Ana Corazon Anya comes out of the changing room, having gotten into a leotard for training. "I appreciate this querida. I haven't done any actual training in too long, been focusing on the combat stuff." She chose a black outfit, with her midriff exposed, and it's true that Kim is the more fit of the two.

She looks about, seeing the climbing wall but also some places for acrobatics work. A balance beam, rings, and even a few bars. Uneven and otherwise. "What's your specialty?"
Kimberly "I hear you," Kim offers lightly as she walks, herself wrapped in similar attire albeit with a pink trim to both while she ties back her hair. It was kind of refreshing to admit to being skilled in combat with Ana given they knew each other via Dinah. Still the second question brings a little flush of her cheeks and a shrugs. "I'm uh...pretty decent at the main four events, if I'm honest. I suppose the Balance beam is what most think of though."
Ana Corazon Vault, beam, bars, and floor. The main four events of Acrobatics. Anya nods, then says, "I mostly did floor routines, but since I .." She pauses, frowning, then sighs. "I'm really..."

She turns to Kim, looking at her, and says, "Do you mind if I tell you something, kinda secret? I mean, I used to need to hide this stuff, but it's not that way anymore and I really am getting tired of dancing around the topic."

She walks toward the beam, waving to it, and has this weirdly confused look on her face. "I really don't want you looking at me wrong, and Dinah made me sound all good and stuff."
Kimberly "Hide the gymnastics?" Kimberly questions, tilting her head. Of course, Kim was literally a professional gymnast herself, so it made sense for her mind to jump that way given tops, but the mention of Dinah brings a little blink before she moves towards the bar. "Sure, she talked about you, but she was also talking about sparring on a balance beam."

A beat, she grins. "Last I checked, judges weren't super keen on that."
Ana Corazon "Oh is THAT what she was talking about?" Anya blinks, then gives a little headshake. "Madre, I was thinking a totally other direction. Never you mind then, I'm good."

Then she approaches the beam, and does a one-handed cartwheel ending up in a mount. She presses up to standing, and then walks the beam like she's on solid ground.

"I have not been on this in two years. Not sure about sparring on it." From the way she's comfortable, she's either lying or confused though. There wasn't even a hitch of lost balance, anywhere.
Kimberly "Wait," Kimberly blinks, tilting her head to the side as her approaches and then leaning lightly against the bar. "What did -you- think she meant?"

A little grin, the brunette girl turns and presses her hands to the beam before raising herself up, first to a horizontal plank and then bringing herself up to a handstand in a long, slow and controlled motion. "I'm sure you're fine!"
Ana Corazon "You know," Anya says, also on the beam. She lifts one leg, right above her head, and then lowers one hand to the beam. Her other leg lifts up to join the first. "Working on a beam. In front of judges."

She's just there, one handed handstand. She steps down out of it, then turns sideways and backflips to the ground. Almost lazily. "I didn't think she meant fighting on it. Though really, if we're going to challenge ourselves? Get a tightrope."
Kimberly "That might be beyond me," Kimberly comments absently, rolling her own motion sideways to bring herself up to a standing position on the beam and grinning down at Ana. Or at least, she was going to say it was. Certainly outside of her morphing, her abilities had definately been enhanced, but that sort of feat was usually only something she'd tried with the empowerment of the grid flowing through her.

"Besides, no judges today. Just having fun, right?"
Ana Corazon Anya nods once. She doesn't look worried, letting Kim have the beam. She got down because courtesy; you don't share a beam as a general rule. Unless you're dicking around and that's another story.

She lifts a leg, putting the foot on the beam at the far end, and leans over it to stretch. "Well, I need to try to get back into form a little today. But other'n that." Touching her head to her knee, she smiles. "I want to see what you can do sometime. I don't have a lotta friends."
Kimberly Slowly Kimberly lowers herself off the beam once more, happy enough to leave it free for Ana to take her place while she too stetches out and then ponders lightly to herself. "So, what made you want to work with Dinah as her....understudy?"
Ana Corazon Anya laughs, a quick bark almost. She snorts, then giggles. "Understudy? More like torture victim." She giggles a bit, then breathes and puts her foot down. Leans her back against the beam. "Truth? I used to be a real fighter. Lost most of my stuff, got badly injured. Then I tried to protect someone, and D had to step in and bail me out. The only thing I've got left is the balance, now."

A pause, a real pause, as Anya looks at the far wall. Sad. "I miss it."
Kimberly "So she's teaching you how to look after yourself?" Kim questions, lowering herself into her own stretches and nodding lightly. "I get that. Before I met some friends of mine, people like Tommy too, I was uh...not great at that sort of thing." A little shift, she tilts her head lightly.

"You miss it?"
Ana Corazon "Well, I used to be stronger," Anya says. She switches legs, talking as she gets into position. "Faster. All that fun stuff. I -didn't- come home bruised and make my papi worried. Trust me, that gets old real fast."

"But yeah, I miss being better than this. It's kinda addictive." She considers telling more, but she still doesn't know Kimberly. Does she tell all? Is Kimberly 'in the know'?
