Clark Kent Clark and food, the odd pairing once again. He doesn't -need- to eat. However, he indulges to make himself look human. To give himself a routine. Plus, it's tasty.

This is how a few outings have gone lately. A mass text to those in the family chat. "Going out for lunch. Come if you can," and the address.

Kara showed up in the past to another location. No one showed up the second time. The results are mixed.

And so he sits there in a booth. A dark blue suit on his person, simple white button up shirt and a dull red tie.

Pushing p his glasses he takes his time to look over the menu. A few offerings look tasty.

"Just a coffee for now," he says with a friendly smile to the waitress working his area. "I'm waiting t see if family will join me. They're busy with careers s it's hit or miss," he says letting the waitress know it may be just him. It may be more than that.

Dull blue eyes return to the menu. This is how he's spent a few of his afternoons.
Lois Lane Lois Lane often wondered how many things the Kryptonian actually *needed* to do besides absorb sunlight like a plant. She is the first to join him, dressed in jeans and a festive red velvet shirt underneath a forest green jacket adorned with a candy cane brooch. "Hey, Clark, how you been? Expecting a party tonight?" she asks brightly, peering around the place.
Mon-El     Lar has just returned from a long stint away from Earth, so when he saw the message from Clark he decided now was as good a time as any to catch up. He sends off a quick message to let his Kryptonian friend know he's on his way, then heads to the restaurant in Metropolis...it's an interesting choice, given Luthor's general distrust of aliens. But that doesn't mean his restaurants can't do Terran food well, right?

Casual clothing is worn for this little outing, something to fit the season, even if he doesn't really need to dress warmly. It's nice not to draw unwanted stares. He quickly locates Lois and Clark and approaches, smiling amicably. "Hey Clark." he greets, before his gaze goes over to Lois. "You must be Lois."
Clark Kent "No. I wasn't sure who would come," Clark doesn't say anything about the last time. "I wasn't sure who would come," he admits and shrugs for a moment. "You're looking festive,' he gives her a soft smile. She is a sight for sore eyes. A wonderful festive sight. That's when his phone buzzes.

A Brow raises at and he stares at the home. "Lois. You're about to meet one of my cousins. He's, he's actually in town," while they are not related, not every family member needs to be kin.

"Lois this is," Clark's voice trails as Lar has gone by a few different names. He just wats to see how the introduction would go. "When did you get back?" Clark's actually smiling big. A long lost face in this unfamiliar place. "Please sit. Kara and Karen haven't joined. I apologize," he says to both of them. He hoped everyone was there, but this is a pleasant surprise.
Lois Lane Lois Lane chuckles, leaning down to kiss him lightly on the cheek. "You been burning the midnight oil again? You sound a touch tired." she settles in the seat across from him, "Soo who else are you expecting?" and that's when Lar arrives. She smiles and nods to him.

"I see my reputation precedes me." she smiles and nods, "Lois Lane, and you are..?" she peers thoughtfully at Lar with the eye of an inquisitive reporter, trying to find similarities. Another cousin? Long lost brother perhaps? or...Just a random guy?"
Mon-El     "Lar Gand." Lar answers, smiling politely and sitting down with them. "Yeah, he talks about you all the time." he says, looking to Clark.

"A few days ago." he says in response to Clark's question.
Clark Kent Kissing Lois backs softly. "I'm worn, not ncessarily tired," Clak admits sftly "I wasn't expecting anyone," he always keep thse open ended. Give people the chance to join them or decline.

"I was gong t go for a burger. Just something basic," he admits to the pair and gestures for them to sit. "This is my treat, don't try to pay," he says to both of them. Well, this is more toward Lois.

"There are more family members here, Lar," he's making sure the pair are understanding. Clark's outsing, so he wanted to treat.

A waitress will come up to the table and take their drink orders before the waitess laves to wrk on othe tables.

"I just wanted to brng the family together. I would love to have all of us tgether for Christmas, if possible." Clark desn't need it n the day of. Just some times relatively close to it. kara wuld have her bligatioins to thtitans, s it's to aapt to others wth hectic schedules.

"Mayb we should try for presents?" hea sks th table just puttng that out there. Yes it's close to Christmas and hee's borderline nuts for even suggestng this ne. Still, he puts it out thre.
Lois Lane Lois Lane chuckles, "All good things I'm sure!" but she is certainly not lacking in confidence. "Nice to meet you, Lar. So how do you two know each other?"

Glancing at Clark, her smile fades just a bit, dark eyes flitting with concern. "Take it easy, Clark, even you get to take a vacation once in a while." she smiles, "Christmas family dinner would be nice, maybe we can do secret Santa or something.."
Mon-El     There is a slight shift in Lar's expression when Kara is mentioned. Maybe a little bit of guilt. A hint of regret. Sometimes, he wished she wouldn't be so tethered to Earth, as nice as it was. But...ah, he should stop dwelling on the past.

He smiles again. "Of course." he confirms when Lois makes the assumption that the things being said about her are good. He also nods when Clark suggests the idea of a family Christmas dinner. "That definitely sounds nice." he says, picking up a menu and glancing at it. Although a brow goes up a little bit at Lois' comment. "What's 'secret santa'?" he asks. So many alien cultures out there, it was easy to forget some of it...
