Owner Pose
Firestar Angelica told Peter a long time ago, her door or window is always open. She is mostly living on her own, but sometimes Vanessa is here too. Right now she is by herself so she is pretty casual, wearing a tank top and short cut denim shorts. At the moment she is cleaning up the house, some books stacked near the couch for study.
Spider-Man While Peter has -- in theory -- trying to keep a relatively low profile as Spider-Man, to try and avoid as much entanglement with the local authorities as he can, that doesn't always go quite as well as he might hope for.

The simple fact is that he rather likes the wall-crawling gig. Not necessarily everything that goes along with it, mind you. But swinging about the city? Helping where he can? He is definitely down for that part and so despite his best intentions he finds himself in costume, swinging high above the city streets as often as not.

As fate would have it, he is swinging through a rather familiar neighborhood and decides to take the chance and see if Angelica is home. Orienting himself, it doesn't take him long to find her building, her apartment, peering through the window before wrapping on it quietly.

Yes, she said drop by anytime. But it is hard to overcome all of May Parker's training. And just barging into someone's home simply isn't done.
Firestar She looks towards the sound of knocking. She smiles broadly and motions him,"Get in her Spidey. It's been too long." she chides him gently,"I would ask if you've eaten, but if Gwen isn't with you I know the answer to that. Get in here and I'll make you something."

She heads to the kitchette area and checks the refrigerator,"I have left over Chinese, pizza that may be a little suspect by now, and I have the makings for spaghetti."
Spider-Man It's not exactly hard to tell what the gesture means and the wall-crawler slips open that window and nimbly slides inside with remarkable swiftness before sliding it closed in his wake. Probably best not to let anyone see him visit. He's not exactly the most respectable visitor these days. Or really any days if he's entirely honest.

"Mmmmmm, food. I shall bless you muchly and loudly," he asserts, tugging off that mask to revealled the tousle-haired features of Peter Parker, casually tucking it into the waist of his costume. "Your leftovers are more then good enough for me Angel. Thanks," he says with a smile, following her into the kitchenette area, casually leaning in the door frame.

"So, how's everything going with you?"
Firestar She smirks a little and starts to get the Chinese food warmed up. It's mostly beef and broccoli. A few crab rangoon and one egg roll makes up the rest. Once he takes off his mask, she walks over to him and kisses his cheek,"It's good to see you Pete."

She goes back to warming up the food and tells him,"I am doing well eough. Staying busy. Finals are coming up and NYU, the Philosphy final sucks, everything else is in control."

She considers again and tells him,"You really should think about adopting a new identity until Spidey is cleared. That or wear the black costume again to not stand out as much. I haven't heard about Venom of late."
Spider-Man Look, beggars can't be choosers and when it comes to food, Pete has generally shown that he will eat just about anything. Even more so when he is not the one cooking or paying for it. Once you get to that point everything is pretty much a bonus.

Smiling, he leans in a little, slipping an arm about the redhead's shoulders and bumping her hip with his own before straightening once more. "Good to see you too. Glad to hear that you're staying busy, even if exam time is rarely the best time," he agrees. Even he had his trials and tribulations come the college years, though much of that had to do with his goings on as Spider-Man rathern then aptitude.

"I've been thinking about it," he agrees with a slow nod. "Throwing something together, maybe find some new tricks to make it a little less obvious about who's under the mask," he admits. Time, as always, is not his friend.
Firestar Chuckling softly at the hip bump she gets food plated,"How is Gwen doing? I saw her about a week ago. Sounds like she has been busy too." she admits.

She puts the plate on the counter and says,"Sit, eat. There is Pepsi and bottled water in the refrigerator. I have a bottle of Evan Williams if you want something with more kick."

She shakes her head and offers,"Maybe it's time to go past thinking about it and just do it." she offers,"Not telling you how to live your life, just worried for your safety."
Spider-Man "Slammed," Pete agrees, abandonning his perch in the doorway to slip into the kitchen proper, moving towards the fridge. "We're kinda ships that pass in the night lately. I guess that's kind of inevitable with all the things we have on the go," he conceeds.

It isn't hard to find that Pepsi waiting in the fridge and he slips it out. "I better pass on the kick. I still gotta swing myself back to my place," he notes with a quiet laugh, slipping over to find somewhere to seat himself.

"I mean, you're not wrong. But nothing we do is exactly safe, now is it?" Pete says with a quiet sigh. "I'm not sure if a new paint job is really going to fool anyone," he admits before smiling over at Angelica. "But I do appreciate it. It's always nice to know that there are a few people out there that give a damn."
Firestar Grabbing herself a bottle of Pepsi, she makes sure everything is shut off. She walks to over to join him, taking a seat nearby. Once they are settled,"Ships passing in the night sucks, but I understand that really."

"Listen Pete. I know it will be a pain, but there are ways. Talk with the X-Men or the Avengers. See if you can come up with some sort of rocket pack. I could ask the League, but despite my stance on you they aren't sure about you so they might not be of a mind to help."
Spider-Man One can burn a lot of calories swinging around the city and Pete dives into those heated leftovers with the sort of gusto that even really good chinese food might not truly deserve, taking a sip of the Pepsi that sits nearby. "An unfortunate reality, it kinda feels, when you choose this life," he admits.

He does listen and nod at her suggestion even as he munches away on the snack she provides, lips curved into a smile. "I'll check in and see. But it's hard to blame anyone for not wanting to get two involved," he conceeds. "Worse come to worst I really have been working on things. Some designs, a few toys that might obscure things a little," he admits before grinning. "And it's always nice to tinker a little."
Firestar She takes a notebook and opens it. A few sketches of a costume is on the page,"Gwen and I are going to get me something to wear while I am with the League. I might as well start fresh while in the field with them."

She nods and tells him,"I'd sleep a little better knowing you were looking into that. I love Spiderman and I love Peter Parker. I want to see them both safe. I need to know you are doing anything to stay ahead of this mess. I haven't seen anything at the park in my patrols."
Spider-Man Pausing in the process of shovelling food into his mouth and washing it down with the occasional sip of Pepsi, Pete leans over when she produces that notebook and produces the sketchpad with its possible designs. "Nice," he says letting out a low whistle. "Sometimes a fresh start can be kinda nice I imagine," he agrees.

Settling back into his seat, he smiles once more, a quiet laugh slipping from him. "Hey, believe it or not I have a notebook like that too with a few possible alternate designs," he points out, reaching over and covering her hand with his own for a moment. "Maybe I'll bring it the next time I stop by. Assuming I haven't already suited up in one of them," he says before returning to eating. "Yeah, what I really need to do is find Chameleon. Assuming he really is the one who was immitating me."
Firestar The oufit is primarily blue, with red accents,"I love the old costume. It reminds me of you, me, and Bobby. Of the New Warriors. I just need to move on." she admits,"With them anyway."

She considers and she admits,"I don't know if he would help if I asked, but I do know the World's Greatest Detective. Maybe he can point me in a direction we haven't thought of. I don't know. He's prety intense to interact with."
Spider-Man "I get that," Pete says earnestly, taking another long pull from that bottle of Pepsi. "You've been through a lot too. There's nothing wrong with you getting a little bit of a fresh start," he assures her warmly.

"Oh yes, those Gotham types. Creepy," Pete says with a mock shudder. "But yeah, who knows. Any port in the storm, right?" he conceeds. "I'm not that hard up. Spider-Woman has really stood up for me and given me access to Avenger's Mansion. And Mr. Stark has been good to me in the pass. I actually just ran into Captain America and he told me to keep at it, no matter what anyone else says," he admits, smiling.

"It's good to know that I'm not going it alone."
Firestar Angelica turns a little and rests a hand on his shoulder lightly,"We've been through a lot Peter. All of us. I mean we went to Transylvania and faced that evil and we've dealt with Dr. Doom too."

"Batman is an intense man, very intelligent by my estimation, and I think he stands by his friends in the worst of times." she admits,"I don't know him well, but maybe he can help put some feelers out. I will see if I can meet him soon."

She nods listening to him name drop and she laughs softly,"That's some big names and heavy hitters my friend." She pats the shoulder lightly and tells him,"You're never alone when I still live my friend. Ever." Her eyes are soft and serious at the same time.
Spider-Man Certainly they have faced any number of daunting challenges in their lives. Sometimes alone. But sometimes together as well. As a generally rule it is always better to have someone there beside you, watching your back. It might have taken Peter awhile to truly learn and embrace that particular lesson, but it certainly has taken root now, after all this time.

"We certainly have had quite a run of things," he agrees wryly before growing a little more serious. "And I've heard that about him yes. I appreciate you seeing what you can do Angel," he says with a smile, giving her hand another gentle squeeze.

He does smile that that. "I do have a few more friends that I thought I did," he admits, smile warming as it turns her way. "Thank you for that. I truly appreciate it. It helps to make me sure that I'll find a way out of even this mess," he admits drily.
Firestar She nods and closes her eyes for a moment, just listening to him talk. She does understand joining with others and making team connections,"We've been anything but bored that is for certain." she admits.

"It is helpful to have friends." she tells him,"I always have your back." she assures him with a wink,"We'll see you through this for sure."
Spider-Man That draws a quiet snort of laughter from Peter and a little nod of his head, finally leaning back, finishing off the snack she was so kind to provide. "You won't get any arguments from me," he agrees. Nor, does it seem, that it is terribly likely that will change any time in the near future either.

"That does mean a lot Angel," Pete agrees quietly, giving a little nod. "Especially these days when trouble seems to be lurking behind every bush. Hopefully I don't keep you too busy."
Firestar She laughs softly and tells him,"That would be a first. No arguements from Peter Parker." she teases lightly,"You're special Peter. Maybe we missed something back in the day, maybe we didn't. It doesn't matter now. Trouble comes for you and I am with you, trouble is going to learn how hot things can get. I am never too busy for you."
Spider-Man Again he gives a quiet laugh and leans over to gently nudge her in the side before straightening in his seat once more. "Uh huh. I can just guess how special I am," he teases wryly before that smile softens, grows a little more sincere. "So long as you know the reverse is true too," he asserts quietly. "If you need me I'll come running too. We've been through a lot. What's a little more when weighed against all of that."
Firestar She teases playfully,"You are special for sure. I heard you rode the short bus and everything." It's a bad joke, but between two friends they can be just a little less than proper. She takes a drink of her Pepsi and nods,"I know Peter. I always knew. There were nights when I wanted to ask you to come to Canada, I just couldn't."
Spider-Man They can definitely get away with teasing each other in ways that others can't, or might not understand. The sort of bond that comes from time, from the sort of things that they have been through. Not easily forged maybe, but almost impossible to be broken too. "Hey, I definitely get it. Sometimes you need to do some things on your own. I'm just glad that you decided to come back this way," he admits with a wry smile, nudging her lightly once more. "Missed you."
Firestar The bad jokes between them not withstanding, she smiles a little less beleivable. She shakes her head and admits,"Pete if I could have affored to bring you, if you could have left here, I would have had you there immediately if not sooner." She sighs and after the nudge she leans over to kiss his cheek again,"Missed you too."
Spider-Man "You should have said something. I could have at least stolen away for a visit," Pete says confidently, finishing off the last of that Pepsi and laying it aside, half turning in his seat back towards her with a wry smile. "I've gotten pretty good at finding reasons to have JJJ send me places on assignment," he notes with a little smirk. "He has to be good for something afterall," he points out, smiling at the kiss. "Hey, at least we're reunited now, right?"
Firestar "I should have." she agrees softly,"I didn't and there's nothing for that." She sighs and settles into the couch a little better,"Any time you can mess JJJ out of money, that is a worthwhile project." She chuckles softly and agrees,"The band is mostly back together. We need to find Bobby for a reunion."
Spider-Man The city can wait, at least a little while longer and Peter lingers in the kitchen just long enough to take his plate to the sink and rinse it off before padding over to the couch, sinking down onto it as well. "I think so. Though in fairness it is always a good cause. And coming to visit you would have qualified, just for the record," he points out wryly. But then he had more then a little bit of a crush back in the day too. "And I'm sure we can track down Bobby sooner or later, no matter how busy things are keeping him," he says confidently.
Firestar She watches him take his things to the kitchen, nodding in approval. She smirks when he comes back and she tells him,"Having you visit would have been fantastic." she tells him. She crushed on him too, they were both too stubborn to own such behaviors.
Spider-Man "Well if nothing else it is a whole lot easier to drop by and visit now," Pete points out with a wry smile, stretching out a little on those cushions. "We might not be neighbors, but given that you can fly and I can swing, we might as well be the next best thing," he points of with a grin. "Though I think you're place is still a little nicer then mine," he admits. "Are you happy you moved into the city?"
Firestar "It's definately easier since I have my own space, not sharing it with a bunch of other people." she agrees,"You can swing up to the window whenever you want." she chuckles,"If you see a blue skinned woman, that's Vanessa, but say hello."

She looks over the place and tells him,"A friend of mine came in here after I secured the place and paid a year of rent so I can afford to stay here. Vanessa is brining in some money too, so I think it will be mine until I don't need it anymore."
Spider-Man It has been a good, long time since Peter actually lived with anyone.

Oh, Harry was not bad as a roommate, as far as those things go to be sure. Though there were definitely some ups and downs. And while he has certainly spent an abundance of time with one girlfriend or another, it's not quite the same as actually living with another person full time.

"I can definitely see that. I'm not sure I'd want to live even with my best friends in quite so close proximity," he admits before smiling. "Well that's great at least. And I'm glad you're not completely on your own at least. It's nice to have someone."
Firestar "She lives here part of the time. Most of her time she spends teaching at Xaviers." she explains,"It is nice when she is here. It's a little lonely when she isn't. That's why a random visit by Gwen and you tonight are always good to have. A relief from the lonely."
Spider-Man Pete nods his understanding. He's been there. They've probably all been there from time to time.

"Hey, we can't have that. If you're ever feeling lonely don't hesitate to give me a call Angel. I'll definitely do what I can to remedy that if at all possible," he promises with a smile. "You're welcome to stop by my place too, though it really, really isn't much," he admits
Firestar Angelica nods and laughs a little,"I will keep that in mind." she assures him,"I hate to bother you too much. I know you are busy and I would stop by your place, but I would wager my chaces of catching you there awake would be slim."
Spider-Man "Well, that's pretty much true," Peter conceeds. The amount of time he spends at his apartment is probably about the minimum possible. Maybe to make the odd meal, shower and catch a few hours of sleep. That's pretty much it. He's definitely not coming home to anyone there. Maybe that is part of the appeal of being elsewhere. Or maybe because it's only a small step up from a slum.

"Don't worry about bothering me. I might not always be able to drop everything, but I'll certainly do my best," he says with a smile before leaning across those cushions to brush a kiss across her cheek. "Just remember you never have to be lonely. We'll always be there for you."
Firestar "Goes both ways Pete. You know where to find me if you need. If I am not here then I am either at NYU, The Hall of Justice, or The Watchtower. That last one might be a little tricky to get to given it is in outerspace. That is a quiet a view, looking back down at the planet from there."
Spider-Man "I don't think I can swing quite that high," Pete agrees drily, a little smirk playing over his features as he lets out a low, quiet sigh. "But I might just take you up on that sometime. Even though I know you're every bit as busy as I," he admits with a smile. "And so long as you're willing to keep feeding me you'll probably have a problem keeping me away," he teases.
Firestar She laughs softly and touches his cheek playfully,"You keep showing up, I'll keep feeding you." she assures him,"We just have to make sure we find time to take care of ourselves and those we love."
Spider-Man He flashes a brief smile at that. "You're a soft touch Angel. Better be careful not to let any arachnid type heroes take advantage of that," he teases. "Hopefully everyone in your life knows how lucky they are to have you in it," Pete says gently.
Firestar She looks at him for a moment and mutters,"Well one can if he wants." She lets her hand down and looks away because that got awkward in a hurry. She forces a smile and tells him,"I think they are all happy to have me around. Who wouldn't want a small nuclear bomb in their corner?"
Spider-Man He tilts his head for just a moment, regarding her thoughtfully. "That's a pretty good point," he allows after a moment, a flickering smile briefly sliding over his expression before he leans over and steals that hand back, holding it between his own. "But you're a whole lot more then that. I definitely like having you in my corner in a fight," he asserts. "But that's not the main reason I like having you around."
Firestar A faithful partner, but Vanessa knows Angelica and Spidey have been through Hell. She is certainly more liberal in the amount of touch and connection she permits with him. She listens to his words and she assures him,"You will always have me in your corner and you'll never have to ask."
Spider-Man They are sentiments that they have shared many times, and they are never any less true, nor taken for granted. Still, they at least seem to merit undue consideration before Pete dips his head fractionally and smiles. "Believe me I know," he assures her. But instead of letting it go there, Pete reaches over, stroking fingers along her cheek before catch her chin among them before he leans in. This time it is no quick quick brush along her cheek. This time his lips brush hers once, then again, lingering for a moment before he leans back. "I think we should talk. Soon."
Firestar It is a long moment, her listening to him talk. Watching him move closer. She nods when he tells her he knows. The touch of his fingers to her cheek makes her eyes close just a little, still looking, but a softer look.

She expects the cheek kiss, but when his lips meet her lips her eyes widen a little in surprise. The linger is all the time she needs to calm again, the second brush gets a little response to it. Finally she nods as he leans back. When he says they need to talk she tells him softly,"Ok. Soon."
