Havok     Havok continues as he walks onto the Danger Room floor with his brother. "So it was Avalanche and Pyro in Central Park. They caught me off guard. I was minding my own business when out of nowhere Pyro hit me with the flame and then Avalanche blasted me across the lawn on the wave. Luckily I'm immune to heat... but damn, not at all immune to those seismic waves of dirt, concrete and debris. I then blasted Pryo into next week. Not even sure if he lived but when the cops and I searched for him, nothing was found. I hope I didn't vaporize him. Anyway, that wasn't the end of it. Right after I got off my shot, Avalanche blasted me across the street into some boutique. That's when I met Janet. I instantly recognized her from the PSAs. Unmistakable. She offered to help and jumped right into action. If it weren't for her, Avalanche would have gotten the upper hand and not only taken me out, but a lot of bystanders. He had me on the defensive and I was dazed. She kept my ass from getting wasted."

Cyclops holds the Danger Room remote and Havok was wanting to run a scene where he learns how to get one-up on Avalanche and the villain's area effects. But also wanted Cyclops and him to work on their team tactics against many of the Brotherhood.
Scott Summers "Yeah? Not every day you get a bail out from an Avenger. That's pretty cool, Alex." Scott says as he gives a look around the Danger Room as his visor gleams beneath the light. He has a bit of a limp to him, but he isn't going to complain. He always has been a good soldier. "I have contact information for Captain America and Black Widow for when and if we need support. I haven't met the infamous Wasp yet. What is she like? I imagine she's a lot like how Allison used to be during her celebrity days of glamour."

Tapping a button on his wrist device, the world of the Danger Room swirls about to create a generic city landscape beneath a bright summer day. The air is crisp, there is traffic noise in the background as cars drive up and down the streets and pedistrian NPC's go about their business. They look out of place in their costumes.

"With Metaforce in lockdown, we finally have a chance to make some headway into interrogation. Hank got some samples of this 'cure' that they were working on."
Havok     Havok smiles to himself when Cyclops compares Wasp to Dazzler. He grins outwardly and shakes his forward canted head. There's even a light chuckle from an internal dialogue. It's good Psylocke or Emma isn't here casually reading minds. Without missing a step, and stepping off to the far right of Cyclops, Havok states, "She's a whole lot more down to earth than I imagined." but he doesn't stay on that subject as he gazes at the new environment.

Havok states sounding quite annoyed, "Next the right wing's gonna try to come up with a cure for black, red, or yellow skin."
Scott Summers Giving a subtle glance over towards him, Cyclops raises his brows, but it's impossible to see behind the facemask and his visor. "Mm." He hums to himself in thought. "Interesting." He says as he makes his way down the street, giving a glance about at the detail of the programming.

"But, yes. I would say that humans in general on either side will always try to find a way to remove whatever the scares them the most. At some point they will move on to actual illegal aliens, those that come from space."
Havok     Just above the 12th floor of a skyscraper is a feather winged woman who zips around the building. At first, it looked like Angel. Some people look up, others don't even notice. But the looking up part draws the attention of Havok who says, "Hey, Warren is.. no, that's not Warren..."

Another person says, "Look, up in the sky, it's a bird.." someone says, "It's a plane.." and another says, "That's not Superman.."
Scott Summers Tilting his head upwards to the flying winged creature in the sky, Cyclops studies it's flight pattern for a moment. "I don't know who or what that is." He says as he presses his lips together. He hasn't been to the Savage Land, and this may be more of Logan's expertise.

"But I'm not going to start blasting away just yet, either. I didn't program this one, so who knows who put whatever false positives into the scenario." He gives a glance about, always keeping his head on a swivel while he is sure that his brother has his eyes on the flier.
Havok     A female voice is heard by the brothers. A sultry accented voice that isn't quite placeable who says, "Hello boys." and without missing a beat, there's a wave of vertigo washing over both of them. The wave will cause sudden dizziness, sickness, and instability. Making legs weak, causing extreme 'vertigo'. Which also means that focusing a blast is nigh impossible. Running, or even walking straight, standing up, etc, also impossible.

Havok's eyes shut tightly as he wavers and drops to his right knee. Both hands on the ground he loses focus and says, "Vertigo!" just before he groans and makes that sound which indicates he's about to hurl.
Scott Summers Already doped up on pain meds and a couple of stitches in his hip from taking a crystal shard to the body from last night's skirmish, Scott was already not feeling so great. When his head begins to swim and the world wraps, he stumbles out to one side, grabbing a light pole for support. Gritting his teeth, his eyes gleam from behind his visor.

"Remember your training, Alex. Focus on the position of the voice."

Ugh. His stomach is churning like a knot as he goes upside down, then side to side as the world around him distorts. He clutches at his head, trying his best to focus on where she was standing, but he doesn't fire yet. Not blindly.
Havok     Havok suddenly heats up, the white aura flashes around him and his hands begin to glow. His eyes remain closed as he tries to focus on the last position he things he saw Vertigo. He raises his hands from the ground as he mutters, "On it..."

And even though he remembers where she was and was about to line up for the shot, he didn't anticipate the second wave of the attack. And a wave it truly is. The ground is ripped up several yards away from the brothers and propelled toward them in a massive area attack that will serve to assault their general area with concrete, dirt, torn iron bars, and other debris as Avalanche attacks from their right side.
Scott Summers Feeling the rumble from below, Cyclops turns his head to the right and fires out a wide blast to try and counter the wave of cement rolling towards them. He is gaining his bearings, bit by bit, even if he can feel bile rising in the back of his throat. The hiss of optic blasts burn through the air, followed by the scent of o-zone tearing.

"Havok, gonna need you to help me out here. Come on, soldier. Get your head in it. We got this."

Placing one foot against the ground to anchor himself, he pushes his back against the light pole for support, then fires off another blast at the launching concrete. He can feel debris striking him in the chest and across the face, but he aims for the heavier chunks for now.
Havok     Falling to the left as the wave impacts him, Havok releases the blast that was originally intended for Vertigo. That blast vaporizes a hole in the wave and omits him from being pelted by the bulk of material. It doesn't stop him from being launched into the air and back and several yards only to land on his backside and roll out of it.

The first blast sent out by Cyclops only offers a glancing blow to Avalanche. It doesn't stop the wave that subsequently assaults the mutant hero. Avalanche calls out as he spins, "Blob! Pyro, you're up!"

Vertigo's vertigo wave suddenly ends as she ducks away to take cover.

Then suddenly the sunlight is shadowed as a tank truck is seen descending from overhead toward the general area of our two heroes. Worse even, that truck is being engulfed in flame being projected by Pyro who stands several yards away atop a flatbed trailer.
Scott Summers ".. Oh, come on."

Cyclops, not finally standing, is not amused by the scope of the situation. Flying trucks on fire? He sends a blast towards the ground, hard enough to propel him backwards quickly so to evade the impact and explosion. As he hits the ground and rolls into a backwards sommersault, he pops up to his feet, thorwing his hands upwards at the explosion and the heat that rips free of it. Once he assesses the situation, including his brother to make sure he's okay, he does a quick snap flick of his head to release a blast towards Pyro and to hopefully knock him off the truck.

"Havok, you okay?" He calls over to his brother before he taps his visor again to widen the beam. "We won't be able to take Blob out on our own. Not unless we can blow the ground out beneath him. Turtle him up."
Havok     The fuel filled truck strikes the ground a mere 20 yards away from Havok. It explodes the second the tank is breached. The fireball erupts in all directions and sends an immense shockwave with it.

Cyclops used his power to evade the explosion. Even gets fancy shots off and takes Pyro right out of the scene - knocking the flaming mutant off the skidder and onto the street right into a box truck to complete the KO.

Havok is bathed in flame as he's cast several yards backwards across the street and into the side of a building. Havok is dazed - again.

Half a block away is the Blob who is lumbering toward the conflict. Grinning like a fiend.

Havok answers, "Yeah..." in a weak, wtf just happened tone.

Vertigo is nowhere to be seen.

Avalanche is getting to his feet and looking in the general direction of Cyclops from the other side of the flames.
Scott Summers "Walk it off, soldier."

Cyclops says as he makes his way to his brother at a quick jog, keeping his eyes peeled as he watches Pyro go flying off. He taps his visor again, sending off another blast towards Avalanche once he spies him, aiming for his legs to try and take him off his anchor.

"Gonna need you to start blasting something before Vertigo rejoins the fight. Let's get away from the buildings in case one tries to fall on us. Keep your eyes peeled. If the rest of these chumps are around, they'll be hitting us high."
Havok     In his jog, Cyclops pegs Avalanche, spins the villain around (again) and the villain hit the ground quite hard.

By the time Cyclops gets to Havok, the younger brother is on his feet and in the process of charging up. His eyes start to clear and he glances up toward the skyscrapers that surround them. He intones, "Roger that...". But his voice is quickly cut off as he's pegged in the face with a holographic bullet shot from a sniper rifle atop a roof.

The simulation ends, the room turns back to the metallic silver hue that is default for the Danger Room.

Havok says in a very annoyed tone, "Mother fucker."
Scott Summers As the simulation ends, Cyclops rubs the back of his neck, then limps over towards his brother with a grunt in his throat. "Tough luck. I didn't expect us to go up against the entire Brotherhood. I figured it was programmed for just Avalanche and Pyro."

Reaching down, he grabs him by the hand and tugs him to his feet, then gives him a pat on the shoulder. "Eight against two is bad odds for anyone, even for the Summers brothers. They had the advantage throughout the entire map. I wouldn't even sweat it."

He peels the back of his facemask backwards to give his face some air, taking in a deep breath.

"How're you doing by the way? Outside of the DR. Everything cool?"
Havok     Still annoyed, Havok reveals the problem with the simulation, "No... I mean, no. I programmed the simulation Brotherhood-06 to practice against an ambush. I really thought we could take them. But the key word there is 'ambush'. I varied the parameters to toss in other members atop Avalanche and Pyro. But I wasn't expecting Vertigo - which is the whole point of the exercise. Not expecting a wildcard." But then when the conversation is turned, Havok states, "Yeah, I'm good. I'm just annoyed with the loss. You and I should be better... speaking of, what the fuck is wrong with your leg?"
Scott Summers "I got shot in the hip yesterday by a crystal dagger during our takedown of Metafore at the Cure Labs last night. I got it stitched up and auto doc did an okay job." Cyclops says as he gives himself a long stretch out. "But, Hank has his paws on samples of this 'cure' to see how exactly it removes our mutant powers."

"And we now have the entire team of Metaforce captured and ready to interrogate once Betsy and Jean get together. I have half a mind to let Victor and Logan have their way with them. The amount of damage they caused to human and mutant relations which caused the creation of this cure is ridiculous."
Havok     Havok missed a few briefings or maybe he was out a little longer than he recalled. He queries in a series of realizations, "Crystal dagger? Did you fight Diamond Lil or something? Or is this a different person entirely on the MetaForce team? Wait, did you say they were captured? We talking like they're in our holding cells?" then he pauses putting it all together hypothetically and waiting for Cyclops to fill in the gaps.
Scott Summers "Her name is Chrysalis. She's made of pure crystalish diamond. She can produce these spikes and throw them."

Scott makes his way for the exit doors as they swish open, motioning him to follow. He favors his left hip, but in front of his brother feels like he can let his gaurd down just a bit.

"Yes, they're in our holding cells. Hank and Forge programmed a few of them to ensure that it acclimates to their power sets. The only one I'm really worried about is Cronosis. I think that's their name They're a teleporter. Then there is Dragonlord who is a pyrokinetic, and Fluttergast who can use psinoic powers to create green .. crows.. that attack. They're a low budget MLF really. They've been attacking hate groups which on it's head you'd think we wouldn't have an issue with it, but they're doing it in a very public and spectular manner, as well as trying to recruit young mutants. A lot of innocnet people have got hurt because of them and now, some pharama company has successfully created a 'cure' that removes our powers."
Havok     Walking with his brother, Havok processes all the words. He chuckles a bit and asks, "Who named these people?" The rest is inconsequential and not worth mentioning. The cure thing has been covered and he'll get back to it later. But for now, he's focused on the 'names' and how silly they sound.
Scott Summers "I have no clue. Maybe all the good names are trademarked." Scott says with a rare note of amusement in his voice. "I am just glad that we finally have them off the street. Now we just need to know what to do with them. They had number of young kids with them that were mutants also, and I'm talking like ten year olds. Runaways I think. We're tracking down their families but most likely we will bring them on as students." He gives his head a shake, sighing out heavily in frustration.
Havok     "Do with them? Why aren't we turning them over to the authorities? I mean, they committed crimes. Surely they're wanted. Just package them up with a nice bow and drop them off at Riker's. The police would be super happy with us. And Riker's has that super high security meta wing just for people like them. Or us...", notes Havok with a slight turn toward the darker side of the conversation or potential - as mutants are often seen as the bad guys.
Scott Summers "Because right now, we have information that we need to get from them first. That, and these guys are on SHIELD's radar. They had a run in with the Avengers as well. I'm not exactly sure I want Nick Fury to get his hands on them. There's more at play than these jerks just attacking people it seems. Once I feel confident, I can turn them over to Riker's. I also want to make sure that they are acting upon their own free will." Scott has a structured plan, currently in motion. It evolves day by day.

"At the end of the day, I am really looking out for our own. If we can rehab some of these members like we are doing with Victor, I'd rather take that path instead of just simply ship them off into a prison. They're young and scared. Stupid as well. But if they report to a higher power, I want to know what it is. Make sense?"
Havok     Havok groans. It's a familiar groan of annoyance. In this case he's reflecting upon the 'rehab' that hardly ever works and the 'second chances' always given to so many people that normally bites them in the ass. But he doesn't say anything, instead, he just groans.

Alex then notes, "Tell ya what. I'm gonna go take a shower. Let me know how the Jean-Betsy team-up works." then he sort of shudders and says, "Oh fuck, that had a bit more imagination than I expected." then he grins, "You know what I mean. Lemmie know how it all works out." and he starts to break off heading toward the lift.
Scott Summers "I suppose it did." Scott says to Havok in regards to the amount of imagination that comment had. "I'll keep you in the loop. Just remember to read the intelligence reports that I send you." He unzips the front of his suit to air himself out as he heads towards the elevators. He may as well shower in his own room.
