Owner Pose
Harry Dresden      Late in the night, a vision comes to light in Faith's mind. In her dreams she sees herself in a more arid climate area that she is used to. There are small homes, a farming community dotting the landscape.

In the distance, there is a herd of smallish animals and a few juveniles watching over the flock. It is night time and the would be shepherds look nervous.
Faith Lehane Faith Lehane is used to less than savoury sleeping conditions unless she occasionally gets lucky. She doesn't usually sleep well, but it seems this is about to be quite an interesting dream ..Eyes flash open as she finds herself..In some way weird arid landscape full of wild animals?!

"The hell is this place..?" she mutters, peering around, "Don't tell me I'm about to relive the Lion King..Knew I shouldn't have drunk so late.." just incase, she checks to see if she's still..We'll human..
Harry Dresden For her part, Faith seems perfectly normal. In the distance, near the kids, there is the sound of barking dogs. They are a little more than warning something, rather preparing to stand off with something. Of course, the kids are instantly on edge.

The community is pretty close, presenting almost a town like atmosphere, but none the less she can see close to a dozen sets of eyes looking over the herds. By the look of them, the creatures with the eyes aren't terribly big, but they are fast and they descend on the herd of animals, attacking several. The sounds of goat cries makes it clear what the herd consists of.

For their part, the young protectors throw any projectiles they can find and make a lot of noise, but the creatures mostly ignore them, starting to drag four of the goats away, while a few seem to be drinking at the neck of two others.
Faith Lehane Faith Lehane frowns as she sees the herd of goats being attacked by...Something. Wolves perhaps? "The hell? That just ain't right.." and for all her selfishness, Faith has always had some sort of instinctive protective thing about her. Blame the Slayer in her because she rarely cares about anyone but herself..

Without thinking, she sprints off towards the herd, easily keeping up with them perhaps as she attempts to block their path. With any luck she is still armed with stakes and those clawed gloves Thomas once gave her, and she hurls several stakes at the predators with skilled precision.

"Back off freaks!"
Harry Dresden The creatures start to drag the dead goats away, the dogs making lunges at them now. However the creatures aren't afraid of the dogs and a few hold them off as the rest drag the bodies. Flying stakes get their attention though and a few turn on her. They stare and consider conflict with her.

The creatures suddenly stop as, in the distance against the light of one of the farms two massive, shadow bodies stand, glowing red eyes at a level making them easily nine feet tall whatever they are. The smaller creatures run away as they see the bigger ones.

Then, the red eyes move from the goats and they lock on...Faith. They start to move in a lumbering, almost human like way. They never cross enough light for a clean look at them. All the kids and dogs have ran towards the houses again, leaving Dani and the two big monsters in the field with the dead goats. The creatures growls something akin to a dog or wolf, only much deeper and louder.
Faith Lehane Faith Lehane has her hands full enough with the little shadow creatures, and as they turn and flee she considers it a too easy victory, whooping and hollering after them, "Cowardly freaks! Run back to your holes!" but that's clearly a hollow victory as bigger harder uglies are quickly turning on her.r
Her smile quickly fades, eyeing them uncertainly..But Faith is nothing if she's not arrogant and cocky and she smirks as she retrieves her stakes! placing them in her belt as she sizes up the bigger badder shadow creatures. "Well it's about time you gave me a real challenge..Come on, bring it!"

She makes a come thither motion with her fingers, spitting at the ground as she pulls out a few stakes and once they are close enough she hurls it at them..
Harry Dresden Though the dogs have fled, they still bark from a distance. The two big creatures ignore them completely and continue towards Faith, smacking a thrown stake aside. Then, from beind her, another dog barks. This dog's bark fills the valley in a way that a lion's roar breaks the night. Passing her on her right side, a massive dog, Tibetan Mastiff by appearance settles between her and the two large creatures.

The dog has a deep growl that rattles her bones nearly. Around him, the air begins to light, a powerful aura around the dog as he stares down the two larger creatures without any fear. The two bigger creatures pause, heads turning from one side to the other. They seem like they might, but the dog barks again, mystical energy blasting from his body at the creatures and they finally turn and run.

The big dog watches them flee and the energy around him fades. There is a chuffing sound like a parting insult, then he starts panting like any normal dog, a little drooly. He looks back at Faith with a not so bright look on his face despite the fact he just did what he did. He seems familiar.
Faith Lehane Faith Lehane narrows her eyes as they carelessly and effortlessly bay her stakes aside, sneering, "What the shit, should have brought bigger stakes.." she tenses as she waits fir the inevitable clash and there is the slightest anxiety building in her chest, not entirely sure what she's up against or if she will survive it..

And then suddenly a familiar bark rings out and she blinks at Mouse as he not only protects her but sends the shadowy figures fleeing. "What the...Mouse? What's going on?" A part of her is disappointed as she watches the fleeing shadow men, although she is just as relieved as well. That was too close for comfort..
Harry Dresden      The big dog is pretty much a sucker for scitches and scratches, so he leans against her leg and he is heavy. Finally he sits and just lets her pet him for a time if she is willing.

If she looks down at his collar she will see three pieces of infomation: 1. Mouse 2. Address and 3. Harry Dresden. Slowly the dream starts to fade out and she is able to wake or settle into an easy sleep again as she desires. If she wakes she will find her hand is still sticky, damp with slobber. Another puzzle for her.
Faith Lehane Faith Lehane does give him friendly scratches, peering at that collar. "Wow, always knew there was more to you than just a big dog..Thanks Mouse." she flashes a grateful smile at him..And then suddenly she's back in her ratty bed in the ratty hotel. Blinking she sits up and rubs her eyes, "The hell was that?" well one thing is clear, she's gonna has have a chat with Harry!
