Shredder     While most people are not aware of what is happening, it's hard to do anything in NYC without the Foot Clan's hands involved somewhere, whether directly or indirectly. So when a nation wide materials heist program starts, it's no mystery to anyone in the city that they are involved, though the question seems to remain, who are they stealing it for? Surely they aren't the only ones taking part in the process, but as insistent as they are upon their members remaining silent, it's not always easy to make sure that all of the criminal gangs paying tribute to them are equally tight-lipped.

A major shipment is going out tonight as well, and here at the industrial docks, a train is slowly chugging into the station, and an entire shipping vessel is ready. The train seemed to arrive on the docket late, and the registry has it moving in from Colorado. Maybe normally it would be a usual evening, but tonight? Tonight there's only two people registered on the dock staff. Surely someone has to be unloading this train, and the many cars that slug behind it as the brakes whine with it's slowing.
Kit Killovarras It's easy to go unnoticed, especially when you're dressed in dark clothing. In this case it's black jeans and an over-sized hoodie that surrounds the figure wandering around near the tracks, maybe some homeless teen or druggy lost in the night?

He has his paws hidden away in the pockets of his hoodie, his hood drawn up and his head tipped down, concealing everything that he is beneath the uniform of a teenage loner, but he doesn't need his vision to see.

The Aardwolf can hear the scratching of termites in their mound from hundreds of yards away, can smell them from nearly a miles distance, so when those senses are adjusted for the sake of general awareness? They can be useful.

Yup, just someone wandering by, not a curious monster hidden beneath baggy clothing... Nothing to see here!
Skye Johnson There had been an uptake with stealing. Now, normally SHIELD left the burglary for the police. But this time? If what SHIELD could make of it, this was bigger than the normal heist. And Skye drew the lucky short straw to go and check at out.

Or the lucky short straw. After all, the Birds of Prey would be interested in this as well.

Funny that. Fury just so happened to give this one to her.

It was dark. Of course. And Skye was tucked away watching the trains driving in to drop their loads off, looking for anything that was out of the ordinary.
Shredder     Soon enough a figure appears. Well, several figures appear. At least three different gangs have shown up for this, and at least two of them aren't known to get along all that well. Exiting several vans that were parked at the edge of the lot, the crew dispenses themselves, fanning across the yard. Several guns, most of them are automatic. At the same time, another figure appears, almost out of nowhere. The boogeyman himself, the Shredder, is at the docks. With so many operations happening in the city, the Shredder is known for only attending the most integral operations, which gives an obvious stamp of importance from his persective. Not only this, but Karai, his granddaughter is also present.

Several of the gang members make their way to various moving equipment. Forklifts, cranes, and flatbed trucks all start pulling up to the train as it finishes its stop. As soon as the lumbering load has come to a complete stop, the gangs swarm it like ants, as if they were in a race against the clock.
Kit Killovarras positioning himself on the opposite side of the train once it's stopped? More than likely easy enough for a creature with silent footsteps and a knack for getting around unnoticed. Getting a better vantage point quietly? Ok, that's trickier but doable and whatever is going on here has gotten this curious yeens attention.

While he still can, he's trying to get a count of the people here by scent and sound, something he's fairly good at by now, given his new nightly hunting routine near Central Park.

Slow and silent is the method for this monster at the moment, there will be plenty of time for mayhem later.
Skye Johnson Strange. Skye had never seen, in person, Shredder. Pictures, yes, but not in person. More importantly he seemed to have control of three different gangs. Not because they were together. That is for certain. But because they were told to.

The real thing was: was Shredder in charge, ultimately, or was he in the same predicament as the rest?

Quietly she watched from her vantage point.. of course she can hear anything Shredder says (or the minions) when she uses her powers.
Shredder     The Master of the Foot Clan watches, not saying much. Karai stays by his side while the grunts do their work. Kit's keen nose would count a good forty people on site, but a visible count seems lower by about ten. The crane swings over, latching onto one of the cars while the workers latch the crate on, moving the first over. Assaulting this many may be difficult directly, however, Skye's powers pick up a distinct order.

"We got two hours for this whole shipment," one particularly large man with blond hair declares. He has a record. A long one, though nothing of any particular note. The man is one Arnold Jones, more commonly referred to as Hun.
Kit Killovarras Two hours is a hell of a short deadline and the Yeen gets a little smile across his maw as he hears this. The crane will be a good target, but the yeen will need to get into range of it and right now, he's not quite there.

That doesn't mean however, that a little mayhem wont be possible before he is. After all, misfires happen, right?

There's no obvious reason for it, no subtle trail that will lead to the still wandering yeen when his will reaches out and grips a trigger assembly. It's a faint flick, safety and then a single squeeze of the trigger itself by a hand that doesn't exist. What will happen when possibly rival gangs suddenly hear the sound of a gunshot ring out?

Let the mayhem begin...
Skye Johnson Too bad for Skye. She won't know what Kit is up to. But she does have an idea of what she is facing.

40 workers. Give or take. And they have a deadline: 2 hours. But why? Have they got that before someone comes around and catches them? Or worse, someone up the ladder is waiting for their delivery? Either way, it sounds serious.

She's only one SHIELD agent, and even though she could wreak a lot of havoc, she had been told to watch, not engage. Too bad Kit wasn't aware.
Shredder     Everyone, save for Shredder, responds with a jolt as the gun goes off. Kit's plan works swimmingly well, as several armed gang members ready their weapons. Shouting between the two less friendly gangs spits back and forth, threats, cusses, and while the crane turns, it appears that everyone not operating the crane, or not on their way to the boat, seems to be rather intent on the misfire.
Hun, that mountain of a man, walks toward the misfiring idiot, and snatches the rifle out of his hand. "What are you doing?" He shoves the man in the chest, and he loses the gun. "You wanna tell the whole city what's happening here?" He shoves him again.
"I didn't do it, it went off by itself, my hand wasn't even on the trigger!" The much smaller gang member swears. As if anyone would believe that.
Kit Killovarras Well, the path to the crane is one that would take the aardwolf into danger from the looks of it and he's not willing to go for a frontal assault just yet. Maybe it's time to play with the gangsters more? It's not hard for the magically inclined creature to reach out like he did with the trigger assembly and flick a mag-latch on another of the guns.

Incompetence among ones men? Well that's an interesting way to try and play with the leaders of any criminal organization. After all, it's stressful being surrounded by idiots.

All this while trying to find a possible rout towards the crane that wouldn't involve a giant hyena jumping out of the darkness to sing showtunes.
Skye Johnson "Fuuck," Skye cursed softly. ~I'm just supposed to watch and report.~ she reminds herself. But oh boy, in the middle of whatever it was they were doing, a gang war was threatening them all. Still she doesn't see Kit. And were she, she probably would take him for someone in trouble, not the cause of all of it.
Shredder     Shredder's gangs start pointing guns at each other, despite Hun's attempt to take control of the situation, which is when the bladed leader of the Foot Clan steps forward quietly. The gang member doesn't even know he arrived behind him, but he puts his hand on the barrel of the gun, and lowers it. "I have not hired you for your squabbles," he declares in a tone loud enough to be heard, but hardly forceful. "If this delivery is met, you will all be well paid. If it is not, you will lose your affiliation." Code for 'I will kill you all.' Whatever they had been arguing about, they stop, and while they may give nasty looks to each other, they get back to work.

Meanwhile, the crane releases the first box, and swings back, lining up with the second. The forklift grabs pallets, zipping them up the ramp.

Karai, however, narrows her eyes, and she starts carefully studying the area, her attention is piqued, and she suspects something. She walks forward, drawing a ninja-to, and she starts checking the corners of the unseen regions of the shipping yard, though she hasn't announced anything to anyone else, yet.
Kit Killovarras Well, the aardwolf has been keeping himself moving at least, quiet as a mouse and mischievous as a demon. He does take note of Karai, whether through scent or sound. For the time being he'll stop messing with the gangsters, let the weirdness settle in and maybe let some nerves fray a little. What is it that could be causing all this to happen?

Just as well too, he'll need his strength if he's caught, so for now? For now he's just a homeless teenager, wandering around in dark places.
Skye Johnson Skye presses herself against the wall..Hopefully she isn't caught. Then again, Karai is a ninja. Skye is not..

Come to think of it, she wasn't moving. In fact she was quiet and still. So *who* did Karai think she was hunting. It still could be her.. or..

And it's the "or" that made her nervous.
Shredder     While Karai skulks about, the men work furiously. There are several cars to unload, and with Shredder's comment, they are rekindled to work quickly. One does not keep him waiting. One container, two, and she's gone. Karai disappears from sight, and everything, at least for the moment, seems to resume to normal, though the young protege does not show herself again, not yet at least.
Kit Killovarras Now its time to get creative. Kit has figured his course of action. He will try to board the ship! How though is the question. The aardwolf watches the ramp, studying the movements of the people on the ramp before makibg his move.

The yeen is pretty good at making himself look like he belongs, but he is good at creating distractions too through his telekinesis. a tap on a shoulder from an unseen hand here, a strange noise there.. but will it work?
Skye Johnson At least when Karai started to skulk, Skye honed in on her heartbeat. She couldn't see her - even if she were able to peek about herself! All she had was Karai's heartbeat. And it was creeping closer!
Shredder     The telekinetic nudges work. Or at least, they work for Kit. They distract enough on the ground to make the ramp clear, and he's given an opportunity to board the ramp. One of the gang members calls out the problem. "There's someone here!" he says, "Got tapped on the shoulder by...something."
"Over here! I heard somethin' over here!" They start to fan out, unaware that the problem is on the boat. Unfortunately for Skye, though, it means that her position may very soon be compromised as they start to scour the yard. Someone is getting close to her as well, someone unseen.
Kit Killovarras With his plan in motion, the aardwolf makes his way onto the boat, trying to figure out the path to the closest point to the crane. Its not his first time on a ship, he spent months on a cargo hauler to get to the US after all.

Sadly while his plan might be working he might also be screwing over another sneak.

Poor skye.
Skye Johnson ~Fuck~ As far Skye was concerned she had only moments before she would be caught. The best thing could think about was moving her position around.

Now this could be bad for Kit. She actually wasn't helping him with her problem, because it was an actual problem. But then again, maybe it would help him despite her not trying.

Skye tried to sneak out of her position, in order to find another.
Shredder     Aboard the boat, the crane can be seen as it swings another fargo container forward. The ship is not new, but it looks to be in good repair. Onboard, while the deck is not heavily populated, sounds can be heard from within the ship, very possibly the crew preparing for departure. Still, oddly, none of the ship's crew seems to be visible at all. Even the helm is unmanned at the moment.

Down on the docks, Karai grows closer to Skye, and as Skye moves, it becomes very apparent that she's been had. The female ninja sprints toward Skye's location, rounding the corner with sword drawn, and several gang members, while not coordinating with her movements, are nearby, a minefield of people to avoid for the SHIELD agent.
Kit Killovarras Well well, an unmanned helm, a stationary ship and a crane nearby? Now the chaos can begin!

Kit pulls back his hood, holding out his hands as crackling violet electricity surges across his skin and fur, arcing out through his clothing. He's pouring what energy he can without crippling himself into throwing every lever and screwing with every possible control he can both on the bridge and in the crane operators cabin!

He's entirely unaware that someone may be about to get caught, but he's also aware that more than likely, he's about to become the center of attention for a LOT of gunfire and he's as prepared as he'll ever be for that.
Skye Johnson Okay. Time to review this plan.

She's been caught so no bother anymore to be sneaky. Which with her next move much easier: fight. Skye turns around and begins to advance on Karai with her arms extended.

"Move out of my way." She doesn't sound frightened, in fact she sounds calm. Karai might have swords, but Skye has powers, and it's debatable if Karai will be able to fight her.
Shredder     "Who are you?" Karai demands, her sword at the ready. "You are not welcome here. You are going to come with-" She doesn't get to finish her demand for surrender.

The surge strikes the crane, and as Kit takes control of it, the crane begins to swing back and forth. stopping and starting as the operator begins fighting with Kit's telekinetic powers. The cargo box swings powerfully that it had just attained, and there is a creak of the crane's struts. The hands on the dock rush for cover as the several ton crate wrenches the crane forward, the momentum powerful enough that it cannot stop it as it's forcibly turned by the momentum, the crate headed for the side of the ship. Look out, agent of chaos, the chaos is coming for you.
The ship itself is not so easy to turn on. Controls are needed throughout the ship to be able to bring it to life, and needed in a certain order. Good news? Skye isn't the center of attention anymore!
Kit Killovarras Well, good news for the Aardwolf that he wasn't able to get the engines turning, but at very least he has fucked up the crane. He'll call that a day and with that container swinging strait for where he's at? Kit suddenly turns, bolts for the opposite side of the ship and takes a flying leap off into the water!

He's not aqua man, but he can swim fairly well, or well enough to get himself away so long as the foot clan don't have a freaking dive team that can come after him. With the crane pretty well borked and a possibility of the ship being too damaged to use from the cranes movements, his job here is done.
Skye Johnson Ah.. damn. Someone is doing.. something? Regardless..

"Me?" Okay, *here* should be when she identifies herself as a SHIELD agent. She doesn't. "I'm Quake." And with that she used her powers on the lower members of the gangs, leaving her and Karai alone.
Shredder     The noise is deafening as the metal on metal collision rocks the boat to one side slightly. The whip of steel cable can be heard as it strains, and then snaps. The monstrous box collapses, revealing a massive impact dent on the deck of the ship, and it slides down to strike the dock again. Such an impact takes a chunk out of the concrete platform which collapses into the water, and a wake comes from the side of the ship, pushing Kit farther away from it.

Karai, when Skye blasts her minions away, lunges forward, no hesitation in attempting to end Skye quickly. Her strike is decisive, aimed straight at the throat. It seems she did not take kindly to the refusal to surrender.
Skye Johnson Tsk tsk.

Without breaking her concussive blast, Skye quickly turns it onto Karai. "Fuck off. I have met people like you, and frankly you don't scare me." Well, maybe a tiny weeny bit. She does not blow Karai back, but holds her in place.

Fury should have made this a bigger deal. As it was, she was going from her gut alone. ..And no back up. Oops?
Shredder     Karai stops in mid swing, inches from her completed strike. Her teeth clench as she tries to press against the hold. She presses hard, and yells out a battle cry, but it's all to no avail. She breathes hard, like an animal on a leash as she attempts to get to Skye. Still, no avail.
"I'll kill you! Let me go," she snarls angrily, the normally coolheaded second to Shredder rather enraged by her inability to move.
Skye Johnson "Really. You expect me to. Really?!"

Skye looks around to find a place where she can let Karai be without having her attack Skye. Finally she decides upon just regular ships containers just within her reach. Aiming to leave Karai in a mess of them, while Skye took off.

"Okay. You asked for it." Karai is slammed into the containers, and several others were put on top of her.
Shredder     Karai looks up, sheltering herself and rolling back into the container as she is closed into it with the additional shipping containers smashing into the one she is not trapped mostly within. It's quiet for a moment, as they settle.

It's quiet until Skye may suddenly be aware of something that is gainst her throat that was not a moment ago. It may be so subtle that it's not completey certain when it arrived, but a tekko nagi is against Skye's neck.
"SHIELD's presence was not requested," comes the voice from her 8 o'clock position. "Agent..." The Shredder isn't known for being sparing, The number of personal lives that he's ended himself would be difficult to count. He certainly doesn't keep track, and most other people wouldn't be aware of them all. He pauses his sentence, clearly expecting Skye to finish with her name. He's quiet and controlled, and where his presence was hardly existent a moment ago, he's now very tangible, the kind of man no one could miss entering a room.
Skye Johnson Oh shit!

Karai was easy enough to get rid of. But her grandfather is another thing altogether. And he held his tekko nagi against her jugular.

"Nobody expects SHIELD." Well, she's right. To a point. "Agent Johnson. Skye."
Shredder     "/Agent/ Johnson," Shredder answers, applying a little more pressure to the throat so that vibrations might actually cause it to cut rather than prevent, a risky situation.

His heartbeat is stable and steady, unconcerned and like iron. "You come here alone, then? I recall your escapades during the global blackout. That was you, wasn't it?" he asks. "A change in heart? Serving the corruption you once sought to eradicate? Such a sad fate."

Like a statue, his form doesn't move, and his eyes shift to her gloves. "Remove the gloves," he says. "Slowly." He doesn't know what they do, not precisely. But he can tell they have some kind of technological advantage to them, and he doesn't have a particular desire to let her keep that advantage.
Skye Johnson Skye was caught. Well and truly caught.

"It was a job." Which one does she mean though? That was the question. "It was all over the news. So what?" And because of that SHIELD really went balls to the walls in security. After.

The bracers were an integral part of her powers. Sure she could use them without the bracers, but at risk of fracturing her entire arms depending on what she did. Without them she would have to be careful; she would have one chance to break free.
Shredder     The breath of the Shredder bleeds through the shozuko mask as he stands. He doesn't speak further to comment on the job, and he doesn't repeat his command, just waiting for her to comply. The only additional incentive is a further twist of the blade, puncturing the skin ever so slightly to draw blood.

Some of the remaining gang members from elsewhere start to arrive, guns at the ready, but they hang back when they see Shredder personally engaged in the situation.
Skye Johnson The blood trickles down as Skye takes off her bracers and tosses them away. Hopefully they will be forgotten by the Foot, and will give a clue as to what happened to Skye.

"There. I've removed them." And she holds up her arms to show that they are gone completely.
Shredder     No such luck, though, as Shredder nods to one of the gang members, who retrieves them, looking at them curiously, completely clueless to their nature. "Excellent."

Shredder doesn't waste another word, but once they are gone, his other hand comes up swiftly with a glancing blow of the bladed bracer he wears, a strike with the dull side of it for a knockout.
Skye Johnson Skye had a pretty good idea of what was next. Unfortunately the Foot gathered her bracers.. and perhaps the next iteration will have a tracker, but not so now. With a groan as the knife handle hit her she drifted off to lala land.
