Thomas Raith In a place that is supposed to be as Timeless as the Blue Lady, one would not expect massive changes. But really it barely seems to have changed at all. the same young Hispanic man with Tomahawks on his belt (Axe) stands at the door, but smiles broadly as he sees Jess, aparently recognizing her and waving her past the crowd. Inside the live preformer sings as... interestingly dressed women sell cigars. The same massive bouncer (Crush) stands gaurd at the door's to Thomas's office and the VIP lounge. Yosa, the one eyed bartender still is behind the bar... And the Man-In-White himself is still there, drinking Iced tea from a crystal decanter and looking just as pretty as ever.
Jessica Cruz It's been a while. Honestly, it's been a while since Jess was on Earth. She went for more training with Kilowog and has been deemed 'suitable' for her role as a Green Lantern for the local sector. But returning to Earth means a return to problems... like the book deal she's been hiding from. How is she ever to fix what Volthoom broke?

So it's with strange looks -- she's not the usual fare seen passing the line -- that Jessica Cruz makes her way into the Blue Lady. She's wearing a very simple LBD; sleeveless, but not strapless, squared neck rather than anything plunging, but it does fit well to her figure and the skirt terminates well above her knees. It leaves her dusky skin bare until the strappy heels (also in black).

The only jewelry she wears is her ring and her hair is left loose with just enough makeup (mostly a subdued smokey eye and a red-brown lip) to suit the nightlife without being overdone. The smile she gives Axe as he waves her past is equal parts awkward and grateful before she makes her way to the bar proper to get a drink.
Thomas Raith Thomas Raith leans over to whisper something to Yosa, and the bartender rolls his singular eye and begins fixing a cocktail. Long before Jessica can reach the bar himself Thomas greets his former lover with an easy smile and an orange colored drink... And says the same line he did that very first time they met. "You look like someone who could use a slow comfortable screw up agienst the wall." Though at least this time he is offering her a drink at the same time.
Jessica Cruz "What-" Lost in thought, Jess is not paying complete attention to her surroundings. At first, all she hears is the words; not the person who said them. She whirls on Thomas, ready to give him a piece of her mind. But when she sees him and the drink he bears, she bites off anything she was about to say and flushes.

"Thomas," she says in greeting, leaning back a bit on the bar stool as she exhales at length. "I, uh- I figured you must still be running the place."
Thomas Raith Thomas Raith grins that wicked pretty doy grin, smirking just slightly. "Now is a big bad space cop really supposed to get all flustered by a drink name? I could have offered you a screaming orgasm after all." He says with a smile, gesturing to the bar stoll. "You look great Jess. How are things.." And he points in the general direction of the ceiling,"
Jessica Cruz That just makes Jess blush even more. She clears her throat, but accepts the drink as offered. "I'm not a big bad space cop," she mutters. Always the unbeliever (in herself). But it's hard when you constantly compare yourself to the other Lanterns with years (if not decades) more experience. There isn't an overt invitation to sit next to her, but she's not waving him away either.

"Uhm, things are good I think. No big threats in the sector right now at least." Which is all the better for her as the only Green Lantern in the sector right now. "Are you, uh, doing okay?"
Thomas Raith Thomas Raith looks a little amused at that, he always loved just lightly teasing her. Making her blush. Yosa brings the decanter of iced tea closer to his boss but moves away as Thomas takes his seat again. "Well that's good. Always good to know there isn't some alian battle cruiser about to blow us I. I mean I just ordered new carpeting for the VIP lounge. If we got blown to smitherines wouldn't my face be red." He says sipping his tea and chuckling. "Things are good. Quiet. The Club is doing well. If you are asking if I am keeping fed however," His eyes shift from dark to a lighter blue for just a moment, almost playful some how. "We could talk about it over pancakes in the morning if you like."
Jessica Cruz "There might be tomorrow, but right now the skies are clear." Of big bad world destroying aliens at least. Jess takes a sip of the drink, setting it down after a moment. Her opposite hand rises to tuck hair back behind her ear; fingers slipping down the dark strand until her hand just drops into her lap. "Your carpeting should be safe."

She glances over to Thomas just as his eyes shift and that blush deepens. She looks away, clearing her throat. Unfortunately, there's nowhere to look in Blue Lady that doesn't have something arousing so no help from that quarter.

"I- I just got back, Thomas. You don't need to, uh-" A pause, hands winding one over the other. "For me, that is. I mean I don't doubt you've had plenty to keep you fed- you're you and..." It's the equivalent of 'I just got off a flight you're flattering me by claiming I don't look like a hot mess rolling in people germs' from someone with little to no faith in herself most of the time.
