Buffy Summers As night falls on the cemetary, that's when all the creepy crawlies come out. You'd think that vampires would think to take a break at Christmas time at least..But no. They're out here in full force, and it looks like there's a new vamp gang in town.

Whatever the case, they are here, lurking about the tombstones, hunting for a good meal. And on a particularly mild winter evening, there are a few people out for a stroll.

Oh, and an old homeless guy, who is scrounging around in a nearby garbage can, searching for scraps. A glint of green metal catches his eyes, and he pulls out what looks like some sort of metallic chinese finger trap..Except it's broken. But hey, it might be worth something.

Too bad he's not the only one out hunting tonight. A shadow falls over him as a tall, muscular vampire grabs him and slams him against a tree, stifling his mouth as he tries to scream. And then he starts to feed, pausing only briefly to glance at the girl next to him.

"Come on, Tiffany, you gotta eat something, here! He's a bit old and dirty, but better than nothing!"

The young woman, tall and spindly, a little too skinny, busty - although that bust looks like it's all plastic surgery, as does most of her body - a fake tan and platinum blonde hair that is too long to be real - probably extentions? She steps forward, her too-perfect collagen injection lips formed into a slight frown as she catches the man..

And it's really hard for her to resist that blood, being a hungry vampire and all, even though it just..Feels wrong. But she needs to eat. And so she takes a sip or two. Just enough to stave off the hunger, not enough to kill. She lets go of the guy before the muscular vamp catches him again. "Awe, what's wrong? Lost your appetite?"

Tiffany shrugs, "Just not hungry, I guess." With a sigh, she leans against a tree, watching as three more vamps come out of the woodwork, attacking a small family that went for a walk nearby. Really..Is this all it's cut out to be? Why...Does it feel so wrong?
Thomas Raith And then two of the vamps attaching the family go up in ash. A pair of crossbow bolts dropping to the ground where they had been standing. A figure like a ghost in white steps out of the shadows and aims the crossbow at the muscular feelo and shoots at him too. It's not fair, he's never eaven used one of the damn things before. Thomas looks around, eyes locking on Tiffany. "There you are." He says with a sigh. "I've been looking all over for you."
Buffy Summers The first two vamps dont even have a chance to react as the crossbows find their mark. As they go up in dust, the couple scream, catching their breath, glancing at each other then flee the scene.

The homeless man stumbles forward, dropping the green metallic device and he too flees, the moment the muscular vampire is dusted.

Tiffany's eyes widen, stepping back, frowning slightly as she sees who it is. "You again? What you you want?" she's slowly backing away, knowing full well how strong he is. She only watched him dust a bunch of vamps the other night and tonight again..He nearly killed her the last time and she's not about to take chances. But that crossbow is pretty quick..Can she outrun it?
Thomas Raith "Stay where you are," He says simply, "I don't want to hurt you, but I will shoot you in the leg to keep you from running away." He says simply. "I know you are confused right now, but believe it or not I'm here to help you."
Buffy Summers Tiffany has her eyes locked on that crossbow, nodding slowly. "I'm listening..What do you want? If you're here to dust me, just do it. No games. I've had enough games for tonight."

She arches a brow at the 'help' part and laughs, clenching her hands, stiffening slightly and taking another step back as if she were getting ready to fight. "Here to help me? By threatening to shoot me? By nearly killing me the other day? By killing my..My friends?" she spreads out her arms as if to include the vampires..

Okay, so she barely even knew them, but..They were still allies. They weren't pointing crossbows at her. "You've got a funny idea of 'helping' people."
Thomas Raith Thomas Raith shrugs. "Maybe, but you've got to admit that I'm cuter then they were... and I don't do that whole face shify.. GAH.. Thing." He says with a bit of a shudder and a smirk, "As for the thing the other night... Okay my bad on that. Or more accurately someone set us both up." He lowers the crossbow slightly. Even with her Vampiric sped he can still likely raise and fire it before she ran away... And he's not worried about hurting /Tiffany's/ body. "Your name is Buffy. Do you remember that?"
Buffy Summers Tiffany continues to eye the crossbow, lips moving slightly as if she were making calculations. If she were the slayer, she could easily dodge and/or catch it..But she's just a vampire. Not nearly as fast or as strong. This guy..Whoever or whatever her is, seems pretty strong and fast.

"Buffy? Buffy who? My name is Tiffany." She frowns, pausing, as if unsure. It's what one of her vampire friends called her anyway, when they brought her up to speed. "I might have hit my head, doesn't mean I'm stupid. And if you're here to help like you say, you'd toss the crossbow away and talk to me like a civil...Whatever you are."

Older vampire maybe? But why all the white? Doesn't dress like one. Hunting down other vamps?
Thomas Raith "Monster?" he suggests blandly and shakes his head. "I could take you down easily enough, but I'm not sure if I could do it without hurting you. This?" he gestures to the bow. "This is just to keep the fact that I can in your frontal lobe." He says simply. Then he shakes his head. "No, you're not. They /think/ you are Tiffany because due to some magical shenanigans by the real Tiffany, you are wearing her body and she's wearing yours. That's why I attacked you the other night. I thought you were her. Didn't know you swapped."
Buffy Summers "Monster. Yeah, that's funny. Afterall, that's what they call us vamps." she laughs, shaking her head, but hasn't lowered her guard. Not one bit.

"What the...What the heck are you talking about? Magical shenanigans? Real Tiffany? I AM the real Tiffany! Where the heck is this all coming from, even?" Tiffany takes another step back, glancing sideways. There's the treeline. If she could make a run for it..

She reaches into her pockets, feeling for something hidden there.
Thomas Raith Thomas Raith shoots an Arrow and pegs it into the ground about 6 inches from her foot. "Don't try it. Please." He says simply. "It's like that movie Freaky Friday with Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan and that guy who played Gibbs on NCIS." He says with a sigh. "She went int your body, you went into hers. But there was some sort of Mojo twist that messed with your memories on top of that. I don't fully understand the mechanics of it. Not my forte. But if you are the real Buffy..." He reaches into an inside pocket of his coat and pulls out a plastic IV bag full of blood. "I'm willing to bet you are starving."
Buffy Summers She has already taken another step back, but the blood is what gets her. He knows Buffy would never harm an innocent if she could help it. Even if she became a vampire. But..

"So what, now you're gonna threaten me and bribe me at the same time? I dont think so.." Eyes narrow. She's made up her mind.

In one quick move she pulls out another smoke bomb and tosses it at him. A moment later she kicks at the metallic object at the ground, aiming it at the hand that holds that crossbow. Tiffany may not be The Slayer, and her strength and speed are far below the White Prince's..

But one thing she does retain are her mad skills, much of which is instinctive to begin with, and she relies on that now.
Thomas Raith "ZING!" the arrow flies out and hits the smoke bomb in mid air, sending both flying off hamlessly. The silver device however arrives a moment later and easily knocks the crossbow out of his hand. "Empty Night!" he exclaims as the wrenching twists his fingers and he turns to give some sort of chase. "Damnit Buffy, I don't want to hurt you!" he exclaims, trying to close the distance.
Buffy Summers "Stop calling me Buffy!" She yells, clearly mad now, and even as the smoke clears, she whips out a powerful sidekick at his mid section, attempting to shove him back, then follows with a low footsweep for good measure, incase the first kick missed.

"I don't know what you're planning, but I sure as hell am not going anywhere with you. Heck, for all I know, you're with the Initiative, and we all know what happens to those vamps." Right, experiments. Chips. Crazy stuf. No thanks.

She should really make a run for it, but..Her nose twitches hungrily, diving for one of those blood bags.
Thomas Raith Thomas Raith takes the first kick, trying to capture her foot and leg, but misses, which means he gets his with the sweep as well. He is knocked off of his feet but nips up and shakes his head to clear the cobwebs. He's supposed to be the hero here right. Strong words and roaring speeches. Convince her that he is the Knight in shining armor here to rescue her. He's no knight though. He is no hero. So, he cheats. He tries to make a grab for her again, but this time he tries to feed. He has to be careful of course doing that... Vampires don't have allot of life force to start with.
Buffy Summers Tiffany is impressed by his quick moves. Initative. Definitely. Not really very heroic. Not an outright villain. Yeah, it fits the bill from what she's heard. She stretches her fingers towards the blood bag..Almost there.

He grabs her wrist. Feeds on her. Her eyes widen. "No!" for a moment she hesitates, her grasp on the bag weakens as he feeds on her. "What ARE you?!" there is a mixture of fear and confusion and..And for a moment she seems to stare at him a moment longer, her gaze softening.

Just for a moment.

Was it the effects of his feeding on her? Did she remember something? But then it's gone as quickly as it came. She reaches out with her free arm, grabbing a handful of snow, flinging it at his face, his eyes, at the same time that she twists free of the grabbed hand, pulling the bloodbag with her as she staggers back, away from him.

"I don't know who or what you are, but you sure are no hero.." she mutters, although she seems a little sad, for some reason.
Thomas Raith Temperarily blinded, thomas steps back. He wipes the snow from his face. "No Buffy," He says softly. "You're the hero. You saved me. And now I'm just... I trying to get the woman I love back." He tries to keep his voice soft. Tries to sound convincing. He knows he saw... something here... just for a moment... and so... so he asks her the only thing that he thinks might jar her memories. The first thing that pops into his mind... "Can I offer you a slow comfortable screw up agienst the wall?"
Buffy Summers She blinks slowly, watching him warily, keeping a safe distance from him. The crossbow is still on the ground between them, where she can see it, make a grab for it - or kick him in the face if he dives for it again. Tiffany doesn't like to fight dirty, but she will, if she has to. To protect herself.

"I'm no hero, I'm just some random Vampire trying to survive..And you still haven't told me your name." she shakes her head. "You want me to trust you, but I still don't know who...?"

There's that name again. someone he apparently loves. Loved. She frowns, her gaze softening on him for a moment. Then there's that line. That stupid line. Her eyes widen, another flash of recognition and she blinks slowly. "That's the first...!"

And then that memory is suddenly gone and she sighs, shaking her head, lip twitching slightly. She seems so lost, confused.
Thomas Raith "That's the first drink I ever offered you." He says softly. "I was hunting you that night. Instead? We ended up talking for hours. I'd never felt a connection like that before... Not with anyone." He glances at the crossbow... then stomps on it, smashing it to bits. "I'm no hero. You're right there... but you /are/ the woman who saw the man inside the monster. My name is thomas... and I love you."
Buffy Summers She arches a curious brow at him. "Hunting? What do you mean..I thought you said you didn't want to hurt me. Why do you keep contradicting yourself?"

Tiffany shakes her head, utterly confused, but a little curious. And why does this guy...Seem familiar, somehow, send shivers down her spine..? "Thomas huh. But I'm no hero, I've never met you before. And frankly? I don't trust you. I think you have me mixed up with someone else."

Still his words seem to affect her somehow. She seems..Confused. And then he smashes the crossbow, and that seems to cause her to relax a bit more. "Why'd you do that? Don't you know, I'm a vampire. I could kill you. If I wanted to. Aren't you afraid of me?" she smirks.
Thomas Raith Thomas Raith shrugs. "Your main questions have the same answer. I'm a predator. Like a vampire but different." He says, keeping his eyes on her. "And when I first saw you, I thought you were prey. I was also smart enough to realize that mistake before it killed me." He says mildly amused at the thought. "We've been living together for months now. You were attacked. Your thoughts scrambled. Your name is Barbara Anne Summers. Everyone calls you Buffy.
Buffy Summers That gets her chuckling a bit. "Heh. A predator. I knew it. Like a vampire but...Different?" that causes her to frown, "What on earth is that supposed to mean? Just now, when you touched me, I...I felt something." Something that makes her blush as she hugs her arms.

"And now, what do you see me as? Am I still prey? Just another person to feed on? Not that it matters, I'd do the same to you, given the chance. But...Maybe I'm just a little curious."

Tiffany smirks a little, "Buffy. Uh-huh. Sure. What a silly name. My name is Tiffany Anne Swailes." funny. They share a middle name at least. "We were definitely not living together. I think I'd remember that. I can see why the girls would fall for you, but I'm not one of them." Eyes narrow a bit. "And I dont like mind games."
Thomas Raith "Just another vampire huh?" he asks slightly, smiling just a bit, "Alright then..." And he kneels down in the snow, and takes off his thin shirt revealing his muscular chest. then he turns his head to the side, exposing his neck to her. "I'm White Court. We feed directly on the Life Force of humans. So naturally our blood is richer then most. I however have, for the last nine months, fed almost excessively from the Slayer herself. If you are just a Vampire... prove it." He looks at the blood bag. "That's a hamburger. This is filet minion. So if you are just a vampire, do it.." He puts his hands behind his back and clasps his own wrists. "Because I refuse to live in a world without Buffy in it... but if you are Buffy.. i know you won't be able to. You can't hurt an innocent... and i'm willing to bet my life you can't hurt me either." He closes his eyes. A tear runs down each cheek. He waits.
Buffy Summers She arches a brow. "Soo...Some kind of psychic vampire, huh." she frowns softly at the thought. Another flash of memory hits her and she flinches, clutching her head. She blinks as he takes off his shirt, face redenning a bit as she steps towards him.

"Why...? Did this..Slayer girl..THE Slayer really let you feed on her like that? And why are you so delusional that you'd mistake me for her?" Still, a free meal is a free meal...Right?

Tiffany steps nearer, nostrils flaring, mm. He smells good. Way better than any old blood bag might taste. Well dangit, he's pretty much offering himself up to her..And she's still pretty hungry. Slipping the blood bag away, Tiffany quickly closes the gap between them, reaching down to touch his neck. Mm, she can smell the blood, feel it pulsing through his jugular. She could kill him right now, take her fill.

Her fingers run along his neck, licking her lips, pressing her painted nails against his white skin. But she hesitates, for some reason.
Thomas Raith Thomas Raith kneels there, motionless for several long seconds. He lets her war with herself. He knows the struggle she must be undergoing because Empty Night he struggles with it himself every night... Finally he opens his eyes and looks up at her. He said the line earlier... the one that started their relationship. Now he says the one that shaped it. that defined it. That made it possible. "Do you trust me?"
Buffy Summers Tiffany blinks slowly, clenching her other fist. Dammit. Why is she struggling with this? She's a *vampire*, she's supposed to feed on people. It's what vampires do. It should be second nature to her.

She swallows a bit, letting her fingers trail down his neck. Almost gently, almost..Something else. WHY does this feel so...So familiar, somehow? Why does he seem familiar?

Tiffany frowns softly, shaking her head. "I don't understand..Why are you crying? Why are you sacrificing yourself for a total stranger?" His question catches her off-guard. Didn't she just tell him he didnt trust her? But that was when he had a crossbow aimed at her. And now..?

"I...I don't know. I mean..One moment you've got a crossbow aimed at me, the next you're kneeling at my feet, offering yourself up to me. What kind of game are you playing now?!"
Thomas Raith He looks at her. "No game." He says softly. "I've seen what I will become without you in my life. In just the last two days I've...done things that I only wish I could take back. I needed the crossbow just so that you would listen to what I have to say. I've said it. Come with me and I can offer you protection. Food. Whatever you need until we can return you to yourself. Let me prove to you that you are Buffy."
Buffy Summers Tiffany sighs, shaking her head slowly, pulling away. "I just..I don't know. I dunno what to believe. Who to trust. The only thing I know for sure, is that my name is Tiffany. And I'm a vampire.."

She takes a step back, frowning softly. "No offense but, for me, its like we're just meeting for the first time. I just...I dunno. I need to think about things."

Tiffany pats the pocket with the blood bag. She'd ask for the other two, but that might be a bit inconsiderate of her. Again, she's thinking more like a human than a vampire. It sets something off in her mind and she frowns softly, clutching her head. But then it's gone as quickly as it came.

"Sorry, Mr. Raith but..I have to go." She turns and starts to walk off, but hesitates, pausing to glance over her shoulder at him, smiling weakly, "Hey, maybe we'll meet again? And..Thanks..For the blood."
Thomas Raith Thomas Raith wants to stop her... He knows that he can't. "Buffy!" he calls out to her and then tosses her the remaining two bags, underhand, one after the other. "There is a night club in town called the Blue Lady. If you change your mind.. or want more answers... go there. tell the doorman that you are there to see Mr. White. He'll let you in." Although to be honest with Tiffany's own...assets... Axe would probably let her in anyway. "Food. Protection. And a real explanation of who you really are. Hell a wine cellar with a bed has got to be better then a crypt right?"
Buffy Summers That name again. She frowns, turning around quickly, catching the bags easily, even though she's put considerable space between them by now. "Mr. White..Blue Lady. I'll remember that..Thank you."

She gives him a soft smile, although her hands clench a bit at the mention of food and protection. Does..Does she really need any of those? She's always been independent before, but..

"Good bye, Thomas Raith. I'm sure we'll meet again." And with that, Buffy is gone, vanishing into the shadows.
