Talia al Ghul It is late in Manhattan, though as they say it is the city that never sleeps, the glow of neon signs, the pools of bright white light illuminated by the street lamps, and the towering skyscrapers with the illuminated windows dotting the structures make certain that the city streets are illuminated.

The scene begins out front of a high0end apartment building in downtown Manhattan, not far from Central Park, in fact. A black armored SUV sits out front, waiting for its passenger, one Graydon Creed, returning from whatever business he was attending in this upscale building, and no doubt waiting to take him back to home, or office, depending on the politician's needs.

This isn't the normal crew he has hired, however, some of Talia al Ghul's top men wear the black suits, sunglasses, the replacements for the regular private contractors that the Senator employs. Those said contractors are currently drugged and unconscious in a cheap motel room, stripped to their skivvies, and no doubt facing a rather uncomfortable morning with even more uncomfortable questions, such as what happened? How did we get here? But at the SUV, everything appears status quo for the Senator's detail.
Graydon Creed Opening the door to the SUV and slipping inside without even looking at the men around him the Senator closes the door to the vehicle and says sourly, "To the hotel, please. I need drink so strong it would smash the Hulk." leaning his head back on the opulent leather seat and loosening his tie. "I swear it's like these people don't know what a mayor is for. Pressuring me to pressure him isn't better than them just doing it themselves. They are the voters. Freakin liberals." he mutters with his eyes closed as he waits for the car to pull away.
Talia al Ghul Off the SUV goes, taking to the New York Streets and driving along. It would be easy to assume that it is indeed headed towards the Hotel that the Senator has instructed them to go to. It may not be noticeable at first, but the SUV is not in fact going to the hotel, taking a few discrete turns to take the SUV in a direction noticeably away from the hotel and down towards the waterfront.

Sometime after the SUV starts this detour, whether the Senator notices the change in course or not, the bulletproof privacy partition between front and back is closed, and the SUV will shortly after pull into a darkened parking lot, notably absent are Cameras, or lights of any kind beside the headlights of the SUV.

It would be logical that the Senator might notice something is up by now, if he had not noticed previously, but emerging from the shadows, is Talia al Ghul, wearing a snug black bodysuit, zipper in the front partially undone, a mask covering her nose and mouth, and a hooded cowl worn over top of it all. She steps up to the SUV, on the opposite side that Graydon occupies, waits a moment for the 'click' of the lock to open as the driver triggers it, then opens the door and steps into the car without a word.
Graydon Creed Creed noticed almost right away because the drivers didn't put on his music when he got into the car. They know he likes his music. But what could he do? So he waited patiently quietly as if he was relaxing while he slips a small 2 shot pistol out of the security holster and into his pants pocket. He makes a mental note to self: Put explosives under the seats in the front of the car...

When the lady is let in the car he sits up and straightens his tie once more like he's meeting yet another disgruntled housing baron with a problem. "Good evening." he says simply as he waits for her to get inside the car and close the door. He doesn't seem all that afraid. Most people in his position would be practically wetting themselves or offering money to be let go. He's taking it all in stride like a man who plans on waking up from this bad dream.
Talia al Ghul "Your associates have been inquiring after me." Talia says to Graydon, the SUV begins to move once again, starting to back out of the lot and return to the streets once more as it begins to drive through the city. "They have not been particularly subtle? or informed with their questions." She adds as she settles back into the seat, her attention remaining largely upon the Senator.

"You can call me Leviathan, I represent certain interests that you have been looking into, and I decided I would give you the courtesy of speaking with you before deciding how to respond to these inquiries into my business. So, speak." She says, offering a slight gesture towards the man, handing the floor to him so to speak.
Graydon Creed Leviathan, Leviathan, Leviathan... The senator wracks his brain but finds nothing, "I'm sorry, I deal with a lot of shady criminal organizations. It is New York, could you be more specific?" he asks as he turns to face her more fully, eyes lingering on her breasts for a moment before moving up to her eyes.

"Were you hit men hired to kill me or someone I was going to hire for some reason? I didn't bring my day planner." he says crossing his legs on the seat so he isn't man-spreading at her. He honestly seems to have no idea what she is talking about. How strange his life must be.
Talia al Ghul Talia al Ghul leans forward to lightly tap on the partition, gesturing lightly towards the side of the street when the partition opens before settling back into the seat, nodding her head faintly towards the Senator, "If that is the case, then we have nothing further to discuss." She says, "Perhaps your agents are being overzealous in who they are looking for. You will not have to worry about that much longer." She says.

"I cannot speak for your attentions, but if you were someone I wished dead we would not be speaking, and you would not be alive, you can sleep easy with that knowledge, Senator." Talia says to the man as the driver of the SUV begins to slow down.
Graydon Creed The Senator thought as much if they had wanted to kill him they could have just gassed the back with him in it. "Wait, if I sent people after you I must have had a reason. I don't remember hearing about a Leviathan. Are you a new player on the scene? Your organization seems effective. You don't seem unreasonable or insane. So let's talk. Maybe we can work something out. If there is going to be a new gang in the state I need to know so I can minimize civilian casualties." he says but also so he can have access to skilled hired killers. "Please, tell me what's going on, how can I help make your life in my state easier and hopefully, less bloody?" he asks reaching over and picking up one of his campaign buttons from the 4th of July event. "How can I win your vote and the vote of your people?" he asks.
Talia al Ghul Another gesture is given by Talia towards the driver and the vehicle starts to accelerate once again as it continues to drive the streets of New York City. "What is going on is of no concern of yours, my affairs are of no concern of yours." Talia says to the Senator, "If there is bloodshed it is for a purpose, and you do not need to know what that purpose is unless it directly involves you."

"If you are looking for votes, I am not one of your constituents so peddle your brand elsewhere. If you, however, have need of my services, or my organizations, then we can perhaps discuss compensation, though you will likely not enjoy paying what I would ask for our services." Talia al Ghul says as she settles back into the seat fully once more. "You reached out to me, whether you knew what you were reaching for, I question, but you have my attention for the moment so I suggest you make the most of our time together."
Graydon Creed Shaking his head a little like Talia has a lot to learn the politician says, "Fine, well, I only have a few priorities right now, finding a way to cure mutancy and meta-humans so I can remove their powers, tracking down a few specific mutants I have personal business with, and on a personal level, finding a place to train in serious hand to hand and weapons combat. " says the pasty white man with the perfect face who looks like he's never been in a fight in his life... until she looks closer. His folded, perfectly manicured hands show the signs, small scars around his knuckles which are swollen from being broken time and time again on someone else's face, his body is built well under the suit and she might realize it's very expensive armored clothing. For all of his seeming cluelessness, he has been very calm and collected for a politician. Either he is very stupid or very sure of his own capacity to survive. "I don't suppose you know an ancient mystical cure to turn a mutant back into a human, would you?" he asks.
Talia al Ghul "Mutants do not particularly concern me, they are your crusade, not mine." Talia says to Graydon with a slight shake of her head, "If there were a great mystical cure for this condition it would cost you. Dearly. But there is none that I know of." She says with a soft laugh, "If you need someone located, perhaps I can assist with that, and if you need to learn to fight, I do not think you have the commitment required for the manner of lessons I would have available. You like to have your face on television far too much, for starters. I will consider recommendations, however, and be in touch with a cost."
Graydon Creed The Senator nods and sits back in his seat uncrossing his legs like normal. He rolls the button back and forth over his knuckles, "If you are planning a serious move on power in this city, you are going to have to get political. No one stays in power without picking a side. You are under estimating what you have to offer. Just think about it. Running a drug ring or human trafficking, murdering people for money, is that really all you want to be? Just a small fish? Take it from one of the fish in the middle, the bottom of the food chain isn't a place you want to stay." he advises as he fascinates himself with the button.
Talia al Ghul Most of the Senators words are left unanswered, and the SUV begins to slow, starting to pull over onto the side of the street in a lesser trafficked part of the city. Talia will reach over and snatch the Button up, "On second thought, perhaps I shall take one of these." She says, taking it in one of her gloved hands.

The SUV parks and the engines cut off, the front doors open up and the security guards both step out, Talia departing just afterwards, leaving Graydon alone in the back of the SUV while Talia and the two guards move off, one looking would see them get into a blacked out sedan that had been discretely trailing them.

Remaining in the seat where Talia was, is a cellphone with a pre-programmed number in it, a local number. Any electronic surveillance in the SUV has been disabled, but the key's remain in the ignition, and the Button? It will be examined for anything innocuous, listening devices, electronics, etc, then, discarded out the window should there be nothing suspicious about it.
Graydon Creed Creed is surprised as they ALL leave. Seriously? Who is going to drive him home? Gah, driving his own car? The things he has to put up with! What's the point of power if you have to drive your own car? He pockets the phone to add it to his collection at home. "Why are criminals always so dramatic?" he asks himself as he gets out and closes all the doors then tries to remember how he gets home from.. Where the hell is he? He start driving quickly down the street as if he's in a panic, happily smashing trashcans and clipping into the side of parked cars grinding the armor of his SUV against them SCREEEEECH! Before turning into a back alley and ramming the SUV into a wall. He climbs out of the SUV closing the driver side door and opening the back then throws a smoke grenade into the back and lays down on the sidewalk to wait for the cops to arrive. They can drive him home.
