Remy LeBeau "Ah jus' don' get it," Remy complains shaking his head. "De sun not even down yet. How yah gonna 'ave trick or treaters out when de sun still up. Go agienst de 'ole spirit of de t'ing." The Cajun grouces as he fills the large bowl with another bag of miniature chocolate bars. Remy is dressed as a Vampire, though more like something from Anne Rice rather then Bram Stoker. Still he gets to have his sunglasses off, the one time of the year when those demonic red on black eyes don't get a second look. "We turning our kids inta whimps.
Riana Mackenzie      The answer to Remy's question comes in the form of a bony hand darting into the candy bowl, with the speed and accuracy of a serpent striking its prey. An eerie sort of cackling fills the air as a few miniature candy bars are purloined from their pottery prison, unwrapped, and sent on their merry way to Riana's stomach. "Oh, I don't think we are," she mutters, around a mouthful of chocolatey goodness. "We're just finally getting a chance at our fair share of the candy, that's all." Her costume is fairly elaborate, with a regal-looking, ebony silk gown, black tights, and boots, the front of which are all painted with a detailed, realistic-looking rendition of the wearer's skeletal structure. Her face has been made up in sugar-skull style, and she grins at Remy.
Remy LeBeau Remy LeBeau smirks, "Ah mean not ta make mahself sound like mah pappa, but when Ah was a kid dey give us a pillow case and told us be back foh midnight." He says and smirks at Raina shaking his head. "Now yah keep eating all de Snickers an' yah not 'ave room foh dinner. Just 'ave ta share it wit' Jack." Jack has been made up too, in a red and white sweater, a Jolly roger flag attached to his too long tail, and an eyepatch over his empty eye socket.
Riana Mackenzie      "And that was -how- long ago, m'love?" Riana snickered softly as she well, ate a Snickers. Her appetite was no big secret. There would be plenty of room for supper, despite the decadent delights that seem to be disappearing at fast clip. "Sounds familiar," she says, nodding and reaching down to scritch Jack's ears. This only gets the Jolly Roger rather jolly, as Jack stas wagging his tail madly. "I usually came home with a very full pillowcase. What about you?"
Remy LeBeau Remy LeBeau smirks a little bit. "Ah do okay. Course Mrs. Pottswort' always insist on inspectin' mah candy first. Ah couldn' 'ave it till de next day. Sack always seem a lot lighter afterwards 'owevah." He says with a shake of his head. "Ah do miss dat old woman." He smiles as Jack's Leathal tail goes into action. "So what we watch 'fore de kids start arriving? An' not dat Burton movie again we watch it t'ree times already.
Riana Mackenzie      "Ha. Funny, my pillowcase was always a lot lighter after the candy was inspected by my da." The level of candy in the bowl also seemed to be going down at a steady pace, too, with every strike of those bony fingers resulting in another 'kill'. "Well, let's see... there's 'Hocus Pocus', 'The Brain That Wouldn't Die', 'Storm of the Century', 'Rose Red'... any of those sound good?"
Remy LeBeau Remy LeBeau tilts his head and sighs and places the candy bowl on top of the high cabnet out of his girlfriend's easy reach, smirking slightly. "Nevah 'eard of dat last one, he says smirking and stealing a chocolate flavored kiss before coaxing her away from the candy bowl. "We could do Michael Myers..." He says with a wicked grin.
Riana Mackenzie      It was a race to the finish line as first one eyebrow, then the other, began its trek up Riana's forehead, distorting her carefully-done sugar skull makeup in very odd ways. "What? You've never heard of 'Rose Red'? It's a Stephen King classic! Long as heck, though. When it first came out, it was released as something like a six-part miniseries or something...."

-Just- as she's reaching for one of the miniature Butterfinger bars, mention of Michael Myers stops her dead in her tracks. A shudder races visibly through her, and she shakes her head vehemently. "No. Hell no. Fuck no, and any variant in between. And same to 'Poltergeist', too."
Remy LeBeau Remy LeBeau this causes Remy to grin slowly, "Oh don' tell me yah too much of a fraidy cat ta watch some teenagers get brutally murdered." He says playfully grinning. "so what dis one like IT den? where yah get de end crdits right in de middle of de movie?"
Riana Mackenzie      "Why yes, yes I am a fraidy cat, and damn proud of it." Riana seems to bear the title with pride, kissing Remy soundly enough to well, wake the dead. "Although the Halloween movies have that really cool theme song going for them. Except the Rob Zombie abomination. That one does not exist in this dojo."
Remy LeBeau Remy LeBeau offers her a confused face. "A Rob Zombie version of 'Alloween? Yah gotta be pulling mah leg chere, next yah gonna tell me dat de Matrix 'as a triology or dat dare is an episode 7, 8 or 9 of Star Wars." He says smirking as they settle on the sofa... and the doorbell rings.
Riana Mackenzie      "Or that there is a successful reboot of She-Ra, or He-man," Riana adds, her nose wrinkling in the expression of one who has eaten a whole lemon, pith, peel, and all. For all their differences of opinion on horror movies, it seems the two nerds present a united front in many regards.

But would miniature ghosts, goblins, witches, scarecrows, and heroes of all ilk be among those things they could handle?

Riana opens the door, grinning as an apparent brother and sister pair, dressed as Superman and Captain America respectively (hey, girls can be heroes, too!), greet the couple within, pillowcases in hand.

     "Trick or treat!"
Remy LeBeau Remy LeBeau grins a bit walking over and affecting a pretty passable Count von Count accent as he takes the bowl down and is like "Vat do ve 'ave 'ere?" Grinning and smirking at the two greatest American heroes, and aiding them further in their quest towards juvinile diabetes. Then he quickly puts the bowl out of Riana's reach again. "Yah know mah Pappa met Cap once.
Riana Mackenzie      "So did I. Just once, briefly, out in the field. How'd your papa meet him?" Riana laughed and shook her head, making a show of going for the bowl, and snapping her fingers when she fails. Miserably. "I'm afraid I might have fangirled just a little in my case."

Indeed, those two mighty junior heroes were well on their way towards their quest for truth, justice, and pillowcases full of candy, by the looks of it, scampering off with their loot after a chorused "Thank you!".

The Skeleton Queen grins, crossing her arms as she watches the wee ones set off on their quest once more. "Too damn cute."
Remy LeBeau Remy LeBeau grins a bit, "Pappa knew 'im 'fore de ice actually. Worked as an expert infiltration an' retreaval consultant at de time." He grins tossing her a mini 3 musketeers and snagging one for himself. "see dat's what dey call a t'ief when he supposed ta be workin' foh de good guys."
