Owner Pose
Conner It is dawning over the Savage Land when Rose and Conner finally get to the plane. They have looked better. Clothes torn, frogman goo, tired and beaten up. They are uncharacteristically quiet.

What happens in the Savage Land stay sin the Savage Land.

They are not going to talk about the lake, man-eating dinosaurs and particularly not about the frogmen. Kal-El should never know. He would ground Conner until he is 30. Slade should never know. He would ground Rose until she is 35, but he would murder Conner first.

At least Rose probably has spare clothes in the plane. Conner doesn't, he will have to stay in torn red jeans. It is fine, it comes close to the Savage Land dress code.

"You can have the shower first," offers Conner, feeling like a real gentleman. Kinda.
Rose Wilson Rose Wilson changes clothes in the plane after a shower thanks to the dirt and the grime and the water and the grime in the water, because this isn't the movies, and exotic locales are god damn dirty. "Are you trying to tell me I smell?" Rose asks with a smirk. She eyes Superboy like a Frog Man who tried to attack them. She has taken a shower in the smallest, portable shower ever created on a plane, so small it's merely a hose.

Now she seems intent on getting to the bottom of the SAVAGE LAND MYSTERY, like she's one of the Hardy Boys or something and Rose takes a moment to look serious and think over what's happened, "Okay so seriously, Roxxon has an abandoned facility and it looks like they were mining or studying something or gathering junk. I think it's still /here/. Don't you think it's still here? It's worth looking for right?" she asks him.

She comes out dressed in her jeans and her new shirt and looks at Conner, "Hey, good thing I had jeans in the back. Do you want one of my shirts? Maybe you could wash it," she snickers.
Conner Conner will take the shower just after Rose. Lets not talk about smell, he has super-senses, okay? This means he can hear Rose over the noise of the water, though. He steps off the shower bare-chested. Too warm to wear the leather jacket, anyway.

"Hmm... can't believe you came here knowing so little," he grumbles. But hey, he followed. Because following Rose's crazy stunts is usually fun. Except this time. Kryptonite. Aquatic man-eating dinos. The works. She owes him a big one this time.

"It better be worth something, this plane was old, but must still have taken a good chunk of your bank account." He comments, showing some uncommon insight. "We can take another look at the factory if you want. Or I can fly around and see if I find some other building. They had to move their stuff by air, so what are we missing? An helipad, maybe?"
Rose Wilson Rose Wilson hands Conner the hose as he comes in to use it and then frowns, "Hey, I go where the opportunities are," she explains, "It's all here waiting for us to figure it out. Don't complain you have to do a little work, geez," she adds.

"Yeah well, I pulled in a few favors and borrowed a few of Dad's things. It all works, doesn't it?" she complains, "Well maybe you're right, I didn't see any trucks. How did they move stuff?"
Conner If Conner knew who Rose's dad really is, he might be a tiny bit concerned about the girl's 'borrowing dad's things'. He won't ask the questions right now, though. The crashed plane could maybe be repaired if they had spare gear and a landing strip. But they do not. It is pretty much totaled. Unless Conner gets some yellow sun beams and hauls it off. Unlikely in the South Pole in spring.

"We better find out, hmm? No trucks means whatever they pulled out couldn't be too heavy. Just a lot of refining done. Hope it is not just kryptonite." Which would be valuable enough, but damn. Not selling that, Rose!
Rose Wilson Rose Wilson squints her eyes as she thinks over Superboy's silly reasoning, "Something not heavy...but needs a lot of refining..." she mutters, "I don't know what that could be, Conner, but we have to find out," she explains.

Climbing down out of the plane, she plops down and then looks up into the cloudy sky, "I think the weather is changing. Do you think it rains a lot here?" she wonders.
Conner Conner follows her out. He ruffles his wet hair and considers. Not really tired, despite all, and Rose looks tireless, too. So yeah, they can do some exploring right away. "Yeah, I bet it rains every day. Makes sense given the tropical weather. No problem for me, do you need an umbrella?" He teases. "C'mon, I can carry you if you want to go flying. Maybe we will see something from above."
Rose Wilson Rose Wilson gives a nod, "Okay fine, hurry up. We need to find what they were gathering up before dark," she explains. She smirks and crosses her arms indignantly, "Umbrella? Uhh no, not me. You know, if you stop talking and start flying then we'd beat the rain and have this **** figured out already. Just saying."
Conner It is dawning! Then again the light is weird in the Savage Land. Conner is pretty sure the sunlight is fake. Must be alien holograms or something. "Nag, nag, nag," mocks the young man. But sure, he takes Rose in his arms and flies up. Just telekinesis means he can't fly really fast, but the factory was just at the other side of the hill. "If I don't talk you won't hear how awesome I am," he points out.
