Logan For those looking out for Wolverine, there's a mixture of rumor, and fact, running around. Several X-Men have bikes. Logan's is rumored to be one of the loudest. He has two. A sunday drive bike and one for everyday use. The everydray use one can take a little more of a beating. Plus, it's reinforced to handle his weight. Also, that's the one with the radio.

So, when a loud engine revs followed by the sound of a Southern Rock. . .it's safe to put two and two together. And the sound of Kansas talking about carrying on, gives an indiccation to the rider. "Carry On My Wayward Son," blares and the short rider is off.

The man's size is another indicator. Logan's short. Everyone that has heard anything about him will mention this at some point. So, the reputation does proceed him a little bit. He's easy to follow, if someone is inclined. The man just heads to Mel's. A simple journey with an equally simple purpose.

The last few times there have been a little chaotic. Logan just wanted a burger and maybe some fries. So, that's the goal tonight. Friendly conversation is welcomed. Work Drama he wants left back at the mansion. This is ironic given the fact that the black leather coat has a yellow "X" with a circle on the upper arm, some yellow accents and clearly shows team affiliation. The bomber coat has mysteriously vanished. For now.

When he makes it to the Diner, he just picks a spot in the back. While he's not hiding from anyone. They would need to be inside to see him or -just- walking past the building. And there he will sit ordering a bacon cheeseburger, large soda with ice.
Firestar Trying to get acclamated to the idea of being a teacher now on the verge of starting college to probably pursue science education, sometimes things can get just a little too much for Angelica to wrap her head around. She walks into the diner and pauses. Taking a deep breath she smiles inspite of herself. Yup. Just like she remembers.

She takes a few steps into the diner and starts towards a barstool, casually eyeing the place with a more detailed once over than might be obvious. She is almost to the nearest stool when her memory plays back and she pauses. Her attention moves to the back and the distinct man sitting there.

She considers, almost opting to sit at the counter anyway. Her body language tells the story of one that doesn't just approach people and probably a more than a little shy. Instead, she walks towards the table where he is sitting and asks quietly,"Mr. Logan? Pretty sure. I have seen pictures. Mac Hudson told me to look you up when I got back to New York." She shifts her weight back and forth and doesn't really look at him directly.

"I mean, I could try to catch you at the school another time. It's just.." she starts,"..I mean I have looked, but so far..." A great conversationalist she is not.
Logan "That's me," Logan says and he just sips at his drink between phrases. Then there's a palpable pause, "Why'd he say to find me?" Logan's honet. Those ocean bue eyes of his go over the redhead. He's not sure what to make of her, yet.

Pausing for a moment, he sees she struggles with conversation. "My words aren't the prettiest, but if yer honest, I won't hold it against ya. Why are ya lookin' fer me? Why are ya here in New York n' not in Canada? Wanna sit next to me so we can talk like normal people that both suck at talking?" he offers the woman. This is him trying to offer some kind of peace treaty between them. Logan knows he has a way with words and sometimes that way isn't the best with ome people. He understands a similar struggle to Firestar's own plight.
Firestar "He said there was history with the two of you and that if nothing else I would find a..." she sputters out at first, pausing to think,"...how did he say it? Burly, surly, scowling man that deep down was a decent sort." she finally manages,"Something like that anyway."

She forces a hint of a smile and takes a seat with him, resting her hands on the table,"I came back from Canada to home, to study at NYU." Something makes her pause, then blink,"I'm sorry. Angelica Jones." She offers her hand to shake if he is inclined,"If you haven't guessed I am bad at meeting people."
Logan "Kinda right," Logan says about that statement. People will always hold him in higher regard than he holds himself. Logan takes the offered hand, "Logan," he says and she talks about NYU. "I'm not exactly a people pleaser, you'll be fine," Logan tries to assure her for a moment.

"I know some people that go to NYU, I think. Want me to look em' up? I know not everyone ya knew probably stayed," he says just offering that to her. Logan's not sure if he knows of anyone at the school. If he does, he would definitely pass names along, with her consent.
Firestar Her handshake is a steady one, a bit of a grip. A firm shake. She lets his hand go after a few shakes,"It's good to meet you in person Logan. A person to go with stories I've heard." She seems to be a little more at ease when he mentions not a people pleaser.

"If you're willing to introduce me to people that would be great. On top of starting my trip to a Physics degree, now adding some education emphasis, I will be teaching Physics at the Institute. It should be hectic, but manageable. I don't do well getting out to meet people either so..." She shrugs a little.
Logan "Well, people at the school will help ya. I can introduce ya to some good people," Logan says rather flaltly. Those ocean blue eyes looking at the woman as he notes all of the nervousness, the awkwardness, etc.

"Well, let me start wit' this. Tell me more about yerself. I'll try to find people that share yer interest. Not a match maker, bu t if I see you're not into certain things. I'll make sure ya avoid a couple of crowds," he adds. It's him just trying to vet the people for her. Kind of act like a barrier.
Firestar She finally manages to meet those eyes for a few seconds, but mostly just for the sake of seeing if she can. Another, more real smile finally crosses her features,"At this point, any help I can get." she admits.

A moment of pause and consideration,"I study. Hate to say it, but Physics and Radiation have been my life. Recently I took up cooking and mostly I just want to get through school, help people when I can, and just...make a better life than the one my "father" settles for. That make sense?"
Logan "And yer comin' fer my help. Someone doens't like ya," Logan jokes as he knows that him, and social settings, aren't the best of friends. Still, he would help Angelica.

"So yer like Hank. Big science guy, literally and metaphorically. Maybe not Radiation, but knows enough about it so the two of ya can talk. And talk. And talk. Til' most of us go crosseyed from technical jargon," Logan knows how science people can be. However, Hank is someone he would call a friend.

"He'd be a good guide for ya. Seriously." Pausing he looks at himself, "At one point he kinda looked like me, but hairier. Bluer. It's a story," he says just offering that as a guide for the woman. "Father?" Logan asks as he knows there's a story in that comment.

"It does. That's what a lot of us do. Anyone talk to ya about the -other- thing the school does?" he asks, genuinely curious. She does have the heart of an X-man.
Firestar A soft laugh escapes her when he mentions someone doesn't like her,"Oh I have my share of fans." she agrees with a shrug,"Mac said you would say something like that."

She listens to him talk about Hank and nods,"I would appreciate any contacts. Someone that can talk technical jargon sounds like a good person to get to know. I'd really like to meet others, just really bad at it."

She doesn't even notice it, but the more the two of you talk, the more open she manages to get. She just needs time it seems. The mention of her father gets a face and she finally nods,"Yes. A good man, until I found out that I needed a special school like Xavier's or in my case, Emma Frost's old school. He got really...distant. Really fast. It's strained to say the least. She shakes that off and catches the last bit of the conversation,"Oh yes. I have spoken to Jean some and recently met Scott. I have known for a while. Mac told me about it. He has a an other thing just like it."
Logan "You'll get actual fans soon enough," Logan says honestly o n that one. Then he is listening to her repsones to him. "I'll try to introduce ya. Give ya names. Again, tell me more about ya n' I can give ya names," Logan says letting her know that the more info he has, the better the names get be.

"Alright. Jean's got a good head on his shoulder. I respect Scott, but . . .let's just leave it there," Logan doesn't wanat to go too far down that rabit hole.

"Emma's got a buncha kids now. Her stepford kids. If that quintent ain't hers by blood, they should. Maybe it's a quartet. All of em' got a Village of the Damned vibe," Logan mentions, unsure if Angelica and Emma caught up. Plus, those girls are a little creepy in his mind.
Firestar "Oh could I please." she comments dryly to the idea of having fans,"As for more about me, not much more to tell. I tend to be bookish, awkwardly shy, and science is my life for more than one reason." She lowers her voice, knowing that he can hear clearer than most even in the din,"Radiation has to do with what makes me able to fit in with the other stuff at the school."

"Not really much for the relationship scene. I make a few friends and that's is about it anymore. It's difficuly. I am...kinda dangerous to be close to for long periods of time without this." She pulls her shirt down a little to reveal a body suit under it,"Protects people as long as it is on me. Still, wary."

On the subject of Emma she admits,"Emma and I had a dodgy past, but I think we've worked through the worst of it. We've seen each other a time or two since I came back to New York." She makes a face and adds,"Though I think I might want to avoid the whole village of the damned vibe if possible. Not my scene. I just want to teach class, got to school, and work with the other things when called up."
Logan "Sure. I'll tell all the class 'bout the the science teacher bein' a young, redheaded female. They'll come," Logan teases a little bit. His gaze stays on the woman and she brings up radiation. "Kinda figured," he says since she danced about ti a little bit.

Then comes the suit and he winces a little bit. "I can handle it. Healin'," he syas being honest on that one. Those ocean blue eyes rest on her for a moment. "I'm sorry yer dangerous like that. Is there anythin' anyone can do to make it so ya don't need the suit?" Logan knows they're treading to dangerous ground here. It can be a delicate balance.

"Emma is. . .Emma is somethin'." Then he gives a nod, "The girls ain't bad. There's some that wanna be different, but yeah. There's a hive mind or somethin'," he admits unsure how to explain that one in full. Hell, Logan's not sure how exactly it even works.
Firestar Inspite of her awkward nature, she laughs softly and shakes her head,"Great. A class of love struck boys and girls that want to put me out of their misery." she manages to quip lightly.

The nature of her power is something that she has gotten used to. He is well known to her if not by her,"Another reason Mac said to come to you. He knew I would be minimal threat to you. He said you were too tough for your own good and could recover from anything including me." She shudders a little,"That can't be a pleasant experience regardless."

A shake of her head and she replies,"Not really. Mac and Heather have helped me live a life that doesn't constantly threaten others. It's on me to make sure I keep it that way. There were a few...personal medical threats, but we got past that too."

Shaking herself out of what can easily become a long walk of self pity and wallowing she admits,"Emma made me some of what I am today. Not all bad, but not all great either. I haven't heard about her hive mind kids, but that's...unsettling to say the least. Telepaths have trouble getting past the radiation so it's difficult to grasp the idea for me. Still...no thanks."
Logan "Hey. I'm just tryin' to make sure ya get yer fan club," Logan teases a little bit. Those ocean blues watching as he smirks at the quip.

Sighing and speaking seriously, "I can still feel the pain. I just bounce back better than I should," he admits. That's the thing about healing. One still has to experience pain.

"Better off slummin' it wit' people that want ya to speak openly n' not wear the latest fashions," he says look at himelf. "Only way I'll be fashionable is with flannel," he says honstly, shwoing Angelica that she would be safe.
Firestar There is a hint of a blush when he talks of making sure she gets a fan club. She looks down for a moment, but then back to talk again. The longer they talk, the easier it gets. Her phone buzzes and she ignores the first one.

"I can't imagine what you go through. You're known and so that probably draws attention your way too."

A smirk touches her features and she admits,"I think I'd rather spend time slummin' with the ones that are real, than deal with the would be high end crowd." Another buzz and she takes the phone to hand. She reads to messages and hmms softly.

"Looks like an old friend needs my help tonight." she comments as she stands to go,"Thank you Logan. For talking and being willing to introduce me to new people. For now, I need to go check on Peter and make sure he hasn't gotten himself into a mess." Before she goes she leans a little closer and mutters softly,"Firestar. I have been with Gamma Flight, or the New Warriors, for the last few years and worked beside Alpha Flight a bit too. Thank you for letting me interrupt your dinner to talk with me."
