Lois Lane Social media has been abuzz about an odd figure recently seen -

A woman close to thirty feet tall, rampaging around Metropolis and also New York City. Well, perhaps rampaging isn't quite the word for it, more likely running, away, quickly. Either way, the Planet got wind of this particular story and Lois Lane is the one following up on it. Footage was available of both incidents and while the Planet doesn't necessarily have facial recognition software, Lois still managed to find a lead. A lead she thinks will pan out.

It's a good thing that Universities often put their year book pictures online, because that's what helped Lois find her lead. It took a lot (/a lot/) of endless scanning of pictures, but eventually she found one photo that looked somewhat similar to the footage found upon the interwebz. As such, Lois Lane now finds herself at University of Metropolis, her steps taking her towards the main administration building. While she could have called and asked about the student, she knew she'd likely get the run around; most schools don't give out information about their students unless to a family member, and Lois is definitely not that. Being the type of reporter she is, Lois Lane, won't let that stop her.
Krystina Jordan     The University of Metropolis does have a lot of people on campus, and the lead leads Lois here. There are no near 30 foot women here, but everyone's just about average sized, some a little above and some a little under. One of the 'shorter' women bumps into Lois on her way to the cafeteria. 'Excuse me'. She mumbles out as she carries a bookbag with her books into the cafeteria building.

On a glance though....that was her....
Lois Lane Now, where to go to first.

Should she try to break into the administration offices? Er, that is, avail herself of the facilities (computers) within the administration office? That has potential. It's not like she hasn't eased her way inside to find information.

Or should she perhaps take a safer, but likely longer path of simply looking for the young woman. That internal struggle keeps her in that spot for a few minutes, long enough for Krysti to bump into her. The excuse me is met with an automatic response from Lois, "No problem.", and with those words Lois likewise looks to the young woman who jostled her. It doesn't take long for Lois' eyes to narrow and then widen, as she realizes who just clipped her.

"Clearly someone upstairs loves me." Mutters the reporter, and just like that Lois Lane falls into step behind the other woman. She doesn't approach her just yet, instead she'll move to follow her discreetly, to see what she can see.
Krystina Jordan     Krysti seems to be making a serious beeline for the cafeteria. On the way, she seems to have picked up a friend, who talks to her about something or another that Lois can't hear at the moment, but before they make it to the cafeteria building, the friend breaks off to head to another building, while Krystina goes in and....if Lois follows, obviously orders enough food for two people. She sits in a somewhat secluded booth, by herself...and begins to eat. Few people know why she's eating like this, but Lois might have an idea.
Lois Lane Lois Lane follows.

She does.

She has no qualms about looking like a stalker; well, in the general sense of when she's following a story. Other times? Not so much.

Once inside the cafeteria the black-haired reporter will watch Krysti grab food, a lot of it, and then settle into that booth of hers. Here is where Lois considers her next steps - though it doesn't take her long to figure out what she wants to do. She just considers all the options available to her.

For tonight, Lois goes with the bold approach. She'll walk over to that booth and pause, waiting for Krysti to look up. Once the other woman does, Lois will ask, "May I join you?" Though she doesn't have any food, or bookbag, or looks to be any type of student. Perhaps she's a teacher? She has the right look with her pantsuit, her age, her demeanor.
Krystina Jordan     Krysti does look up and.....at the question: 'Uuuuuuhhh...ssssure?" She says as Lois sits down. "Is there....something I can help you with, Ma'am?" She says as she eats a french bread pizza. She obviously doesn't recognize Lois Lane....at all.
Lois Lane Ma'am?

That earns a grimace from the reporter, but it's not like she's never been called that before.

"Thanks. And please, Lois, not ma'am." And with that Lois Lane settles opposite of Krysti within that booth. Her question about helping Lois Lane with something earns a crooked smile from the reporter, "You can actually.", begins the reporter, even as she pulls her smartphone from her purse. The lock will be thumbed off and after a few seconds of silence, Lois will turn the phone to face Krysti.

Upon it is the footage that can be found of the nearly thirty foot woman, "I'm investigating a story."

And while more could be said, Lois simply leaves it at that, watching the young woman intently for her reaction. Sometimes the best way to have a question answered is to shock a person with the unexpected.
Krystina Jordan     Krysti blinks at Lois. She definitely hasn't heard of Lois. She looks at lois in utter confusion......

Until she turns the phone around....

The video of the 30 foot woman just.....makes Krysti turn absolutely scarlet....then lower her head to the table. "Oh god....not you too." She groans a bit. Miss....Lois....if you're looking for a story....this....isn't the ground-breaking story you're looking for." She says with a groan. "It's a.....rather long and complicated story...."
Lois Lane Not everyone has heard of Lois, no. It's not too much of a blow to her ego that Krysti seems quite confused by her arrival.

She's had that happen in the past too.

"I'm sure it is." Remarks the reporter, her phone being shut down with a casual click of her thumb. Her phone is once again tucked away in her purse, as the reporter offers a crooked smile to the rather embarrassed young woman. "So, tell me about it?" She'll say, even as she adds, "And you should probably expect more than just me. It wasn't that difficult to find you, long yes, but not that terribly difficult."
Krystina Jordan     "You're not the first one to contact me either. Thankfully, the first one was Dr. Reed Richards." Krysti is still blushing. "He helped me take care of a problem that happened during the first mishap." Obviously she refers tot he no clothes bit. "Well....if a reporter found me, I imagine I'll have more after me as well. Some normal life." She then sighs and finishes one side of her pizza. "all right. I was in the middle of a computer class when I felt kinda....funny. Warm, like being in a hot shower on a cold day good. I'm trying to use the boost to get through the rest of computer class when...the computer is steadily getting smaller...and smaller. Once I realized it, I hoffed it out of the classrom. Thankfully, I got outside before the next wave hit. Unfortunately, As much as I was trying to get myself back to my normal size...I was still getting bigger....and it was only feeling better." She then puts her head in her hends and sighs. "By then I was ten feet tall.....and my growth was starting to accelerate. So I took off out of campus just as my clothes started to rip off. That video you have of me is me just reaching the edge of the city....and I was still getting bigger. By the time my friend got the 'antidote' to me....I was 75 feet tall....."
Lois Lane Recognition flares at Reed Richards' name. Yes, she definitely knows him. "Good." Comments the reporter, that crooked grin turning into something more amused, since Lois immediately knows what Krysti is referring to there.

As for the other woman's story, Lois can't quite mask the surprise at the mention of ending seventy-five feet tall. Her eyebrows rise upward towards her hairline as she considers that final height. "That's pretty tall." Starts the dark-haired woman, even as she cants her head slightly to the side, "So, meta-human? Mutant?" Comes her quiet questions, as she slides a look towards the cafeteria in general. "Though you typically don't get or have an antidote when you're a meta or mutant." Murmurs the woman, her questioning gaze shifting back to Krysti.
Krystina Jordan     "More Meta than mutant, I think. I was in a lab for chemistry, that was 1/4th of my grade, I should add, when one of my lab partners had to head to the bathroom, then the other left without saying a word. Suddenly, the lab exploded...so I was told. I woke up in a hospital a couple of days later, to find my friend and lab partner with me, but the other one was.....strangely absent. I went back, to find out my professor had failed my group for the experiment. I asked for a retake...and got it....and passed with my lab partner with flying colors. I thought nothing of it for a while....to find some stairs are farther away than normal.....or I go through a doorway, only to smack my forehead on the doorframe suddenly. The doorframes are 7 feet tall." Krysti says softly. "That was when my friend and I figured we'd need a way to return me to normal if it got completely out of control. And...well..." She gestures tot he phone.
Lois Lane Again, Lois adopts that listening pose. She's good at listening to other people's stories. It's what has helped her become one of the Planet's best reporters.

"So, wait, let me get this straight - your other lab partner is still missing?" She asks that clarifying question, a hand reaching for her purse again as she pulls out a small notebook and pen. "What's their name?" She continues with, even as she jots down a few other notes.

"And you mentioned Dr. Richards, I'm going to assume he's likely going to help you with more than just an outfit? What are his thoughts on this?" Lois asks curiously, her eyes slightly narrowed as she considers all of what Krysti has said to her.
Krystina Jordan     "Yeah, He's still missing. Ian Fredrick. He hasn't returned since then." Krysti then chuckles. "Well, I've made a lot more bikinis since he made them for me. I mean.....if I'm gonna wear undies...might as well be that now." She then thinks for a moment. "Yeah. he wants to help get it under control....so what happened there won't happen all that often....if at all." She then shakes her head. "It's ironic....I've been shorter than everyone in my entire life....and suddenly, I can get a LOT bigger than them." She then looks at herself. "Only thing is....why does my body proportions change?"
Lois Lane 'Ian Frederick'.

She'll circle that name and make a small notion beside it; look up on University website for picture.

As for those questions of hers, Lois will just shake her head a second. "I don't think I can help answer /those/ questions. Doctor Richards would be best for that." Comes the wry response of Lois Lane, "But I can help you find your missing lab partner - if you'd like my help?"

She phrases it as a question, even though inwardly Lois knows she'll look into it whether Krysti wants her to or not. Lois Lane is just being polite with that question of hers.

"And you should be grateful now - it sounds like you'll never need to wear heels again to add to your height. Us regular non-changing women will still have to torture ourselves with toe-pinching heels." States the average-height reporter, humor obvious in those words of hers.
Krystina Jordan     Krysti giggles at that. "That's true. And...if you could find that little.....yeah. Find him. Hopefully I won't have to smash him." She then Smirks at Lois. "the funny part is...I went to New York and.....suddenly, someone seemed to hit a convoy with a gravity rocket...."
Lois Lane "I'll look for him." States Lois Lane quite easily, another one of those crooked smiles twitching a corner of her mouth upward. "It may take some time, but we'll see what I can dig up on him. As soon as I know something I'll let you know."

And that's a promise.

The mention of a rocket earns another eyebrow raise upward from Lois, "A gravity rocket? As in it made things lighter or heavier than what they normally are? What sort of convoy? Military?" She hazards a guess, even as she jots a few more notes down upon her pad. "No identifying marks upon the rocket?" Lois says, the questions rolling quite naturally off her tongue, "And did you have help saving the convoy?"
Krystina Jordan     "Lighter, as in it lifted the trucks, myself and others off the ground several stories before turning off. I landed with a bit of a crater myself. SO, I'm pretty tough at my normal size too. This was the first time I actually used my powers willingly. Suddenly there were four mechs assaulting the convoy. Two SHIELD agents were driving one truck and were stuck. One was unconcious and the other had her leg impaled in the cab. I....managed to open the cab enough to get them out, and get them to cover to treat their wounds....before I decided to take on the mechs myself. One of them had hammer arms.....so...I tore one off and used it as a weapon against the others."
Lois Lane SHIELD.

Doesn't it always seem to come back to them? Another note is made upon her notepad to check with SHIELD to see what was in those convoys.

"Well, I'm glad no one was critically injured." Which really means Lois is glad no one died, it's just the polite way to go about it. "And it's a good thing you were there to help, otherwise I'd imagine they'd have gotten what they were trying to steal. You didn't happen to sneak a peak at what was inside, did you?"

And then, her head will cant to the side again, as she considers the other woman across from her, "What would be a good way to get in touch with you?" For when Lois has information on that missing lab partner.
Krystina Jordan      "Well....if you don't mind getting to know the girl behind the naked run through Metropolis....." Krysti says with a smirk. "We could exchange phone numbers. As much as I lose my clothes, I rarely lose my phone. I just....can't dial it when I'm big. Though, oddly, I can now shrink.....with a few other abilities...."
Lois Lane "Ha." Lois states, her voice amused, "That's when you should use the voice feature on your phone. Then you wouldn't haven't to try and dial."

A card will be pulled from Lois' purse and slide across the table. It has all her information upon it; email, cell phone number, phone number at the Planet. "You can reach me here." The reporter states, even as she adds, "I need to get back to the Planet, but if anything comes up before we chat next give me a call, okay? If I don't answer leave a message, or a text and I'll see it as soon as I'm free."

"And like I said, once I know anything about your lab partner I'll let you know."

And just like that the interview seems to be over, though by far finished. There are leads to follow and ferret out - something Lois Lane is quite good at.
