Clint thinks about it for a time. He's not really a true believer, but he has seen lots of things in his life, enough to keep an open mind while remaining cautious.

"I want something to make sure that if any ghost show up at Nolan's place, they won't follow me. To buy it or not is secondary. The point is, I don't want anything to attach to me. I have enough bad luck already.
Willow Rosenberg "Come back to the Magic Box, I may have something you can use." And Willow nods.
Clint Barton Clint nods at that, "Good idea," he says. "I'm in no hurry, better make sure all is done safely. And I'll bring you out for lunch again!"

That settled, he finishes his plate, and the server soon comes back to retrieve his plate. He then places a large plate of dessert assortiments just in front of Willow's place.

"Told you to keep some room for dessert," he grins.

On the dessert plate are a five spices chocolate pudding, a green tea coconut milk ice-cream and the classic fried banana.
Willow Rosenberg "HOLY cow! All of this, just for me?" Willow was ecstatic. "The only thing I can make is cookies! And we go out for ice cream, but not this kind."

She takes a little nibble and closes her eyes. "Oh.. wow.. so good." And the banana makes a hard second. "I'm never going back to the old banana splits."
Clint Barton Clint laughs at it, happy that his /payment/ is tasting so good. No dessert for him, he's just enjoying watching her appreciate the meal.

In the incoming days, he'll have to go visit the Magic Box again and see what Willow can suggest as a protective measure to make sure ghosts behave. Who knows, it could even be useful if he has to try more drastic measures than talkings with ghosts!
