Warpath Life is never dull. Wouldn't it be nice if it ever was. Jimmy is awlking down the street in a simple jeans and black tank top. No super hero costume thanks. He's between costumes anyway. He looks at his phone and then puts it away. Just up the block there is a gathering of people. The group has circled around someone crouched on the ground.
Black Canary Dinah's here because...because...oh, right. Ashes on Sunday. That was it. They came down here to promote their new single they'd been working on, and dressed casual, band gear short sleeve t-shirt over her usual outfit, the stockings replaced with reinforced jeans, same boots and gloves as ever....and she's got concerned about the crowd. "Alright look, you guys go stay out of this, okay? You're not getting hurt on my watch. Here's a hundy each, go....I dont know. Get pizza or something, and don't get in trouble, alright?" she asks her bandmates and motions for them to get going. That crowd doesn't look right to her.

So naturally, Dinah goes to check it out and see what's going on. Hey, why not. Not like she's famous or anything out here in Salem Center, but....the crowd is unsettling her. And she's closing in on them, too. Carefully, but jogging over.
Warpath For a guy this size, he moves deathly quiet. His height gives him a look at who the monkey in the middle is and the usually surly warrior scowls deeply. His eyes lock on to the ones nearest to him and closes.

The poor soul in the middle is just a little girl, early teens at the most, and she is obviously not normal. Her skin is just a little too green to be normal. Her buzz cut purple hair just makes it worse. Someone has already kicked her at least once as she is covering her ribs and trying to crawl anywhere.
Black Canary Being only....only five feet seven means Dinah hasn't got a height advantage. Instead she's not happy at the crowd though. On the other hand, she's got tricks up her...well, short sleeves if needs be, and she can kick like a....a...pissed off Canary honestly. She's got her eyes on the crrowd and is staring them down. Alright, they're gathering around....something, Dinah has a horrible feeling this is watching a fight, and...well...she's kept up with the news. Which by the way, is not pleasant at all. Into the crowd she goes, the advantage of not being seven feet is she can blend in easier than, say, taller folks. Out come the elbows as she's starting to force her way through the crowd. Martial arts are useful for more than just fighting crime, but....but...

If shit hits fan, she's probably a pretty good heroine to be around. That, and she did send her bandmates off to stay out of trouble. Means she gets to enjoy all the righteous bit of being Black Canary without watching out for drummers or bass players, really.
Warpath It is one thing to talk badly at someone, it's another to assault one so clearly mutant. The three men nearest his approach are the first ones to be on the receiving end of Warpath's attention. He open palm slaps the sides of the heads of the two men and connecting their heads to the one in the middle. The sound is less than pleasant to hear and three grown men are down and taking an unscheduled nap an instant later.
Alice Alice sighs as she steps out of the art suppoly store in Salem center, packed with a few rolls of EVA foam. The High Density type. And a few dozen tubes of acrylic paint. And Out there? People fighting. GREAT. Wait, was that one of the teachers?!

Hurrying her steps towards Warpath, she calls out. "Mr. Proudstar?" Just to confirm he's who she thinks he is. One hand hauling the two yard roll of polymer foam tied together with a big strap.
Black Canary That crack. Ouch. Dinah at least has a little compassion. Maybe not all of them are guilty...ah screw it. They're all in the crowd, and she can work out who is guilty or innocent later. Elbows fly as she's wanting to reach the poor girl and get her out of there. And right now, everyone in the crowd, save those she knows, is a possible threat to the defenseless girl. Dinah's eyes grow cold and dark as she's elbowing her way through the crowd. She's not resortd to kicking yet, because if she loses her legs or balance, she's screwed. So elbows it is. Martial arts are a wonderful thing, really...as Dinah's not even thought about screaming yet. If it's really needed.

Her job, get to the poor girl, get her away from the crowd and...somewhere safe. Preferably where anti-mutant or metahuman people can't get to her. Though the voice gets her to look over a moment, but with her eyes dark with anger, that is not a good sign with her.
Warpath The sound of course draws attention to him, but that was probably the idea. He turns just enough to see Alice in his periphral,"Alice." he mutters softly and looks back as half a dozen step from picking on the young mutant and start towards him.

He moves his attention to them, most are unarmed but one does have an aluminum baseball bat. He takes a breath and exhales slowly,"As a fallen poet once said, here we are now...." he closes both hands into massive fists and all the knuckles crack to add to intimidation,"...entertain us." Who would have picked this one to have any idea about the late Cobain?
Alice Alice stretches as she walks faster to close up to the teacher smacking noses, giving the crowd a glare, trying to push through to get to him. "Comeon, you don't need to fight. I mean, nobody needs to get hurt. Just leave him be and go away..."

Which is seemingly enough to get a particular bold member of the crowd involved with her. That guy with polished bald head and tattoos on the neck that proclaim the superiority of his particular hate groop does pull out and gives a good swing at the redhead, making contact and sending her tumbling forward, her goods dropped as the crowd almost swallows her.

It takes a few moments, then Alice fights herself back to her knees, a smear of dirt on her left cheek where she hit the pavement. "Who was that?" She asks, her eyes seeking the crowd, anger flaring up in them. Then the skin with a grin and laugh claimes the origin. Alice spits. "Ok, you belong to me..."
Black Canary Six on one, one seven feet tall, big fisted guy. Dinah's not really okay with this. Admittedly, she has an idea, but to expose herself as, well, a metahuman. Do the ends justify the means...or...can she sort this out?

Alright, fine, not all the crowd is going for Warpath.

Scream it is. Scream for taking them out of the fight. Apologize later, and try her best not to damage anything.

Warpath The man with the bat presents the most threat to him and everyone currently. So when the man charges with the bat Warpath side steps the others and catches the bat midswing. The sound of metal on his hand might make some squirm, but he doesn't blink. Instead he grabs the bat and use it to sling the attacker into his friends.

They all more or less fall over each other into a heap, but nobody is hurt that bad. Before he can move to strike the Canary's Cry blasts the gathering and though it isn't focused on him, he feels it all the same. He grimaces and stumbles several steps back, hands covering his ears and eyes watching for those that might try to attack inspite of the wave.
Alice Alice growls a little as the guy tries to swing, only to start clutching his ears as the cry hits him and the crowd. Alice covers her own ears at the sudden noise, just like the others. Some might get a hard bleed from the ears. But she does hace a secret weapon as she molds a chunk of rubber from a pair of shoes into earplugs, nestling them into her ears as she struggles back to her feet. And then gives Mr. Skinhead a kick. A rather harsh one. Right into his crown jewels. "That is for hitting a girl."

Glaring at the grounded racist, she keeps staring at him just a little longer, rewrking his underwer to be extra extra tight. Enough so he might better get rid of that or face what Jefferson proposed in the 1779 bill 64 as punishment for polygamy.
Black Canary Okay the crowd's dealt with. Good. Now...for the poor girl. Alrightt fine, Dinah needs help with this one as she looks around and makes a literal run toward the poor mutant girl. Yeah she could really use help with this. Admittedly it's a run through, over and around the crowd to get there, but Dinah crouches, all but daring anyone to pick a fight with her now.
Warpath It will take him a moment to recover fully, but once the scream ends Warpath rises again. He'll have a migraine to end all migraines later. Still, the crowd is down and the girl seems more or less safe.

Looking down at the one that attacked Alice, his face grimaces just a little and he moves his gaze to Alice,"I'd ask if you were OK, but I'd say you are better than that." There is almost a smirk her direction and then he turns to go check on the injured mutant at then Black Canary. Since anyone could be listneing he offers her a polite nod,"Canary. It's been a long time."
Alice Alice grunts as she turns around to go aid Warpath, letting the guy groan on the floor. She did her part. "What you said? I got plugs in after that sonic boom!" Yes, she speaks a little louder than necessary. But if you have ears full of rubber....

"Hey girl... how're you?" she asks the injured one, offering a hand and a smile to her.
Black Canary Ah it's Warpath. Great, and no sarcasm, as she gives him a nod. "Warpath" she says, with a glance to him, and she sighs. "You got this?" she asks. Which is her way of saying hey, I can clear off here and get my people and scram.

Crouching by the injuured girl, Dinah tucks hair behind her ears, "Everyone taken care of?" she asks, all ready to use her communicator if backup is needed, because...sure, call in her friends, why not. Still she pulls herself to her feet and looks around, as if assesssing threats...though really her cry sort of helped with that, but her eyes still have that dark anger in them.
Warpath Still shaking the last of the Canary's Cry, Warpath looks at Alice and smirks, realizing that she's managed to protect her hearing. He remains standing incase anyone gets a dumb idea about attacking again.

His attention moves to Black Canary again and he nods,"I have a place we can take her to get medical attention. Thank you for leveling the field for us." Painful or not, he knows she probably saved lives. The large blade returns to a sheath under his shirt.
Alice Alice sighs as she helps up the poorly beaten mutant girl. "Let's get out of here... before they come to." She notices back to the other two, louder than needed. Because earplugs.
Black Canary Literally levelling the field, too...as Dinah nods and glances to Alice, "I'm not going to hurt you" she says carefully. "Alright. Let's go. I'll make sure nobody gets too close"
EWhich is another way of asking if anyone wants a second dose of her cry. "You might want earplugs though. I can be...loud" she admits with a sheepish grin. "I got to get the rest of Ashes on Sunday though and we can all go help that poor girl out, but I got a PR schedule to keep" Dinah admits, a little frustrated.

Which is understandable. PR tour turned sudden vigilante moment, teaming up with a pair of mutants. See. Dinah really is versatile.
Warpath A shake of his head and Warpath replies,"Yeah. I was catching on to that." he replies and looks as Alice gets the youngling on her feet,"I'll try to remember to bring those next time." His attention moves over the bullying crowd once more and then nods to Black Canary,"It's OK. Take care of your crew. We have her. Maybe some time we could catch up for a drink instead of this sort of thing."

He nods to Alice and touches his ear so maybe she'll think to take at last one of her plugs out so they can talk,"I have a truck parked nearby. Let's get her a medical center."
Alice Alice helps with the girl till she can stand, before pulling the plugs out at the gesture. "Sure, let's get her to safety.. eh, one moment... can you stand?"

She makes sure the girl can, before she quickly recovers her bag and roll from the art store. No use in letting that stuff go to waste. "Ok, we can go. Where to?"
Black Canary "We're on a PR tour, around the area, you know how to get a hold of me" Canary says looking pleased, eyes calmer a little now. "Alright, get your truck, get her out of here and I'll let you know where we are headed nex. What's her deal?" Canary asks with a glance to Alice...and hopes she can take out the earplugs, now they are removed Dinah nods, "If I'm around keep them on hand, by the way"
Warpath Once the younger mutant is on her feet, he glances to Alice,"Yes. Let's get her safe." he agrees with her since she can hear again. He looks to the Canary and tells her,"I think I remember how to reach you." He looks to Alice and adds,"She's a student at the school where I teach. She's pretty fast at adapting to a situation. We could all take a lesson. Just don't tell her I said it." Aside from the fact she can hear him of course.
Black Canary That draws a laugh from the Canary. "You should remember. Just...don't expect Ditto to answer the phone, and if it's our drummer, good luck" Canary nods, it's time to gather up her crew and...get out of here, honestly...it's time before she gets spotted and in the news...again
Alice Alice doesn't interject, just make sure that the girl gets to the car safely for the moment. Because that is what's needed now. "You can walk, right?"
Warpath A nod to Black Canary as she departs and then he turns to follow after Alice and the young girl. Once they get to his truck, the trio get into it and go to make sure the young mutant is taken care of and then finds her way to her home. The last part left to someone a little more personable than him.
