Georgie Goodspeed Georgie laughs and says, "That settles that." He isn't sure -how- it was ordered, but he's willing to go with it. In a world of every other person having an AI, sometimes, not asking questions is the safest thing in the world. He takes out a card and offers it to Vorpal, saying, "Well, let your friend know that since it's through the college it's free and anonymous if he... or she... has any concerns about that."

He wets his lips again and sighs. "They need dancing or something at these things." He glances to the bar and then back to Vorpal and Rory. "I'm going to get another drink. Can I get either of you anything?"

After he gets the answer, he makes his way back to the bar. Maybe it's because he's an empath or maybe because Damian just commands a wide berth, he ends up finding a place to order himself a rum and Coke near the young man. He offers Damian a warm smile and a polite, "Hello."
Damian Wayne      A warm mug in hand, and a generous sip. Damian looks to Georgie as he offers his smile and a greeting. "Hello." He gives back, in a much calmer state than before. He is still stoic, but he's conversing, that's a start!
Georgie Goodspeed Georgie Goodspeed drums his fingers on the table as he waits for his drink. He glances back to Damian, a looking a touch surprised that the formerly angry boy conversed back. He glances over his shoulder as the cat and Rory disappear into the crowd, presumably to get some food or wait for the snake.

Georgie leans a little closer and whispers, "I think chicken and waffles couldn't wait. I been ditched." He laughs a little, not sounding overly upset by it. His drink comes then and he takes a sip, turning and leaning the small of his back against the bar. "You digging this little soiree?"
Damian Wayne     Damian looks back up at Georgie. "Not at all actually. I'm fifteen, stuck here, and one of the first people I see runs his mouth like a pedant." One more sip from the tea and a relaxing sigh.
Georgie Goodspeed Georgie Goodspeed chuckles and laughs, face reading like he might know the feeling. "Yeah. People are rude as heck." He swirls the liquid in his flute and confides, "When I was fifteen, I was applying to colleges and crap. Adults are just really crappy if they think they can get away with it." He takes a swallow of his drink and then remembers to offer his hand. "I'm Georgie, by the way." He gives a rueful smile and blushes. "Bein' rude as I complain about other people being rude. I'm a piece of work, huh?"
Damian Wayne      "And when you're my age, they think they can get away with it all." Damian accepts the hand, a firm shake for a boy of his age. "Damian." The boy takes a note of the empath, this is one of the first adults he's interacted with in Gotham that hadn't been testing him or scrutinizing him in some form or another. It was a good feeling, or at least, a pleasant change of pace.
Georgie Goodspeed Georgie laughs and runs his hand through his hair after the shake. He nods in agreement. "Mostly they sort of can." He pauses a moment and a hard glint forms in his eyes. "Less you break their nose. They tend to stop being di.. err... rude. We'll go with rude." He laughs a little and pushes his champagne away. "Think that's enough of that for tonight.
Damian Wayne      Damian gives a nod, he's broken many people's bones, usually makes them much more complacent. The teen contemplates some old memories while looking into the mug. An introspective moment before it passes and Damian muses. "Sometimes you have to use a sledgehammer for someone to listen to you."
Georgie Goodspeed Georgie nods a little, frowning. "Most people are too dumb for even a sledgehammer to even work." He takes a stool and slips onto it. He lets out a sigh before he shakes off his own moment of introspection. "You from around here? Like, Gotham? Ya never really know at these things. People come from all over Tri-State."
Damian Wayne      Damian smiles at the comment, agreeing with Georgie in some form of dark humor. "My family is, I'm...visiting." Damian looks to the empty mug in front of him. The teenager looks back to the elder. "And now that the tea's gone, I should be going." He offers another hand as a gesture of respect.
Georgie Goodspeed Georgie Goodspeed takes the offered hand and gives it a couple pumps. "Good to meet you, dude. Hope you like your visit more than this." He gives a wink and thinks a moment before he digs out a card to give to Damian. "Since we sort of bonded over violence, I do some semi-pro MMA fighting. I have a match coming up in a couple days. I can get you comped in if you wanna come. Might be better than... well... this." He beams a smile and gives the boy's shoulder a pat before he makes his way back into the crowd, doing his last round of mingling before he dons his costume and does his other, other job.
Damian Wayne      The teenager accepts the offer of the card, a short cursory glance before tucking it into his jacket pocket. "Anything is better than this." He says with a smirk on his face. "I may have to take you up on that, Georgie." He says, a small smile appearing on his usually displeased face. He turns to the door, slowly making his way out of the great hall, back onto the streets of Gotham.
