Jean Grey It seems there is always some crisis or adventure or action going on at Xavier's lately. But eventually Jean found some quiet time over the weekend to meet with Logan for..Bike lessons, and a potential picnic. She has to keep reminding herself that this is not a 'Date', just hanging out with a good friend..

Because it's totally innocent right?

She arrived at the garage on time, waiting for Logan to meet her, wearing a cute knee length white floral dress spattered with pink and green flowers underneath a cropped leather jacket with knee length leather black boots covering her feet. A perfect combination of practicality and fun.

Oh and there's a picnic basket full of food. Because she did take him up on this dare..Or..Lesson. Right, it's just a lesson. She smiles, carrying the basket as she waits for him, feeling a bit playful, impulsive today perhaps. At least she brought a helmet.
Logan Logan asks Jean for something. It's an idea she brings up a bit. Usually just in talks about things they want to do. Or in talks about "peace time." It's clear this is either a favorite activity, something others don't offer her or an odd combination. So, one day he decides to ask, "Want to go on a picnic today?"

Logan goes to the garage and readies his bike. Wearing a pair of dark blue jeans, a black tanktop and the familiar chocolate brown bomber jacket. He readies the sadlebags and everything of that nature.

When Jean shows up with the picnic basket and helmet, Logan gives her a nod. Ocean blue look at her, "Are ya ready to go?" he asks with a raised brow.

He'll slip onto his Indian bike. Then wait for her answer. He'll patiently wait before starting up the motorcycle.
Jean Grey Jean Grey smiles and nods, packing the basket in the back of the bike. Always be prepared has always been a motto of hers. She's not sure about the rest, but maybe she deserves a break, maybe they both do.

"Yes, ready as I'll ever be.." she smiles, fixing her helmet on, swinging on to the back seat. "So we should go before I think too much and decide against this crazy idea," she chuckles, tilting her head, "Unless you're having second thoughts?"
Logan Then he just starts up the bike as answer to her last question. He revs it up and starts to head out. Ocean blue eyes look back to her to make sure she's secure then the bike begins to go forward. The pair are off on the road hading out to the either a nce cabin retreat or something a bit more private. Just a chance for them to enjoy tim, peace and everything of that nature.
Jean Grey Jean Grey chuckles and holds on tight, "Guess that's a no then.." she smiles, tossing her head back as she feels the cool spring breeze rustle her hair as they speed down the highway. "So, where exactly are we going, and does this count as my first official lesson?" she smiles, a playful lilt in her voice. It's been a rough few weeks. She definitely needs to 'get away' from it all.
Logan "Just the next best clearing, or wherever we can eat then I can get you on a bike. Try to ease you slowly into ths," Logan says softly as he is trying to think on this. The eyes pushing forward. It doesn't take too long before they make it to a nice clearng near an abandned park. The park is still running, it's just pretty empty ths evening.
Jean Grey Jean Grey smiles and nods, "Wow, how very, spur of the moment. Just wherever the wind takes us, hmm? I love it." she peers around at the landscape blurring around then, then spies the hill up ahead, "Ooh, what a lovely hill, looks pretty empty too. Perfect do t you think?"
Logan A nod comes frm Logan as he parks the bike and then waits for her to get off first. "Lead the way to set up camp," Logan says softly, juet letting her take point on this one. Ocean blue eyes watch her move.
Jean Grey Jean Grey chuckles, jumping off the bike and grabbing the basket, "Oh, this is no camping trip, just a picnic. Let's hope Storm is in a good mood, hm?" she smiles and winks playfully at him as she searches around for a suitable spot. "Soo..Do you do this often?"
Logan "What do you mean?" Logan asks, just wanting clarity to the question. "Let's hope that 'Ro will be nicer today," he says softly with a small chcukle. He will follow her to the spot she picks.
Jean Grey Jean Grey chuckles and shrugs, "Oh you know, going off on a random picnic with random people? I guess I never figured you for the picnicking type. Figured you preferred to spend your free time beating up sentinels in the danger room, or driving at breakneck speeds in the wilderness.." she peers thoughtfully at him, "You seem..Softer, more easy going lately, maybe that's thanks to Rogue, hm?"
Logan "It's what yer always askin' fer. So, I figured I would n' I had a lesson to do wit' ya. Two birds, one stone," he says softly. Logan shrugs a little bit. "Kinda like Scott hate em' or somethin'," and yes Logan still likes those few things. However, he says nothing about that. Maybe Rogue is softening him up, but Logan can only take someone asking for something so long before agreeing to it.
Jean Grey Jean Grey smiles, finding a nice flat spot underneath a lovely old oak tree that provides ample coverage from the sun. "Well whatever it is, I'm not complaining. I'm glad you seem happy, more at peace at least." she starts pulling out some food from the basket, including some hand made sandwiches, lemonade, cookies and apple pie, and some apples that look freshly picked. "Hope you worked up an appetite, I may have overdone it a little bit.." she pats the seat next to her, "Care to join me?"
Logan Logan nods about the peace, "I'm tryn' to find it. Don't knoow if I have," he admits. His ocean blue eyes flick back to her and he looks over the basket trying to help pull out things. He's also curious what she made. "Ya ddn't over do it much," Logan says as he is helping her out. "How are ya n' Scott?" he asks looking back at Jean for a moment.
Jean Grey Jean Grey chuckles, "It's, okay, not like I'm gonna force you to eat every last crumb or anything.." she picks up a sandwich, taking a slow nibble before pulling out some paper cups and the spill proof plastic jug of lemonaide.

"I suppose it has been a while since I went on a picnic with anyone really, especially with the crazy hectic things that keep going on around us.." she sighs and shakes her head. "But I'm determined to enjoy some time away from the school for a change.."

Mention of Scott causes her face to fall just a bit. "Oh..He's back from his mission..But we haven't seen that much of each other since he returned. I guess he's still busier than usual.."
Logan "Do you still question your choice?" Logan asks ocean blue eyes looka t her as he hands her one of the sandwiches. He just ses a familiar sadness in her. Thngs make sense. "Are you doing okay, darlin'?" Logan knows that must sting because Scott is back yet not.

"You need to somehow pin him down if ya want to spend time wit' him," he says just trying to offer advice. His gaze locked n her as he waits for some reactions from Jean.
Jean Grey Jean Grey blinks slowly, in confusion. "My choice? what choice?" she frowns, not sure where this is going as she mu he's slowly, distractedly on her sandwich.
Logan "Nevermind," Logan brushes it off. Jean brought up choices one of their last times together. So, he was curious if her mindset changed between their last meeting and now. He starts to work on a sandwich slowly. Just savoring the homecooked meal.
Jean Grey Jean Grey arches a brow at him, perhaps misunderstanding his words for..Something else. Still she eyes him with a smile as he works on the sandwich. "So? How is the food? Did you try the lemonaide? I made it with freshly squeezed lemons this morning.." she settles down to enjoy the scenery, bright blue cloudless skies, the twittering of birds, a few seagulls who wander a bit too close, always eager for a free meal. "I really need to get out of my head more." she muses, sipping some lemon side which feels good in this heat, there are fresh ice cubes in it even..
Logan "The food is tastes well," and then he goes to snag the lemonade. Taking a sip of the lemonade. "What do ya mean?" he asks with a brw that slowly rises. Then he will take a piece of his sandwich then toss it out far. His gaze goes back to her. "What's goin' on in yer head?" Logan wonders if she is having visions like Psylocke.
Jean Grey Jean Grey laughs, shaking her head as she tosses a piece of bread out to a cute little seagull. She blinks and then suddenly there are ten, no twenty gulls in its place, all blinking cutely up at the pic-nickers.

"Well, I think I worry too much, anticipate the worse, mouth the kids, with Sinister, with.." she sighs, shaking her head,"Other things..But I'm sure it will all turn out alright in the end right? As long as we stick together, mall of us. But I wonder if I was too harsh with Sinister too?"
Logan "Sinister should get a bullet put in him," Logan says very firmly on that one. His voice doesn't falter and it's unyielding like metal when he says that. Ocean blue eyes look at her, "It'll turn out, but I don't trust Sinister. Didn't trust him before n' now. . .let's just say I've seen enough."
Jean Grey Jean Grey smirks as she watches the approaching gulls, hovering like vultures around the picnic. "Hmm, you're right of course, I don't want to trust him, but it seems circumstances keep bringing us working on the same side.l" she frowns, "Not sure if that's a good or bad thing.."
Logan "We shouldn't. Period," Logan says showng a change of heart recently had. His ocean blue eyes look toward her. His gaze focuses on her for a few moments. "He's got his hands in to much n' lets just say he's a lot of darker gray." Breathing slowly, he tries to change subject.
Jean Grey Jean Grey hmms, "And yet our paths continue to intersect..Or was it just an elaborate set up? I..." she sighs and shakes her head, "No, I promised myself and you that we were going to get out and enjoy a drama free picnic. So let's." she laughs as yet more birds surround them, tossing more bread to the gulls. "That's why we're out here right?"
