Kit Killovarras It's late night in central park and that in and of itself has it's own meaning to many different types of people. For muggers, low-lives and worse, it means the possibility of easy prey, quick money and cheap - if sometimes deadly - thrills.

For a monster that hunts monsters though? Well, it means much the same, but the hunt is somewhat different. There's a sudden scream than can be heard from somewhere dark within the park, somewhere were normal people would only go out of desperation or if they're brave. The sane know to stay away from these places.

This is where he roams tonight, a figure in all black, jeans and a hoodie with the hood pulled up high over his head. He's tall by most standards, lanky and not particularly well built, all the same, he's here, moving through the night in almost perfect silence towards where the screams had originated from.

Let the hunt begin...
Hunori A similar mindset, if not a very different approach, Seong Hunori was out on 'patrol' as the established heroes called it. Of course, she herself was wrapped in her own hoodie jacket, but it was bright pink and far more for the look of 'cute' than stealth. A lazy walk through the park with a disposable coffee cup in hand, the korean girl was humming to herself lightly when that scream originated from out in the dark.

Time to work!

The cup discarded into a nearby trashcan, Hunni was still running as she took a deep breath and released her 'empowerment', blazing lights flaring around her as her hair changed to that luminescent blonde, her outfit changing from...well, admitedly girly to her uniform that was decidedly moreso.

Still, for all its looks, the young woman gave a little grin at the rush as she surged towards the location, already feeling the rush of strength flowing through her.
Kit Killovarras As Hunori charges towards the location, the purpose of the scream would rush past her, a look of sheer panic and terror on her face as she screams something about a giant monster! It's like she's running for her life, scared beyond any rhyme or reason with only the thought of escape driving her every move.

The sight that would await the heroine is that of a tall, lanky figure in a hoodie, crouched beside a battered and bloody man, a gun on the ground nearby and a strange, violet light coming from the darkly dressed figures..... Claws?! The sound of her approach would make him pause in what he's doing, the glow slowly subsiding into the man groaning on the ground.
Hunori A clawed monster attacking someone in the park? Well...it really actually wasn't the first time she'd seen such a thing. Heck, after being taken to space and seeing the variety of alien lifeforms from manidbled horrors, to goo-based creatures and even silver guys on surfboards? This was actually getting closer to normal.

Her own gloved hands lift, a glowing light flowing from her fingers crackling with heat and energy as she spoke up a warning. The creature was wearing clothing, so that suggested it wasn't mindless...probably?

Really, she was only guesing.

"Step away from that guy before I fry you!"
Kit Killovarras The light reveals all in the end. The darkly dressed figure suddenly jerks it's head, shielding it's eyes from the light, just as the man on the grounds wounds finish closing. There's a little laugh as the figure stands up, his hands at his sides still as he muses, "Fry me then." without turning around. "But you might want to check this creep. Might have another clip somewhere on him."

He gives that a moment to sink in, then turns his head just enough for the woman to see his maw and the steel cage wrapped around it. Whatever he is, he's wearing a muzzle.

The gun on the ground about the time the figures head turns, suddenly shudders, the clip ejecting and the and emptying itself, sending the 9mm bullets harmlessly across the ground, as if some unseen hands had simply removed everything harmful from the weapon. The slide is even pulled back, ejecting the unspent bullet that had been in the chamber. "Down side is, if you fry me, you won't get any help with them..." that last comment is left cryptic, a thin smile tugging at the creatures lips, revealing his fangs for just a moment.
Hunori Well...he spoke, (it definately seemed to be a he anyway), but that wasn't really the words she expected to hear from the creature. The muzzle was...well, creepy, and now she was left looking confused between the pair, fingers closed but light shining in the gaps between them for a moment as if she'd closed her palm on the sun itself.

Stereotype or not, she'd figured the big clawed guy was the monster, it made sense for someone to shoot some sort of werecreature attacking them. Now? She wasn't sure, and she couldn't exactly stop the witness to ask her...
Kit Killovarras "Well well well, if it isn't the little lost puppy?" Comes a voice from behind Hunori, a rather loud one at that, but young. "Who's the chick? She your girlfriend, come to save ya?" Then the sound of a gun cocking rings out, and another, and several more. There's a small army of street thugs coming up on the scene, at least half of them armed with guns while others likely have bats or knives.

"Well," the creature says with a little smile, lifting his hands to his hood to pull it down, revealing fur and pointed ears of an animal which perk up and flick, swiveling a little to take in the sound of guns being readied and safeties being clicked off. "Well," he says with a shrug. "Good thing you decided not to fry me." the creature says with a tilt of his head. Now it'll be fifteen on two, instead of sixteen on one." Then he gives a swift kick out with one of his feet, knocking the groaning man on the ground unconscious fairly easily before he turns, "Think you can dim those though? Light's a bit of a bitch for me at night." he says with a playful motion to her hands.
Hunori An army of thugs out hunting...the apparent 'puppy'. Man had she read this wrong!

The snarky commnt from the creature has her shaking her head, turning to face the thugs with guns as the glowing light crackled and shifted, forming an aura of energy around her body.

"You don't want to pick a fight here with me."

She didn't generally want to fry humans if she could avoid it...but maybe they'd back off.

And if they didn't? Well, she shrugs her shoulders and surges forwards with a punch of her fist to the chest of one of the gunmen, sending him hurtling backwards.
Kit Killovarras One of the gunmen goes flying? Four more suddenly train their guns on Hunori, snapping aim directly on her. The rest of them are following suit, some of them readying to open fire when four long, whisper-thin blades of purple energy fly past the powerful woman, each one cutting a gash into a different gunner and one, splitting the barrel of one of the thugs guns strait down the middle.

"They wont back down," comes the creatures voice from behind her, "They've been after me for weeks, ever since I put their little gang's boss in prison."

He's casually walking up behind her, she'll be on her own for the burst burst of gunfire, but luckily, a majority of it isn't aimed at her.
Hunori A glowing girl, the heroine turns her hands to raise in front of her, that light surging around her forming a wall of protective energy the bullets simply flattened against as they aim at the pair. She'll hold it till the shooting stops, rippling outwards suddenly in a detonating shockwave, sending several men scattering backwards like bowling pins.

"Well, they're about to back down or break something," she speaks up, brandishing her raised hand towards the group of thugs.
Kit Killovarras The explosion gets their attention, well some of them. A few of the melee fighters get knocked on their asses, some of the gunners are down and the woefully under armed thugs with just a baseball bat? Yeah, a few of those guys take off, fight or flight is a pain in the tail when the things your fighting can make the air explode like a grenade.

"I think you overestimate their intelligence." the creature says as a couple more blades - this time eight - cut through the air. The purple lines of energy carve through the air felling some of the runners and slashing at some of the gunners.

By the end of it there are several wounded, though none dead, despite some of the worse for wear having pretty bad wounds. "Names Kit," the creature says as he finally makes it up beside Hunori, offering her a paw and a sidelong glance. "And thanks for the help."
Hunori Super strength, speed and a protective field combined with the creature who apparently had energy blades of their own, it wouldn't take much to take the group of thugs down. Eventually they'd have retreated or were out cold...or perhaps they were simply wounded enough to retreat away.

A shift, the heroine in the girly outfit blinks a little at offered paw and its noticable claws. A little tilt of her head head offered before she blinks.

She didn't have a hero name, instead pausing for a second and shrugging her shoulders. "Hunni, and uh...sorry for threatening to fry you and such..."

Akward that.
Kit Killovarras Up close, it's easier to notice that Kit's claws are dulled, each one carefully rounded by filing. He gives a little shrug as the paw goes unaccepted, still smiling as he walks over to the worst of the wounded and crouches down, his claws glowing again as he draws what look like stitches over their wounds. "It's no problem." he says with a little chuckle, his ears perking up slightly. "People see me and get the wrong impression. You're not the first," he pauses in the thought, drawing his claws away from the wound, trailing a small string of light as the wounds begin to close quickly, the flesh fusing together, leaving the skin perfectly fine after a few moments. Not even a scar! "And I'm pretty sure you won't be the last."

Then he reaches into the mans pocket and takes out a cellphone, dialing 911. "There's been a gang fight..." is all he says into it when the phone is picked up, then he clicks off the mic and sets the phone down, starting his rounds to the wounded. "That should buy us a couple minutes." he says with a smile.
Hunori Hunni wasn't a medic, hell she'd spent most of her time in front of a computer or a camera for years until recently. Left with no other options, she just tended to pull her punches where she could. Still, the healing display from Kit brings a little whistle from the glowing blonde who crosses her arms under her bust.

"Not sure I would be healing them if it were me, but...that is a handy trick."

Glancing at the phone left behind and then around the park space, the heroine moves to lean against one of the trees while the canine makes his circuit of going betweem the thugs.

"So, are you a mutant, demon, alien...? I'm not trying to be rude, it's just I've seen a lot of strangeness since..." she trails off, gesturing to herself and her unusual attire. "This."
Kit Killovarras "No one deserves the ind of scars my claws can leave," Kit says with a smile. Even if their flesh is healing, a few of them actually seem to respond to it in pain, either screaming or passing out. "Plus, I don't like the idea of someone bleeding out before the cops arrive."

After a moment he stands up, giving Hunni a glance with those glowing purple eyes of his and gives a toothy, though rather playful looking grin as he admits, "Magi, actually."

There's a little moment of pause, but eventually he sticks his tongue out just a little and adds, "And a mutant, if I'm honest. Normally people from my bloodline don't exactly look like this." He reaches into the pocket of his hoodie, taking out a bag of what - in the dark would look like nuts, possibly sunflower seeds - and pops a small handful through the gaps in his muzzle. He can't bite with it on, but he can still eat at least. "So, what's your story?"
Hunori Answers to her questions...that didn't really tell her much. Hunni actually gives a little huff of frustration at that thought before the question returned to her earns a shrug, her arms still crossed until she lifts one gloved hand to accompany the shrug. "I'm still working that out if I'm honest. A lot of this doesn't exactly come with an instruction manual."
Kit Killovarras "Never does." Kit says with a little chuckle after swallowing his food, "For one though, what you were doing? looked almost spot-on for the same magic my father uses.." He eyes her for a moment with the thought complete, then gives a little shrug and asks, "Got a phone?" with a tilt of his head. "And if so, is it NCF compatible?"
Hunori "Your father has glowing blonde hair and wears a dress that appears no matter what he's wearing?" Hunni questions, raising one glowing brow at that before his question has her frowning a little, patting herself down. "I uh...don't really have a lot of pockets either."

Not entirely true, but she only had her personal phone on her, and that one sort of had pictures that would ID her on it. Already she was cursing herself internally for not having thought to buy something disposable.
Kit Killovarras Kit shakes his head ever so slightly and gives a little smile. "Nah, he's actually bound to an old spirit, though of what he never told me." he says with a shrug. "Gave him some pretty vicious abilities whenever something near him is burning, too. Never seen him at full power though."

When she notes the lack of pockets, Kit just sort of chuckles and nods, walking towards her as he rifles around in his left pants pocket, producing a small notebook and a pencil. He writes down a number on it, then tears it off and offers it to her with a smile. "I'm assuming you're on control of your powers enough to choose what you're burning at least?" Then he offers another little smile, his nose twitching ever so slightly as he adds, "Call whenever ya need, I might even be able to help you figure out a few things if ya want."

Pictures aren't the only thing that can identify a person, but he's not going to say that, nope! Not going to say that at all.
Hunori There's plenty more that could identify Hunori, but she couldn't even manage to wear a mask with her transformation. Hopefully the glowing helped if anyone tried to snap a photograph for a comparison. Either that, or she was simply left to hope for luck!

Taking the piece of paper she nods, folding it and tucking the square into her neckline before shrugging her shoulders.

"I'll think about it, I guess?"

With the phonecall earlier, the cops weren't likely far away, but Hunni glances towards the downed thugs a moment before returning her gaze to Kit.

"That being said, we should probably be getting out of here though."
Kit Killovarras Kit just gives a chuckle, pulling his hood up as he folds his ears back. "Well, that all depends. If you want to be seen as a hero, you could stick around." he says with a shrug. "Police won't bat an eye at a pretty face with burning hands and a cute outfit. You could be a hero." Then he gives her one last look with those glowing eyes of his and offers a warm smile. "Personally though, I tend to get shot at whenever they see me, so yeah.. Probably best that I leave."

She wasn't wrong, by now sirens were on the distance and lights could be seen from where they're at. They were less than a minute off when the aardwolf starts to walk away. "Choice is yours."
Hunori A shake of her head, the girl whinces a little. "I don't really want to answer the usual questions that come with explaining the thugs and the glow and...yeah..." she trails off, choice apparently made. Turning away from the scene of the encounter she begins to walk as well, already spotting the flashing red and blue in their distance.

Of course, Hunni would have to wait till she was deeper into the woods, away from others and till Kit had seperated off before she'd finally dispel her empowerment and change back to...well, as normal as she got.
