Batman Generally speaking, when it comes to Wayne Enterprises business, Bruce Wayne prefers to leave such things up to Lucius Fox, outwardly playing a very minor role in the day to day decision making for the corporation that bears his name.

But this is an unusual encounter. While on the surface it might be another fellow CEO stopping in for a visit, to discuss some mutual interests, Bruce Wayne is pretty good at digging beneath the surface. Or at least Batman is.

Which is why he is sitting in his office, waiting for the infamous Emma Frost to be ushered into his office. His regular assistant has been given the day off and the normal swath of high ranking executives that would fill this floor all seem to be out and about.
Emma Frost In truth, when she originally booked this meeting Emma had done so with the intent of meeting up with Lucius Fox. Afterall, it is all but an open secret in the business community that while Bruce Wayne might be the CEO of his family's company, it is Lucius that does all the heavy lifting.

So it was a slight surprise to find that her appointment had been changed, that she was not to meet the puppet on the throne himself instead. And while that might make it a little more difficult to achieve real results, Emma Frost is still very curious indeed.

It isn't hard to detect the unusual preparations that seem to have gone into her visit, the fact that every prominent executive seems to be offsite, the faint confusion that radiates from the staff that remains behind, the surface thoughts practically broadcast, and as Emma steps into the office she smiles and practically purrs at the man behind the desk. "Ahhh, the infamous Bruce Wayne himself. I hadn't intended to take up any of your valuable time. Thank you for agreeing to meet."
Batman Of course, Bruce has not taken this meeting without taking a few precautions, not with the information that he has one one Emma Frost. And the fact that he has access to some pretty advanced technology thanks to the league.

So the dark haired billionaire is all smiles as he rises from his desk to greet his guest, dipping his head towards her and starting to circle around. "Emma, so good of you to make the trip to Gotham. I'm so pleased that I happened to be in a position to take this meeting myself," he says cheerfully, managing to lie with his entire being so artfully.

"So, what is it that I, or Wayne Enterprises, can do for you?"
Emma Frost Swaying forward, the blonde mutant extends a hand to him, taking his own if it should be offered as that pleasant smile never falters on those frosted lips of hers.

Her brow does arch ever so slightly however as she nears. It might not be terribly polite of course, but by this point it is instinct. Even self-defense. She reaches out with her mind and finds... a void. Nothing. How... intriguing. Clearly there is a little more to this man then what she's been led to believe.

"The pleasure is most definitely mine, Bruce," she purrs, nothing else reflecting her surprise showing up on her expression. "And most of it comes down to the fact that you and your company is a real leader here in Gotham. As you may or may not be aware I have a particular interest in mutants. Especially their welfare. And I was rather hoping that I might be able to talk you and your company into lending a little support for such initiatives here in Gotham."
Batman Is that her real purpose here?

It's plausible enough, given what the Dark Knight knows about Emma Frost and as he takes her hand in his own warmly, he purses his lips consideringly at her request.

"I see," he says speculatively, motioning towards one of the chairs that sit before his desk, sinking down into the other and swivelling to face her, rather try some silly power move of taking a seat behind that massive desk. "I can understand that and it is certainly a worthy enough cause," he admits.

"Though perhaps it might be better served through my personal charitable organization instead, the Wayne Foundation?" he suggests quietly. "What exactly did you have in mind?"
Emma Frost It would seem that they both are going to take away some intriguing questions from this little tete-a-tete.

Emma smiles charmingly as she sinks down into the offered chair, folding one leg atop the other -- and not inciddentally showing off her legs in that smart, if short, business suit. "Nothing too outlandish, I assure you," she says with practiced ease, casually steepling fingers in front of her and peering over top of them towards her host.

"Having a few programs offered, perhaps a rec center dedicated to mutants in the city would all be nice. But if if carries the Wayne name with them? That is the real prize, as I'm sure you can see. A sort of instant legitimacy. A spotlight shined on the issue.

"And as you say, it's a good cause. And you are known for backing good causes."
