Owner Pose
Lytle Lytle finds it a bit difficult to fit in, but a bit of make-up to give a normal flesh tone and some large dark glasses and he can pass for normal. Well, relatively normal anyway. At least, normal enough to get on the plane. The customs inspectors at the US airports are something of a different matter. Not that there are any laws against what they assume to be mutants travelling as long as they are not wanted for crimes, but they are a bit more picky about them...just in case. So he has been checked for any persons of his description wanted for anything and had his fingerprints checked too, and had everything he is carrying searched. Fortunately there is no law against capes either. It is a pain and a hassle, but he is finally passed through. Now, how do you find a school for supers? They probably are not listed in the phone book as such.
Vanya Tucked in the shade of a parking garage on the way out of the airport, a sun-darkened woman with a mess of brown hair is eating her way through the last inches of a large foil-wrapped burrito. Besides the lack of shoes and less-than-whole state of her pants, the young woman smells strongly of bay water and her hair is matted wet against her shoulders. Taking relief from the summer heat with a sleeveless tank top, there's also the faint remnants of puncture marks almost healed on her right collar.

Looking around idly through a large pair of blue-blocker sunglasses, she pays the crowd passing around her little mind.
Lytle An announcement blares from the speakers, "Attention, flight 451 from Spain is having difficulties. Runway 3 is being prepared for an emergancy landing. Fire crews please stand by, all non-emergancy personel please evacuate the tarmac. There will be delays and reassignments of arrival gates and times until this situation is delt with."

Lytle decides this is a job for Laserlite. He throws on his costume in the men's room and runs outside. He is wearing all shades of blue, with a dark blue cape a sky blue body suit and royal blye accessories.
Vanya Vanya winces and covers her ears as the announcement echoes across the airport. The overhead speaker system gets a glare as she returns to eating her burrito but out of curiosity, the brawler does look towards the airstrip and begin to wander loosely in that direction. She can watch from beyond the fence at least.
Lytle OK, so wearing a costume soes not automaticly get you onto the landing strip in times of need. Well, how are the guards to know a new guy is for real and not just crazy? Lazarlite runs forward, jumps into the air, and flies over the fence. He can see, on a glance back, the guard on a land line to someone. Lytle quickly lands, flying is not all that easy for him. He sees the trucks spreading foam, he thinks that will not be necessary...if this works right. The Plane is a ways out yet, but on the way down. He can not see what the trouble is at this distance...well not with his current energy reserves, but he can judge where the plane is likely to touch down. He runs in that direction.
Vanya Ducking out onto a road to walk over to an empty section of fence, Vanya steps onto the grass shoulder and plops down onto her rear to watch the landing. Looking up into the sky, her eyes latch onto the silhouette of the descending plane with an expression of mild curiosity.
Lytle Someone, a fireman probably, yells at Lytle, "Hey kid, get off the Tarmac." Lytle replies, "Not until AFTER I stop the plane." The man seems to consider, then asks, "Can you do that kid?" Lytke says, "Yes." He seems certain of it. The Fireman talks to someone on his radio, but does nnot wave Lytle off the Tarmac again. Lytle can understand doubting him, the plane weighs about 500 tons, stopping it is beyind 90% of superheroes.
Vanya Vanya raises an eyebrow as she watches the youth take his place on the landing strip and finishes the last of her burrito. The empty foil is balled up and tucked into what's left of her pockets as she hums thoughtfully.

"Hmm... definitely a hero. Magnetism? Telekinesis?" the young woman mumbles to herself, playing a guessing game while awaiting the fast-approaching landing.
Lytle Lytle waits, and even though it is not necessary he gets into a pose as if bracving himself for impact. There is discussion between the crew of the plane and the groud crew over his presence on the runway, but there is no real chance to abort the landing. The plane comes in, it is clear that the problem is the front landing gear not being deployed properly. Lytle moves quickly to be there the front of the plane should impact...and it does. The instant the plane hits him it stops dead, just stops, does not slide, does not knock him back...and is not damaged from the impact. There is a fait wash of blue light the spreads from the point of impact through the plane, but it spreads so fast and is gone so quick possibly it is not noticed. Lytle pulls himself out from under the plane and nods to the Fireman, "Hopefully there was no damage to the passangers, there should not be, but it is hard to be certain." Stopping the plane is no trick at all, just absorb the kinetic energy of the impact and feen it back into his absorption to spread the absorption through the whole plane, not just where it hit him. As the field spreads at the speed of light, no one aboard should have felt a thing.
Vanya Vanya stares at the nose of the plane as it comes in closer and closer... then suddenly stops. She blinks at the wave of light that glides down the fuselage and cocks her head to the side curiously. "Huh... never seen that before," she muses. Letting her lenses slip down the bridge of her nose, the feral brawler sets a pair of sharp yellow eyes on Lytle and studies his face and features from afar.
Lytle Lytle waves at the astonished ground crew and uses a part of the absorbed energy to quickly fly back to the terminal. His features are pretty distinctive when visible, large black eyes and blue skin, kind of like the alien in Close Encounters...though he was more grey. He has to unpack his make-up and render his skin normal tone again. At least, he managed to get attention. Hopefully he will attract it from the kind of teachers he is looking for.
Vanya Rocking back up onto her feet once the spectacle ends, Vanya watches as the hero apparent leaps away and follows his path until he disappears behind the terminal building. Glancing back only briefly to check for traffic, she tucks her hands behind her head and begins to walk back the same way she came.
