Peter Quill As Vitali is going on patrol, there's a small sound of glass breaking on one of the upper floors. Then... there's a flamethrower going off in there? What?

Whatever it is, it's ongoing from the lights going on and off up there.
Thea Queen      As the Lights go off and on, the presence of a masked woman is hunched and watching. Her back is cased with arrows and a bow. This might night be her particular place to watch, there had been some informants that told her something was happening.
Her face is painted black and has a mask over here eyes to cover her identity.
Given her skill, she was able to get onto the high rise and scale up the building. The flame thrower surprises her and she jumps at the sight, her reflexes are strong and she springs from position to the next.
Eyes Narrow and she watches from afar and hidden, crouched down to watch the scene.
Vitali Sometimes, patrols are entirely uneventful. And other times, there are things that are hunted or things that are stumbled into entirely without any warning. That the Siberian shaman has ventured out to do his own bit of protecting innocents is no great surprise -- it happens many times. Sometimes alone, and other times less so. Though he is without a human companion tonight, he does have a particular advantage. Vitali is seated cross-legged upon the lid of a dumpster in an alleyway a short block away from the office building where the fight is happening. Upon quiet wings does his eagle companion fly past the windows of that upper floor where the lights are flickering on and off, her gaze passing over the broken windows to look within. And what she sees is conveyed to the shaman below through the bond they share, for he often uses her as a scout. He's been using her to follow this trail for a little while now.

Without a sound, the eagle banks away and flies towards another nearby rooftop and the relative safety that it offers. As she does, Vitali rises to his feet and makes a quiet murmur, the fingers of his right hand barely stirring. A watery platform appears, faintly blue, and he steps onto it before directing it to swiftly rise up, to take him between the buildings and towards the upper floor where the fighting is happening. There is nothing more than ordinary clothing worn by him -- a navy turtleneck, a pair of black jeans, a pair of black steel-toed boots, and his long black hair is braided at his back.
Peter Quill For Thea, it's a bit like stumbling onto the set of a scifi fight movie... but instead of aliens, it's a humanoid wearing some sort of hi-tech mask and longcoat, and a red skinned alien fighting.

The humanoid can be seen hoping and flying around using some sort of alien guns to fire... fire? Earth? Air? They're firing elements out of nowhere somehow, with no visible storage.

Not to mention the jets attached to his ankles.

His opponent appears to be flying with wings and being chased by the humanoid in the longcoat across the office floor... with all sort of office equipment being incinerated along the way.

For Vitali, the view is much the same... only since he has a zoomed out view, he can see the carnage that's been left on a few floors below, as well as the hole going up through a few floors on top of that.

This fight has been ongoing for a few minutes.
Thea Queen      "What the..." Thea remarks to herself, trying to figure out what is going on in front of her. There is a man with a mask and space jet boots? Keeping to her perched location, she does not engaged. As a vigilante, she had seen a lot. But this was something new.
Scaling up the side of a building a bit more, skipping the holes in the building that have been left over by the carnage, she tries to get a better angle of what is going on. Does she need to engage? Is this a mutual fight?
Vitali The watery platform seems to hold his weight easily, bringing him around the building to where he might have a better view of the fighting. The red-skinned and winged alien is a strange sight to Vitali -- he's never seen such a thing before, though he has seen a number of strange things since moving from Siberia to here. He doesn't recognize the guns (or the boot jets) for what they are, though he does recognize the elements that the weapons are firing -- these blasts seem more akin to his magic than anything else, at least to him. Though he wonders, briefly, what it is that's going on, it doesn't cause him any qualms about getting involved.

He focuses for a moment, his head tilting a touch to one side, and the fingers of his left hand barely moving. A pair of spears materialize and form in the air to the left of him, hovering there, the icy lengths of them blue-ish hued and glistening. He holds his position for a moment, one of the spears adjusting where it hovers before it hurtles forward to aim for one of the red-skinned alien's wings. There's a brief glance that he casts towards the masked woman at the side of the building -- is she a friend or a foe? He doesn't know, but it would seem that he is aware of her.
Peter Quill Despite aiming well, Vitali has no experience with this species... and the sheer /speed/ of it means the spear misses as Thea watches.

The man flying about above the office cubicles quips, "Come on man, you gotta see this is pointless. Even an ahole like you can see this is drawing attention." The humanish? Voice states through the helmet, before he lands, aims a gun at the stairwell the alien was trying to get to, and fires a /massively/ dense earthen rock at it.

The result is one massive quake through the building as the doorway is suddenly collapsed from the breaking of the doorframe, then another massive quake as the rock drops to the ground, /hard/.

"You gotta know I'll just keep going with this." The man stands there, trying to fire pockets of air at the flying alien who keeps dodging them, "you do know I'm Star-Lord, right? You know my rep?" Then, he yells, "WHOEVER YOU ARE OUT THERE, STAY BACK, THIS AHOLE IS TRICKY!"
Thea Queen      "Who the hell is Star Lord?" Thea murmurs to herself, perhaps louder than she intended to be. But does she listen to the warning from this.. Star Lord? Of course not.
"Obviously this thing isn't listening to you." Thea says as she moves closer, "Might be better if you just tell me how to defeat this thing... That is... if you know how." she says. The boots she wears clearly have some sort of ability to stick to objects, as she leans back away from the side of the building, hands free to grab her bow, but waits to grab any kind of arrow. It would depend on what type she'd need.
Vitali The Siberian frowns just a touch when the creature is able to dodge so swiftly, and he studies it for a lingering moment to get a better idea for how it moves. The remaining spear shifts slightly in form, becoming slimmer and more streamlined and a bit shorter, and a slightly deeper blue hue comes to it as the ice condenses. One of his eyebrows quirks up at the rock that the gun somehow manages to shoot into the doorway, but his attention doesn't linger there. To him, it's magic, and that's all the explanation he needs or wants in the moment. He hasn't heard of a 'Star-Lord' before but he doesn't feel a need to point that out in the moment.

Vitali makes a slight gesture to send the second spear hurtling towards the alien creature, though this time he attempts to anticipate the dodge in the hopes of hitting it. He seems to prefer staying on his watery platform rather than actually enter the building, at least for the time being. He lifts one of his shoulders in a faint shrug. "We all have tricks, nyet?" he suggests, a Russian accent in his words and a hint of amusement there as well. He flicks the fingers of his right hand, and it starts to rain in a very localized manner -- above the red alien and only above the red alien.
Peter Quill There's an unamused grunt from Star-Lord as the help arrives, and Star-Lord activates his Jet boots to hover slightly and fly backwards, out of the potential range of whatever is going on.

"I had a great plan, but sure, let's see what's going on here." The man quips, even as Vitali starts literally raining on the things parade. "That's not gonna do-" As he says those words, the red skinned alien roars in obvious frustration, "-Oh, I guess he doesn't like being rained on. Who knew?"

The alien is still flying easy... but the downpour is visibly making him moe erratic... and he suddenly starts flying through the floors upwards with pained grunts.

"Well. Ok, you got him pissed off." Star-Lord notes as his Jet boots activate again and he starts flying towards the glass walls leading outside, aiming one of his guns and firing an air pocket to break the window and fly out.
Thea Queen      Its obvious that no one is going to offer her tips on how to defeat this Alien Creature, but how different could it be from a metahuman that she has had to fight in the past?
Thea grabs at one of her arrows from her back, its an explosive arrow, one that upon hitting its target with make a small explosion to blast the creature or metahuman... or whatever it hits.
Taking aim, Thea closes one eye and shoots it at the Alien. Through the rain, through the the wind, the arrow soars at its target.
