Clark Kent Clark hasn't seen Lois in a good minute. And it's been a good five minutes since seeing Kara. So, Clark decides something different. He starts up a group chat and begins: <<I know everyone has been busy with work, life and everything else. I'll be at Big Belly Burger at Senreville. You're both welcome to join. I'll pay! :D>>

He's not sure who would respond to it. Either way, he'll give it a shot. At first he waits toward the back of the line waiting to see if anyone shows up. He'll wave people ahead that come in after him, "Go ahead. I'm waiting for people," Clark speaks in a friendly manner. Despite dressing in a modest suit, cheap by Wayne standards, Clark looks overdressed for Big Belly Burger because of a charcoal grey suit, a white button up shirt and a simple bland red tie. Nothing that takes the eye away from the suit, but it goes with it.

Dull blue eyes take in the sight and the menu, but he already decided his meal ages ago. Clark will look around awkwardly as time continues to tick by. After a bit Clark will order a simple large fry, regular sized cola and then head off to a table. The plan is to just idly eat fries and wat to see if a familiar face appears.
Kara Danvers Sometimes, well, time just escapes. People get so busy, things just -happen-, and the next thing you know it's been months since you've really seen anybody. Granted, it's the good kind of busy. The helping people and managing the various intrapersonal relationships that are the Titans kind. Kara relishes it. It lets her be -her-, be Kara Zor-El rather than Kara Danvers. Sometimes being a Human is hard and weird. Living in the Supergirl mantle is easier, if sometimes more dangerous.

Her phone bings as she's actually taking a minute for herself in Titans' Tower. After the Thanksgiving dinner and other various issues she had to deal with after, some time to decompress is just nice. Her eyes widen just a bit to see it's from Kal. She barely takes a moment to decide before she's just -gone-.

She ran the risk of flying in her civvies, but it's probably fine. Either way, Kara strolls in, tapping away at her phone and makes a bee line for Clark's table, seemingly without looking. She's dressed in skinny jeans, running shoes and a Metropolis U hoodie that's at least two sizes too big. She glances at the table number, taps her phone and then sits across from her cousin.

"It's been a while K--Clark. I'm almost surprised to hear from you."
Clark Kent Clark hears her before seeing Kara. It's the calmed rush of her step. A difficulty few others share, having the power to run at nearly unimaginable speeds, forcing yourself to walk at a "normal" pace, being excited to see someone and having to restrain yourself in a second way. And all of this has to be done in a manner of seconds. By the time she makes it to him, he's loking at her while pushing up those thick lensed glasses.

"Kara!" Clark says catching the slip, but not chiding her. "I ummm didn't think you'd come," Clark is happy there was a friendsgiving with the Titans. He heard rumors and does keep -some- tabs on the few blood relatives about. "It's just been too long and I missed my cousin," he admits honestly.

"I can order you a meal. I was holding off on getting a Big Belly Buster until you or Lois showed up," Clark gives a sheepish smile. All the power in the world, yet there are things that even Superman can't do, like pull aside people from busy schedules. "How have you been?" Clark's all ears for what his cousin has been up to.
Kara Danvers Kara's smile turns sly. "I already ordered, Clark. Technology is great," she says as she holds up her phone. "If, you know," her tone dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. "Primitive." Apps are great, and sometimes you get reward points!

"Oh, Lois swung by the Friendsgiving thing at Titans Tower. She, uh, seemed slightly annoyed for some reason. At least until I fed her and let her in the booze cooler." That mischievous twinkle is still in her eye. "I'm alright. Busy with ... my team. You know how that is. Nothing too big to handle though. How about you? Anything wild going on?"
Clark Kent "Ah!" Clark realizes she used the app. It's how someone gets Big Belly Bucks to go toward free food. He shakes his head a little bit, "Now now Kara," he chides a little bit.

"Oh!" Clark pauses a little bit. He wonders if that's why she sounded a happier that night. It's one of their few meetings lately.

"How is the group?" Clark asks just trying to see how she's doing with the Titans.

"Nothing too wild. A bit of the same. Maybe even a little too quiet," Clark pauses a bit and shakes his head. "Starting to sound like an old friend," sometimes Batman has a point. That's what worries Clark.

"I'm just waiting for the shoe to drop before life will get busier than I can imagine," Kara would know all senses of that phrase.
Kara Danvers "I completely understand," she replies with one nod, kind of burrowing into her giant hoodie for a moment, her expression going pensive. "Like, it's almost like the sailing is too smooth, and soon something is going to explode and it's going to be -real- bad."

Luckily they're both good at keeping things vague enough that she could be talking about school as poosed to Lobo showing up to party or Brainiac showing up to ... Brainiac.

"I'd rather things just kept going they way they are, though. Boring is better than the other option."
Clark Kent Clark sighs and goes up to order a Big Belly Burger the old fashion way. "I'm afraid of the smooth sailing," he admts. She's right, it's too smooth. That little fact sticks out to him like a sore thumb.

"What are you worried about happening?" he asks knowing that their coded language goes so far. When it's hs turn h'll order a simple meal. Their answer to a bacon double cheeseburger with a small frry and a large drink. The fries are just to supplement his portion of the shared fries.

"We should put our heads together at the family home, maybe see if we can't see if a bad day might be ahead." Her advanced computer knowledge may be a boon to him in the Fortress. Kara may know how to operate the system in a way hee hasn't quite figured out yet.
Kara Danvers "I'm not sure, but, like...," she starts, then pauses when her order arrives due to the magic of ordering it on a smartphone as she walked in the door. The burger and fries are, well, sane. The strawberry milkshake is Not. The madwoman ordered a large. Luckily Kryptonians don't have any issues with lactose. She pauses to sip the giant dessert-beverage to let the staff step away before she continues.

"When it's quiet, there's a ...tension. It's building, and the longer it builds, the bigger the snap. Like a volcano." She nods again. "And that's a good idea. That might be able to help. Maybe get Karen to come down too. Just to be inclusive, you know?"
Clark Kent And there's a genuine pause from Clark. What he does not expect Kara to talk about is Karen. Yes, they've talked about each other, but this is the first time Kara has mentioned her "sister" by now.

"It would be nice to see the rest of the family," Clark admits, piggybacking off of that. "When are you available for a family meeting?" hea ks honestly, taking his food back to their spot. Dull bluee eyes looking happy as he takes this stroke of luck.
Kara Danvers "I...I've been thinking about her for a bit. She...kinda got a raw deal, and I don't think I've been treating her too fairly. I want to change it." She takes another sip of her milkshake before snagging a fry and dipping it into the ice cream.

"Kori told me some stories about -her- sister and, well, I don't want that. So I figure I should reach out."
Clark Kent Clark understands that realization too well. Kara's not the only one with a sibling at the table. Clark did make peace with it a alittl faster. He would not force Kara to look at it in a similar way. Yes, he secretly hoped she would have a change of heart. A decision so intimate is up to the indivudal. So, he would never push.

"We'll ll work on it together, yeah? Like a properly family should," Clark gives a small smile. It's a surprise set of circumstances. Clark's ready to begin it right now, but he knows time may not be on their side right this second. So it would take a bit of planning.
