Jacen Driving out of the city for a while to get away from the stress, Jacen is in the northern part of the state in a late model 3/4 4x4 Ford. Not the most fuel efficient thing in the world, but it runs good and can get most anywhere.

Coming around a corner, he brakes hard because there is a rolled over car in the road. He turns off the road and hits a switch. The hazards come on and then a set of wig wags on the headlights and tail lights as well.

Getting out of the truck, he grabs a heavy looking blue bag and runs at the car. Her touches the necklace, a spirit bear appears around him and roars in silence from the world beyond. The bag goes from a little heavy to not really noticeable and he runs easier.
Skye Johnson Jacen thinks he's got an newer model car? Hah! Enter Gretel. Skye's beloved VW van from at least the turn of the century. She keeps the motor pool at SHIELD busy, seeing as she refuses to get rid of it, and at times it was beneficial working on a mission.

Today she had turned the wrong direction during road construction, and ended out in the boonies. Or as she preferred to say: in the middle of buttfuck nowhere.

She was just turning off the road to take a look at a map, when she saw the accident/

(Yes, Skye realizes the irony of a hacker not having GPS, but in her defence, in was a old van and it would be rude to rig up GPS given her (Gretel's) age. And in return, Gretel had, for the most part, kept on going.)

Hopping out of her vehicle, she approaches. "You're first on scene? Where do you want me?"
Jacen Jacen gets to the accident and drops down to look into the car. He reaches into his pocket and starts dialing 911. He grumbles and mutters a string of curses,"No. I cain't hold ya pri..."

On his feet, he hears the van and then the voice behind him. He turns towards Skye and tosses the phone,"Give'm our c'ordinates, they're on th' screen. Tell'm two patients, neither concious, both breathin'."

He goes around and checks the other patience and then he pauses. Looking back he sees gasoline dripping,"Degree of difficulty up. Tell'm we got a gas leak. No obvious spark but I'd like ta keep't that way."
Skye Johnson Hey, she knows him. Barely. And if she wasn't mistaken, he was the perfect person to have on board with an accident.

As he tosses the phone, she used her phone as well. Hell, what good is it if you don't get strings to pull? And pull she did, using her SHIELD ID to get faster service.

Once she made contact, she held it open, telling them to send an emergency truck as well. Seeing the gas leak, she assess the damage, and how far (or in this case, close) the accident victims were to it. "Are you sure it's going to hold off blowing up?"

She wondered would it be more expedient to move them, or contain the spillage
Jacen He reaches into the bag and produces two neck braces. Carefully he places one on each patient and replies,"Ain' sure 'bout nothing. I don' see no reason for it ta happen, but if it does I'm turning this thing over and getting them outa here." He's big, but is he that big?

Once both C collars are in place he takes a moment to breathe and look over the vehicle again,"Look f'r any exposed wires up front. Spark'll set th' fumes off. Long's you don' see nothin'n I don' see nothin' we're leavin' it as is."
Skye Johnson Skye nods slowly.

Either Jacen was the kind of guy who makes big claims but doesn't deliver, or he was something else beneath the surface.

"I can help. If I can get a shimmy started, I can hold it up to allow you to get them out." All the while checking around the vehicle for open wires that could set off a spark.
Jacen Off in the distance, there starts to be the sounds of sirens. There will still be several minutes before they arrive. From the front of the has a few lines sparking

There is a little bit of fuel leaking out of the back, but at least the fluid is rolling away from the car. Still not the safest. Neither is rolling the car over for that matter. He has both of them braced at the neck and looks at the truck for a moment, then shakes his head.

"They're comin', but we've got a little while, what's th' situation back there?" he asks and moves to talk to one patient that woke up. Trying to keep him calm.
Skye Johnson "I wouldn't want to turn the engine over, if that is what you mean."

By that time she has completed her first pass. "If we can hear the sirens, it's probably better to let the professional rescue workers do that." She quickly assesses that the traffic is being diverted.
Jacen Listening, he nods and then moves around to check the other patient,"I don' wanna mess with't if we c'n avoid it." he agrees. He takes a little bit to get most of her vitals.

The sirens get closer and closer and he gets out of the rolled car. Walking to the truck he produces two road flares. He walks up the road towards the incoming emergency workers and lights it. Looking back over the road to the opposite side of the accident, he notices vehicles coming in.

He reaches into the medicine pouch on his hip and takes something from within. For those with spirit sight, a moutain lion appears before him and suddenly runs before him. When Jacen runs, he runs. He isn't The Flash fast, but he can move. He crosses the distance, wearing cowboy boots, in a speed that would get him a place on any baseball or football team and make him millions. He strikes the last flare with a few seconds to spare so they can slow down passing.
Skye Johnson He was correct, being the paramedic. Now, if they were up against gunfire, or worse, she would be the one barking out orders. Though, her specialty was computer espionage. And, she guesses (now) an ace in the hole against bad guys. Especially Hydra.

What she didn't know was that he had flares (oops?), and damn the man could move. Yeah, he was a mutant of some sort. A magic user? Something in between?

Skye watches the vehicles, still, in case. But she spares a little time watching him jaunt here and there to get the flares in place.
Jacen Just as the ambulance and police arrive, Jacen walks up to the car and looks around the area where the dripping might be. Reaching up, he touches the bone necklace again.

"Ah'ight a gnarly wretch, show me whatcha got." he mutters to himself. There is a sound of bending, wrenching metal and the drip from the car stops shortly after. The flares are both far from any fuel, but when the firefighters arrive he points out the spill and then moves to let them do what they need.

He wanders over near where Skye is standing he mutters,"They might ask ya ta make a statement, might not. No biggie, justa witness statement ta what happened since ya got here." he explains,"It won' take long'n I'l try ta talk'm outa it so ya don' get held up f'r helpin' out."
Skye Johnson Skye laughs softly. "I'm aware. Half the attending policemen know me." And she nods to one in particular.

"Don't worry!" She holds up her hands. "I am not responsible for this one." She tells the policeman who was headed towards her, half expecting her to be atb fault for this. And wondering what did he do to deserve it. "I just happened to see this man taking charge of the situation. For once it's not me."

"Thank god. The paperwork would have been hell." He shakes his head.

"See? He won't bother me." Skye was smug.
Jacen Nodding, he continues to watch things play out. Carefully they two are removed from the car and eventually it is dragged off the road completely,"You'er gonna hafta teach me how ya done that." he mutters.

He watches the officer go take care of other things and start to clean up of the site.

"I thought th's w's my day off. Reckon there's no such thing." One of the medics come up and he talks to them, eventually agreeing to go back to the hospital with them to make sure everything is crossed t's and dotted i's.

He looks at her again and mutters,"Yeah, defin'tly gonna hafta teach me that one." Pushing his hat back he offers,"Owe ya beer some time. Thanks f'r th' assist. Reckon I get ta go twiddle my thumbs'n a hospital f'r a while. Maybe I'll pick up another PRN job."
Skye Johnson There is a snort from Slye. "You don't want to know my secret."

She cants her head to one side. "I'll let you in. I'm usually in the thick of these things. Well, not so much accidents. Worse. I'm what you would call, if you were him, a pain in the ass. I work for SHIELD actually. And no. There's no such thing as a day off in my line."
Jacen A nod and he continues to watch them finish packaging things up. When she speaks of being a pain in the ass and then being a member of SHIELD he chuckles softly.

"Agent of SHIELD. That explains quite a bit." he agrees and glances as he hears the doors shut on the two ambulance and the sirens take up.

"Well. It's been real." he tells her with a wink,"Ima go chase th' ambulance I reckon. They actually want me ta do it, might's well break th' law when th' police'n paramedics tell you too."

He leans down and picks up the bag he carried into the scene to begin with. It is obvious it is heavy and it makes a hollow metallic sound insider,"Oxygen cylinder." he explains,"Next thing goin' on'f we hadn' heard th' sirens when we did. Take care'n take me up on that beer. I'm buyin'."
