Adrianna Tomaz Adrianna Tomaz is at the news station on one of the sets, giving an interview as Isis, the Queen of Kahndaq, a small nation in the middle east, near Egypt. Why is she here of all places? Well the reporter asks and she responds. "Human trafficking isn't an issue that effects any one nation. Often times people are taken from their home country and taken to other places. Without proper ID or citizenships, some times not even being able to speak the language, people have a hard time escaping such situations. That is why it is an international issue that effects everyone. Furthermore criminals and gangs rarely respect national borders and often try to flee to other nations to escape prosecution."
Warren Worthington Warren Worthington had come to the Channel Six News floor of the Goodman Building, having given an interview for an earlier segment, one about the economic climate, and its affect on consumers. Now they were doing a human interest story, though he had stuck around, watching and observing, but mostly because he had some free time in his schedule, and he had been contemplating buying a news station. Channel Six seemed as good as any. He wore an impeccable navy blue suit, English tailoring, with his wings well hidden, even from someone looking at his backside. He stood off to the side, as there were lights informing anyone to remain quiet as it was a live set.
Emma Frost Emma was here at the station signing off some cheques. The station manager thought that might be a good 30 seconds during the evening news - how the might Emma Frost was generous with her monies, as well as she could be fierce when she wanted to be in industry. She was just about to leave, when she stopped on her way out to listen to the interview with Isis, the Queen of Kahndaq.

Interesting. She wasn't wrong.

But who was this Queen? Emma decided to stick around to see if Isis was someone she needed to pay more attention to.

At the back she noticed Warren, who she nodded to.
Adrianna Tomaz Adrianna Tomaz continues the interview. "It is my hope that everyone can work together, to help solve these international issues. For our part, Kahndaq is willing to extradite any criminals attempting to hide in our country. We do not condone such criminal activities." The reporter nods her head. "It sounds like you almost have a personal grudge against these human traffickers, you have run into some of them in the past have you not?" Isis nods, "Yes, the worst among them that I have personally faced is Intergang. An international criminal gang that is known to use very advanced weapons. One might think only common criminals resort to such things as human trafficking but it is actually very organized, and some of the groups are almost like small armies. Which is why the threat needs to be taken seriously."
Warren Worthington Warren nodded in recognition to Emma Frost, even giving her a brief smile, but he was like that. He had a certain disarming charm to him, despite being a snob. It was a rare gift. Listening to Queen Adrianna go on, her cause was just, and Intergang was a serious problem. Not the least that they really needed to update their branding. Intergang didn't suggest that they could take on an actual country. But the same could be said for the Wagner Group. Moving over to Emma, so that they could quietly whisper without interfering with the broadcast, as the microphones were good, but they were directional. They were designed to avoid picking up the camera operator, director, and anyone else in the room.
Emma Frost "She is well spoken. For a tough topic, she doesn't seem to have notes from her PR persons." Emma was a bit cranky over her own PR person, insisting that she will sign those cheques, and furthermore, she was going to paste a smile on her face, and be happy about it.

Despite staring the PR person into a contest, Emma knew it was necessary once in a while to appear in person, and smile for the cameras - even though she normally preferred to do it behind closed doors.

"Very good. You will see that I am right." And the rest of the afternoon was going over what would be signed, and if there were to be 'off the cuff' questions, Emma would be prepared. As it was, there were no questions. Just some photos of her signing her name on an oversized cheque, and they were done with her.

"Do you know of her?" Nodding with her chin at Isis.
Adrianna Tomaz Adrianna Tomaz interview seems to be closing to an end on the serious topic, but one can't forget the showmanship. The reporter leans in closer, "They sound dangerous indeed. What do you say to all those criminals watching right now?" Isis stands up and walks to the side where a barbell loaded with what looks like a thousand pounds is resting. She looks at the camera. "It is never too late to change one's way, to give up crime and seek a better life. I urge you all to do so, as I don't wish to harm others but I can not condone those who seek to enslave and trade humans." She lifts the barbell one handed, and tosses it up into the air. She then catches both ends with her hands and crush the metal weights and the bar down into a cube with seemingly little effort. She drops the now small cube and it hits the ground with a loud thud. And that is a wrap! The cameras turn off and people start talking to each other.
Warren Worthington "The topic is obviously close to her heart, or she possesses a good memory," as memorization of notes can go a long way during an interview. He watched, not terribly phased by the display of force. He was used to it, having known or worked alongside people capable of similar feats. Rogue for example. But it was still an effective way to end an interview. With the lights changing, that they had gone to commercial, and it was to be continued with a different program on an adjacent set, this one would be wrapping up for now. Though the news was 24/7, so it would come back sooner than later. Then to Emma, "never met the woman, but it would seem that chance is at hand. Have you?"
Emma Frost "I ..see." Oh, yes, Emma does. "Even more interesting."

She turns to Warren, "I wonder, has she been to the club? I would be glad to have her on my guest list while she was in town. Come, Warren. No sense hiding up here asking one another when the only way we are going to get some real answers is to ask her ourselves."

Providing no one stops them from approaching Isis, Emma at least, will. "Queen Isis." (She had caught that much listening to the interview.) She nods almost, for her, deferentially. "Ms. Emma Frost, of Frost Industries." Amongst other things. "Are you here for some time? I was wondering if you would like to join me, as my guest, at the Hellfire Club."
Adrianna Tomaz Adrianna Tomaz exchanges pleasantries with the reporter who was interviewing her. She seems like a genuinely nice person, even without the camaras rolling. She makes her way off the set, as they start to set things up for the next segment. She is a queen but doesn't seem to have any bodyguards or anyone to stop the two from coming over. She smiles in greeting. "Hello, it is nice to meet you. Yes, I will be around for a bit. What sort of place, is this Hellfire Club?"
Warren Worthington "You would know better than I," he said to Emma about whether or not Queen Adrianna had attended the Hellfire Club. She was higher ranking in it than he was. He was just a legacy member. And there on his own merits through his wealth and power, but still, he wasn't involved that much." He did give a sly smirk at the directive for him to come. He did, but it amused him to be commanded to do so. Offering a hand, despite what he had just witnessed, "Warren Worthington, of Worthington Industries."
Emma Frost "It is an extremely.. hrm.. Shall I say we are the fashionably elite of the fashionably else?"

Emma flipped a card for Isis to have. White wording on white card stock. Expensive card stock. It said only that it was the Hellfire Club.

Isis wouldn't realise it, but if she took it to the Club, and showed it, she would be whisked from the regular normal (still elite Club), into the private rooms.
Adrianna Tomaz Adrianna Tomaz shakes Warren's hand, "A pleasure to meet you." She takes note of both of them introducing themselves as people with a company named after themselves, though she wasn't sure what either did, as she was a foreigner. She wasn't against networking though, and it is always good to make friends. She accepts the card and looks it over. "That is rather vague, though I suppose I would have time to stop by."
Warren Worthington Worthington Industries had a limited presence in the Middle East, but they did have a notable presence in Europe, East Asia, Australia, and of course, North America. Like many corporations, it had a diverse portfolio which included electronics, chemicals, beauty, entertainment, sports, and they had around 50,000 different items for sale in your average Walmart, not that many would even be aware of it, as they each had different branding that was acquired or created at some point along the way. "Let me guess," he hadn't seen the card, "nothing but a name and an address, and white on white, so the only way you can read it is by letting it catch the light, am I right?"
Emma Frost "As my guest, you would be free to relax, out of the limelight. There is a time and a place to be up in arms, and a time where you can be yourself. Quietly." Even if Isis was up in arms all the time! Sometimes she had to recharge.

Emma was giving her the choice. With the added bonus that in the Hellfire Club she might meet other people of similar ilk. (Of course there were people, who wouldn't find what the gangsters did was so very wrong.)

What Emma had handed her was one of her personal calling cards for the Club.

Emma laughed at Warren. "Could you see me handing out anything but?" Yes, she was one of the bigwigs at the Club. "I figure, if you can't figure out what was meant by the card, perhaps you shouldn't be using it."

Note: Other people had cards for the Hellfire Club, for just this same reason. Very few went to Emma's length.
Adrianna Tomaz Adrianna Tomaz isn't about to join some strange club so easily, but visting and seeing what they are about is certainly something she was okay with. She would have to make a judgement later on, once she knew more about them. "Sounds like a good idea. Though I tend to go home when I want to relax."
Warren Worthington Yeah, even Warren had to wonder what Emma was up to. He had never found the Hellfire Club to be particularly relaxing. It was smooching by another name. He had to put his face on, there especially, as he knew the sort of people who could be members. Perhaps it was different in the Inner Circle, but for him, the Club was anything but relaxing. It was combat through other means. And no, he did not have his own personalized cards either. "Never commit to anything before reading the fine print, especially with this one." He winked at the Queen, "Remember, Lucifer began as an Angel." And he flashed his pearly whites to Emma, teasing clearly by his tone.
Emma Frost Emma smiled. "Ah, my dear Queen Isis, at home, you already know who can be trusted to be on your side. Whereas, the only way to branch out and find similar sorts of people, with comparable ..skills, shall we say, is to find them. And you can begin to weed them out without looking for them."

A pause. And, "Though I would not start with your impassioned pleas. Work up to that when you can trust the others."

She crinkles up her nose at Warren. "Tell me, are you in favour of what is happening with slavery in our time? Not everyone is rich and deplorable. Not to mention, it is one place she can find people who have similar sorts of ways of dealing with the slave traders. Or I have to spell it out. Hrm?"
Adrianna Tomaz Adrianna Tomaz nods to Warren, then looks to Emma. She isn't sure why the people at the club would be any more trustworthy than anyone else but she nods. "Perhaps. I was hoping to reach out with others, which is why I was doing this interview in the first place. So yes, there is clear advantages to such things." She looks to Warren, curious to what his answer to Emma's question is.
Warren Worthington Warren rolled his eyes at Emma, and gave an almost pleading look to Adrianna, who unfortunately, did not come to his defense. And so, he said, "Ordinarily I wouldn't dignify that with a response, but one can never truly tell when there might be someone or something getting a soundbyte. I do not condone slavery, or those who engage in it, under any circumstances. It is one of the reasons my company has no presence in certain countries where economic slavery, indentured servitude, and similar practices are widely known to occur."
Emma Frost Short of taking Warren and Isis by the hand and connecting the dots for them, Emma had done almost all she could do. As Warren said there were people who made their living by listening in on others.

Never mind that Emma could too! But she didn't think listening to thoughts was quite the same thing.

"Please, use that card as you will."
Adrianna Tomaz Adrianna Tomaz isn't one that cares so much about such things, perhaps being the Queen of a nation makes it easier to ignore such things. Which may be why she is one of the superpowered people who doesn't bother to hide her identity. "I will be sure to use the card and stop by some time. It was a pleasure meeting you both."
