Clint Barton Just a little after mid-day, when most customers on their lunch break returned to work, the Magic Box is rather quiet. This is the time that Clint Barton, aka Hawkeye, decided to drop by. It isn't the first time he's visiting. On a previous visit, a séance had turned out to be quite dramatic indeed.

Wearing casual clothes, the archer carries a small sport bag slung over his shoulder - doubtless containing a bow and arrows. Holding two larges cups of coffee and a small paper bag, he enters the shop, his eyes quickly assessing the store, as if looking for someone. Not finding this person right away, he nonetheless walks in to place the cups of coffee and the paper bag on the large table.
Willow Rosenberg Willow is.. well it's best to to describe it as Willow is off in her own little world, sitting on the floor, reading the newest books that they had procured for the store. After all, there weren't many customers this afternoon, and she was caught up in school! Even had a whole bunch of studying with her only midterm left.
Clint Barton Now standing by the table, Clint notices Willow sitting on the floor. Should he disturb her, she looks quite busy. Making a mental note to not take too much of her time, he clears his throat, just loud enough to get her attention.

"Next time, I'll make sure to take an appointment," he says in his low voice, offering this large, almost boyish, grin of his.

Clint nods in the direction of the cups of coffee, that he stopped for at the nearest coffee shop, "I come with gifts. I dunno what you like, so there's a black one, and a double caramel cappucino with whipped cream... well, whatever they call it. You pick the one you want."
Willow Rosenberg "The double caramel one, d'uh!" Willow really was embarrassed. After all she was supposed to be here helping the customers, not indulging in her own studies!

Reluctantly, she put the books neatly on the shelf, and gets up.

"I haven't seen you in a while. I thought you'd decided we were frou-frou.. you know.." She makes a circular motion beside her head. "Did you find the.. it was your father, right? Did you find what you were looking for? I'm sorry I wasn't a better help. But I have found a teacher!"
Clint Barton The archer chuckles at Willow's reaction to the cappucino - he guessed right. Black coffee is his choice anyway. Before answering her question, he opens the bag of pastries, filled with little chouquettes - puffy little balls covered with sugar crunch. Leaning against the large table, he enjoys his cofee before answering.

"Nope, no luck on my quest," he says. "But tell me first, a teacher? D'you mean, a /special/ teacher?"

The way he pronounces /special/ makes him sound like he already has an idea of what type of teacher this might be. Probably some creep asking too much cash for nothing in exchange. A scam. Being the eternal skeptic, he's not expecting much more.
Willow Rosenberg Sitting herself at the table, Willow holds her cup of cappuccino two handed. "I guess she could be a special teacher? I never thought about that, actually." She knew she was legit based on the magic she performed. "I can ask if you want? Perhaps she could help you?"

Then again something told her she wasn't the type to do favours.
Clint Barton Tilting his head for a moment - that's better than saying no-way right away - Clint grins as he declines the offer. "Naw, I've got a couple /magic/ friends already," he says, adding, "And I count you as one of them."

Still suspicious about this /teacher/ - heck, he's always suspicious about everyone - he probes a bit more, "She has a name? Where does she /teach/?"

Well, the Avenger /and/ master-spy can't help being curious, still he's trying to not sound too inquisitorial.
Willow Rosenberg "Her name is Tala." And with that piece of knowledge, Willow used *all* her knowledge about her. "But she is knowledgeable! Really!"

Damn, what other things did she know?

"She already told me how to move through a crowd." Well, in theory.
Clint Barton The look on Clint's face shows how incredulous he is, added to a hint of concern, after hearing the few information Willow has on this individual. If /this/ is all she knows about this /teacher/, she should definitely be careful. While not exactly the kind of guy to paternalize people, the archer can't help but warn Willow.

"Riiiiight. You don't seem to know much 'bout her," he says, "I could check if we have something on her, if you want. And if not, then just... just be cautious, OK?" He stops short of adding anything about bunches of weirdos out there. She knows that part.

Hopefully, Willow won't take it wrong, as he's really concerned and would hate to see anything bad happening to her.
Willow Rosenberg Willow doesn't answer. If fact if she were younger she would be stomping her feet and showing her temper.. instead..

"I probably will check on her myself." She won't, but he should believe, which is what she wants: to keep him out of her business!

(That should of been a warning sign all on it's own!)

"But you didn't come here for that, did you?" She switches the topics.
Clint Barton Raising a hand as in a defensive move, Clint shakes his head. No need to be a mind reader to notice that his warning wasn't really welcome.

"Hey, OK, I know - I /saw/ - what you are capable of," he kind of apologizes, "I guess what I'm tryin' to say is, I care about you and don't want anything bad happening to you, is all."

Yes, and now is time to change the topic as she clearly indicated.

"Talking of what you are capable of," he finally gets to the point, "My quest. Riiiight. Went no where fast. The closest I went was with your help."

On that, Clint glances around, making sure no one will hear what he's to say next.

"Next steps, I'll try to meet the Sorcerer Supreme... and if /this/ doesn't work, then I'll go to Hell. Which is why I'm looking for whatever could help. Arrows might be useless in Hell. So I was thinking you might have some suggestion. Charms, whatever to protect against what may be in Hell."

Yup, that simple.
Willow Rosenberg "You want protections? Like amulet or similar?" Willow nods very slowly. "For in hell! Right?"

She is already thinking of *what* she would have to get and the incantation.. she *thinks* she should be able to.

Then he mentions Dr. Strange! And her eyes widened. She hasn't yet met him, but, oh how she wanted to!
Clint Barton All concerns are gone for now, the Avenger is in strategy mode, planning for battle and looking for the right weapons. And defense.

"Yes, it doesn't have to be permanent, y'know. I don't plan on stayin' long in there! Just something to protect against godly magic, or even better, something that might help escapin' the place."

Willow's reaction at the mention of the Sorcerer Supreme isn't lost. Being an Avenger - even if not the strongest of them - has its perks at times. Like being able to consult with the Sorcerer Supreme.

"Y'know, you could come with me, whenever I get to meet him. Since you already reached to Hell, between the two of yous, surely joining forces would be best."

And if he offended Willow a bit with his light paternalizing, he just affirmed his trust in her magical abilities.
Willow Rosenberg "Would you?" Willow is pleased. "Even just to meet him would be great." After all the odds of her being with them were so small.

She immediately was serious then. "I don't think I can do permanent protections. Temporary already takes some time. Besides, temporary I can make them slightly more powerful at the cost of time. I presume you mean to use in the final battle, not in general?" She really needs more parameters.
Clint Barton "Of course, I would," Clint replies, smiling. He can be a jerk at times, but he's not leading people around with lies.

He too is serious for a moment, thinking of the possibilities, of Plans B and C. By the time he answers her question, he's down to Plan E.

"Yup, exactly. I expect for the final showdown, when I have to hight-tail the heck outta there."

There a clause in the deal he was offered, which would require a tricky way to get out of there swiftly. Although he's not mentioning it now - he didn't accept any deal at this point - it is the major point to address.

"Either enough timely protection, or a way back from Hell, would be perfect."
Willow Rosenberg "Well.." Willow pondered. "If it's a short period of time it should be alright. I mean, you are not going down there for a week.. right?" She definitely couldn't make one for that long!!
Clint Barton The archer chuckles at that, "No way. A few hours, then back home. The faster, the better."

He then finishes his coffee, seemingly getting ready to leave. Willow has to study!

"I know this can take some time to prep," he says, "If you need anything, lemme know. On my side, I'll try to contact the Sorcerer and let you know if and when we can meet him."
