Owner Pose
Harry Dresden Harry is spending more and more time with paperwork. Molly leaving again put him back at the desk, but there's nothing for it. He suffles through the stacks and signs a few pages. Next to the door, Mouse sits in something of a vigil. Not really on guard, but watchful of the door and those that pass. Moreso than usual.
Thomas Raith Paperwork. The bane of small business owners everywhere, which includes both of Margaret LeFaye's baby boys. Still, since Saterday is one of the Blue Lady's busiest nights, Thomas has managed to get most of /his/ homework done, which means his slate is clean until the doors of the Club open at eleven. So with two to-go cartons of Vegetarian Lasagna, he decided to head to catch up with his little brother. He smiles a bit as he sees Mouse and grins, "sorry boy, I learned my lesson about letting you eat cheese the hard way."
Harry Dresden "No cheese." Harry agrees without looking up from the papers,"Come in. I am almost at a stopping point. Shouldn't you be at the club?"

He closes the file and finally looks up to see how the interaction goes between his brother and the over sized watchman.

Mister glances at Thomas from a file cabinet. He doesn't look terribly impressed, but it is ever? Not smelling meat, he loses interest and jumps down to head off to the living area instead of being around people.
Thomas Raith Thomas Raith shrugs. "Not for a few hours. Yosa is there to answer the phone if need be." Yosa being the sort who is about as miserly with his words as Mac is. He sets both containers in front of his brother, letting him choose which he wants. "Smash keeps making trays and trays of this stuff expecting it to sell. I can get him to understand that Vegitarian is just a dirty word to some people."
Harry Dresden "The dirties of words." Harry agrees with a nod,"Still, it's not like I am in any position to turn down free food." A soft snort and he asks,"There is something weird happening at the California/Mexico border. I thought the League was going to help, but not so sure now. You want to take a trip through the Ways and see what is happening?"
Thomas Raith Thomas Raith shudders slightly at the thought of passing through the Nevernever. Still he opens his own container and says, "Depends, what are the odds of running into your Godmother?" He asks simply, taking a bite of his food. "You know you can count on me if you need back up. For that matter we could give Faith a buzz."
Harry Dresden "Entering the NeverNever always comes with a risk of seeing my Godmother or one of the fae. Not a guaruntee, but possible." he replies and rests his arms on the desk."

The mention of Faith causes him to hesitate. At the door there is a chuff from Mouse. How a dog can sound derisive is anybody's guess. He continues to watch the street and eyeballs a cat that wanders out of the alley nearby.
Thomas Raith Thomas Raith tilts his head slightly at his brother's momentary hesitation. "Is there a problem with Faith?" he asks quizically.
Harry Dresden "Trust. She broke it." he replies. Mouse snorts again and continues to watch the road,"I know being brought out of the stone would put anyone on edge, but coming at me and consiering trying her luck against Mouse. I am not saying no, I am saying I am not sure I want her watching my back given the nature of her mood swings. I don't know what we're up against and she saw the dream about it. Still."
Thomas Raith Thomas Raith ahhs slightly and frowns as he considers his next words carefully. Finally he says, "You trust me to have your back. I trust her to have mine." He says it as a simple statement of fact. "And no, it's not just because we are sleeping together. I've been through the trenches with her. She saved my ass at Splattercon!!! I can't think of anyone outside of this room that I'd rather have on my side if things get sticky."
Harry Dresden He finally nods and says,"I get it. I do. I am just not so enamored or trusting of her. I trust you of course. We will see what happens. The NeverNever is a pretty wild place and there is no question if she can right. It's just the rest. I am glad you have reason to trust her. I will abide that, though I wouldn't suggest her coming around anytime soon considering Mouse's disposition towards her. I will tell him to leave it be if we call go through the Ways."
Thomas Raith Thomas Raith nods slightly and gives a look over to Mouse. "I appreciate that, and would consider it a personal kindness. And I'll talk to her. I doubt you'll get anything resembling an appology from her, but still." He shrugs and makes a mental note to be sure to grab an extra sandwhich for the pooch next time he is coming over.
Harry Dresden "I'm not interested in apologies. Just a stable partner when things go sideways. The rest is what it is." he admits,"Talk to her if you like, just know she didn't really think she was in the wrong in the first place so probably nothing will change. Regardless. I need to look into the dreams and what they are connected to. I will reach out to the League once more and if that gets me nowhere we'll keep it in the family."
Thomas Raith Thomas Raith nods slightly, rubbing the back of his neck slightly, "As long as I stay off their radar. Running with the Scoobies, helping with the Paranet, that's one thing. But getting involved with govermental agencies? that's pressing close to a line,
Harry Dresden "The Justice League isn't exactly a government agency and I am not sure even they want to talk about the Dark chapter." Harry replies. He gets up and walks to the ice box to get two home brews from across the street,"I haven't met with them yet, but I did try to reach out. I thought I was meeting with one, but that turned out to be a gift from the little demon in my head."
Thomas Raith Thomas Raith nods slightly but says, with maybe a touch of bitterness in his voice, "Maybe. Still seem the type to basically hear the words 'Sex vampire', and try to send me to the special hell with the people who talk at the theater.
Harry Dresden "I can understand that." he replies with a shrug,"You never know. A few of them might like the idea of a sex vampire. They might like you better than me for that matter, but I won't bring it up. If anyone asks you are a mutant or something less sexy and pleasant."
Thomas Raith Thomas Raith shrugs slightly, "I run a nightclub Harry. I did my best to get out of the Supernatural side of things when I sold my shares in Silverlight to my sisters to buy the Blue Lady. Being a good guy is a hobby for me. I'd rather not be getting calls to save the world." the n tilts his head slightly as if just realizing something his brother said. "She's back? I thought she was being quiet lately.
Harry Dresden "It would be handy to just let go." he admits and shakes his head,"I don't know if I could ever do that." He opens the two drinks and offers one to Thomas,"Yes. She has always been there. Subtle. She never left. She had me convinced I was in a relationship with a woman. Unsurprisingly, said woman wouldn't give me the time of day in that respect."
Thomas Raith Thomas Raith nods slightly taking a long slow breath. "I can't imagine," He says shaking his head and taking the beer from his brother. "Although to be fair, I own a shirt that says 'Lead me not into temptation, in fact follow me I know a shortcut." He smirks a little bit. "Still if there is anything i can do... I know there really isn't but..
Harry Dresden "Don't try to imagine." he replies with a shake of his head and takes a drink. Setting the bottle down, he agrees,"Temptation dangles infront of us all the time and somehow we always find a worse one to chase."

Pinching the bridge of his nose a little, Harry agrees,"If I figure out a way to to get rid of her you'll be the first to know."
Thomas Raith Thomas Raith tilts his head slightly, as if considering. "What about giving it away?" he asks curiously. "I mean I know you are too good a person to actually do it, but if you were willing to damn another person to the presence of a mind demon, would that work?
Harry Dresden A shake of his head and he replies,"She's already inside my head and no, I am not giving it to someone else. She would just have a bigger foothold in this world." he explains,"I haven't touched the coin since the night I stopped the little one from picking it up."
Thomas Raith Thomas Raith is a monster, and tends to have different standards of morality then most. He accepts that fully. To him his concern is for the safety of his brother, and if that means some other soul is damned, he is fine with it. Still he nods, "I'm surprised Carpenter hasn't been more help, they've only been fighting these things for two millennia."
Harry Dresden "Oh he wanted to be helpful. He suggested I give up my power to remove the temptation of Laciel's influence." Harry admits with a shrug,"I know he is right in a sense, but that's never going to happen. If I thought I could put the coin in the hand of someone deserving without giving them unlimited power...but it doesn't work that way."
Thomas Raith Thomas Raith nods slightly, understanding his brother's prospective. "It'd be like telling him that he could no longer be Catholic." He says simply. "A violation of his core identity." He sips his beer shaking his head. He shakes his head, allowing for a small change in subject, "Have you ever wondered about his power? I mean we all accept where it comes from, but doesn't his 'Faith'," air quotes, "Stand in direct contradicion to your own abilities?"
Harry Dresden "Pretty much yes." he agrees,"It defines him and my power defines me." A drink again and he shrugs,"I don't wonder too much about his power. It works and it has saved both of our lives on multiple occasions. I know there are gods out there, as it happens he follows the one with the capital G. He's family and we have the same mission for the most part."
Thomas Raith Thomas Raith shrugs a bit, nodding. "Oh I understand the whole point between capital and lowercase." He chuckles a bit and says, "Actually have some of that in my own history. I remember reading in one of my father's books that the first White Court were the offspring of /a/ and I emphisise /a/ not /the/ leanan sidhe. Imagine my surprise at hearing about Lea for the first time.
Harry Dresden "The distinction needs to be made." Harry agrees and takes another drink. He considers the idea of the White Court being offspring of a leanan sidhe,"Let her be your godmother then." he comments lightly. Ofcourse it doesn't work that way.

It is nice to spend some time with his brother and not be bothered by anything else. That is difficult to attain sometimes. They understand each other and it's easy to talk into the night until Thomas has to go in to the club.
