Andrea The doors to the coffee bean open up to reveal Andrea Jackson striding through and heading for the line of thirsty and hungry customers. She is almost instantly recognizable for anyone that has a TV, a radio, or a subscription to Spotify. It's no secret that she haunts this particular coffee shop and thus the baristas barely blink an eye. As usual, there is a low murmur amongst the crowd of partons as they lift their phones to snap pictures or video, softly whispering to each other. Celebrity. Mutant. Some positive, some disgust. It's been a journey for her, but there is always work to do when it comes to building a bridge between human and mutant relations.

Today she is dressed in a pair of slim jeans, a pair of white Addidas and a cute white top with a pink heart on the front. On it is written: Mutie Cutie. A fashion line her label partnered with.

As she taps away on the glass of her phone, she shuffles forward as the line moves, quietly bobbing her head to the sound of music in her ears from the expensive pair of Pods she wears.
Samuel Guthrie Samuel Guthrie comes in just a bit after that. Sam has been out on some errands, and thought he would stop in. He has seen Andrea has a cup from here on a regular bases, so might as well see what draws her to the place. He looks about as he steps in chuckling a bit as he spots Andrea.
Juggernaut The rear of the coffee shop suddenly seems to fill up with the presence of the newcomer as he emerges from the back hallways leading to the rest rooms and emergency exits. He's big on a scale that can only be described as a human mountain range. With an immensity that implies that he ate the defensive line of the New York Giants, topped it off with the current Yokozuna and then came back for seconds with the current bodybuilding line up of the past few Mr. Olympia's with a side of World's Strongest Man competitions.

By the way, he's huge.

He's dressed surprisingly well with custom fit clothing in the form of a brown jacket and a dark shirt and slacks that..do nothing to hide his outrageous physique and monsterous body. The floor rumbles ominously from his heavy footsteps as he makes his way from the back while casually adjusting his clothes and heading for an unoccupied table. Dark shades hide ice blue eyes and ihs red hair is almost mullet like, uncut from being neglect but still neat looking along with the rough unshaven stubble along his brickish jaw. Little else identifies him. Aside from that bigness that is.
Andrea Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap. Andrea's thumbs brush along the glass screen of her high end iPhone 20, or whatever is the current model. As she feels the floor rumbling beneath her, she glances upwards and over towards the source. As her eyes land upon the sight that is Cain Marko, her brows raise upwards slowly. He is instantly recognizable from her time at Xavier's when she was in the training program.

With a hard swallow in her throat, she ducks her head back down and shuffles forward again. She catches sight of Sam behind her in the line a few customers back and lobs him a text message.

<< I really hope he's just here for coffee and not to rob the place. >>
Samuel Guthrie Samuel Guthrie will pull his phone out when it buzzes. He has already noticed the mountain who walks coming into the room. He frowns a bit and scans the room to plan a bit for if things go south, and he has to engage Cain. He will look down at the text and type back. << Lets hope so. If not your on civilians>> He tells her. He does send a quick text to the mansion as well. Letting them know whats up but no violence yet. So they can be prepared if needed, but does make sure to tell them not to come rushing in yet.
Juggernaut Ever seen that old Pixar film, Finding Nemo? There's a moment when Marlin and Dory turn to see an immense great white shark, Bruce, looming right there infront of them and then slowly smiling with huge teeth fully bared.

Andrea might be experiencing that right now.

The behemoth is suddenly behind her as she texts Sam. He peers down at her from a height that practically seems like it should be vanishing into the rafters above. It's like being noticed by an earthquake or a tsunami.

His mouth is stern looking at first but it slowly creaks into that great white shark like smile as he looks her over. His very presence is causing other patrons to sloooowly give berth as if there was an aura of menace acting as a literal forcefield that was gradually shoving everything away from them both.

"....Hello."
Andrea As she turns around at the voice, Andrea stares upwards into the face of the shark like smile that is Cain Marko. Where most people would flinch, she just settles her gaze into his. There is something behind her eyes, a quiet confidence and a rumbling beast in her throat. She slides her phone into her back pocket, then says in a smooth tone of voice.

"Hello, Mister Marko. Can I buy you a drink or a danish? It's on me."

Her dark eyes only briefly glance past his large frame to Sam in the line, then back upwards towards his eyes as she holds his gaze. She steps backwards as the line suddenly grows a lot thinner as others have decided to take their business elsewhere. She's now next in line. She gives him quite the sideglance before she turns, striding forward to the counter as she reaches out to put a hand on the barista's to calm her.

"Hey Lisa. Can I get my usual please and whatever he is having."

The girl looks from Andrea, to Cain, then back to Andrea, her body trembling just a bit, nervous. The popstarlet gives her an encouraging smile. "I got this." Shes says softly to her, squeezing her hand, then slips her wallet out of her pocket.
Samuel Guthrie Samuel Guthrie will hold the door for a few people who are leaving. He would prefer the young lady be the ones helping them, but since she has Cain's attention he helps them. He then moves back to stand in line behind Cain, his arms crossed. He is not going to start this unless he has to, but does make a plan for if he has to.
Juggernaut There is a dead and heavy silence as the giant man just looks at Andrea. Sam, on the other hand, isn't given any more notice then anyone else is but either way the heaviness in the room seems to increase as the giants smile diminishes ever so slightly. Then it returns and Cain peers more closely at Andrea as if studying her. Then..suddenly, perhaps surprisingly,.

"I like yer music. It's good stuff! I'm fan." A small notepad has been produced pinched between enormous fingers, "I've got wide musical tastes. Mind an autograph?"

He considers something and slowly inclines his head to add curiously, "..Mmmm...you know my name?"
Andrea "I'd love to give you an autograph. I can even do you one better. If you hang tight until we get outside, I'll get you an autographed vinyl from my car. I carry a box of them on me and I like to go to the local music store and I swap them out once in awhile so that fans can get a nice surprise when they go shopping."

As the barista takes scribbles down her name on her large cup, followed by producing a cherry bearclaw, she looks up nervously at the large man. "C.. Can I take your order, please?"

Giving Lisa an encouraging smile, Andrea pats her hand, then looks back towards the large man. "I do. You were on the news a few times. Instantly recognizable. I know a little something about being famous and on the news, and I make it a job of mine to know who is who. You never know who you may bump into in the VIP room at one of Stark's parties."
Juggernaut "Hmm..Oh yeah?" Cain's done a pretty good job of keeping his identity as Juggernaut and Cain Marko a seperated thing. In fact it's worked to his advantage before when heading into a fight..particularly fights he wanted to start. So this is mildly concerning. However, recognition doesn't seem to be happening with everyone else. As far as most of them are concerned he's just a huge menacing looking guy. Probably a mutant. The lack of them outright panicking is helping.

Still, it does cause him to purse his lips slightly...looking skeptical for an instant at Andrea. But there's no reason to presume more then what she's said. He was out for abit after all. He'll have to check reports on what happened with that missing time that ended up him in a cage next to Deadpool. It won't do to have civilians able to call him out by name..

"Fair enough. Alright. And yeah, maybe I will take you up on that vinyl. " His attention then drifts over to Lisa, eyes squinting at her before he just shakes his head and waves her off, "I'm good. Go on. Not like I'm about to eat you or something."
Andrea "You're good? Nothing at all?" Andrea asks Cain as she slides over a pair of twenties to Lisa. More than enough for her food and a generous tip. "You're here in a coffee shop just to breathe in the scent of coffee?" There is a hint of teasing in her voice as she navigates the conversation as smooth as butter. She's a pro. "Lisa, two more cherry bearclaws, please. I'm going to have my friend addicted to them. They're the best in the city."

Lisa glances back up at Cain and his statement, then lets out a breath as she shuffles to the counter to start collecting the trio of bearclaws, then works on Andrea's drink.

Shuffling to the side and out of the way, the popstarlet heads to a table nearby the counter and takes a seat, giving a motion for Cain to join her. She starts to unwrap one of the danishes, nudging the other two to the chair in front of her. "Trust me, you'll love these."
Juggernaut "Maybe I'm not ready to order anything now. I might be waiting on someone.. Might be planning on getting something shortly..or on my way out." responds Cain, eyes hooding slighlty but smile remaining. There's an unspoken warning of not teasing or testing him to hard here. To tread carefully even with the light jabs.

But the hint of shadow is there and gone again as he steps over towards the table and looks down at the indicated seat. A quick glance reveals whether or not to trust his gargantuan weight to it and he opts to stay standing for now. "Truth is..I'd already had something before you saw me. Was on my out before I saw you.."

His massive hand reaches down and he retrieves the first of the offered bearclaws. "Yeah..these are good."
Samuel Guthrie Samuel Guthrie will find a seat across from them on the other side of the shop, after making an order. He is not the only one left, there are always some looky loos. He tries to keep his calm, but yea he is worried about Andrea, she is family after all.
Andrea "That's a lot of maybe and mights." Andrea says as she smiles at the drink that is delivered to her. She gives a smile to the barista, then takes a sip from it happily. It's a pink and white swirly drink. "This is my favorite coffee shop by the way." She says to Cain as she tears a piece of the bearclaw off in her fingers. "It's in the heart of all the action, but still remains very simple. Unlike the Starbucks that overcharge for pretty much sugar water, they bake all their pastries in the back and they have a lot higher quality ingredients for their drinks."

"I'm glad you like the bearclaw." She pops her piece into her mouth, giving a few quick chews and a swallow. "So, you're a fan?" Her brows lift upwards with a warm smile. "What's your favorite song of mine? I can give you some background behind them if you want."
Juggernaut "What can I say. I like seein' folk who don't stop easy. Gettin' attacked in public the way you have.. plus your career. I got an ear for good music. Dazzler's my girl.."

Cain inclines his head slightly and slowly smiles again, teeth lightly showing before adding, "I don't usually do small talk though or sit for history lessons. Just thought I'd pay you a compliment. I'll be heading out.."

Sam, oh Sam. His presence and the attention he's giving the conversation hasn't gone unnoticed now. Cain's ice blue eyes flicker in the direction of Guthrie and his deep voice rumbles, slyly, "Wouldn't want to upset yer boyfriend more.."
Samuel Guthrie Samuel Guthrie does get his tea and sips it. He figures Cain probably does recognize him, but being the "Kid X-man" to the other he is not a worry perhaps. So he keeps his spot, and trys to be subtle, but well it does not always go that way.
Andrea "Dazzler is signed to my label by the way. I just finished a tour with her. She was my opening act at Madison Square Garden a few months ago. Was an incredible performance. She even brough the roller skates out." Andrea says as her smile curves upwards at him.

"My boyfriend isn't here. He has red hair and red wings. Lots of feathers. He's my backup singer in our band. We were on TV during New Years Eve. You'd have seen him. He's currently in school at the moment." She takes a long sip of her drink, giving another glance to Cain over the rim of it. "I only date mutants. No flatscans for me." She says in an even tone as a light rumble echos in the back of her words. "They can't keep up with my lifestyle or needs."

As she rises upwards, she gives a long stretch of her body. "You still want that record? My Tesla is parked across the street."
Juggernaut He tried it. Old habits die hard and it's hard to not needle occasionally - but neither took the bait. Sam remained stoic and unflabbable and Andrea remained cool, confident and together.

"Yeah, I figured." Cain remarks in response to her comments about who she dates and keeping up with her. "And Dazzler opened for you eh? No foolin'? Huh."

He looks the young lady over with a slightly more elevated opinion now. His look both appraising and thoguhtful.

Finally he rumbles, "Naw, keep it. Sounds like it'll do a better job making someone in some record shop happy. I think I got what I needed."
Samuel Guthrie Samuel Guthrie does wince a bit as he drinks his coffee, as he did not notice they gave him the evil hot version not the sweet ice tea that is good. He sips his hot coffee and looks for sugar to add to it.
Andrea "And miss out on a chance of giving an autograph to my /biggest/ fan? In the literal sense of course. I have a lot of mutant friends but none of them are as huge as you. I really wish you would get drafted by the Raiders by the way. I'm from the Bay Area. Black and Silver, baby. I'd love to see you chuck a Cowboy across the field and show those smug bastards how to run it down mid." Andrea plucks up her drink and slips from her seat with a grin.

"And yes, Dazzler opened for me. It's her comeback tour and she wanted to start off small. Being that she is my idol and literally the reason why I even bother to breathe, I jumped at the chance to work with her. You have no clue what she means to me as a mutant. She paved the way for someone like me."

As she starts for the door, she slips her hand into her pocket to dig out her keys, then pushes a button as the white Tesla X across the street flashes it's lights. "One autographed album of Neon Dreams coming up!" She calls over her shoulder to him. "Is it cool if I get a selfie with you? I promise I won't post it on Insta without your permission."
Juggernaut Even now in these quieter moments, Cyttorak craves destruction and the lack of physical conflict draws some tugging at Cain's innermost being.. But Sam doesn't rise to the occasion and no other outlets are present. So Cain keeps it cool and after eyeing Sam abit longer, turns his attention towards Andrea as she finishes speaking. He arcs an eyebrow and then bot eyes narrow slightly at her request. "A selfie?"

It's a digital age. It's not like he's not on everyones smartphone and camera anyway given the size and look of him. He can hardly catch everyone snapping a quick video or picture just for the spectacle of it all.

"Hrn.." he rumbles before finally nodding, "Alright, fine.. Not like I'm not showing up on some page or some kids stupid meme anyway.."
Samuel Guthrie Samuel Guthrie will move a bit to watch them but keeps inside for now, he tries to keep a direct line between him and the other, but it seems Cain maybe on one of his better behavior streaks.
Andrea "At least people on the Internet don't make comments about you being fat because they catch you eating a burrito in public. You should see the comments I get. Everything from burn in hell mutie scum to oh my gawd, what a ho-bag. I think I get a lot of crap for someone without a sex tape. I almost want to make one just so I can get knock it off the celebrity checklist early."

Once Andrea steps outside, she smiles at the warm sun against her face, then heads over to her car once there is a pause in traffic. She taps a button on her keyfob as the trunk opens. There's a few boxes back there, some covered by blankets, but with writings on it: Canned Foods. Jackets. Blankets. Shoes. She rustles into a box without writing on it and slides out a vinyl that has her autograph on it in silver marker and has been re-wrapped so not to damage it. Once the door is closed, she turns towards Cain to offer it out, then slips her phone out of her pocket to tap the camera app on.

"If you sell this on eBay, I won't be upset." She grins.
Juggernaut "Same ones talking all that crap are probably first in line to buy your latest release. But you probably know that. You're rich. They're not."

Cain accepts the vinyl and nods his head appreciately. He probably -does- have a collection of such things, especially of Dazzler's work. Hopefully. He was out for awhile there, what with being in a stasis cage and all. Gotta check all the safehouses..

"Don't blame me if this picture comes out bad. I never said I was photogenic."

He tucks the Vinyl behind one arm and then leans over with the other for the selfie. He curls his free arm up and flexes, sending a bicep the size of a Buick bounding up and casting shadow over Andrea from the sheer size of his limb.
Samuel Guthrie Samuel Guthrie smirks a bit and will watch a bit of pride showing in his face, as Andrea is handeling this well in his opinion.
Andrea As she leans in close to him, Andrea gives her award winning smile upon her face as she angles the phone just right to capture both of them, as well as that bicep. She even slides her free hand around it just for a size comparison, and to make some people jealous. She clicks the button a few times to ensure there is a couple of shots in her camera roll, then gives him a grin.

"You're probably right by the way. A lot of my haters probably spend more time and money on me than they should. But, maybe one day that won't be an issue, right? I long for a day in which humans and mutants can just vibe together and not get all worked up for something as silly as fur, scales or a twist of genes." As she scrolls through the feed with a critical eye, she launches what is the best photo in the bunch and shows it to him. "That's the money shot, handsome. You got a great smile. I have a saying by the way. Smiling increases face value. It's probably the best weapon one can have in their arsenal. A warm smile. It's disarming. When people shout their trash at me, or throw bottles or bullets, I just smile back to them and I tell 'em I love 'em."

As she taps along the glass of her phone with a quick edit to the photo to add some blur in the background so that their smiles can be front and center, she says, "Nine out of ten times, they feel like crap they even tried to hurt you if you don't react with violence. It's one of the things I've had to learn along the way." She says as she glances up at him. "That and it'd be terrible to show up on TMZ and have mother's freak out about Disney star Andrea Jackson accidently eating someone in the middle of the street."
Juggernaut "You got other options you know..." says Cain. The proverbial devil on the shoulder, so to speak. "You don't owe anyone anything, after all.."

He let's that linger to be interpreted as one wishes and then turns and gives an idle wave. Apparently the conversation is over. Not like he came out here looking to be a socialite after all. It just sort of happened.

"See ya around." he rumbles and then he begins to make his way down the street.
Samuel Guthrie Samuel Guthrie will move to talk to the lady at the counter, to reassure her when it seems Cain is leaving that things will be ok, and it seems to be safe and sound now.
Andrea "Probably do, but smiling gets me a seven figure paycheck." Andrea says crisply as she watches him head off. "Nice to meet you! Take care of yourself." She calls out before she turns back to her car, opening the driver's side to slip in. Once settled, she takes her phone out and taps along the glass.

<< Never a boring day in New York, right Sam? >>
