Clint Barton It hadn't been more than a week ago, when Clint left on a mission, which Skye understood when he let her know that he was "going out for a pizza". It's one thing to have a special code for notifying the partner that there is a mission going on and they will be away for a while, but there is no code or indication about the duration of said mission.

This time, the mission Clint was assigned to merely lasted a week. So the archer was confident that Skye would not have lost too much weight in his absence!

Sporting a grin on his face, Hawkeye almost kicks the apartment door open, his hands full with his sport bag and a couple grocery bags in the other hand. "Good, door unlocked." Which means, Skye is home.

Despite him being confident that Skey knew exactly when he reached the door, the archer can't but announce his return. "Honeyyyyyyyyyyy! I'm hooooooooooome!" he shouts, half laughing at his bad imitation from the movie.
Skye Johnson Sure. She needed to take care of herself /for a whole week/! Which in the stream of things one week was as bad as a month. Still, she had tried and on the first day she had cooked a roast chicken (because there was one in her fridge.. still), and with careful eating it had lasted almost four days!

Okay. Three. The bones lasted, in the fridge, another day. Until even she had to admit they weren't going to ever produce more chicken no matter had she stared at them.

So Mr. Noodles it was.

Of course she knew when he arrived home - she had the security alarm feed on her computer. "Out here, in the kitchen! One more minute till fresh coffee!" Of course, for him as well as her.
Clint Barton The kitchen, exactly his intended destination (for now, at least). The smell of fresh coffee almost makes him run to the caffeinated brew - almost tripping on one of the house cats in the process. Is it possible that they missed him? Eyeing down the feline he almost kicked, Clint frowns, shaking his head, "No, you smelled the food. I know you. You will NEVER miss me."

Yes, food, in the bags. The sport bag is discarded in the living room, and when Clint finally reaches Skye and the coffee in the kitchen, the archer places the grocery bags on the kitchen island.

On the bags are stores' names, in Chinese. The stores' addresses also indicate their provenance from Taiwan. So no, the archer wasn't in Chinatown for a week, but somewhere way closer to the actual China.

After a long kiss and some hands roaming, Clint steps back (he still needs to breathe!), pointing at the bags. "All for you. Enjoy."
Skye Johnson "Big mugs?" They had super big mugs for just such an occasion. Like morning. Late afternoon. Midnight. Really early morning, before bedtimes, checking up something on the darkweb..

Okay - let's face it, for Skye any time was big mug time.

And no, the cats didn't miss Clint, except he remembered their treats more often than she did.

Skye peered at the bag. "You didn't.. did you? You did! Holy crap! What did you bring us?" She opened the bags like a kid on Christmas.
Clint Barton Most guys would bring flowers, perfume, or jewelry to their significant other. Maybe even chocolate - yes, chocolate always works. It works so well that it had become quite the routine. Besides, the Far East isn't really THE place for chocolate.

No, the Far East is for what Skye Johnson loves: ramen and tea!

Clint smiles as Skye opens the bags, revealing a nice assortment of genuine ramen noodles, complete with the accompanying spices and herbs. In the other bag, more varieties of ramen but also a good choice of genuine Asian teas, directly from Taiwan and surrounding countries.

While Skye is busy emptying the bags, Clint takes care of the coffee - and yes, it is the large mugs! Jetlag doesn't get better with age! Coffee - SHIELD's blood - is in order.
Skye Johnson Ramen. Ramen! RAMEN!!

All the flavours. And the spices! Including some she hadn't heard of before. It didn't matter if she tried them and didn't like them - it was a grab bag for adults. You always found at least one you liked, 2 or 3 favourites, and one you wouldn't try again if you paid her to. That's the beauty of grab bags

After looking them over, she accepted her coffee with thanks. "There's one I can't figure out. It's really a surprise! And I am looking forward to the peanut and peppers crumble! Where did you get that?"
Clint Barton Of course, by asking where Clint got that, Skye isn't asking about any details regarding the mission location. Besides, if she wanted to know, she could very well get this classified information on SHIELD's files.

"All I can say, is that they are all local products," Clint replies, visibly happy that his girlfriend likes the presents. Yes, in monetary value, it's nothing really. But the archer knows her well enough to know that monetary value is irrelevant, especially when it comes to bringing real Asian products.

"I though you'd like to skip Mr. Noodles for a while, and if you're going to it ramen, might as well be the real deal." And yes, it is the real deal. "As for the tea, it's all yours." Indeed, cuz the archer would rather die on the spot than drink tea, no matter the type or brand. Which reminds him, that the coffee in hand is perfect. "Thanks for the coffee, I needed it."
Skye Johnson Skye turned to Clint, and gave him a kiss, "This is really great! Thanks. You've got to admit, the only thing that is better is fresh noodles." Which she did know how to make. Every know and then she took over the kitchen and rather then her sitting on the side, she took over the main event and hand pulled the noodles.

Mmm.. hand pulled noodles..

"Hey, I bet these spices would be fabulous on them? Maybe? Tonight or the weekend?" The groceries were all over the kitchen table as Skye sipped her coffee. The tea always made her a little bit sad though - thinking of May.
Clint Barton Taking the time to enjoy his coffee, the archer looks at the kitchen island covered in packages of ramen noodles, spices and tea.

"Ok, maybe I went ramen happy a bit there," Clint chuckles, "But hey, non-perishable, perfect." He pauses, thinking of the spices, "Yes, and I think I even got dehydrated mushrooms and onions somewhere in there." Because, yes, ramen is best with both.

And as if to tease her, Clint adds, "I can go get us fresh lettuce and bean sprouts."
Skye Johnson Looking back over her mental calendar.. "I'm free this weekend? Could do a barbecue one day, and the ramen with hand pulled noodles the next? Your place or mine. Speaking of this - didn't you say that the basement needed cleaning?"

"And you never can be TOO ramen happy! Never!" Skye grins at that.

How was your mission, anyway? Me, they had me watching a bunch of emails and tracking them. We might be sent off to deal with the fall out from there. Depends."
Clint Barton Thinking for a moment, Clint nods. It is a good suggestion for the weekend. Way better than writing AARs!!

"Sure, BBQ and ramen! Hrm, yeah, I still have to clean the basement. And install some basic equipment, the Twins will let me have some older devices from the backstore." Skye is rewarded with a large smile, though a bit on the tired side.

At the mention of fall out, the archer raises an eyebrow, intrigued. "Tracking emails, so exciting," he jokes, "You track over the net, I track over the streets. But hey, what can you tell me about these emails?"

The archer would like to know which grand criminal organization will be next on their list of targets. Hydra? AIM? A new one maybe? But of course, what details they can share here at their place is limited, so maybe Skye can say something, or not.
Skye Johnson "The Twins will be happy to see us again. Remember the deals they cut us on the basement here?"

Skye frowned as she went on. "They are in code, actually. And the recipient and the sender were anonymous - they are blips in someone else's emails. But they aren't visible. We've just been watching while our code breakers get some more information."

In other words it's actually interesting by fits and spurts.
Clint Barton "Yup, and I'll get some nice deal for my basement," Clint agrees that they did get a good deal for the brownstone house. "It's just a small secondary emergency command post, y'know, in case we need to stay low for a while." A SHIELD agent never know when they might need to hide for a while, if they get compromised by external agents, or whatever.

As for the emails, it sounds /almost/ interesting, explained by Skye. The look on the archer's face remains neutral, as usual when talking about things other than archery related!

"So, we know nothing and wait to see if we get something from the emails. Thrilling," Clint says, shrugging. "Any news of Nick, Winty? Tasha?"
