Owner Pose
Joseph Miller Joseph Miller had borrowed the tow truck earlier today. and now is pulling back into the yard. It is Mercy's bday and while they maybe a thing with friends and family later, Joseph wanted to give her his present and a bit of special attention earlier. There is a large box on the back of the trick 5 foot long or so 3 foot wide, and 5 or so feet tall. Joe gets out of the cab holding a cake box, as he looks around for Mercy.
Mercy Thompson Mercy's...for once, not in the garage bit. Instead, the smell of baking is coming from her living area, and she looks. If her father dares to show up, Mercy is just going to pummel him with a wrench. Because they have a strange relationship like that, really. Though Mercy pokes her head out the door to the garage and just gives Jo a confused look. "Alright. What did you end up towing back here?" Mercy asks. Sure, Jo uses the tow truck, and Mercy's not sure just what he went and got. Well, aside from the cake that's saving Mercy baking one. "See you're being useful and I'm hiding away baking cookies. So" Mercy nods looking to Jo with an amused grin, "You missed cleaning out the cookie dough from the bowl. It's in the fridge however so...and...that crate. you piqued my curiosity on that"
Joseph Miller Joseph Miller smiles and walks over to dive her a kiss and offers her the cake "Well It maybe a present, or something I am not to sure." He teases her a bit. He will kiss her cheek and moves to get the crate bringing it to the doorway to the apartment "May want to open it out here in the garage though." He tells her, and watches her face.
Mercy Thompson Mercy laughs returnng the kiss. "If that's a coyote pup, I am so not sure that's a good idea" she jokes. Stranger things have happened with her life, but she's not hearing any scratching or coyote sounds so...good. Good.

"Hang on. you're not sure if it's a gift or not? Now I'm half curious, half concerned" Mercy sighs. "Alright, let me open this crate up and see what's in it then" Mercy says. "Do I need a hammer and a wrench or something for this? And if that cake has orange icing on it, I will scrape it off"
Joseph Miller Joseph Miller chuckles a bit and says "The cake aint orange." If she opens to look at the cake it looks like her Vanagon. He will find her a crowbar to open the crate, and inside she will find a statue of a coyote, but made of scrap metal. ( https://www.pinterest.com/pin/247416573253499037/ ). I saw an artist doing this type of stuff, and thought you would like it, it is a coyote, recycles and heavy metal." He offers to her.
Mercy Thompson That's not what Mercy was expecting, but she grins broadly. "You want me to take a wrench to the cake or slice into it?" Mercy jokes and grins. "That." she says looking to the statue. "Two things I'm unsure of. One, my father may drop by and critique it. I don't want to play Battleship with him again this year. Two, where do we put it? I mean, I can't hide it in my living area, can I?" Mercy asks, "It's great though. It's a coyote, made out of scrap metal. Which is something I wouldn't have guessed you'd get me. See, if it craps bolts that's a lot easier to sort out"
Joseph Miller Joseph Miller chuckles and says "Well I thought you might want to use it as part advertising for the shop. Figure it represents you and your work." He steps up to hug her from behind "So do you like it?"
Mercy Thompson Mercy grins and looks thoughtful with a 'hmm' sound. "So" Mercy muses, "What about your part of advertising though? I'm not sure on that" she says. "I mean" Mercy shrugs. "You think it goes better outside or? I'm all ears for where it should go though"

With that Mercy inspects the Vanagon cake. "Alright, get me a knife and we'll start on this cake and figure out what to do with the statue mind"
Joseph Miller Joseph Miller nods, and will head into the apartment giving her a moment alone with the cake and the statue to let them sink in and see what she really thinks. He will come back with classes of milk, cake and knife and forks.
Mercy Thompson Mercy just tsks at forks. "Really. Who eats cakes with forks? Really. Really. Forks" Mercy says, just going for fingers. Far easier to use, and no danger of jabbing important things. Mercy shakes her head and smiles. "Come on, if my pack could see us, they'd mock me something fierce for forks. I'm waiting on gifts from them too, but I'm kind of worried what they'll get me. It varies, ya know? Somewhere between useful, weird, and everything in between"
Joseph Miller Joseph Miller grins a bit at her, and says "Well I figured I would give you mine up front that way I can help carry anything you need me to." He does try the cake and seems he chose good, her favorite flavor from a good bakery.
Mercy Thompson Mercy laughs, with a wry grin. "See you got good taste in cakes. Statuee mind, but sure can figure it out. So" Mercy grins chewing on her cake. "So, what are you thinking for your part in advertising this garage?"
Joseph Miller Joseph Miller shrugs a bit and says "A Shirt with the name of it across my back, it is about as big as a billboard so should work right?" He teases her
Mercy Thompson "You got a point" Mercy nods, sipping her glass of milk with a knowing nod, then looks over to Jo with a knowing grin. "So, besides a shirt with the name on it. Then...what else you thinking?" she asks.
